1. A method of preparing a polymeric composition comprising
(a) Providing a dispersion of initial polyolefin particles in an aqueous medium, wherein the initial polyolefin particles comprise
(i) One or more hydrocarbon polyolefins,
(ii) one or more non-hydrocarbon polyolefins, and
(iii) one or more cross-linking agents;
(b) contacting the initial polyolefin particles with a peroxide initiator to form crosslinked polyolefin particles.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the hydrocarbon polyolefin comprises polymerized units of α -olefin having 4 or less carbon atoms and polymerized units of α -olefin having 5 or more carbon atoms.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the initial polyolefin particles have a Tg of-30 ℃ or less.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein the non-hydrocarbon polyolefin comprises a reaction product of maleic anhydride grafted onto a hydrocarbon polyolefin.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein the peroxide initiator has structure R1-O-O-R2Wherein R is1And R2Each is hydrogen or alkyl, wherein R1And R2Not all are hydrogen.
6. A dispersion of crosslinked polyolefin particles in an aqueous medium, prepared by the method of claim 1.
