Technical Field
The invention relates to a wall-mountable sanitary line connection with a wall-mountable base body, a valve block body which can be fastened to the base body, and a valve which is held on the valve block body.
Background
Plumbing fittings of this type are used in sanitary engineering, in particular as interfaces between building-side water supplies on the one hand and end-load devices such as shower spouts and sanitary outlet taps or outlet fittings at wash stands, bathtubs, kitchen sinks and the like on the other hand. The line connections, for example in the form of so-called open or concealed installation boxes, are frequently used not only in open-type designs but also in concealed-type designs, in addition to the types considered here with integrated valves, as an alternative to their use in valveless designs. Usually, such a pipe connection is also used as a so-called water socket. By "wall-mountable" is meant here that the sanitary plumbing connection is defined and set up for being able to be installed at a wall on the building side, in particular at a wall region in which there is a water installation connection point on the building side. The term "wall" here generally refers to a building-side surface suitable for the installation of the pipe connection device, which surface can be not only a real vertical wall surface of a building but also a ceiling surface or floor surface.

Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a wall-mountable sanitary pipe connection of the type mentioned at the outset, which offers improvements with respect to the above-mentioned prior art with regard to flexibility of use, compact design, production costs and/or the possibility of use in modern sanitary systems, including systems with water sockets and systems for sanitary smart home applications.
The invention solves this problem by providing a wall-mountable sanitary pipe connection having the features of
Furthermore, the line connection device comprises at least three electrically actuable valves, each of which comprises a valve cartridge, each of which has a valve inlet in fluid connection with the distribution chamber and which are held on the valve block body with their cartridge longitudinal axes parallel to one another, wherein the cartridge longitudinal axes are arranged offset from one another about a central point in a circumferential direction perpendicular to the cartridge longitudinal axes. Three, four or more valves can be arranged in this manner as desired. The valve block body has a corresponding number of at least three mutually separate flow guides, which each lead from one of the valve outlets to one of the line connections and can be fixed on the base body in such a way that its valve block-side contact surface contacts the base-side contact surface.
The term "line connection pipe" is used in this case to mean a connection pipe for coupling not only a rigid water line but also a flexible water hose, for example a rigid line leading to the water spray body or the water spray head or a flexible water spray hose leading to the water spray head. In this case, the line connection pipes form the outlet openings of the respective associated valve-controlled fluid guides of the line connection for the water supplied via the water inlet, wherein one or more sanitary end loads, such as shower spouts or water outlet fittings, for example in the form of common mixing fittings or outflow taps, can be coupled to the outlet openings in a desired manner, for example at least three-channel conventional shower spouts or at least three spouts and/or outflow taps which can be connected in parallel and are optionally or individually supplied with water by electrical actuation of valves.
With this configuration, the pipe connection can be used flexibly for different applications, even in modern sanitary installations of the smart home type or in sanitary systems with water sockets. The use of an electrically controllable valve allows the water guide in the line connection to be electrically controlled, which in particular allows remote control of the water guide, so that direct accessibility of the line connection is not absolutely necessary for actuating the valve. The valve can in particular be a shut-off valve, but alternatively can be another type of valve, for example a mixing valve or a changeover valve, for which purpose the valve can then accordingly have one or more additional valve inlets and/or valve outlets. By using a valve with a preferably cylindrical valve cartridge, the line connection can be flexibly equipped with the respectively desired valve if necessary, and the valve is then held with its valve cartridge on the valve block body. If only one or two valves are required for a particular application, then it is possible to keep the remaining valves inoperative or to keep the relevant mounting position at the valve block body unarmed.
Furthermore, it is advantageous to implement the line connection in the following manner: the valve cartridge has, on the one hand, line-connecting tubes arranged side by side in a row and, on the other hand, valve cartridges arranged with their longitudinal axes offset from one another about a center point in a circumferential direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the valve cartridges. This combines in a particularly advantageous manner the compact arrangement of the three or more valves and the correspondingly possible compact design of the line connections formed thereby overall with the typically required row or row-by-row arrangement of the associated three or more line connections on the outlet side. If only one or two line connection pipes are required for a particular application, the line connection pipes which are not required can be kept unused and the associated valves can be kept inactive.
