Chinese patent No. CN207925721U discloses a power connector, which includes an insulating housing and a terminal mounted on the insulating housing. The insulating body is provided with a columnar bearing part and an annular accommodating groove positioned on the outer side of the bearing part, the bearing part is provided with a butt joint surface, and the bearing part is provided with a lengthwise power supply terminal groove and a pinhole-shaped signal terminal groove; the signal terminal groove is positioned on two sides of the power supply terminal groove, and the terminals comprise power supply terminals positioned in the power supply terminal groove and signal terminals positioned in the signal terminal groove. The power connector is simple in structure and good in electrical property, water is easy to accumulate in the connector, and the waterproof effect is not good.

It is therefore desirable to design an improved electrical connector that overcomes the above-mentioned deficiencies.

In order to solve the above problems, the present invention can adopt the following technical scheme: an electric connector comprises a body and a plurality of terminals arranged on the body, wherein each terminal comprises a first terminal group and a second terminal group, each terminal comprises a fixing part fixed on the body, a contact part extending forwards from the fixing part and a pin extending backwards from the fixing part, the body is provided with a rear wall surface and a plurality of fixing grooves penetrating through the rear wall surface, the fixing parts of the terminals are fixed in the corresponding fixing grooves one by one, and the pins extend backwards from the rear wall surface; the electric connector further comprises a waterproof cover plate and a waterproof rubber plate, wherein the waterproof cover plate covers the pin of the rear wall surface corresponding to the first terminal group; the waterproof rubber plate is injected and covers the pin of the rear wall surface corresponding to the second terminal group so as to seal a gap between the second terminal group and the corresponding fixing groove.

Compared with the prior art, the rear wall surface of the electric connector is provided with the waterproof cover plate and the waterproof rubber plate, so that different types of terminal pins can be sealed, and a good waterproof function is realized.

Referring to fig. 1 to 10, an electrical connector 100 for transmitting power and signals is disclosed.

Referring to fig. 8-10, the electrical connector 100 includes a body 10, a terminal 20 mounted on the body, and a waterproof structure, wherein the body 10 is made of an insulating material, and the terminal 2 is made of a conductive metal material. The terminals are substantially identical in structure, and each terminal 20 includes a fixing portion 21 for being fixed to the body, a contact portion 22 extending forward from the fixing portion, and a pin 23 extending rearward from the fixing portion. The terminals 20 include a first terminal group 20P and a second terminal group 20S, the first terminal group is a power terminal, the second terminal group is a signal terminal, and the size of the power terminal is larger than that of the signal terminal, so that a large current can be transmitted. The second terminal group 20S includes a plurality of terminals arranged in a row, and the first terminal group includes a plurality of terminals and is located on a peripheral side of the second terminal group. As can be seen from the drawing, in the embodiment, the terminals include three sets of first terminal sets and two sets of second terminal sets, each second terminal set 20S includes a plurality of terminals arranged in a row, the two second terminal sets 20S are arranged at left and right intervals, each signal terminal includes two independent terminal pieces 201 and 202, the terminal pieces are symmetrically arranged face to face, the fixing portions and the contact portions are spaced apart from each other, and the pins abut against each other to connect the circuit board or the cable externally. The first terminal group 20P includes three power terminals and is located at the peripheral side of the signal terminals, each power terminal includes two independent terminal pieces 203, 204, the contact portion, the fixing portion, and the pins are all spaced apart from each other, wherein each contact portion includes two elastic arms 221 extending from the fixing portion, the distance of the two elastic arms along the butt joint direction is different, the elastic arms of the terminal pieces 203, 204 of each power terminal are close to each other face to face, but the length of each elastic arm is complementary to each other. The body is provided with a front flange 17, and a pair of bolts 18 are fixed in the concave holes 171 provided in the front flange 17 from the rear to the front for fixing the mating connector. As described herein, the front side is opposite to the docking connector, and the rear side is opposite to the docking connector.

Referring to fig. 4, the body 10 includes a front wall ring 11, a docking post 12 located in the front wall ring 11, and a rear wall ring 13, wherein an annular groove 14 is formed between the front wall ring 11 and the docking post 12, and an accommodating cavity 15 is formed in the rear wall ring 13. The body 10 has a front wall 101 and a rear wall 102 opposite to each other, the docking post 12 has a terminal slot 121 penetrating the front and rear walls, and a fixing slot 122 fixed to the fixing portion 21 one by one, as shown in fig. 7, the fixing slot 122 penetrates the rear wall 102 backward, and the fixing portion 21 forms a hard interference fit with the fixing slot 122 by means of the barbs, thereby fixing the terminal in the body 10. The contact portion 22 is received in the terminal groove 121 and can be shifted. The rear wall 102 and the rear wall ring 13 form the receiving chamber 15. The pins 23 of the terminals extend rearward from the rear wall 102 and pass through the receiving cavities 15.

With reference to fig. 2-5, the electrical connector 100 further includes a waterproof cover 30 and a waterproof glue plate 40, the waterproof cover 30 covers the rear wall 102 at the locations corresponding to the pins 23 of the first terminal set 20P, the waterproof glue plate is injected and covers the rear wall 102 at the locations corresponding to the pins 23 of the second terminal set 20S to seal the gaps between the second terminal set 20S and the corresponding securing slots 122, the first terminal set 20P is located at the periphery of the second terminal set 20S, the waterproof cover 30 has a notch 31 for the pins 23 of the second terminal set 20S to pass through, the waterproof cover 30 is first installed in the receiving cavity 15, and then the waterproof glue plate 40 is formed by injecting glue to enhance the holding force between the waterproof cover and the waterproof glue plate and the holding force between the waterproof cover and the rear wall 102, the rear wall 102 of the body is provided with a recessed area 16 surrounding the second terminal set, the second terminal set 23 passes through the recessed area 16, in the recessed area, as shown in fig. 4-7, the signal terminals formed between adjacent signal terminals 16 extend from the recessed area 35161 to the space 161, and the signal terminals are bent from the top surface 161 of the space 161, and the signal terminals are bent to the space 161, the signal terminals 222, the signal terminals are formed by a distance equal to no more than the distance equal to the distance equal to the distance equal to.

In other embodiments, the body is provided with a drainage hole at the contact portion 22 communicating with the power terminals of the first terminal group 20P, the drainage hole being located in front of the front wall surface of the body, and a drainage function can be implemented for the power terminals.
