Technical Field

The invention relates to a drawer having a device for fixing a movable rail of a pull-out guide to the drawer, the drawer having a support arranged on a side panel, on which support a U-shaped holder is arranged, wherein the movable rail can be inserted into the U-shaped holder via a front end section, and the movable rail can be locked on the support and/or on the holder via at least one catch which engages through at least one opening on the movable rail, wherein the drawer has a front panel; and to a method for mounting a drawer on a movable rail of a pull-out guide.

Background

WO 2012/068594 discloses a coupling device for fixing a drawer on an extendable rail of a pull-out guide. The guide rail is secured to a latch portion having a flexible spring tongue to hold the guide rail in a locked position. To release the latch connection, the latch portion may be disengaged from the rail via the handle portion. The bendable spring tongues are reinforced via reinforcing ribs to limit the flexibility. However, in such parts made of plastic, a flow of plastic material may occur, so that the holding force of the connection may be reduced.

Disclosure of Invention

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a drawer with means for fixing the movable rail of the pull-out guide to the drawer, which also ensures a long-term safe and stable connection between the rail and the drawer, and a method for mounting a drawer.

This object is achieved by a drawer having the features of claim 1 and a method having the features of claim 12.

The drawer according to the invention comprises a device for fixing the movable rail of the pull-out guide, said device having a U-shaped holder into which the ends of the rail can be inserted for locking on at least one catch. The holder is supported on the front plate indirectly or directly on the support surface so that bending loads can be supported on the holder, which increases the strength and dimensional stability of the holder. This enables the guide rail to be stably fixed in the U-shaped holder even for a long time.

Preferably, the U-shaped holder has a bendable arm on which a support surface is formed on the side facing the front plate. The U-shaped holder may have a slotted receptacle, wherein the support surface is arranged offset perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the slotted receptacle, such that a force on the support surface results in a pivoting movement on the bendable arm. The bendable arm can thus be pretensioned towards the slotted receptacle by a force on the support surface. The movable rail is located in the slotted receptacle in the mounted position, ensuring improved fixing of the rail in the holder.

Here, the bendable arm can be pressed in clamping manner against the movable rail in the mounting position, so as to be pressed into the mounting position via the support surface with a certain pretension. The support surface need not bear directly against the front plate but may also be in indirect contact with the front plate to interconnect with one or more other components. In any case, the support is achieved via a component that is firmly connected to the front plate. Here, the front plate can be pretensioned towards the holder via at least one spring. Such a spring can be provided, for example, in a side plate of the device for fixing the front plate, by means of which the front plate is pretensioned towards the side plate. The front plate can then be pressed against the support surface in order to act on the holder, in particular on the bendable arms of the holder.

According to a first variant, the catch for locking the movable rail may be formed integrally with the support, preferably on the bendable web. The catch may be manufactured by forming a protrusion which engages in an opening on the rail for locking. Alternatively or additionally, the catch may be arranged on a separate pivotably mounted lever which is pretensioned in the locking position via a spring. For example, such a lever can be rotatably mounted on the holder.

The U-shaped holder has a surface on which a support surface is formed, on a side facing the front plate with respect to the mounting position. The support surface protrudes from the holder towards the front side and can be subjected to pressure by the front plate or a component connected to the front plate to pretension the holder, in particular the bendable arms on the holder. Here, the U-shaped holder with the bendable arms can be manufactured as a moulded part, which is made of plastic. The support is preferably made of a bent metal plate, to which the holder is fixed.

If the rail has two openings offset in the longitudinal direction for locking the rail on the catch, different mounting positions can be provided, depending on how the drawer is configured on the front plate and which fixing forces the connection needs to withstand. The arrangement of two openings offset in the longitudinal direction also makes it possible to pre-mount the drawer on the rail and then fix the drawer in the final mounting position on the movable rail in a second mounting step.

In the method according to the invention, the drawer is placed on two movable rails of two pull-out guides and is then moved along the movable rails, wherein a front end portion of each of the rails is inserted into a U-shaped holder on which the bendable arms are spread. Then, by further displacement of the drawer, the movable rail is locked on the movable rail, wherein the support surface of the holder is indirectly or directly supported on the front plate and the bendable arm on the holder is pretensioned towards the movable rail. Thus, an optimization of the support of the holder and the connection between the drawer and the rail can be achieved during the installation process.

