Technical Field

The present invention relates to a waterproof structure for a key, and more particularly, to a waterproof structure for a key with a more compact waterproof design.

Background

Recently, electronic consumer products have come into widespread use in daily life, for example, 3C products, camera products, portable appliances, and the like. In addition to their practical utility, these products require significant waterproof and dustproof designs to extend the range of use and increase the useful life of the product. The waterproof and dustproof design of the existing product is mainly at the key part, and as the key part is a very frequently used element, the waterproof colloid material is arranged between key structures and can be influenced by frequent operation to cause the problems of cracking, deformation or falling off and the like. Therefore, the waterproof and dustproof design of the product is directly affected, and therefore, it is necessary to improve the waterproof structure of the key to provide the product with more compact waterproof and dustproof effects.

Disclosure of Invention

In view of the above, there is a need for a waterproof structure of a key with a more compact waterproof design.

The invention provides a waterproof structure of a key, comprising: the button body is provided with a pair of guide posts and at least one button tip, the button body is installed on a shell of the electronic device by the aid of the guide posts and the fixed blocks in a fastened mode, the button tip penetrates through a button through hole in the shell and is opposite to a circuit board in the shell, the button tip is sleeved with the fixing ring, the waterproof ring is of a semi-closed structure with an opening end, and the waterproof ring is sleeved on the fixing ring through the opening end.

Compared with the prior art, the key waterproof structure has the advantages that the closed end of the waterproof ring is sleeved in the key through hole, so that the stressed deformation area of the waterproof ring is increased, tighter waterproof and dustproof effects can be provided, and the key waterproof structure has good practical efficiency.

Detailed Description

The present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Fig. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a waterproof structure for a keypad according to an embodiment of the present invention. The key waterproof structure 100 includes: the key assembly comprises a key body 10, a pair of fixing blocks 20, a fixing ring 30 and a waterproof ring 40, wherein the key body 10 has a pair of guide posts 12 and at least one key tip 14, the guide posts 12 are located at two ends of the key body 10, and the key body 10 is mounted on an outer casing 50 (as shown in fig. 2) of the electronic device by fastening the guide posts 12 to the fixing blocks 20. The fixing ring 30 is sleeved on the periphery of the key tip 14, and the waterproof ring 40 is sleeved on the fixing ring 30, so that the fixing ring 30 and the waterproof ring 40 are sleeved on the outer edge of the key tip 14 in sequence. In addition, the key body 10 is disposed opposite to the circuit control device of the electronic device by sleeving the key tips 14 of the fixing ring 30 and the waterproof ring 40. In this embodiment, the key waterproof structure 100 has two key bodies 10 arranged in parallel, one of the key bodies 10 has one key tip 14, the other key body 10 has two key tips 14, and the periphery of each key tip 14 is respectively sleeved with the fixing ring 30 and the waterproof ring 40 from inside to outside in sequence.

Please refer to fig. 2, which is a schematic diagram illustrating the waterproof structure of the key of fig. 1. The button waterproof structure 100 is used on the outer casing 50 of the electronic device. The electronic device is a mobile phone product, and the upper end and the lower end of the outer casing 50 are respectively provided with an upper glass cover 501 and a lower glass cover 503, and the mobile phone product is formed by assembling the upper glass cover 501 and the lower glass cover 503 at the upper end and the lower end of the outer casing 50. Specifically, a circuit board 52 is disposed inside the outer casing 50 of the mobile phone product, and the button waterproof structure 100 is disposed on an outer side surface of the outer casing 50 opposite to the circuit board 52. The key body 10 performs a touch operation on the switch circuit on the circuit board 52 through the key tip 14 and the waterproof ring 40, and the key tip 14 is opposite to the switch circuit on the circuit board 52 through a key through hole 54 on the outer shell 50. In other words, the key tip 14 is located in the key through hole 54 between the key body 10 and the outer shell 50, the fixing ring 30 and the waterproof ring 40 are disposed between the key through hole 54 and the key tip 14, and the waterproof ring 40 achieves waterproof and dustproof effects. Both ends of the fixing ring 30 are open and directly penetrate and sleeve on the key tip 14, the waterproof ring 40 is a semi-closed cylindrical structure with one open end, the waterproof ring 40 has an open end 42 and a closed end 44, the fixing ring 30 is sleeved through the open end 42 of the waterproof ring 40, and the closed end 44 is opposite to the circuit board 52 (as shown in fig. 3). Therefore, the key body 10 presses and drives the key tip 14, so that the key tip 14 contacts and conducts the switch circuit on the circuit board 52 in the outer shell 50 through the closed end 44 of the waterproof ring 40.

