Technical Field

The invention belongs to the technical field of medical instruments, is applied to minimally invasive rib fracture reduction internal fixation, and particularly relates to a rib reduction fixator.

Background

Rib fractures are very common in trauma, and most rib fractures are accompanied by simple chest trauma or compound trauma. According to WTA statistical data, the death rate caused by rib fracture and concomitant injury is up to 10% -20%. The failure of timely reduction and fixation after rib fracture is an extremely important factor causing pain of patients with rib fracture. Many elderly patients may suffer from secondary pneumonia, atelectasis, respiratory failure due to pain caused by rib fracture, and severe mechanical ventilation or even tracheotomy is required to be saved.

The traditional internal fixation for rib fracture reduction is large in surgical incision, usually 20-30 cm; the number of incisions is large, and 2 or more incisions are often needed for multiple rib fractures; the muscle is cut off, which is mostly caused by a longitudinal incision; long recovery time after operation, usually more than 2 weeks in hospital; the postoperative pain and the discomfort of the sour and numb are obvious and long in duration, and the postoperative life quality of the patients is affected. Therefore, the traditional internal fixation for rib fracture incision and reduction is only suitable for patients with severe flail chest, respiratory failure caused by rib fracture, pain which can not be controlled by non-operative reduction, and the like. And the traditional surgical instrument is applied in the surgical process, namely the traditional surgical instrument is difficult to fix, inconvenient to operate, time-consuming and labor-consuming, prolongs the surgical time and increases the bleeding volume in the surgery.
