Technical Field

The present invention relates to a refrigerant composition having a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) and a refrigeration cycle apparatus using the same.

Background

Various measures are being promoted internationally in order to prevent global warming. On the 21 st united nations climate change framework convention contracting party conference (COP21), held in 2015, the paris agreement was passed, namely: it is required to keep the world average air temperature rise sufficiently below 2 c compared to before the industrial revolution and to suppress the effort to 1.5 c.

At present, the average temperature rise after the industrial revolution is about 1 ℃, and in order to keep the average temperature rise within 2 ℃, the average CO must be increased2The concentration was suppressed to 450 ppm. However, from the present CO2The emissions increase is expected to exceed this level in the next 30 years. Japan expresses the meaning of advancing a policy targeting 1.5 ℃ and predicts that strict countermeasures will be taken.

As for the refrigerant used in the refrigerating and air-conditioning equipment, a fluorine compound is often used in addition to the small-scale refrigerating and air-conditioning equipment in view of safety. Although the combustibility is deteriorated by the presence of a bond between carbon C and fluorine F, that is, a C — F bond, in the fluorine-based refrigerant, since an infrared absorption region or a binding energy is large in a window region (a wavelength region other than an atmospheric absorption wavelength) of global radiation (black body radiation of 288K on average: mainly infrared light), the life in the atmosphere is prolonged, and as a result, high gwp (global Warming potential) is likely to be obtained.

Therefore, in japan, regulations for preventing global warming related to fluorine compounds are being advanced. In regard to the use and management of a fluorine-based refrigerant used in a refrigerating and air-conditioning apparatus, a restriction target apparatus and a restriction target substance are stipulated in "law (freon emission suppression law) relating to the rationalization of the use of freon and optimization of management".

Specific limiting substances are: ozone layer-damaging substances (mainly fluorine compounds containing chlorine or bromine) restricted in "law relating to protection of the ozone layer by restriction of specific substances or the like", substances (mainly substances composed of hydrogen, fluorine and carbon and having a high GWP) stipulated in "law relating to advancement of global warming countermeasures". Although there is a worldwide movement for refrigerant restriction, it is found that the flammability tends to increase as the GWP of the refrigerant is lowered.

R410A [ HFC (hydrofluorocarbon) 32/HFC125(50/50 wt%) ] and R404A [ HFC125/HFC143a/HFC134a (44/52/4 wt%) ] of refrigerants used in refrigeration cycle apparatuses (refrigeration and air-conditioning apparatuses) have high GWPs, i.e., R410A is 1924 and R404A is 3943, and therefore, it is necessary to develop a refrigeration cycle apparatus using an alternative refrigerant having a low GWP.

As the alternative refrigerant, for reasons of thermal properties, low GWP, low toxicity, low combustibility and the like, there are mentioned: difluoromethane (HFC32) (GWP of 677), 2,3,3, 3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO (hydrofluoroolefin) 1234yf) (GWP of 0), 1,3,3, 3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO1234ze) (GWP of 1), trifluoroethylene (HFO1123) (GWP < 1), 3,3, 3-trifluoropropene (HFO1243zf) (GWP of 0), or a mixed refrigerant of HFO with HFC32, HFC125, HFC134a, or the like; hydrocarbons such as propane and propylene; and hydrofluorocarbons having a low GWP such as monofluoroethane (HFC161) and difluoroethane (HFC152 a).

Among these refrigerant candidates, mixed refrigerants including hydrofluoroolefin-based refrigerants (HFO1234yf, HFO1234ze, HFO1123, etc.) having significantly lower combustibility than HFC32 have been proposed for multi-air-conditioning for buildings, which has a large capacity and a large amount of refrigerant-sealed as an air conditioner (air-conditioning apparatus).

According to the modification of the freezing safety regulations by the high-pressure gas safety law (2016, 11 months), HFC32, HFO1234yf, and HFO1234ze are considered as inactive gases, but since these refrigerants have slight flammability, 5 freezing tons or more of refrigerants are also classified as specific inactive gases, and it is necessary to provide a structure that does not stagnate when the refrigerants leak, and to provide a detection alarm at a place where there is a possibility of stagnation.