Detailed Description

The drawer 1 comprises two side panels 2 and a front panel 3. As shown in fig. 2, a bottom plate 4 is located between the side plates 2, and a movable rail of the pull-out guide may be fixed to the bottom plate.

As can be seen from the detailed view in fig. 3, the holder 6 fixed to the support 5 is located below the base plate 4. The support 5 may be made of a bent metal plate and integrally comprise a catch 8 formed as a projection or embossing and connected to the support 5 via a bendable web. A slot 9 is provided for this purpose, so that the bendable web 7 arranged in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail of the pull-out guide is flexible.

In fig. 4, the side panel 2 is shown without a cover, so the means 10 for fixing the front panel 3 are visible. The device 10 comprises two connecting portions 11 which can be fixed to a support 12 of the front plate 3. The front plate 3 is locked via the connecting portion 11 and the support 12 and is pretensioned towards the side plate 2 via the spring 13. Here, the front panel 3 is pressed against the side panel 2 in an upper region and pretensioned towards a support surface 14 on the holder 6 in a lower region. It can also be provided that the front panel 3 is fixed to the side panel 2 only via one or more than two connecting portions 11.

Fig. 5 and 6 show a bottom view of the drawer, wherein the holder 6 is shown below the bottom plate 4. The holder 6 comprises a slotted receptacle 15 which extends parallel to the longitudinal direction of the guide rail of the pull-out guide and is surrounded by the U-shaped holder 6. A flexible arm 16 formed integrally with the holder 6 is provided on the slotted receptacle 15. A support surface 14, which is pressed against the front plate 3, is formed on the bendable arm 16 on the side facing the front plate 3. It is also possible to provide other components between the support surface 14 and the front plate 3, so that the support of the front plate 3 by the support surface 14 is only indirectly via the other components.

The catch 8 arranged on the bendable web 7 of the support 5 is provided on a slotted receptacle 15 on the side opposite the bendable arm 16. The catch 8 is arranged in the tip area of the bendable arm 16.

Fig. 7 and 8 show the mounting of the movable rail 20 of the pull-out guide. The movable rail 20 comprises two openings 21 and 22, which are arranged offset in the longitudinal direction of the rail. Fig. 7 and 8 show an intermediate position during installation, in which the catch 8 is not locked in either of the two openings 21 and 22. In this position, the bendable web 7 is deflected at the catch 8, which protrudes as a protrusion relative to the rail 20. Thus, the guide rail 20 is pressed against the bendable arm 16, which is made of plastic and is deformable. To avoid this, the bendable arm 16 is supported on the front plate 3 via the support surface 14, wherein the bendable arm 16 has a plurality of support ribs 60 which extend substantially perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 20. The support surface 14 is arranged offset in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the rail 20, for example by 4 to 40mm, with respect to the end of the rail 20.

Fig. 9 and 10 show a device for fixing the movable rail 20 of the pull-out guide, wherein the rail 20 is not shown. It can be seen that the catch 8 can pivot on the bendable web 7 and that the end portion of the guide rail 20 can be inserted into the slotted receptacle 15. In the mounted position, the lock catch 8 can be locked in one of the two openings 21 or 22.

In fig. 11, the arm 16 is shown in the installed position. During installation, forces may act on the arm 16, which forces are generated, for example, during the locking of the rail 20 to the catch 8, in particular if the catch 8 is not yet fully locked to the opening. Then, a force is exerted on the arm 16 via the guide rail 20, the arm pivoting clockwise in fig. 11. The slotted receptacle 15 is thus slightly spread apart.

In fig. 12, the rail 20 is then locked to the catch 8. Due to the front plate 3, a force F acts on the support surface 14, for example via a spring 13, by means of which the front plate 3 is pretensioned towards the side plate 2. Thus, as shown by force F in fig. 12, the bendable arm 16 is pre-tensioned towards the slotted receptacle 15. As shown by a comparison of fig. 11 and 12, the bendable lever 16 thus pivots counterclockwise. Thus, the contact surfaces of the slotted receptacle 15 that are opposite each other are aligned substantially parallel.

