Technical Field

Background

Membrane technology is a promising separation technology, and membrane fouling affects membrane use, separation performance, and membrane lifetime. The chemical property of the scale remover is very stable, the scale remover is basically insoluble in strong acid and strong alkali such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and the like, and the scale remover only has effect on partial components by adopting the conventional method for removing the scale with hot water.

At present, two methods of physical removal and chemical cleaning are mainly used for removing sulfur scale. The physical removal mainly comprises manual cleaning, high-pressure water gun flushing, steam heating purging, solvent physical dissolution and the like, wherein the manual cleaning and the water gun flushing generally refer to large equipment capable of entering people; the chemical cleaning is a method for removing sulfur scale by soaking and intermittent circulation of a solvent under a certain temperature or pressure to perform chemical conversion and dissolution on the sulfur scale. For membrane systems, physical methods are of little consequence.

In the market, carbon disulfide is physically dissolved, generally used as a main agent, and has the defects of high toxicity, flammability, easy volatilization, foul smell, low flash point and the like. Other solvents for membrane fouling removal have been reported only rarely. And most of the methods have the defects of high cost, low sulfur solubility, overlong dissolution time, strong corrosivity and the like.