Meanwhile, in refrigerators, from the viewpoint of the above-mentioned freon emission suppression method, nonflammable mixed refrigerants including HFO1234yf and HFO1234ze having a GWP of 1500 or less are attracting attention, and products using R448A and R449A are being developed. However, the mixed refrigerant is difficult to be nonflammable unless the GWP of the mixed refrigerant is set to about 1100 to 1400, and a refrigerant having low combustibility or nonflammability is required for further lowering the GWP of the refrigerant used in the refrigerator.

As a method for making the refrigerant nonflammable, a low boiling point compound containing an element such as iodine, bromine, or chlorine is generally mixed with a refrigerant having combustibility. For example, Japanese patent application laid-open No. 2018-44169 discloses a method for mixing trifluoroiodomethane, and Japanese patent application laid-open No. 2017-110225 discloses a method for mixing monochlorotrifluoropropene.

Disclosure of Invention

Problems to be solved by the invention

Since a large-sized air conditioner such as a multi-split air conditioner for buildings has a large refrigerating capacity and a large refrigerant charge amount, it is necessary to use a mixed refrigerant having a significantly lower combustibility than HFC32 and a GWP of 750 or less. In addition, a non-combustible mixed refrigerant having a GWP of 1000 or less must be used for the refrigerator.

In recent years, demands for global environmental protection have been increasing, and conventional refrigeration and air-conditioning technologies, for example, the technologies described in patent documents 1 and 2, have not been able to satisfy the demands completely. That is, although the GWP of the mixed refrigerant using trifluoroiodomethane, monochlorotrifluoropropene, or the like is low, the annual energy consumption efficiency (APF) is lowered because the temperature gradient in the heat exchanger is increased. Therefore, the environmental load is not reduced overall.

Meanwhile, a refrigeration cycle apparatus such as an air conditioner or a refrigerator is provided with a hermetic electric compressor having a built-in motor, and the hermetic electric compressor is filled with a refrigerator oil for lubrication, sealing, cooling, and the like of a sliding portion thereof. The required characteristics of the refrigerating machine oil include compatibility between a liquid refrigerant and the refrigerating machine oil (property of being difficult to separate liquid from liquid in two layers). In general, a mixture of a liquid refrigerant and a refrigerator oil has a separation region (two-phase separation region) on a low temperature side and a high temperature side, and particularly, a two-phase separation characteristic of the liquid refrigerant/the refrigerator oil on the low temperature side, that is, a property that the liquid refrigerant and the refrigerator oil are difficult to be separated into two phases is important.

In a refrigeration cycle apparatus of the present stage including a hermetic electric compressor using a mixed refrigerant containing trifluoroiodomethane, monochlorotrifluoropropene, or the like, there is a state of insufficient technology for ensuring product reliability. In addition, these compounds have low thermochemical stability due to problems such as biotoxicity and corrosivity, and it is therefore difficult to ensure long-term reliability of the refrigeration cycle. Further, since the vapor pressure of these compounds is low, if HFC32, HFC125, or the like having a high vapor pressure is mixed in order to achieve a pressure level for use in a refrigerating and air-conditioning apparatus, the temperature gradient in the heat exchanger increases, and the heat exchange efficiency decreases.

The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a refrigerant composition which has low combustibility and a GWP of 750 or less and can provide sufficient refrigeration capacity, and a refrigeration cycle using the same.

Effects of the invention

Detailed Description

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described.

The refrigerant composition (mixed refrigerant) of the present embodiment is used in refrigeration cycle apparatuses such as air conditioners and refrigerators.