Please refer to fig. 3, which is a sectional view of the waterproof structure of the key of fig. 2. The button waterproof structure 100 is disposed in a containing groove 56 on the outer side surface of the outer shell 50, the button through hole 54 is disposed at the bottom of the containing groove 56, and the button body 10 passes through the button through hole 54 to contact with the switch circuit on the circuit board 52. Two ends of the bottom of the accommodating groove 56 are respectively provided with a guide groove 561, and each guide groove 561 accommodates one guide post 12 of the key body 10. An embedding groove 563 is respectively arranged on two inner side walls of the accommodating groove 56, and the fixed block 20 is arranged in the embedding groove 563 so that the fixed block 20 is opposite to the guide column 12 in the accommodating groove 56. In this embodiment, the guiding column 12 has a groove 121, the groove 121 is opposite to the fixing block 20, and the fixing block 20 protrudes from the side wall of the accommodating groove 56 and extends into the groove 121 of the guiding column 12, so that the key body 10 is set in the accommodating groove 56 of the outer shell 50 by fastening the fixing block 20 and the groove 121. In other words, the key body 10 is fixed on the outer casing 50 without being separated, which is achieved by the groove 121 of the guide post 12 of the key body 10 being buckled with the fixing blocks 20 disposed on the two inner side walls of the accommodating groove 56. In addition, the accommodating groove 56 further has an elastic member 16 therein, the elastic member 16 is located between the accommodating groove 56 and the key body 10, when the key body 10 is pressed, the elastic member 16 is compressed, and the elastic restoring force of the elastic member 16 causes the key body 10 to have the restoring elasticity after being pressed in the accommodating groove 56. In this embodiment, when the key body 10 operates two or more key tips 14 at the same time, the length of the key body 10 is long, so that the elastic force of the elastic member 16 can improve the return elasticity of the pressed key body 10. However, when the key body 10 is operated only by the single key tip 14 or the length of the key body 10 is short, the key body 10 can be restored after being pressed by the elasticity of the waterproof ring 40 without increasing the arrangement of the elastic member 16 (detailed description will be given later).

Please refer to fig. 4, which is a perspective cross-sectional view of the key body of the waterproof structure of the key of fig. 2. The opening end 42 of the waterproof ring 40 is provided with a first flange 421, the opening end 32 of the fixing ring 30 is provided with a second flange 321, the fixing ring 30 is sleeved through the opening end 42 of the waterproof ring 40, so that the second flange 321 is embedded inside the first flange 421, the first flange 421 and the second flange 321 are located on one side of the key through hole 54 facing the key body 10, and the positions of the waterproof ring 40 and the fixing ring 30 in the key through hole 54 are set. Specifically, the waterproof ring 40 is sleeved on the fixing ring 30, and the first flange 421 and the second flange 321 are embedded to provide a stop function during assembly. That is, the second flange 321 stabilizes the assembly of the fixing ring 30 and the waterproof ring 40, and the first flange 421 stabilizes the installation of the waterproof ring 40 in the key insertion hole 54. In addition, the fixing ring 30 further has at least one protruding point 301 (as shown in fig. 1), the protruding point 301 is located at the other opening end 34 away from the second flange 321, and the protruding point 301 is disposed on the outer edge surface of the fixing ring 30, so that the fixing ring 30 is fixed in the key through hole 54 by the protruding point 301 and the second flange 321 being located at two sides of the key through hole 54.

Furthermore, the closed end 44 of the waterproof ring 40 includes a pressing bottom 441 and an elastic portion 443, the pressing bottom 441 is located at the bottom end of the closed end 44, the elastic portion 443 is located at the bottom edge of the closed end 44, and the elastic portion 443 connects the pressing bottom 441 and the side wall of the waterproof ring 40. In other words, the closed end 44 of the waterproof ring 40 is the pressing bottom 441 at the bottom end and the elastic portion 443 at the bottom edge. The pressing bottom part 441 is driven by the key tip 14 to press the circuit board 52, and the elastic part 443 generates an elastic deformation operation along with the pressing and touching operation of the key tip 14 on the pressing bottom part 441. Thus, the press-touch operation of the key tip 14 to the pressing bottom portion 441 is maintained by the elastic deformation of the elastic portion 443. Specifically, when the elastic portion 443 is located at the bottom edge of the closed end 44 and the key tip 14 pushes the pressing bottom portion 441 (the key body 10 is pressed), the elastic portion 443 is elastically deformed, and when the pushing force of the key tip 14 is removed (the key body 10 is not pressed), the restoring elastic force of the elastic portion 443 acts on the key tip 14 and drives the key body 10 to restore. Therefore, the elastic portion 443 of the closed end 44 of the waterproof ring 40 provides the key body 10 with a return elastic force after being pressed and a larger deformation amount, which not only maintains the waterproof performance of the waterproof ring 40, but also increases the automatic return elasticity of the key body 10, thereby effectively improving the use function of the waterproof ring 40.

In addition, the key tip 14 is made of a hard material, the waterproof ring 40 is made of a soft material, and the thickness of the pressing bottom 441 is greater than that of the side wall of the waterproof ring 40. Thereby increasing the wear-resistant degree of the pressing bottom 441, preventing the sealing ring from being damaged, and improving the service life and the accurate touch operation of the waterproof ring 40. It should be noted that the circuit board 52 inside the outer casing 50 has at least one conductive contact 521, and the conductive contact 521 is opposite to the closed end 44 of the waterproof ring 40, so that the key tip 14 presses and contacts the conductive contact 521 through the closed end 44 to conduct the control circuit on the circuit board 52. In this embodiment, the circuit board 52 is a flexible circuit board, the flexible circuit board is disposed on the inner side of the outer casing 50, and the flexible circuit board is disposed opposite to the key body 10 on the outer casing 50 through the key through hole 54. Therefore, the waterproof ring 40 with the closed end 44 is arranged in the key through hole 54, so that the waterproof and dustproof effects can be effectively improved.

In the key waterproof structure 100 of the present invention, the closed end 44 of the waterproof ring 40 is sleeved in the key through hole 54, and the elastic portion 443 of the closed end 44 increases the stressed deformation area of the waterproof ring 40, so as to provide tighter waterproof and dustproof effects, and have good practical performance.

In addition, other modifications within the spirit of the invention will occur to those skilled in the art, and it is understood that such modifications are included within the scope of the invention as claimed.
