Background

The PROTOS-M5 cigarette making machine and the PROTOS-M8 cigarette making machine are composed of VE (cut tobacco forming machine), SE (tobacco rod forming machine) and MAX (filter tip assembler). In the filter tip installation, the tipping paper is used for wrapping up the filter tip and tipping the filter rod to the cigarette strip end, however in the tipping production process, because the material atress is uneven, the position does not coincide completely between the book, causes the phenomenon that the position skew appears in the tipping paper at the concatenation in-process, the tipping paper of skew will receive the lateral force that one side dog was applyed when passing through positioner, very easily causes the emergence of tipping paper hem, finally leads to the filter tip to have quality defect, and then influences the subsequent handling of cigarette.

Aiming at the problems in the prior art, the invention provides the tipping paper folding edge detection device and method for the ultra-high-speed cigarette making machine, which can effectively prevent cigarettes from being mistakenly rejected due to the phenomena of integral deviation of tipping paper and the like, thereby accurately detecting the folding edge of the tipping paper, ensuring the production yield of the cigarettes and reducing the production cost of enterprises.

the data processing device is arranged in an electric cabinet of the filter tip attachment machine and is electrically connected with an operation signal sending port, an alarm shutdown receiving port and a rubbing drum rejecting mechanism of the ultra-high-speed cigarette making machine control system through a first photoelectric coupler, a second photoelectric coupler and a third photoelectric coupler respectively; the data processing device is used for receiving a real-time tipping paper width value fed back by the laser width measuring sensor and an operation signal fed back by the operation signal sending port, transmitting the real-time tipping paper width value and the operation signal to the operation display unit for real-time display, comparing the real-time tipping paper width value with a stored tipping paper folding edge rejection threshold value, starting to receive a pulse signal fed back by the rotary encoder according to a comparison result, further sending a control signal to enable the rubbing and receiving drum rejection mechanism to carry out rejection operation on cigarettes, and sending a signal to the alarm shutdown receiving port.

Compared with the prior optical fiber sensor edge detection technology, the invention adopts a mode of combining a laser width measuring sensor, a rotary encoder, a data processing device and an operation display unit, firstly sets a rejection threshold value, then collects the width value of the tipping paper through the laser width measuring sensor, compares the width value with the rejection threshold value, if the width value does not exceed the rejection threshold value, the tipping paper at the current tipping paper width detection point position is flanged, then determines that the tipping paper with the flanged side reaches a twisting and connecting drum rejection mechanism according to the mode of counting by the rotary encoder, and controls the twisting and connecting drum rejection mechanism to reject cigarettes made of the tipping paper with the flanged side, thereby ensuring the subsequent procedures of the cigarettes; if the rubbing and splicing drum removing mechanism continues removing for more than 5 seconds once, the length of the folded edge of the tipping paper is longer, and at the moment, the ultrahigh-speed cigarette making machine control system receives a signal sent by the data processing device, so that the equipment is stopped, and fault information is displayed through the operation display unit.