A sealed electric compressor (compressor) used in the refrigeration cycle apparatus includes a compression mechanism (refrigerant compression unit) having a sliding portion and compressing a refrigerant, and a motor (electric motor) driving the compression mechanism, which are incorporated in a sealed container (pressure container). The hermetic electric compressor is sealed with a refrigerant mixture having low or no combustibility and a refrigerating machine oil. Further, as the hermetic electric compressor, a scroll compressor, a twin-screw compressor, a 2-stage compression-screw compressor, a swing compressor in which a rotor and a vane are integrated, and the like are used.

< refrigerant composition >

The refrigerant composition in the present embodiment is preferably a mixed refrigerant containing three refrigerants, difluoromethane (HFC32), pentafluoroethane (HFC125), and hexafluoropropylene (FO 1216). In addition to the above three refrigerants, one or more refrigerants such as HFO1234yf, HFO1234ze, HFC134a, HFO1123 may be added to adjust the vapor pressure relating to the refrigeration capacity in order to obtain a vapor pressure matching the capacity of the refrigerating and air-conditioning apparatus. Further, by adjusting the mixing concentration of the mixed refrigerant, it is possible to reduce the temperature gradient in the heat exchanger that affects the efficiency of the refrigeration cycle apparatus, and to obtain a refrigerant that is low in combustibility (low combustibility) and non-combustible.

The refrigerant composition of the present embodiment has a flame retardancy parameter F represented by the following formula (1) with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 750 or less and a vapor pressure at 25 ℃ in the range of 1.4MPa to 1.8MPamixThe kind of the mixed refrigerant and the composition thereof are configured to be 0.46 or more.

Fmix=ΣiFixi…(1)

Here, FmixDenotes the flame retardancy parameter, F, of the refrigerant compositioniDenotes the flame retardancy parameter, x, of each refrigerant componentiRepresents the mole fraction of each refrigerant component.

The flame retardancy parameters of the main refrigerants constituting the refrigerant composition of the present embodiment are as follows.

HFC32:0.4

HFC125:0.625

FO1216:0.677

HFC134a:0.500

HFO1234yf:0.444

HFO1234ze:0.444

HFO1123:0.500

It is preferable to set the global warming potential GWP to 750 or less because the environmental performance is excellent and the compatibility with the regulatory system such as the freon emission control law can be improved. Further, if the vapor pressure at 25 ℃ is in the range of 1.4MPa to 1.8MPa, the conventional ordinary refrigerating and air-conditioning apparatus is preferably capable of being equivalent to the refrigerating capacity such as the air-conditioning capacity with less change in system design. Further, if the flame retardancy parameter is set to 0.46 or more, the mixed refrigerant can be made non-flammable, which is preferable.

In the present embodiment, a mixed refrigerant (refrigerant composition) having the above characteristics is obtained by using a composition in which the three refrigerants HFC32, HFC125 and FO1216 are used as main components and are combined. In detail, the improvement of freezing capacity and efficiency is achieved by HFC32, the lowering of combustibility by HFC125, and the lowering of GWP and also the lowering of combustibility by FO 1216.

It is difficult to replace the three refrigerants (HFC32, HFC125 and FO1216) with other refrigerants, but performance can be improved by additionally mixing other refrigerants to the three refrigerants depending on the application and the need. For example, when the vapor pressure is to be further increased, it can be achieved by blending an appropriate amount of HFO 1123. When used as an alternative refrigerant to R404A, the pressure can be reduced by incorporating HFC1234 series, thereby achieving characteristics similar to those of R404A refrigerant.

As for the refrigerant composition (mixed refrigerant) of the present embodiment, the compounding ratio is such that the content of difluoromethane (HFC32) is 45 to 60 wt%, the content of pentafluoroethane (HFC125) is 5 to 20 wt%, and the content of hexafluoropropylene (FO1216) is 30 to 50 wt%.

For this reason, the refrigeration capacity and efficiency are improved by setting the content of difluoromethane (HFC32) to 45 wt% to 60 wt%, the combustibility is suppressed by setting the content of pentafluoroethane (HFC125) to 5 wt% to 20 wt%, and the low GWP and combustibility are suppressed by setting the content of hexafluoropropylene (FO1216) to the range of 30 wt% to 50 wt%.

