The method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the terminal device determines whether to transmit the uplink channel at a transmission opportunity corresponding to the uplink channel in the first message of the 2-step random access procedure based on a predetermined rule, including:

and for a symbol set indicated as a flexible symbol by a first downlink control information DCI which is indicated as a flexible symbol by an uplink configuration public message and a downlink configuration dedicated message and carries time slot structure information in the transmission opportunity, if the terminal equipment does not detect a second DCI which schedules the terminal equipment to transmit the uplink channel, the terminal equipment determines not to transmit the uplink channel on the symbol set.

The method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the terminal device determines whether to transmit the uplink channel at a transmission opportunity corresponding to the uplink channel in the first message of the 2-step random access procedure based on a predetermined rule, including:

on a TDD single carrier, for a symbol set configured by a higher layer to transmit the uplink channel in the transmission opportunity, if a terminal device detects a second DCI for instructing the terminal device to receive a downlink channel in a symbol subset of the symbol set, the terminal device determines not to transmit the uplink channel after detecting a time length T after detecting a last symbol in a control resource set of the second DCI, where the time length T is a channel processing time.

The method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the terminal device determines whether to transmit the uplink channel at a transmission opportunity corresponding to the uplink channel in the first message of the 2-step random access procedure based on a predetermined rule, including:

for a symbol set configured by a higher layer to transmit the uplink channel in the transmission opportunity, if the terminal device detects a first DCI carrying slot structure information for indicating that a symbol in a symbol subset of the symbol set is a flexible symbol or a downlink symbol, or detects a second DCI for indicating that the terminal device receives a downlink channel in the symbol subset, the terminal device determines not to transmit the uplink channel after a time duration T after detecting a last symbol in a control resource set of the first DCI and/or the second DCI, where the time duration T is channel processing time.

The method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the terminal device determines whether to transmit the uplink channel at a transmission opportunity corresponding to the uplink channel in the first message of the 2-step random access procedure based on a predetermined rule, including:

for a symbol set configured by a higher layer to transmit the uplink channel in the transmission opportunity, if a symbol in the symbol set is indicated as a flexible symbol by an uplink and downlink configuration common message and an uplink and downlink configuration dedicated message, or the uplink and downlink configuration common message and the uplink and downlink configuration dedicated message are not provided for the terminal device and the terminal device does not detect a first DCI carrying slot structure information, the terminal device determines not to send the uplink channel after M symbols after a last symbol in a control resource set used for detecting the first DCI, where the M symbols are channel processing time.

An apparatus for random access, the apparatus comprising:

a processing unit, configured to determine, based on a predetermined rule, whether to send an uplink channel on a transmission opportunity corresponding to the uplink channel in a first message in a 2-step random access process, where the uplink channel includes a physical random access channel PRACH and a physical uplink shared channel PUSCH;

a transmitting unit configured to not transmit the PRACH and not transmit the PUSCH if the processing unit determines that the PRACH is not to be transmitted;

the sending unit is further configured to not send the PUSCH and send or not send the PRACH if the processing unit determines not to send the PUSCH.

The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the processing unit is further configured to:

and if the sending unit does not send the PUSCH and sends the PRACH, determining to back from the 2-step random access process to the 4-step random access process.

The apparatus according to claim 8 or 9, wherein the processing unit is specifically configured to:

on a single carrier of time division duplex, TDD, if any symbol overlaps between the transmission opportunity and a symbol set used for transmitting a synchronization signal block, determining not to transmit the uplink channel on the symbol set.

The apparatus according to claim 8 or 9, wherein the processing unit is specifically configured to:

and for a symbol set which is indicated as a flexible symbol by the first downlink control information DCI which is indicated as a flexible symbol by the uplink and downlink configuration common message and the uplink and downlink configuration dedicated message and carries the time slot structure information in the transmission opportunity, if the terminal equipment does not detect the second DCI which schedules the terminal equipment to transmit the uplink channel, determining not to send the uplink channel on the symbol set.

The apparatus according to claim 8 or 9, wherein the processing unit is specifically configured to:

on a single carrier of TDD, for a symbol set configured by a higher layer to transmit the uplink channel in the transmission opportunity, if a terminal device detects a second DCI for instructing the terminal device to receive a downlink channel in a symbol subset of the symbol set, determining not to transmit the uplink channel after a time length T after a last symbol in a control resource set of the second DCI is detected, where the time length T is a channel processing time.

The apparatus according to claim 8 or 9, wherein the processing unit is specifically configured to:

for a symbol set configured by a higher layer to transmit the uplink channel in the transmission opportunity, if the terminal device detects a first DCI carrying slot structure information for indicating that a symbol in a symbol subset of the symbol set is a flexible symbol or a downlink symbol, or detects a second DCI for indicating that the terminal device receives the downlink channel in the symbol subset, it determines not to transmit the uplink channel after a time length T after detecting a last symbol in a control resource set of the first DCI and/or the second DCI is detected, where the time length T is a channel processing time.

The apparatus according to claim 8 or 9, wherein the processing unit is specifically configured to:

for a symbol set configured by a higher layer to transmit the uplink channel in the transmission opportunity, if a symbol in the symbol set is indicated as a flexible symbol by an uplink and downlink configuration common message and an uplink and downlink configuration dedicated message, or the uplink and downlink configuration common message and the uplink and downlink configuration dedicated message are not provided for the terminal device and the terminal device does not detect a first DCI carrying slot structure information, determining not to transmit the uplink channel after detecting M symbols after a last symbol in a control resource set for detecting the first DCI, where the M symbols are channel processing time.

A terminal device, characterized in that the terminal device comprises a processor and a memory for storing a computer program, the processor being adapted to invoke and execute the computer program stored in the memory to perform the method of any of claims 1 to 7.