It is further advantageous if three or more fluid guides, which are separate from one another and lead from the respective valve outlet to the associated line connection pipe, are integrated into the valve block body, the fluid guides being configured in such a way that: so that water passes from the valve cartridges arranged offset in the circumferential direction to the pipe connection pipes arranged in a row. The valve block body in the assembled state rests stably with its valve block-side abutment face against the base-side abutment face of the base body, wherein its distribution chamber inlet is coupled in a fluid-tight manner to the water inlet of the base body.
In a development of the invention, the valve cartridge has the shape of a cylinder and has an electrical valve connection unit at a first end side and a valve inlet and a valve outlet at a second end side facing the line coupling side of the valve block body. This represents a distribution solution of the electrical connection on the one hand and the corresponding fluid connection of the valve on the other hand which is advantageous for achieving a compact design of the line connection. The valve cartridge can then be oriented, for example, with its first end side having an electrical valve connection unit, at the valve block body toward the base body, so that when the line connection device is installed at a wall surface, the valve cartridge is oriented with its other end side having the valve inlet and the valve outlet forward away from the wall surface.
In a development of the invention, the valve block body comprises a circumferentially encircling rubber-elastic retaining ring, and the respective valve has a connecting cable which leads out from the first end side of its valve cartridge and which is guided through a cable guide gap between the rubber retaining ring of the valve block body and the adjacent region. This enables an optimized cable guidance for the valve. In particular, it is not necessary with this measure to maintain the valve cartridge in an accessible state at its first end face (at which the electrical valve connection unit of the valve cartridge is located) for electrical contacting measures when the valve block body is fixed to the base body. These electrical contacting measures can be carried out by this measure at a more accessible position of the line connection. If necessary, the rubber-elastic retaining ring can additionally be used to secure a fastening element, such as a threaded fastener, which is provided on the valve block body according to the design of the line connection. The retaining ring can be produced, for example, simply in the form of a rubber sealing ring or an O-ring rubber.
In a further development of the invention, the seat-side contact surface and the valve block-side contact surface are each located on a spherical shell. The valve block body can thus be aligned as required in its position relative to the base body when mounted at the base body, with the two abutment surfaces abutting against one another acting as a spherical shell-shaped alignment joint. The valve block body is then fixed in the aligned position on the base body, for example by means of a screw connection or other preferably releasable connection, such as a snap-on connection or the like.
In a development of the invention, the water inlet opens out laterally into the base body at a lateral region of the base body adjoining the wall-fastening side of the base body. This can help to enable the pipe connection to be realized with a relatively small structural depth, i.e. a relatively small dimension in a direction perpendicular to the installation wall.
In a development of the invention, the valve block body has a circular cross section and the valve cartridge longitudinal axes are arranged offset circumferentially at equidistant angular intervals within the cross section on a common radius. This contributes overall to a very compact design of the valve block body, if necessary, and thus also of the line connection.
In a development of the invention, the base body comprises a wall-mountable base plate and a base body which is fixed to the base plate and has a water inlet. This represents a multi-part embodiment of the base body which is advantageous in terms of production and assembly technology. By means of the base plate, the base body can be mounted in a desired manner on a wall surface with a concealed or exposed technique, wherein the base body is fastened in a releasable manner to the base plate, for example by means of threaded fasteners or the like, and the water inlet is prefabricated on the base body.
In a development of the invention, the base body has an empty tube receptacle for an empty tube which can be used to receive one or more electrical lines. This enables a simple cable feed for the electrically controllable valve.
In a development of the invention, the base body forms a connection box with a box housing cover. The cartridge housing cover protects the interior space of the base body including the valve and can also function as a visible shield. The connection box is particularly suitable for use as a concealed mounting box for concealed implementation of the pipe connection.
