Technical Field

As expressed in the title of this specification, the invention belongs to the field of machinery. Particularly in the field of backpacks. Particularly for backpacks having an inflatable element that can be used both as a head rest and a child seat, with a harness attached to the backpack harness to hold the child's feet.

Background

Technological developments over the years have made travel and/or movement more and more comfortable by designing backpacks and equipment that facilitate the handling and transfer of personal items.

Under this premise, different tools and devices have been designed to improve the comfort of transportation and movement, and the following documents are indicated to be the most interesting ones in this respect.

Document PCT/US2016/045404 discloses a child carrier and support device for securing a child in a seated position on top of a user's shoulders, which device is adapted to be used in conjunction with a conventional backpack.

Document US20160331161 discloses a cushion designed for a person to rest in his/her office or desk by placing his/her face in a hole of the device.

Document CN 105640182 describes a support cushion structure for a user to sleep or perform sedentary activities, facing downwards towards the cushion structure with the user's hands and arms placed under his/her face.

Document CN203841279 relates to a backpack with additional support means for the head and neck. The backpack includes a backpack body, a vertically positioned bracket disposed in the center of the inner back of the backpack body, and a chin cup that mates with a support member disposed on the backpack body, the chin cup being located at the top of the support frame.

Document US5645319A discloses an inflatable pillow in which passengers sitting in a row of seats facing forward in an airplane or bus can bend forward, rest their heads and relax. Once inflated, the shape of the pillow is predetermined to substantially occupy the space in front of the occupant.

Document US20040064893a1 relates to an inflatable resting device comprising at least one air chamber having a substantially bell shape. An arm support structure is provided along the sides of the resting device to support the user's arms in a comfortable resting position.

Document US8984688B1 discloses an inflatable resting pillow comprising two inflatable compartments, a lower compartment providing a base for supporting a connected upper compartment; both compartments can be inflated separately.

However, despite the different solutions proposed, the problem of incorporating all these accessories in a single product to increase travel comfort has not been solved. In most cases, knee pads that appear as pillows or just inflatable extensions; with either of the above options, there remains a need to provide a backpack or container to rest in an optimal manner while securing the occupant's belongings. Thus, by means of the present description, a new solution is proposed to solve this problem in a simple and effective way.

Disclosure of Invention

The invention comprises a backpack with a harness comprising an inflatable element at the top, a fastening harness attached to the harness, a cushion on the backrest, an internal rigid core and a resting element at its front.

The backpack comprises a luggage element (1), which luggage element (1) can be placed on the back and front of the torso, which the user can adjust by means of two straps passing through his/her shoulders, each strap comprising a main strap (2a, 2b) attached at the top of the luggage element (1), a strap (2c, 2d) attached at the bottom of the luggage element (1), wherein the main strap and the strap are connected by an adjusting element (2e, 2f) attached on the main strap, and the strap is inserted into the adjusting element to adjust its extension.

In the top of the backpack, there is an inflatable element (3a), which inflatable element (3a) is preferably attached by a flange, which flange top has a thread pattern sewn onto the structure of the luggage element (1). For filling with air, the inflatable element has nozzles to perform manual or automatic inflation, i.e. the air is introduced by mechanical or manual means, such as a manual or electric pump, and other means independent of the backpack structure. The inflatable element (3a) has two main uses: it serves as a support in which the user can rest and/or support the head, and also as a seat whenever the user decides to place and sit a person (e.g. an infant) on his/her shoulders.

For holding the legs of a person fitted over the shoulders of a user of the backpack, it comprises at least one pair of safety belts (4a, 4b), similar to clips, connected to the carrying straps (2a, 2b) of the backpack. Each safety belt is closed in a circular manner and its extension is adjusted using locks (5a, 5b) with varying configurations, as will be apparent to the skilled person.

In addition, the backpack further comprises at least one pair of fasteners (6a, 6b) at the back side between the straps (2a, 2 b). It is obvious to the person skilled in the art that each of said fasteners comprises two straps extending horizontally in a section from one strap to the other, so that the two straps engage each other by means of differently configured locks (7a, 7 b). The main purpose of these fasteners (6a, 6b) is to provide safety for an infant sitting on the user's shoulder when the user places the backpack on his/her back, and to secure the infant by means of safety straps (4a, 4b) attached to the harness (2a, 2 b). The fasteners (6a, 6b) limit the mobility of the harness (2a, 2b) so that there is no problem when the baby is held on the inflatable element (3 a). For example, the straps may move away from their position on the user's shoulders and separate from each other, which can cause the infant to fall off due to the improper position of the backpack; in this case, the harness maintains the position of the harness over the user's shoulders. Furthermore, the fasteners (6a, 6b) distribute the stress exerted by the weight of the backpack and/or infant, avoiding excessive loads on the user's shoulders.

On the surface of the back face of the luggage element (1), generally corresponding to the backrest and evenly distributed, the backpack has a plurality of pads and/or padded elements (8) which, depending on the way the backpack is placed, can provide rest and comfort for the user's back and torso. The cushion (8) has a soft surface and is filled with a filler material to form a cushion distributed over the back surface of the backpack.

