Technical Field

The invention belongs to the technical field of personal care appliances, and particularly relates to an electric toothbrush with a detachable knob.

Background

An electric toothbrush is a personal care device which utilizes a high-speed vibrating movement to drive a brush head to rotate or vibrate so as to achieve the effect of cleaning teeth. The electric toothbrush generally comprises a plurality of cleaning modes to adapt to different oral health conditions of a user, the plurality of cleaning modes are circularly switched by pressing a key switch, when the user wants to switch to the cleaning mode selected last time, the user needs to switch for selection for a plurality of times in the next mode circular switching, and the flexibility of mode selection is poor. In addition, for preventing that water from getting into the core in the gap between button and the casing, the button is together for non-detachable fixed connection with the casing, and after long-time the use, the gap between button and the casing is remained easily and is had the dirt and be difficult for cleaning, and user experience is not good.

Disclosure of Invention

It is an object of the present invention to provide an electric toothbrush having a detachable knob which includes a knob having one end connected to a housing and the other end connected to a cap and fitted over a cartridge, the knob being restricted in its axial movement by the cap cooperating with the cartridge, the cap being detachably connected to the cartridge, the knob being removable from the handle for cleaning when the cap is detached from the cartridge.

The invention provides an electric toothbrush, which comprises a brush head and a handle, wherein the handle comprises a shell, a core, a knob and a top cover, one end of the core is arranged in the shell, the other end of the core is exposed out of the shell and connected with the brush head, the knob is sleeved on the core, one end of the knob is connected to the shell, the other end of the knob is connected to the top cover, and the top cover is detachably connected with the core.

Preferably, the top cap with be equipped with the connector on one of core, the top cap with be equipped with connecting portion on the other of core, the top cap with the core passes through the connector with the cooperation of connecting portion can be dismantled and link together.

As shown in fig. 1-17, the present invention provides a power toothbrush comprising a handle 100 and a head 200, the head 200 being removably connected to the handle 100. The handle 100 comprises a shell 10, a movement 20, a knob 30 and a top cover 40, wherein one end of the movement 20 is installed in the shell 10, the other end of the movement 20 is exposed out of the shell 10 and connected with the brush head 200, the knob 30 is sleeved on the movement 20, one end of the knob 30 is connected to the shell 10, the other end of the knob 30 is connected to the top cover 40, and the top cover 40 is detachably connected with the movement 20.

An annular groove 11 for mounting the knob 30 is formed between the housing 10 and the movement 20, the knob 30 is correspondingly provided with an annular projection 31, and the annular projection 31 cooperates with the annular groove 11 to connect the knob 30 to the housing 10. The knob 30 includes a first step surface 32 and a second step surface 33, the first step surface 32 abuts against the movement 20, and the second step surface 33 abuts against the housing 10 to restrict downward movement of the knob 30. A first seal 50 is provided between the movement 20 and the casing 10 to prevent water from entering the inside of the movement from the annular groove 11. The first sealing member 50 may include a first sub-sealing member 51 and a second sub-sealing member 52 to achieve double sealing and ensure a waterproof effect.

One of the top cover 40 and the movement 20 is provided with a connector 21, the other of the top cover 40 and the movement 20 is provided with a connecting part 41, and the top cover 40 and the movement 20 are detachably connected together through the matching of the connector 21 and the connecting part 41. When it is necessary to detach the knob 30 from the handle 100, the top cover 40 is rotated to separate the connecting portion 41 from the connecting head 21 to detach the top cover 40 from the handle 100, and then the knob 30 is taken out to be cleaned. When the cleaned knob 30 needs to be mounted on the handle 100, the knob 30 is firstly sleeved on the movement 20 and the lower end of the knob is abutted against the shell 10 and the movement 20, then the top cover 40 is connected to the movement 20 through the matching of the connector 21 and the connecting part 41, the upper end of the knob 30 is abutted against the top cover 40, so that the axial displacement of the knob 30 is limited, and the knob 30 is mounted on the handle 100. The knob 30 is sleeved on the movement 20 so as to limit the radial displacement of the knob 30, and the knob 30 can rotate around the circumference of the movement 20.

