Background

The common centrifugal pump does not have a self-suction function, and in order to ensure the normal operation of the centrifugal pump, a water inlet pipe and the pump need to be filled with liquid. When the impeller is above the suction level, the following methods are generally used: the pump and the water inlet pipe are filled with liquid before starting at every time, so that the workload is increased, the starting time is prolonged, remote automatic control is not facilitated, and the operation is inconvenient. The bottom valve is arranged at the inlet of the water inlet pipe, but the bottom valve causes great hydraulic loss, and the situation that the liquid leaks due to poor sealing exists. The vacuum pump is adopted to discharge the gas in the water inlet pipe and the pump, and the method has the advantages of high equipment cost, complex operation and large maintenance workload.

The self-priming pump is designed and improved in structure, water is filled into the pump before the self-priming pump is started for the first time, and a water inlet pipe does not need to be filled with water. The pump itself can automatically discharge the gas of the water inlet pipe, thereby entering normal operation. At present, a gas-liquid mixing self-priming pump is mainly adopted and is divided into an internal mixing type and an external mixing type. The working principle is that a certain amount of water is stored in the pump, and after the pump is started, air and water in the water inlet pipeline are fully mixed under the rotating action of the impeller and are discharged to the air-water separation chamber. The gas at the upper part of the gas-water separation chamber is discharged, the liquid at the lower part returns to the impeller and is mixed with the gas of the water inlet pipe until the gas of the pump and the water inlet pipeline is completely discharged, and the self-priming process is completed. The internal mixing type self-sucking pump is divided into an injection device and a non-injection device, wherein the internal mixing type self-sucking pump with the injection device has the advantages of fast water feeding and high suction lift.

Because the gas-liquid separation chamber, the volute chamber, the suction chamber and the reflux device of the gas-liquid mixing self-priming pump are integrally formed, the structure of the pump is complex, the processing difficulty is high, the size is heavy, and the cost is high. In order to realize the functions of gas-water mixing and gas-water separation, the flow channel and the fluid mechanics model of the pump are changed, so that the efficiency of the self-priming pump is far lower than that of the common centrifugal pump.
