Technical Field

The invention relates to a module for insertion into a housing or for removal from a housing, comprising a base body with a front wall and a rear wall.

Background

Modules that can be inserted into a switchgear cabinet and removed therefrom again are known from the prior art. Such modules can be inserted into the switchgear cabinet in the manner of drawers and still be removable therefrom. Modules of this type can carry, accommodate or be constructed so as to be electrical equipment.

In practice, there is a need for a module that can be easily inserted and yet still be removable, and which is stable in use so that it is damaged as little as possible.

Disclosure of Invention

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a module which is slidably inserted into a housing in as unhindered a manner as possible and which is still removable from the housing.

According to the invention, the aforementioned object is solved by a module having the features of patent claim 1. According to this, the initially described module is characterized in that parallel elongated strip portions extend between the front wall and the rear wall, the longitudinal extension of which separates the front wall and the rear wall, wherein at least one strip portion has a guiding leg for cooperation with a guiding counter-element.

According to the invention, it is firstly established that the strip section can have a carrying function and a guiding function. It was then determined that the strip portions substantially increased the torsional stability of the module during its movement. In this way, electrical devices, such as contacts, switches or control units, can be effectively protected. Finally, it is established that the strip section can cooperate with guiding counter-elements in the housing or in the switchgear cabinet in such a way that the module is reliably guided during insertion and removal. For example, the guide counter element may be a guide rail or similar guide means, which extends in the insertion direction or the removal direction.

Advantageously, the guide legs project freely outwards with an outer edge, or the strip portion additionally has only one guide leg. This allows a particularly defined guiding of the module. The strip-shaped guide leg portion increases the bending rigidity of the strip portion. The freely projecting guide legs additionally create space for assembly elements such as screws.

It is further advantageous if the strip section has three legs, wherein the guide leg and the two further mounting legs are each inclined relative to one another and have a projecting outer edge. As a result, the strip portion has a star-shaped type. The radial projecting mounting legs do not interfere with the guide legs when the screws are tightened to these.

In this context, it is advantageous if at least one mounting leg has at least one threaded hole or a plurality of threaded holes. Due to the grid-like or pattern-like arrangement of the threaded holes on the bar portions, the device can be fastened in the module in a number of ways. As a result, adjustable mechanical coding of the module is also possible.

Advantageously, the guide leg has at least one recess. The recess or recesses may constitute a mechanical coding, so that the module can only be brought into a specific position in the housing or in the switchgear cabinet.

It is further advantageous if the strip section is designed to be Y-shaped in cross section. Preferably, all strip sections are configured Y-shaped. This shape makes it possible to accommodate screws without the screw heads interfering with the sliding function of the module. The Y-shape results in high torsional stability and bending strength of the strip section and/or the whole module.

Advantageously, four bar portions are provided. The removable and movable module is designed such that four strip sections extending in the depth direction (i.e. in the insertion direction) undertake a mechanical connection of the front wall and the rear wall and furthermore a guidance of the module in both directions. In this respect, the strip portions are the bearing portion and the guide portion.

Further advantageously, the front wall and the rear wall are interconnected by means of at least one strip section or by all strip sections. The strip portion allows good access to the equipment housed within the module.

Advantageously, the at least one strip portion may be connected or form-fittingly connected to the front wall and/or the rear wall. The form-fitting connection simplifies the assembly of the module. Preferably, four strip parts of the Y shape are connected to the front and rear walls in a form-fitting manner and are fixed by riveting, screwing, latching or welding.

It is further advantageous if the arrangement comprises a module and a housing of the type described here, wherein the module is movable in an insertion direction or a removal direction, and wherein the insertion direction and the removal direction are oriented parallel to the at least one strip section. The module can therefore be used in switchgear or switchgear cabinets. Use in the low pressure range is possible.

The module and/or the arrangement can be used in low-voltage switchgear, in particular in low-voltage switchgear.

The IP43 protection type can be achieved by using a sealing strip. The size of the module is determined by the size of the front and rear walls.

Detailed Description

Fig. 1 shows a module for insertion into a housing 14 or for removal from a housing 14, which module comprises a base body 1 with a front wall 2 and a rear wall 3. Parallel elongate strip sections 4 extend between the front wall 2 and the rear wall 3, the longitudinal extension of which separates the front wall 2 and the rear wall 3, wherein at least one strip section 4 has a guide leg 4a for cooperation with a guide counter element 13 shown in fig. 3.

The guide leg 4a projects freely outward with an outer edge. The strip portion 4 has only one guide leg 4 a. In particular, four strip portions 4 are provided, wherein each strip portion 4 has only one guiding leg 4 a.

The front wall 2 and the rear wall 3 are interconnected by all strip portions 4. Each strip portion 4 is connected to the front wall 2 and the rear wall 3 in a form-fitting manner. The front wall 2 and the rear wall 3 are made of metal in a contact-safe manner. The front wall 2 is composed of two elements, of which the inner element mainly takes on the fastening function and the outer element mainly serves as an optical screen. In the front wall 2, actuating means for the switching element 5 and for the locking system 6 are arranged. The actuating device may be configured as two separate actuating devices or combined into one device. Furthermore, a handle element 7 is fastened to the front wall 2.

In addition to the main structure, a separately removable control unit is also located in the module. The operating and display panel 8 of the control unit is also located in the front wall 2 and is therefore easily accessible. A rear wall 3 is provided for securing the main contacts (i.e. input and output) as well as the control contacts.

At least one electrical device 12 is housed within the module. Due to the skeleton structure of the module created by the strip portion 4, the electrical equipment within the module is easily accessible.

The two strip portions 4 are interconnected by transverse struts 9. The transverse strut 9 is oriented substantially orthogonally to the strip portion 4, but may also have a different inclination with respect to the strip portion 4. The cross braces 9 prevent the long strip section 4 from sagging.

Fig. 2 shows in perspective view the strip section 4 mounted in the module according to fig. 1.

The strip portion 4 has three legs, wherein the guide leg 4a and the two further mounting legs 4b are each inclined relative to each other and each have a freely projecting outer edge.

The outer edge of the guide leg 4a is rounded. The guide leg 4a is formed by folding.

Each mounting leg 4b has a plurality of threaded holes 10. The guide leg 4a has a plurality of recesses 11. The strip portion 4 is configured to be Y-shaped in cross section.

Fig. 3 schematically shows an arrangement comprising a not completely shown module with a strip section 4 of the type described here and a housing 14 configured as a switchgear cabinet, wherein the module is movable in an insertion direction or a removal direction, and wherein the insertion direction and the removal direction are oriented parallel to at least one strip section 4. The direction of insertion is shown by the arrows in fig. 3 and 1.

The guide counter element 13 is configured in the manner of a guide rail with which the guide leg 4a can cooperate.

The housing 14 is not limited to being a switch cabinet configuration, but may be configured as any container or rack into which the module may be inserted.

In this respect, the module according to fig. 1 is configured as a push-in module and in the manner of a drawer. The modules are constructed as so-called skeleton modules.

The module of course has a front wall 2 and a rear wall 3, but no side walls. A base plate may preferably be provided but may be omitted if the device is suitably fastened to the front wall 2, the rear wall 3 and/or the strap portion 4.
