气浮导轨的内阻极小且移动灵活,很适合用来进行微位移和微力等数值的测量。传统的供气方法是通过通气管连接滑块供气,这样很容易引入因气管弹塑性而产生的约束力,在不安装外部驱动电机的情况下滑块位置会受气管弹塑性影响,另有一些气浮导轨使用气瓶供气来避免滑块连接通气管,但因其供气时间有限,所以气浮效果打折。
