1. A guard for a power tool, comprising:

the fixing seat is combined with the electric tool and is provided with a cylinder part and a stop surface, and an output shaft of the electric tool passes through the cylinder part; the resisting surface is positioned on the periphery of the cylinder part;

the limiting ring is sleeved on the cylinder part and can move along the axial direction of the cylinder part, the limiting ring is provided with a first end and a second end which are opposite, the first end faces the resisting surface of the fixed seat, the first end is provided with a stopping part, and the second end is provided with a plurality of first convex parts and a plurality of first concave parts which are annularly arranged and are spaced;

the springs are arranged between the resisting surface of the fixed seat and the first end;

the protecting cover is rotatably arranged on the fixed seat, and the limiting ring is positioned between the protecting cover and the resisting surface of the fixed seat; the protecting cover is provided with a baffle ring, the baffle ring is provided with a plurality of second convex parts and a plurality of second concave parts which are annularly arranged and are spaced, each second convex part extends into each first concave part, and each first convex part extends into each second concave part;

The guard of claim 1, wherein the limit ring has a through hole and a groove, the through hole is disposed in the cylindrical portion of the holder, the groove forms an open end at the first end, and the stopper is disposed radially outward of the open end of the limit ring; the stop piece is provided with an extending part which extends into the groove and can move along the radial direction; when the stopping part is at the second position, the stopping part is positioned in the orthographic projection range of the groove.

3. The guard of claim 2, including a return spring disposed in the recess and abutting the extension of the stop member.

4. The protection device for electric tool of claim 2, wherein the recess is recessed from the wall of the through hole along the radial direction, and one end of the return spring abuts against the extension portion and the other end abuts against the barrel portion of the fixing base.

5. The guard of claim 4, wherein the barrel portion has a receiving slot corresponding to the recess, and the other end of the return spring abuts against a slot surface of the receiving slot.

6. The guard of claim 5, wherein the extension of the stop member has a protrusion, and the return spring is disposed at one end of the return spring in a manner to fit over the protrusion.

7. The guard of claim 1, wherein the retaining base has an outer annular surface with a groove, the retaining ring has a plurality of retaining clips, and the retaining clips are disposed in the groove.

8. The guard of claim 7, wherein the annular groove has two open ends, and the plurality of latches enter the annular groove from the two open ends, respectively.

9. The guard of claim 7, wherein the retaining base includes a first retaining member and a second retaining member, the first retaining member having the stop surface, the second retaining member being coupled to the first retaining member, and the second retaining member having the barrel portion and the annular groove.

10. The guard of claim 1, wherein the restrictor ring has at least one detent having two ends that communicate between the first end and the second end; the barrel portion has at least one locating piece, and the at least one locating piece is located in the at least one constant head tank.

11. The guard of claim 1, wherein each of the first protrusions has a first inclined surface on two opposite sides thereof, and each of the second protrusions has a second inclined surface on two opposite sides thereof, and each of the first inclined surfaces faces each of the second inclined surfaces.

12. The guard of claim 1, wherein the first end of the restrictor ring has a plurality of recesses, one end of each spring being positioned in each recess.

Technical Field

The present invention relates to power tools; in particular to a protective device of an electric tool, and the angle of the protective cover can be adjusted.

Background

The existing electric tool is provided with an output shaft, the output shaft is connected with a tool head, the output shaft can drive the tool head to rotate, and a user can utilize the tool head to process a workpiece. Taking a hand-held grinder as an example, the tool head is a grinding wheel, and a user can grind a workpiece by holding the body of the grinder and contacting the workpiece with the grinding wheel rotating at a high speed. However, when the grinding wheel contacts the workpiece, material from the workpiece surface is carried away by the grinding wheel, causing the waste to be ejected at high velocity in the form of dust, particles or sparks.

In order to avoid the waste from being sprayed everywhere, the existing electric tools are additionally provided with protective covers to block the waste, thereby avoiding the waste from being sprayed to cause the injury of users. However, the conventional protecting cover is fixedly installed on the electric tool, and a user cannot adjust the angle of the protecting cover at will, so that when the electric tool is used for processing a workpiece at certain angles, waste materials are likely to be sprayed onto the user.

Disclosure of Invention

Accordingly, the present invention is directed to a protection device for an electric tool, in which a user can adjust an angle of a protection cover according to a requirement.