Preferably, the movement 20 is provided with a connector 21, and the connector 21 includes a boss 211 arranged on the outer surface of the movement 20; the top cover 40 is provided with a connecting part 41, the connecting part 41 comprises a connecting sleeve 411, the connecting sleeve 411 is provided with a first mounting cavity 4111, and the top cover 40 is connected with the movement 20 in the first mounting cavity 4111; the connecting portion 41 further includes a cam 412 formed on an inner surface of the connecting sleeve 411, and a lower surface of the boss 211 is in surface contact with an upper surface of the cam 412 to axially retain the movement 20 in the first mounting cavity 4111.

The bosses 211 may be plural and arranged on the movement 20 in a circumferentially spaced manner. In one embodiment, there are 3 bosses 211, and any two adjacent bosses 211 are separated by an included angle of 120 °. Of course, other separation angles may be utilized as desired. The number of the cams 412 corresponds to the number of the bosses 211, and the cams 412 are formed on the inner surface of the coupling sleeve 411. When the cap 40 is detachably coupled to the movement 20, the movement 20 enters the first mounting cavity 4111, and the cap 40 or the movement 20 is rotated until the boss 211 of the movement 20 comes into surface contact with the upper surface of the cam 412 to axially retain the movement 20 in the first mounting cavity 4111 to maintain the detachable coupling. The boss 211 is provided with a first bump 2111; cam 412 is provided with a first groove 4121, and first tab 2111 is nested in first groove 4121 when cap 40 is removably coupled to cartridge 20. The first protrusion 2111 cooperates with the first groove 4121 to provide an indication that the boss 211 is connected to the cam 412 in place, and at the same time, the boss 211 is prevented from being separated from the cam 412 in a natural state (i.e., when no force is applied), so as to ensure a stable and reliable connection structure between the top cover 40 and the movement 20.

In a preferred embodiment, a second seal 60 is provided between the cap 40 and the knob 30. Specifically, the top cover 40 includes a top cover housing 42, and the top cover housing 42, the connecting sleeve 411, and the cam 412 may be formed by one-time injection molding to ensure a stable and reliable structure. The second seal 60 is disposed between the top cover housing 42 and the connecting sleeve 411. Preferably, the second seal 60 is integrally formed with the top cover 40. The second sealing member 60 is made of soft rubber, and is used for preventing water from flowing into the movement from a gap between the top cover 40 and the knob 30. A third seal 80 is provided between the cap 40 and the cartridge 20 to prevent water from flowing into the cartridge from the gap between the cap 40 and the cartridge 20.

In a preferred embodiment, the electric toothbrush further comprises an adjusting member 70, the adjusting member 70 is mounted on the knob 30, the adjusting member 70 and the knob 30 can be connected in a snap-fit manner, or in other connection manners, and at least a portion of the adjusting member 70 can move synchronously with the knob 30. The movement 20 comprises a mounting bracket 22, a power supply 23, a motor 24 and a control assembly 25, wherein the power supply 23, the motor 24 and the control assembly 25 are mounted on the mounting bracket 22. The adjustment member 70 is electrically connected to the control assembly 25, and rotation of the knob 30 causes the adjustment member 70 to move relative to the control assembly 25. The adjusting member 70 may be a conductive sheet, and the control assembly 25 includes a conductive terminal 251 and a circuit board 252, the conductive terminal 251 being electrically connected to the circuit board 252. The number of the conductive terminals 251 may be 4-10, and the conductive terminals 251 are one of a conductive pin, a conductive column, a conductive contact, and a conductive film.