In the present embodiment, by adjusting the three refrigerants and the blending ratio thereof as described above, a refrigerant composition having a GWP of 750 or less and sufficient performance in terms of flame retardancy (low combustibility), freezing capability and efficiency can be obtained.

In addition, as for the three refrigerants (HFC32, HFC125 and FO1216), as long as the mixing ratio among the three refrigerants is maintained, other refrigerants or additives may be mixed and added within a range not to impair the effect of the present invention, and the properties of the other refrigerants or additives to be added may be added while maintaining the same performance. For example, when the vapor pressure of the refrigerant is to be increased, it is preferable to mix a necessary amount of the refrigerant having the increased vapor pressure.

Since hexafluoropropylene (FO1216) has low thermochemical stability, it is preferable to add a stabilizer and a polymerization inhibitor. Examples of the stabilizer include epoxy compounds, nitro compounds, amine compounds, benzotriazole compounds, and terpenoid compounds. Examples of the polymerization inhibitor include thioether compounds, amine compounds, nitroso compounds, hydroxyaromatic compounds, quinone compounds, and the like.

< refrigerating machine oil >

In the present embodiment, the kinematic viscosity of the refrigerating machine oil filled (sealed) in the hermetic electric compressor is 30 to 100mm at 40 ℃2The polyol ester oil or polyvinyl ether oil in/s is obtained by using the refrigerant composition (mixed refrigerant) of the present embodiment and the refrigerator oil described above, and has a low-temperature side critical solution temperature of +10 ℃ or lower.

As the polyol ester oil, a compound represented by the following chemical formula 1 alone or a compound represented by the following chemical formula 2 alone or a mixture thereof is used. R in the following formula1~R10The alkyl groups have 4 to 9 carbon atoms, and they may be the same or different.

The polyvinyl ether oil is a base oil containing a component represented by the following formula 3. In the formula, O-R11Is methoxy, ethoxy, propoxy or butoxy, and n is 5-15.

The kinematic viscosity of the refrigerator oil at 40 ℃ is 30 to 100mm2The ratio of the amount of the lubricant to the amount of the refrigerant is preferably set to a value of s.

In order to reduce the low-temperature side critical solution temperature of the mixed refrigerant and the refrigerator oil to +10 ℃ or lower, the polyol ester oil may be a compound represented by the following formula 1, a compound represented by the following formula 2, or a mixture thereof, whereby the low-temperature two-layer separation, that is, the temperature at which the refrigerant and the refrigerator oil are subjected to two-layer separation, is reduced.

In the case of using a polyvinyl ether oil, if the base oil has a composition represented by the following formula 3, the same low-temperature two-layer separation characteristics can be obtained.

The polyol ester oil or the polyvinyl ether oil used in the present embodiment may be added with a lubricity improver, an antioxidant, an acid scavenger, an antifoaming agent, a metal deactivator, and the like.

As the antioxidant, phenol-based DBPC (2, 6-di-t-butyl-p-cresol) is preferable.

As the acid scavenger, an aliphatic epoxy compound or a carbodiimide compound, which is a compound having an epoxy ring, is generally preferably used.

It is preferable that the polyvinyl ether oil contains 0.1 to 2.0% by weight of a tertiary phosphate ester as an extreme pressure agent with respect to the oil. Examples of the tertiary phosphate ester include tricresyl phosphate, triphenyl phosphate and derivatives thereof, trixylenyl phosphate, cresyldiphenyl phosphate, 2-ethylhexyl diphenyl phosphate, and tris (2-ethylhexyl) phosphate.

On the other hand, paraffin mineral oil, naphthene mineral oil, poly α olefin oil, soft alkylbenzene oil, and the like cannot be used because they are poorly compatible with the refrigerant composition (mixed refrigerant) having incombustibility according to the present embodiment.

Example of application to air conditioner

Fig. 1 is a view showing a refrigeration cycle configuration of an example of a multi-split air conditioner for a building (multi-room type air conditioner) as a refrigeration cycle apparatus using a refrigerant composition (mixed refrigerant) and a refrigerating machine oil according to the present embodiment. The multi-split air conditioner for a building includes an outdoor unit 1 and indoor units 2a, 2b, and ….

The outdoor unit 1 includes a compressor 3, a four-way valve 4, an outdoor heat exchanger 5, a pressure reducer (outdoor expansion valve; expansion unit) 6 including an electronic expansion valve, a temperature expansion valve, and the like, an accumulator 7, a blower 8 for ventilating the outdoor heat exchanger 5, and the like. The compressor 3 is a hermetic electric compressor having a compression mechanism (refrigerant compression unit) having a sliding portion and a motor (electric motor) for driving the compression mechanism built in a hermetic container.

The indoor units 2a, 2b, and … include: indoor heat exchangers 9a, 9b, …; reducers (indoor expansion valves; expansion units) 10a, 10b, … composed of electronic expansion valves, temperature-type expansion valves, and the like; and air blowers 11a, 11b, … for ventilating the indoor heat exchangers 9a, 9b, ….

The refrigerant composition and the refrigerating machine oil according to the present embodiment are sealed in a refrigeration cycle constituting the multi-split air conditioner for a building.

When cooling the inside of a room, the high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant gas adiabatically compressed by the compressor 3 passes through the discharge pipe 3a and the four-way valve (switching valve) 4, and is cooled by the outdoor heat exchanger 5 serving as a condenser to become a high-pressure liquid refrigerant. The refrigerant is decompressed and expanded by the decompressor 6, becomes a gas-liquid two-phase refrigerant (low-temperature low-pressure liquid containing a small amount of gas), flows into the indoor heat exchangers 9a, 9b, and … serving as evaporators, extracts heat from the indoor air, evaporates, and becomes a low-temperature low-pressure gas refrigerant. The gas refrigerant passes through the four-way valve 4 again and enters the accumulator 7, and a low-temperature low-pressure liquid refrigerant that is not separated and evaporated in the indoor heat exchangers 9a, 9b, and … is separated in the accumulator 7, and the low-temperature low-pressure gas refrigerant is sucked into the compressor 3.

Hereinafter, the same freezing cycle is repeated.

When heating the indoor space, the four-way valve 4 is switched so that the high-temperature and high-pressure gas refrigerant flows toward the indoor heat exchangers 9a, 9b, and …. In this case, the indoor heat exchangers 9a and 9b are condensing units, and the outdoor heat exchanger 5 is an evaporating unit.

Example of application to refrigerator

Fig. 2 is a view showing a refrigeration cycle configuration of an example of a refrigerator as a refrigeration cycle apparatus using the refrigerant composition (mixed refrigerant) and the refrigerator oil according to the present embodiment. The refrigerator includes a heat source device (outdoor unit) 12 and a cooling unit 13 such as a showcase.

The heat source unit 12 includes a compressor 14, a condenser (heat source side heat exchanger) 15, a subcooler 16, reducers (expansion units) 17 and 18 including electronic expansion valves and the like, an accumulator 19, a blower 35 for ventilating the condenser 15, and the like. Further, a subcooling refrigerant circuit (economizer circuit) 20 is provided, that is: a part of the liquid refrigerant discharged from the condenser 15 is branched and decompressed by the decompressor 18, and then flows into the subcooler 16, thereby further cooling the main flow of refrigerant flowing into the subcooler 16.

The compressor 14 is a hermetic electric compressor having a compression mechanism (refrigerant compression unit) having a sliding portion and a motor (electric motor) for driving the compression mechanism built in a sealed container.

The cooling unit 13 is provided with an evaporator (use side heat exchanger) 21 and a blower 22 for ventilating the evaporator 21.

Further, the refrigerant composition and the refrigerator oil of the present embodiment are sealed in a refrigeration cycle constituting the refrigerator.