The present invention provides a protection device for an electric tool, comprising a fixing base, a limiting ring, a plurality of springs, a protecting cover and a stopping member, wherein the fixing base is used for being combined with the electric tool and is provided with a cylinder part and a stopping surface, and the cylinder part is used for an output shaft of the electric tool to pass through; the resisting surface is positioned at the periphery of the cylinder part; the limiting ring is sleeved on the cylinder part and can move along the axial direction of the cylinder part, the limiting ring is provided with a first end and a second end which are opposite, the first end faces the resisting surface of the fixed seat, the first end is provided with a blocking part, and the second end is provided with a plurality of first convex parts and a plurality of first concave parts which are annularly arranged and are spaced; the springs are arranged between the resisting surface of the fixed seat and the first end; the protecting cover is rotatably arranged on the fixed seat, and the limiting ring is positioned between the protecting cover and the resisting surface of the fixed seat; the protecting cover is provided with a baffle ring, the baffle ring is provided with a plurality of second convex parts and a plurality of second concave parts which are arranged in an annular shape and are spaced, each second convex part extends into each first concave part, and each first convex part extends into each second concave part; the stopping member is arranged between the limiting ring and the fixing seat, the stopping member is provided with an operating part and a stopping part, the operating part is operated by a user to drive the stopping part to move between a first position and a second position, and when the stopping part is arranged at the first position, the stopping part is arranged between the blocking surface of the fixing seat and the stopping part at the first end of the limiting ring to limit the limiting ring to move towards the blocking surface of the fixing seat; when the protecting cover rotates, the second convex parts can leave the first concave parts to jack the limiting ring up towards the direction of the blocking surface of the fixed seat.

The invention has the advantages that when a user operates the operation part of the stopping piece to enable the stopping part to be positioned at the second position, the angle of the protecting cover can be adjusted by rotating the protecting cover, so that the electric tool is more convenient and safer to use.

Detailed Description

In order to more clearly illustrate the present invention, preferred embodiments are described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Referring to fig. 1 to 12, a protection device 1 of an electric tool according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention is shown, the protection device 1 is disposed on the electric tool (not shown) and is used for an output shaft of the electric tool to pass through, the output shaft of the electric tool is connected to a tool head, such as a grinding wheel 100, and the electric tool can be a hand-held grinder. The protection device 1 includes a fixing base 10, a limiting ring 26, a plurality of springs 36, a protecting cover 38 and a stopping member 46.

The fixing base 10 is for being combined with the electric tool and has a cylindrical portion 20 and a stopping surface 142, wherein the cylindrical portion 20 is for the output shaft of the electric tool to pass through. In this embodiment, the fixing base 10 includes a first base 12 and a second base 18, the first base 12 includes a combining plate 14 and an inner cylinder 16, the combining plate 14 is used for combining with the electric tool, the combining plate 14 has the resisting surface 142, the resisting surface is provided with two screw holes 144, and the inner cylinder 16 is used for the output shaft of the electric tool to pass through. The second seat 18 is locked into the two screw holes 144 by two bolts 24 and is combined with the first seat 12, the second seat 18 has the tube portion 20, and the tube portion 20 is sleeved outside the inner tube 16, so that the resisting surface 142 is located at the periphery of the tube portion 20 and the output shaft is located in the tube portion 20. The second seat 18 further has a flange 22 connected to the barrel portion 20, the flange 22 has an outer annular surface, the outer annular surface is provided with a ring groove 222, the ring groove 222 has two opening ends 222a, the two opening ends 222a face the direction away from the retaining surface 142 of the fixing seat 10, and the two opening ends 222a are located at two opposite sides of the ring groove 222. The outer peripheral surface of the barrel portion 20 has three positioning blocks 202, wherein two of the positioning blocks 202 have a through hole 202a for passing the corresponding bolt 24. The outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion 20 is recessed to form a receiving groove 204.

The limiting ring 26 has a through hole 26a sleeved on the barrel portion 20, the limiting ring 26 can move along the axial direction of the barrel portion 20, the limiting ring 26 has a first end 28 and a second end 30 opposite to each other, the first end 28 faces the retaining surface 142 of the fixing base 10, the first end 28 has a blocking portion 282, and the second end 30 has a plurality of first protrusions 302 and a plurality of first recesses 304 arranged in a ring shape and spaced apart from each other. Two opposite sides of each first protrusion 302 respectively have a first inclined surface 302 a. The first end 28 of the limiting ring 26 has a plurality of concave holes 284, and the concave holes 284 correspond to the stopping surface 142 of the fixing base 10.

The retainer ring 26 further has a groove 32, the groove 32 corresponds to the receiving groove 204 of the barrel portion 20, the groove 32 is recessed from the wall of the through hole 26a along a radial direction of the retainer ring 26, and the groove 32 forms an open end at the first end 28. The stopper 282 is located outside the open end in the radial direction of the confinement ring 26. The limit ring 26 further has three positioning slots 34, two ends of each positioning slot 34 communicate with the first end 28 and the second end 30, and the three positioning blocks 202 on the outer circumferential surface of the barrel portion 20 are respectively located in the three positioning slots 34 to limit the rotation of the limit ring 26. In practice, the number of the positioning slots of the limit ring 26 can be at least one, and the number of the positioning blocks 202 of the cylinder portion 20 of the fixing base 10 can be at least one, so as to achieve the purpose of limiting the rotation of the limit ring 26.

