The liquefied degradable components are then separated from the non-degradable solids to produce a biological fluid comprising a large percentage of dissolved solids, the majority of which comprises some combination of acetate, ethanol, butyrate, lactate, formate, or propionate. The biological fluid itself is a novel biomethane substrate composition which allows for very rapid conversion to biomethane. Further provided are methods of producing biomethane using the biological fluid and employing other biomethane substrate compositions produced by simultaneous enzymatic hydrolysis and microbial fermentation of organic material.)