Specifically, the mounting bracket 22 includes a first bracket 221, a second bracket 222, a third bracket 223, and a motor bracket 224. The third support 223 is connected to the first support 221, the circuit board 252 may include a main circuit board 2521 and a mode circuit board 2522, the main circuit board 2521 is mounted on an outer surface of the first support 221, the mode circuit board 2522 is mounted on a third step surface 2231 of the third support 223, and the conductive terminals 251 are disposed on the mode circuit board 2522. The second bracket 222 is coupled to the first bracket 221 and forms a second mounting cavity 2221 for mounting the third bracket 223, the conductive terminals 251 and the mode circuit board 2522. The second bracket 222 is further provided with a first through hole 2222 for electrically connecting the adjusting member 70 and the conductive terminal 251. Specifically, the conductive terminal 251 is exposed out of the second mounting cavity 2221 of the second bracket 222 through the first through hole 2222, the knob 30 is provided with a second through hole 34, the adjusting member 70 is provided with a first protrusion 71, and the second protrusion 71 is in contact with the conductive terminal 251 through the second through hole 34. When the adjusting member 70 rotates with the knob 30, the second protrusions 71 contact different conductive terminals 251 to provide different electrical signals to the control assembly or communicate different circuits, so as to control the motor 24 to drive the brush head 200 to move in different cleaning modes. The connection head 21 is formed on the second bracket 222.

In a preferred embodiment, the motor bracket 224 is coupled to the first bracket 221 to secure the motor 24 to the mounting bracket 22. Specifically, the first bracket 221 is provided with two mounting holes 2211, the motor bracket 224 is correspondingly provided with two second protrusions 2241, and the mounting holes 2211 and the second protrusions 2241 are matched with each other to connect the motor bracket 224 to the first bracket 221. The second protrusions 2241 are rotatable within the mounting holes 2211 so that the motor support 224 can rotate about an axis passing between the second protrusions 2241, thereby rotating the motor 24 within the interior of the mounting support 22. The motor 24 is provided with a conductor 241, the control component 25 comprises a conductive part 253 arranged on the mounting bracket 22, and the motor 24 can move relative to the mounting bracket 22 to enable the conductor 241 and the conductive part 253 to have a connection state and a separation state. When the pressure applied to the toothbrush head 200 is too high, the motor 24 moves away from the conductive portion 253 to separate the conductor 241 from the conductive portion 253 and provide a corresponding electrical signal to the control assembly 25, and the control assembly 25 receives the electrical signal and controls the electric toothbrush to give a corresponding prompt to the user, wherein the prompt may be one or more of an indicator light, a sound, and a motor vibration, so as to remind the user to reduce the force when the excessive pressure is applied to the teeth to protect the teeth. The electric toothbrush further includes an elastic member 225 for providing elastic stress urging the conductor 241 to the conductive portion 253.

The electric toothbrush further includes a charging assembly 90 for charging the cartridge 20. The knob 30 can be used to switch the cleaning mode of the electric toothbrush and also to turn the electric toothbrush on/off at the same time. Or knob 30 is used only to switch the cleaning mode of the electric toothbrush which also includes a button 12 for turning the electric toothbrush on/off.

The technical scheme of the invention is that the electric toothbrush with the detachable knob 30 is provided, one end of the electric toothbrush is connected to the shell 10, the other end of the electric toothbrush is connected to the top cover 40 and sleeved on the knob 30 on the movement 20, the axial movement of the knob 30 is limited by the matching of the top cover 40 and the movement 20, the top cover 40 is detachably connected with the movement 20, and when the top cover 40 is detached from the handle 100, the knob 30 can be taken out of the handle 100 for cleaning, so that the overall cleanness of the handle 100 is kept, and the user experience is improved. In addition, the knob 30 is rotated to drive the adjusting part 70 to move relative to the control assembly 25 to switch the modes, the knob 30 can rotate in the forward direction or in the reverse direction, and a user can switch to the previous selected cleaning mode or the next selected cleaning mode at any time, so that the flexibility of mode selection is improved; the knob 30 has a large volume and is arranged around the movement 20, so that a user can conveniently switch a proper cleaning mode according to different cleaning parts when the brush head 200 is positioned in the oral cavity; the knob 30 is formed as a part of the outer appearance of the handle 100, and together with the housing 10, makes the outer appearance of the handle 100 more selective and more aesthetic. The present electric toothbrush is further provided with a pressure prompting device composed of a conductor 241 and a conductive part 253 to give a prompt to the user when excessive pressure is applied to the teeth, reminding the user to reduce strength to protect the teeth.