In fig. 13, the holder 6 is shown with a slotted receptacle 15, wherein the support 5 and the movable rail 20 are absent. The holder 6 is made as a moulding from plastic and can be inserted with the strip-shaped part 61 into the side plate 2 and into a receptacle on the support 5. The bendable arms 16 supported on the support surface 14 on the side facing the front plate 3 are formed integrally with the strip-shaped portion 61.

In fig. 14A to 14D, mounting of the movable rail 20 of the pull-out guide on the U-shaped holder 6 is schematically shown.

In fig. 14A, the guide rail 20 is arranged in front of the bendable arm 16 of the holder 6, and a wall portion of the guide rail 20 presses against the catch 8, which is pivoted via the bendable web 7. If the rail 20 is displaced further along the holder 6, the end portion reaches into the slotted receptacle 15 of the U-shaped holder 6, as shown in fig. 14B. In addition, the lock catch 8 is locked to the opening 22 of the rail 20. In this locked position, the guide rail 20 is pre-mounted on the U-shaped holder 6. This position may be used for transport purposes, for example.

When the rail 20 is further inserted into the slotted receptacle 15 of the holder 6, the position is as shown in fig. 14C. Due to the contact with the entrance ramp on the catch 8, said catch is again deflected and pressed against the wall portion of the rail 20, as indicated by the arrow. The guide rail 20 is pressed against the bendable arm 16 in this position, as indicated by the second arrow. The flexible arms 16 are supported by a support surface 14 which is pressed against the front plate 3.

The guide rail 20 can now be inserted further into the holder 6 until the catch 8 locks onto the second opening 21. Thus, the catch 8 is no longer pressed against the guide rail 20 and the bendable arm 16 can be pivoted backwards, wherein the pivoting movement is supported on the support surface 14 by the force from the front plate 3.

In the mounting sequence of fig. 14A to 14D, the latch 8 is integrally formed with the support 5 made of bent metal plate. A latch 8 'may also be provided on a pivotable lever 7' which is rotatably mounted on the bearing 70. The lever 7' can be rotatably mounted on the holder 6 or the support 5. Fig. 15A to 15D show the installation of the modified device for fixing the guide rail 20.

In fig. 15A, the guide rail 20 is arranged adjacent to the bendable arm 16 and presses the catch 8 'against the pivotable lever 7' against the force of the spring 71. If the rail 20 is now inserted further into the slotted receptacle 15 on the holder 6, as shown in fig. 15B, the latch 8' locks onto the first opening 22 of the rail 20. Thus, the lever 7' pivots about the bearing 70 due to the force of the spring 71. This location may be used as a transport location.

In fig. 15C, a further mounting of the rail 20 is made, the rail being moved in the direction of the front plate 3, whereby the lever 7' is rotated against the force of the spring 71. In this position, the spring 71 presses against the wall portion of the guide rail 20, pressing on the bendable arm 16, which may deform it. Here, the bendable arms 16 are supported by the support surface 14, which is pressed against the front plate 3.

In fig. 15D, the mounting position of the rail 20 is shown, wherein the catch 8' is locked in the second opening 21. Thus, the lever 7' is pivoted again by the force of the spring 71 and the bendable arm 16 is pivoted towards the slotted receptacle 15, wherein this movement is assisted by the front plate 3 and the support surface 14. Here, the bendable arm 16 can be pressed in a clamping manner against the guide rail 20.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the guide rail 20 comprises two openings 21 and 22 for the locking catch 8 or 8'. Of course, only one opening or more than two openings 21 and 22 may be provided.

The support surface 14 on the holder 6 is directly supported on the front plate 3. Of course, other components may also be provided between the front plate 3 and the support surface 14.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the arm 16 is formed integrally with the holder 6. It is of course also possible to manufacture the arm 16 separately and to mount it rotatably on the holder 6 via a shaft.