In order to maintain the shape of the backpack, the backpack further comprises a rigid core (9a) coupled therein on the inner wall of the backrest. The core in turn comprises a concave structure which is substantially rectangular in shape with rounded edges and is made of a light material which is sufficiently stiff to keep the backpack upright. In this way, the backpack can be held upright and provide additional support for the user in different use situations (such as, but not limited to) when holding a load: when carrying very heavy loads within the luggage element (1), when placing an infant on the shoulder and adjusting the harness (4a, 4b), and even when the user places the backpack in front of his/her torso and rests his/her head on an inflatable element (3a) that passes through a hole or slot (9b) formed on top of the core (9a) to use the backpack as a resting accessory.

In addition, a resting structure (10) is provided at the front of the device for supporting the arms in a comfortable resting position, comprising a sleeve-type or bag-type horizontal tubular structure open at both ends, into which the user can insert his/her arms.

Detailed Description

In order to carry out the stage of manufacturing the backpack and its accessories, it is preferable to take into account certain factors, for example when fixing the baby to the backpack.

Including but not limited to the following considerations that have been used to achieve the results set forth in the present invention. It should be clear that the inclusion of the following information does not limit the modification of the features included or not included in the present description, and any modification and/or combination of one or more of the described features must be considered as an embodiment of the present invention. Likewise, combinations of one or more of the following preferred embodiments should be considered within the scope of the invention disclosed herein.

In a first preferred embodiment of the invention, the purpose of the backpack is to be able to carry items and/or elements therein. The luggage element (1a) therefore comprises a closing element (1b), the closing element (1b) preferably surrounding the structure of the luggage element, the closing element (1b) starting from one side, passing through the top and ending at the opposite side, wherein the closing element allows to fix the contents inside said luggage element (1 a). Usually, the backpack is placed on the back supported by two straps (2a, 2b) that pass through the shoulders.

In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the adjustment element (2e, 2f) comprises a buckle, into which the strap (2c, 2d) is inserted and is tied to the main harness (2a, 2 b). The buckle is preferably secured to the main harness by a strap with a sewn thread pattern to increase the strength of the strap.

In another preferred embodiment of the invention, where the user wants to rest, the backpack is usually placed in front of the user's torso and has an inflatable element (3a) for allowing the user to rest his/her head. The element is inflated by means of a nozzle located on the surface of the inflatable element (3a) and communicating with the interior, to which a valve, pump or user's mouth can be connected in order to inflate it. In order to use the backpack in this way, the user must place the torso in an upright position so that, once the inflatable element (3a) is inflated, the user can tilt his head on it. According to this embodiment, the user can also rest his/her arms: once the backpack is placed in front of the torso, the user can place his/her arms in the resting structure (10) in front of him. All these aims are to enable the user to obtain maximum comfort and to have a rest safely.

In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the resting structure (10) is included in the structure of the outer bag (1c) of the luggage element (1a) located at the front of the backpack. The outer bag comprises a hollow structure connected to the front of the luggage element and a closure element (1d) for protecting small items, such as a zipper. At the bottom of the outer bag (1c) is a resting structure (10), that is to say a sleeve comprising the resting structure (10) traverses the outer bag from one side to the other, forming a tubular structure into which the user can insert his/her arms.

In another preferred embodiment of the invention, when the inflatable element (3a) is not in use, it is stored in a pocket with a closing element (3c), for example an element of the "zip" type, to facilitate deployment and protection of said inflatable element.

In another preferred embodiment of the invention, which uses the backpack as a baby carrier, the backpack works as follows: the inflatable element (3a) is deployed and inflated and the user places the backpack on his/her back. The inflatable element (3a) is used as a seat for an infant, with a child sitting on said inflatable element, on the shoulder of the backpack user (fig. 1) (fig. 2). The backpack also provides a pair of safety straps (4a, 4b) that are removable from the carrying straps (2a, 2b) that encircle and secure the legs and/or ankles of a seated infant. In order to allow the coupling and removal of the safety belts (4a, 4b) to the backpack, each harness has, over its entire width, a cross-section from one side to the other, which produces a pair of grooves (4c, 4d) in which the safety belts (4a, 4b) are inserted and fixed. The cross-section is produced in such a way that it is not visible when the safety belt is not attached; and is only visible when both sides of the strap are bent and separated to form the grooves (4c, 4 d).

In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the lock (5a, 5b, 7a, 7b) is a two-part lock or clasp, each part being connected to one end of a harness or fastener to which it is attached. Two-part locks generally comprise a male part which is inserted and fixed to its female counterpart by mechanical pressure exerted by the material from which they are made. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the configuration of the lock is variable and does not limit the scope of the invention, wherein the configuration may include any or different of the following: fastener elements, velcro elements, zippers, and the like.

Although the invention has been described with reference to certain preferred embodiments thereof, this is not intended to limit the use of backpacks with other types of articles or devices to enhance user comfort. Furthermore, it will be apparent that various forms, modifications and/or alterations may be made without departing from the spirit and scope as defined in the appended claims.
