Acute toxicity of penaeus vannamei and nile tilapia was studied under laboratory conditions. Late stage litopenaeus vannamei larvae 15(PL15) and nile tilapia larvae (average 1 inch) were tested by logarithmic method at 6 concentration gradients (5 replicates per concentration). Each replicate consisted of 10 test animals, which were placed in a 2 liter glass container equipped with an aerator for observation. The results show that the concentrations of the late stage larvae 15 of the penaeus vannamei and the nile tilapia larvae which die 100% in 48 hours are 3.47ppm and 1.51ppm respectively, and the 48-hour LC50 concentration of the invention for the late stage larvae 15 of the penaeus vannamei and the nile tilapia larvae is 2.6276 ppm (2.4513-2.8149) and 1.2004ppm (1.1606-1.2406). For late stage larvae of Penaeus vannamei Boone, the safety period of 3.47ppm of the treated water of the present invention was 3 days under ventilation conditions. However, the safe range for nile tilapia larvae was at a concentration of 1.51ppm, and no mortality was observed after day 2 preparation. In comparison, the concentrations of the present invention at which late stage larvae 15 of Penaeus vannamei and Nile tilapia larvae did not die within 48 hours were 2.00 and 1.00 ppm, respectively. The results show that the method has a faster water treatment scheme in the culture process or the toxicity of the prawns and the fishes is lower when the prawns and the fishes are directly used.
