Technical Field

The present invention relates to an agricultural mat for preventing diseases and pests and cultivating plants.

Background

Conventionally, various agricultural chemicals have been used for preventing diseases and pests of plants, particularly crops. Further, foliar application of fertilizers and the like is also performed in order to enhance resistance of crops to diseases and the like and to seek early recovery from diseases and the like.

Disclosure of Invention

However, since a large number of pests occur in a short period of time, it is necessary to frequently spread pesticides, and the like, which causes a problem of increasing costs. In addition, since there are pests and bacteria resistant to agricultural chemicals, it is also necessary to use various agricultural chemicals.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems of the conventional plant cultivation methods, and an object of the present invention is to provide an agricultural mat for cultivating plants while suppressing the cost required for preventing diseases and insect pests.

In order to achieve the above object, an agricultural mat according to the present invention includes: a base plate; a cover member covering the base plate; a hole provided through the cover member so as to communicate an internal space formed by the bottom plate and the cover member with the outside; a sulfur powder received in the interior space; and a mechanism for bringing the sulfur powder into contact with soil when the base plate is placed on the soil.

According to the present invention, the sulfur powder is brought into contact with the soil to synthesize amino acids such as methionine and alanine in the soil, thereby expanding the sulfur root region by the sulfur bacteria in the soil and improving the bactericidal activity of the soil. Methionine and alanine induce protein, and if the contact period of sulfur with soil becomes long, chlorophyll and carotenoid of green bacteria, chlorophyl and red bacteria, etc., which are inorganic nutrients for sulfur compounds of sulfur bacteria and photosynthetic bacteria, absorb light, sulfur powder generates sulfurous acid gas, the sulfurous acid gas passes through holes provided in the cover member and is absorbed by the leaves of the seedlings, and the odor of the sulfurous acid gas adhering to the leaves is strong, so that it is difficult for pests and diseases to adhere to the leaves, the amount and type of conventionally used agricultural chemicals can be suppressed to about 1/3, and the cost required for plant cultivation can be reduced and the operation can be rationalized.

In the agricultural mat, the means for bringing the sulfur powder into contact with soil may be constituted by an opening formed in the bottom plate and a paper covering the opening and on which the sulfur powder is placed. Thus, by merely placing the agricultural mat on the soil, the strength can be reduced by wetting the paper or the sulfur powder can be brought into contact with the soil by decomposing the paper by the soil.

The agricultural mat may be provided with a cup having an opening bottom portion in contact with the paper in a state where the sulfur powder is stored, and a hole for communicating a space in which the sulfur powder is stored with an internal space formed by the bottom plate and the cover member. This allows the inside of the cup to communicate with the outside of the agricultural mat and allows the sulfur powder to be held at a predetermined position in the agricultural mat.

As described above, according to the present invention, the cost required for preventing diseases and pests can be kept low when cultivating plants.

Detailed Description

Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of an agricultural mat according to the present invention, and the agricultural mat 1 includes: a base plate 2; a cover member 3 covering the base plate 2; a hole 3a provided through the cover member 3 to communicate an internal space 4 formed by the bottom plate 2 and the cover member 3 with the outside; sulfur powder contained in the internal space 4; and a mechanism (hereinafter referred to as "contact mechanism") 6 for bringing the sulfur powder 5 into contact with soil when the base plate 2 is placed on the soil.

The base plate 2 is a rectangular plate having a short side of about 6cm and a long side of about 11cm, and is made of plastic such as polyethylene or vinyl. Two openings 2a are formed through the bottom plate 2, and the openings 2a are rectangular openings to the extent that four cups 7, which will be described later, can be arranged. The opening 2a is a part of the contact mechanism 6.

The cover member 3 is a member that forms an internal space 4 with the base plate 2 and covers the upper surface of the base plate 2, and can be made of plastic such as polyethylene or vinyl resin. The number and arrangement of the holes 3a penetrating the cover member 3 can be, for example, 15 in total in 3 rows × 5 columns. The cover member 3 is fixed to the base plate 2 by bonding or the like.

The contact mechanism 6 includes: two openings 2a of the bottom plate 2; and 2 sheets of paper 7 which are bonded to the base plate 2 so as to close the opening 2a of the base plate 2 and on which the sulfur powder 5 is placed.

The agricultural mat 1 further includes a cup (having a diameter of about 1.2 cm) 8, the cup 8 having an opening bottom portion bonded to the paper 7 in a state where the sulfur powder 5 is stored, and a hole 8a for communicating a space in which the sulfur powder 5 is stored with the internal space 4 formed by the bottom plate 2 and the lid member 3. The cups 8 are provided with 4 holes 2a of the base plate 2, and 8 holes in total, and although not shown in the drawings, the sulfur powder 5 is contained in all of the cups 8. This makes it possible to release sulfurous acid gas, which will be described later, to the outside while holding the sulfur powder 5 at a predetermined position of the agricultural mat 1.