The plurality of springs 36 are disposed between the abutting surface 142 of the fixing base 10 and the first end 28 of the limiting ring 26, and more specifically, one end of each spring 36 is located in each concave hole 284 and abuts against an inner end of each concave hole 284.

The protecting cover 38 is rotatably disposed on the fixing base 10, and the limiting ring 26 is located between the protecting cover 38 and the retaining surface of the fixing base 10. More specifically, the protecting cover 38 includes a cover 40 and a retaining ring 42, the cover 40 is sleeved outside the grinding wheel 100, one end of the retaining ring 42 has a plurality of second protrusions 422 and a plurality of second recesses 424 arranged annularly and spaced apart from each other, and two opposite sides of each second protrusion 422 have a second inclined surface 422a respectively. The inner annular surface 42a of the retainer ring 42 is formed with a plurality of locking blocks 44 extending radially inward. When the retaining ring 42 is sleeved on the flange 22 of the second seat 18 of the fixing seat 10, the plurality of locking blocks 44 enter the annular groove 222 from the two open ends 222a respectively and can move along the annular groove 222, so that the protecting cover 38 can rotate relative to the fixing seat 10. Each second protrusion 422 of the retainer ring 42 extends into each first recess 304 of the retainer ring 26, and each first protrusion 302 of the retainer ring 26 extends into each second recess 424 of the retainer ring 42, and each first inclined surface 302a faces each second inclined surface 422 a.

The stopping member 46 is disposed between the limiting ring 26 and the fixing base 10, the stopping member 46 has an operating portion 462 and a stopping portion 464, the operating portion 462 is located outside the combining plate 14 of the fixing base 10 for a user to operate, so as to drive the stopping portion 464 to move between a first position P1 shown in fig. 7 and a second position P2 shown in fig. 9. In this embodiment, the stopper 46 further has an extending portion 466, and the extending portion 466 extends into the groove 32 of the limiting ring 26 and can be driven to move along the radial direction of the limiting ring 26.

A return spring 48 is disposed in the recess 32, and the return spring 48 abuts against the extending portion 466 of the stopping member 46 to provide a return force to keep the stopping portion 464 at the first position P1 in a normal state. More specifically, the extension part 466 of the stopper 46 has a protrusion 466a, one end of the return spring 48 is sleeved on the protrusion 466a and abuts against the extension part 466, and the other end abuts against the groove surface of the receiving groove 204 of the barrel part 20.

Referring to fig. 7, when the operating portion 462 of the stopping member 46 is not pressed, the stopping portion 464 is located at the first position P1, that is, between the stopping surface 142 of the fixing base 10 and the stopping portion 282 of the first end 28 of the limiting ring 26, at this time, when a user applies force to rotate the protecting cover 38, the limiting ring 26 is stopped by the stopping portion 282 and cannot move in the direction of the stopping surface 142 of the fixing base 10, and therefore, the angle of the protecting cover 38 cannot be changed.

Referring to fig. 9, when the user presses the operation portion 462 of the stopper 46 toward the cylindrical portion 20, the stopper 464 is driven to move to the second position P2, and at this time, the stopper 464 is separated from the position between the stopping surface 142 of the fixing base 10 and the stopping portion 282 of the limiting ring 26 and is located in the front projection range of the recess 32. Referring to fig. 10 and 11, when the user applies force to rotate the protective cover 38, one of the second inclined surfaces 422a of the second protrusions 422 of the retaining ring 42 of the protective cover 38 pushes against one of the first inclined surfaces 302a of the first protrusions 302 of the retaining ring 26, and each of the second protrusions 422 can leave each of the first recesses 304 to lift the retaining ring 26 in the direction of the retaining surface 142 of the fixing base 10. Thus, when the cover is rotated continuously, the angle of the cover 38 can be changed to adjust to the angle desired by the user (e.g., as shown in FIG. 12), and the springs 36 push the retainer ring 26 toward the cover 38, so that the first protrusions 302 enter the second recesses 424.

Then, after the user releases the operating portion 462 of the stopping member 46, the return spring 48 pushes the extending portion 466 of the stopping member 46 to move the stopping portion 464 to the first position P1 (refer to fig. 7), so as to further limit the angle of the protecting cover 38.

In one embodiment, the protection device 1 may not include the return spring 48, that is, the user may pull the operating portion 462 of the stopper 46 outward to move the stopper 464 to the second position P2.

Accordingly, the protection device 1 of the present invention can allow the user to adjust the angle of the protection cover 38 according to the requirement, so as to make the use of the electric tool more convenient and safe.
