The 2-methoxy-4-methylphenol has low-concentration promotion and high-concentration inhibition effects on rice seeds, and can be used as a novel seed initiator component in the fields of agriculture, forestry, gardening and the like.

The embodiment provides an application method of an active ingredient seed treatment agent for promoting rice germination and emergence, which comprises the following steps:
