Background

The blast furnace tuyere opening is generally carried out in a blast furnace production state, and a blast furnace operator can judge the tuyere opening process according to comprehensive smelting parameters such as air quantity, air pressure, air speed and the like in the blast furnace. The air opening is a technology of breaking stemming and light bricks for blocking the air opening to form holes, and then blowing the air opening completely by high-speed and high-pressure hot air fed by a blowing pipe.

At present, the method generally adopted by domestic blast furnace tuyere opening is as follows: after tapping and blocking the blast furnace, a plumber opens a blow pipe sight hole cover plate at the rear end of a tuyere blow pipe, inserts a drill steel into the blow pipe for stokehole workers, strikes the drill steel by a hammer, breaks stemming and light bricks for blocking the tuyere to form a channel, extracts the drill steel and rapidly closes the blow pipe sight hole cover plate.

When stemming blocking the air port is poked through the light bricks, airflow in the furnace flows back into the blowpipe, so that high-pressure high-speed hot air blown out from the sight hole of the blowpipe is mixed with coal gas with a certain content, and serious harm is brought to operating personnel.
