The end face clearance between the engine oil pump oil pumping parts (inner and outer rotors, gear pairs and the like) and the shell is a key parameter influencing the performance of the engine oil pump, so that the end face clearance can be rapidly identified and unqualified in the final assembly process, and the method plays an important role in improving the quality of the oil pump.

In the existing oil pump assembling process, the following problems exist in the detection of the end face clearance:

1) A special dial indicator checking tool is adopted for manual hand-held detection, the randomness of detection points is high, and the state of a detected plane cannot be comprehensively reflected;

2) The manual detection efficiency is low, and the error is large;

3) The possibility of missing detection, misjudgment and the like exists in manual detection;

4) The existing detection data cannot be automatically stored and has no traceability, and the manual recording has great risks of omission and error recording.