Further, by providing the protruding reinforcement portion 3b on the upper surface of the cover member 3, the strength of the agricultural mat 1 can be improved.

Next, an installation example of the agricultural mat 1 having the above-described configuration will be described with reference to fig. 1 and 2.

The agricultural mat 1 according to the present invention is used by being placed in the vicinity of a seedling 11 on soil 10. When the agricultural mat 1 is set on the soil 10, the paper 7 wets and the strength decreases, or the paper 7 is decomposed by the soil, and the sulfur powder 5 contained in the cup 8 comes into contact with the soil 10.

By bringing the sulfur powder 5 into contact with the soil 10, amino acids such as methionine and alanine are synthesized in the soil 10, and the sulfur root region is enlarged by sulfur bacteria in the soil, thereby improving the bactericidal activity of the soil, preventing diseases such as anthracnose, powdery mildew, downy mildew and the like on the roots of the planted seedlings 11, and preventing diseases and insect pests caused by aphids and mites on the roots of the planted seedlings 11.

Further, as the contact period between the sulfur powder 5 and the soil 10 becomes longer, sulfurous acid gas is generated from the sulfur powder 5 and is released from the upper portion of the agricultural mat 1 to the outside through the hole 8a of the cup 8 and the hole 3a of the cover member 3. Since the sulfurous acid gas released is absorbed by the leaves of the seedlings 11, the odor of the sulfurous acid gas adhering to the leaves is strong, and thus it is difficult for the disease and pest to adhere to the leaves, and the effect of preventing downy mildew, powdery mildew, sclerotinia rot, and brown spot is particularly obtained. Further, although 85% or more of the sulfurous acid gas is absorbed by the seedlings 11, the sulfurous acid gas is in a trace amount, and therefore, the sulfurous acid gas hardly affects the human body and the surrounding environment of the seedlings 11 and other plants, the workers who perform the work in the greenhouse, and the like.

According to the present invention, since the disease and insect pest can be prevented only by providing the agricultural mat 1 as described above, the amount of agricultural chemicals used in the past can be reduced to about 1/3, the types of agricultural chemicals can be suppressed to a small amount, and the cost can be reduced. Further, the agricultural mat 1 can exhibit the above-described effects in about 150 days.

In the above description, the case where the contact mechanism 6 is constituted by the opening 2a of the bottom plate 2 and the paper 7 and the sulfur powder 5 is automatically brought into contact with the soil 10 has been described, but in order to bring the sulfur powder 5 into contact with the soil 10 more quickly, for example, a sliding member that slides so as to open and close the opening 2a of the bottom plate 2 may be provided instead of the paper 7, the sulfur powder 5 may be placed on the sliding member in advance, and when the agricultural mat 1 is provided, the sliding member is slid to open the opening 2a, whereby the sulfur powder 5 and the soil 10 are manually brought into contact.

The shape, number, and arrangement of the openings 2a and the holes 3a penetrating the bottom plate 2 and the cover member 3 are merely examples, and may be appropriately modified in consideration of diffusion of the sulfurous acid gas and contact between the sulfur powder 5 and the soil 10.

Next, a reference example of a plant cultivation method will be described with reference to fig. 3.

In the method for cultivating a plant according to the present reference example, 1 or 2 sulfur powders 21 (2 in the illustrated example) are linearly arranged in the vicinity of the position where the seedling 11 is planted on the soil 10. The amount of the sulfur powder 21 to be disposed is preferably about 15 to 50kg per one acre of soil 10.

Next, the soil 10 is covered with a sheet (covering member) 22 made of vinyl resin, polypropylene or the like so that the planting holes 22a are located at positions spaced about 4 to 50cm from the sulfur powder 21 disposed on the soil 10, and then the seedlings 11 are planted in the planting holes 22 a.

According to the present reference example, the sulfur powder 21 is brought into contact with the soil 10 to improve the bactericidal activity of the soil, thereby preventing diseases and insect pests on the roots of the seedlings 11 while preventing diseases and insect pests on the roots of the seedlings 11. In addition, the disease pests are difficult to attach to the foliage by the sulfurous acid gas generated from the sulfur powder 21. Therefore, the amount of the agricultural chemical used in the past can be reduced, the types of the agricultural chemical can be reduced, and the cost can be reduced.
