1. A dual-bearing reel is provided with:

a spool for winding the fishing line;

a reel unit that rotatably supports the spool and has an opening through which the spool can pass in a direction of a rotation axis of the spool;

a spool support portion that is detachably coupled to the opening side of the reel unit and rotatably supports a shaft of the spool on the opening side;

a braking device for braking the rotation of the spool; and

a mode selection unit provided on the spool support unit and configured to select a braking mode of the braking device by using a rotational position of an operation member;

the operating member is supported by a support shaft so as to be rotatable about a position that is offset from a center of a major diameter of a projection of the operating member in an axial direction of the spool, the support shaft being located away from a center of an outer shape around a rotation axis of the spool, the outer shape being formed with the reel unit on an opening side for attaching and detaching the spool,

the angular range of the rotational position of the operating member at which the braking mode is selected is the following range: the angle between the support shaft and the center of the outer shape is 90 DEG or less on both sides of a line connecting the support shaft and the center of the outer shape, with a position from the support shaft toward the center of the major axis toward the center of the outer shape of the reel unit as a base point.

2. The dual-bearing reel of claim 1,

the operating means includes:

the support shaft;

a knob portion coupled to the support shaft; and

a selection member fixed to the support shaft, the selection member facing the knob portion with a space therebetween in a direction of the support shaft;

the support shaft is rotatably supported by the spool support portion between the knob portion and the selection member.

3. The dual-bearing reel of claim 2,

the mode selection unit includes a dial that is fixed to the spool support unit separately from the spool support unit and that displays the braking mode selected by the rotational position of the knob,

the support shaft of the operating member is rotatably supported between the knob portion and the selection member via the dial.

Technical Field

The present invention relates to a dual-bearing reel that can select a braking mode of a braking device that brakes rotation of a spool.

Background

In a dual-bearing reel, particularly a bait cast reel using bait for casting a fishing line, a spool brake device for preventing a reaction force at the time of casting is provided. As a spool braking device, a technique is known in which braking is performed by electronically controlling rotation of a spool in a wire unwinding direction.

In the casting of a dual-bearing reel, the timing and amount of the reaction force generated vary depending on the type of fishing line, the type of device attached to the fishing line, the wind direction, and the like. Some electronically controlled brake devices are configured to have a plurality of braking modes according to these characteristics, and a user can select a braking mode. For example, patent document 1 describes a configuration in which an eight-step brake mode can be selected by switching the rotational position of a knob by a disk-shaped brake.

Disclosure of Invention

[ problems to be solved by the invention ]

In an electronic control brake device in which a brake mode is selected using a rotational position of a brake switching knob, a knob body whose rotational position is detected has a circular shape and has the same shape as a brake switching knob that is an operation section exposed to the outside. Therefore, a circular escape range is required for the frame and the reel unit around the brake switching knob. In order to set the circular range occupied by the rotation of the brake switch knob, the outer shapes of the frame and the reel unit must be increased accordingly.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to reduce the external shape of a dual-bearing reel on the side of an operating member for selecting a braking mode.

[ means for solving problems ]

A dual-bearing reel according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a spool for winding the fishing line; a reel unit that rotatably supports a spool and has an opening through which the spool can pass in a direction along a rotation axis of the spool; a spool support portion detachably coupled to an opening side of the reel unit, and rotatably supporting a spool shaft on the opening side; a braking device for braking the rotation of the spool; and a mode selection unit provided on the spool support unit for selecting a braking mode of the braking device by using a rotational position of the operation member. The operating member is supported by a support shaft so as to be rotatable about a position that is offset in one direction from the center of the major diameter of the operating member in the axial direction of the spool, the position being spaced from the center of the outer shape around the rotation axis of the spool, in which a reel unit on the side of an opening for attaching and detaching the spool is formed, and the angular range of the rotational position of the operating member for selecting the braking mode is: the angle between the support shaft and the center of the outer shape is 90 DEG or less on both sides of a line connecting the support shaft and the center of the outer shape, with a position from the support shaft toward the center of the major axis toward the center of the outer shape of the reel unit as a base point.

Preferably, the operation member comprises: the support shaft, the knob portion coupled to the support shaft, and the selection member fixed to the support shaft, the selection member facing the knob portion with a space in the direction of the support shaft. The support shaft is rotatably supported by the spool support portion between the knob portion and the selection member.

Preferably, the mode selecting section includes a dial that is fixed to the spool support section separately from the spool support section and that displays the braking mode selected by the rotational position of the knob section, and the support shaft of the operating member is rotatably supported between the knob section and the selecting member via the dial.

[ Effect of the invention ]

According to the present invention, the operating member is rotatably supported by a support shaft that is offset to one side from the center of the major diameter projected in the axial direction of the spool, and the angular range of the rotational position at which the braking mode is selected is: the reel profile on the operating member side can be reduced because the angle between the support shaft and the profile center is 90 ° or less on both sides of the line connecting the support shaft and the profile center, with the position of the line from the support shaft toward the center of the major axis toward the center of the profile of the reel body as a base point.
