Background

The fuse is one of protection devices commonly used in the electrical field, and the general fuse utilizes the thermal effect principle of conductor through-flow, when larger fault current occurs, the thermal effect melts the conductor inside the fuse to form an open circuit, so as to obtain the fault isolation effect.

The existing direct current fuse which simply utilizes the heat effect to fuse the melt in the fuse quickly has the defect of overlong action time.

Disclosure of Invention

The present invention is directed to provide a novel fast dc fuse, which utilizes the thermal effect and electromagnetic effect of short-circuit current to accelerate the fuse operation.

The present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples.

Referring to fig. 1, the invention discloses a novel fast dc fuse, comprising a housing 6, a filler 5 arranged in the housing 6, and a positive electrode pair and a negative electrode pair led out from the housing 6, wherein the filler 5 plays roles of arc extinction, heat dissipation and the like, the positive electrode pair consists of a first positive electrode 1 and a second positive electrode 3 which are oppositely arranged, the negative electrode pair consists of a first negative electrode 2 and a second negative electrode 4 which are oppositely arranged, the two electrode pairs are arranged in parallel, the first positive electrode 1 and the first negative electrode 2 are arranged on one side of the housing 6, the second positive electrode 3 and the second negative electrode 4 are arranged on one side of the housing and are respectively conducted with a positive current and a negative current, an isolation insulation sheet 8 is arranged between the positive electrode pair and the negative electrode, wherein the isolation insulation sheet 8 is a mica sheet which plays a role of arc extinction and insulation and is connected with the positive and negative, the electrode joint 9 is connected with a conductive connecting sheet, as shown in fig. 2, the conductive connecting sheet is formed by connecting a plurality of conductive sheets 7 end to end in a melt bonding mode, the weak connection part of the melt bonding part generates heat and is easy to melt or vaporize after the fuse has a current exceeding the rated current, and the higher the current is, the faster the fuse is; as shown in fig. 3, the conductive plate 7 has teeth at both ends.

The direct current fuse accelerates the action of the fuse by using the thermal effect and the electromagnetic effect of the short-circuit current: two pairs of electrodes respectively conduct positive current and negative current, when the fuse rear stage takes place positive and negative interelectrode short circuit, short circuit current will form the return circuit through inside two electrode branch roads of fuse and short circuit point, short circuit current makes junction conductor between conducting strip 7 generate heat fusing on the one hand, on the other hand, when short circuit current flows through two branch roads, will produce the electromagnetic force that becomes tangential direction with conducting strip 7, weak junction between conducting strip 7 is cut off, by two factor combined action, reach the purpose that makes the quick fusing of fuse.

Furthermore, two ends of the isolation insulation sheet 8 are respectively connected with the shell 6 through a tower 10, and a tower structure is arranged between the two poles in the fuse, so that the creepage distance between the positive and negative pole plates is increased, and the insulativity is improved.

The novel direct current fuse not only utilizes the thermal effect to fuse the melt in the fuse quickly, but also utilizes the electromagnetic force of current to accelerate the fracture of the conductor and the current column, thereby shortening the action time of the fuse.

Referring to fig. 4, when a short-circuit fault occurs between the positive and negative bus bars in the subsequent stage of the fuse, the short-circuit current Isc flow path is positive bus bar-fuse positive pole loop-short circuit point-fuse negative pole loop-negative bus bar. Firstly, Isc heats and melts or vaporizes a melt to form an electrical open circuit; secondly, because of the electromagnetic effect of the Isc, a tangential electromagnetic force Fem is generated in the diagram direction, and under the action of the force, the melt and a flow column generated by the melt are more easily cut off, and are accelerated to form an open circuit, so that the aim of quick fusing is fulfilled.