The high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant gas adiabatically compressed by the compressor 14 is discharged from the discharge pipe 14a, flows into the condenser 15, is cooled, and is condensed. A part of the high-pressure liquid refrigerant discharged from the condenser 15 branches into the subcooling refrigerant circuit 20, and the remaining main flow of the liquid refrigerant is further subcooled by the subcooler 16, expanded by the decompressor 17, and sent into the cooling unit 13 as a low-temperature low-pressure gas-liquid two-phase refrigerant containing a small amount of gas. The refrigerant sent into the cooling unit 13 takes heat from the air by the evaporator 21, turns into a low-temperature low-pressure gas refrigerant, passes through the accumulator 19, and returns to the compressor 14. Hereinafter, the same freezing cycle is repeated.

In the compressor 14 for a refrigerator, the compression ratio of the refrigerant is as high as about 10 to 20, and the refrigerant gas is likely to be at a high temperature. Therefore, a part of the liquid refrigerant from the condenser 12 branches into the subcooling refrigerant circuit 20, passes through the pressure reducer 18 such as a capillary tube, becomes a low-temperature low-pressure liquid refrigerant containing gas, and further subcools the high-pressure liquid refrigerant that becomes the main flow in the subcooler 16. The refrigerant branched into the subcooling refrigerant circuit 20 passes through the subcooling device 16, and then returns to the intermediate-pressure portion of the compressor 14, and the temperature of the sucked refrigerant is lowered to lower the discharge temperature.

In the example shown in fig. 2, an example in which the refrigerant in the subcooling refrigerant circuit 20 is injected into the intermediate-pressure portion of the compressor 14 is described, but the refrigerant may be injected into the suction side of the compressor 14.

< construction of compressor >

As the compressor 3 used in the air conditioner and the compressor 14 used in the refrigerator, a hermetic electric compressor is used. An example of the hermetic motor compressor will be described with reference to fig. 3. Fig. 3 is a longitudinal sectional view showing an example of a scroll compressor which is a hermetic electric compressor.

As shown in fig. 3, the compressors 3 and 14 also include: a fixed scroll 23 having a spiral fixed winding 23a provided perpendicularly to an end plate, an orbiting scroll 24 having a spiral orbiting winding 24a having substantially the same shape as the fixed scroll 23, a frame 25 supporting the orbiting scroll 24, a crankshaft 26 for orbiting the orbiting scroll 24, a motor 27, and a sealed container 28 having the above-mentioned components built therein.

The fixed winding 23a and the rotating winding 24a are engaged with each other in a face-to-face manner to form a compression mechanism. The orbiting scroll 24 is made to perform a rotational motion by the crankshaft 26, and accordingly, the compression chamber 29 located at the outermost side among the compression chambers 29 formed between the fixed scroll 23 and the orbiting scroll 24 gradually moves toward the center portions of the fixed scroll 23 and the orbiting scroll 24 while gradually reducing the volume according to the rotational motion.

When the compression chamber 29 reaches the vicinity of the center portions of the fixed scroll 23 and the orbiting scroll 24, the compression chamber 29 communicates with the discharge port 30, and the compressed refrigerant gas is discharged into the closed casing 28. The compressed gas discharged into the sealed container 28 is discharged to the refrigeration cycle outside the compressors 3 and 14 from a discharge pipe 31 provided in the sealed container 28.

The compressors 3 and 14 perform a compression operation by rotating the crankshaft 26 at a constant speed or at a rotational speed corresponding to a voltage controlled by an inverter (not shown). An oil reservoir 36 is provided below the motor 27, and oil in the oil reservoir 36 passes through an oil hole 32 provided in the crankshaft 26 due to a pressure difference and is supplied to a sliding portion between the orbiting scroll 24 and the crankshaft 26, a main bearing 33 constituting a main shaft portion supporting the crankshaft 26, a rolling bearing constituting a sub bearing 34 supporting a sub shaft portion of the crankshaft 26, and the like for lubrication.
