1. A lawn mower, wherein,

this lawn mower includes: a body having a wheel;

a cutter provided to the body for trimming grass growing on the ground; and

a grass collection box detachably attached to the body, the grass collection box collecting grass cut by the cutter,

the grass collecting box has a discharge port for discharging the collected grass in a state where the grass collecting box is detached from the main body,

the body has a movable cover that closes the discharge port of the grass collecting box in a state where the grass collecting box is attached to the body.

2. The lawn mower of claim 1,

the movable cover is connected to the main body so as to be capable of swinging between a closed position for closing the discharge port and an open position for opening the discharge port.

3. The lawn mower of claim 2,

when the movable lid is at the closing position, the movable lid engages with the grass collecting box to prohibit the grass collecting box from being detached from the main body,

when the movable cover is in the open position, the movable cover is not engaged with the grass collecting box, and the grass collecting box is allowed to be detached from the main body.

4. The mower of claim 2 or 3,

this lawn mower still includes:

an urging member that urges the movable lid from the closing position toward the opening position; and

and a locking mechanism for locking the movable cover with respect to the grass-collecting box when the movable cover is in the closing position.

5. The lawn mower of claim 4,

the locking mechanism has an unlocking operation part operated by a user to unlock the movable cover and the grass collecting box.

6. The mower of claim 5 wherein

The grass-collecting box is provided with a handle held by a user,

the unlocking operation portion is provided at the handle or in the vicinity of the handle.

7. The lawn mower of any of claims 1-6,

the body includes a cutter unit provided with the cutter and a handle unit swingably connected to the cutter unit with respect to the cutter unit,

the grass-collecting box is detachably attached to the handle unit.

8. The lawn mower of claim 7,

the body has a grass collecting duct for guiding grass cut by the cutter toward the grass collecting box,

at least a part of the grass collecting pipeline is arranged on the handle unit.

9. The lawn mower of claim 8,

the main body further comprises a cleaning opening provided at an intermediate position of the grass collecting duct and a movable cover for opening and closing the cleaning opening,

when the grass collecting box is mounted on the main body, the grass collecting box is clamped with the movable cover, the movable cover is fixed at a position for blocking the cleaning opening,

when the grass collecting box is detached from the main body, the engagement between the grass collecting box and the movable cover is released, and the movable cover can open the cleaning opening.

This description relates to a lawn mower.

Background

Patent document 1 discloses a lawn mower. This lawn mower includes: a body having a wheel; a cutter provided to the main body; and a grass collection box for collecting grass cut by the cutter. The grass collecting box can be assembled and disassembled relative to the main body, and a user can detach the grass collecting box from the main body and remove grass collected in the grass collecting box.

Disclosure of Invention

Problems to be solved by the invention

A cover or a door for discharging the collected grass can be provided at the grass collecting box. With this configuration, the user can quickly remove grass in the grass collecting box by opening the cover or the door. However, if the cover or the door is provided in the grass-collecting box, the cover or the door may become an obstacle when the user removes the grass from the grass-collecting box. The present specification provides a technique that can solve or reduce such problems and easily remove grass in a grass collecting box.

Means for solving the problems

The mowing disclosed in the present specification includes: a body having a wheel; a cutter provided to the main body for trimming grass growing on the ground; and a grass collection box detachably attached to the body, the grass collection box collecting grass cut by the cutter. The grass collecting box has a discharge port for discharging the collected grass in a state where the grass collecting box is detached from the main body. The body has a movable cover that closes the discharge opening of the grass collecting box in a state where the grass collecting box is attached to the body.

In the above configuration, the movable cover for closing the discharge port of the grass collecting box is provided not in the grass collecting box but in the main body. When the grass-collecting box is detached from the main body, the movable cover is left on the main body. Therefore, when the user removes the grass in the grass collecting box, the movable cover does not obstruct the grass. The user can easily remove grass in the grass-collecting box.

Detailed Description

In one embodiment, the movable lid may be swingable between a closing position for closing the discharge port and an opening position for opening the discharge port. However, the connection structure between the main body and the movable cover is not particularly limited. As another embodiment, the movable lid may be connected to the main body so as to be slidable between the closed position and the open position.

In one embodiment, when the movable lid is in the closing position, the movable lid may be engaged with the grass-collecting box to prohibit the grass-collecting box from being detached from the main body. In addition to this, or alternatively, when the movable lid is in the open position, the movable lid may not be engaged with the grass-collecting box, allowing the grass-collecting box to be detached from the main body. With this configuration, the user can fix the grass-collecting box to the main body or release the fixation of the grass-collecting box only by opening and closing the movable cover.

In one embodiment, the lawn mower may further include: an urging member that urges the movable lid from the closing position toward the opening position; and a locking mechanism for locking the movable cover with respect to the grass-collecting box when the movable cover is at the closing position. With this configuration, the user can open the movable lid only by unlocking the lock mechanism. Further, when the movable lid is not correctly locked, the movable lid automatically moves to the open position, and thus it is possible to notify the user that the movable lid is not correctly locked.

In the above embodiment, the lock mechanism may have an unlocking operation portion that is operated by a user to unlock the movable lid from the grass collecting box. With this configuration, the user can unlock the lock mechanism by operating the unlock operation unit, and can easily open the movable lid.

In the above embodiment, the grass-collecting box may have a handle to be held by a user. In this case, the unlocking operation portion may be provided at or near the handle. With this configuration, when the user removes the grass collecting box from the main body, the user can release the lock of the lock mechanism while gripping the handle of the grass collecting box.

In one embodiment, the body may also include a cutter unit provided with a cutter, and a handle unit swingably connected to the cutter unit with respect to the cutter unit. In this case, the grass-collecting box may be detachably attached to the handle unit. With this configuration, since the grass-collecting box is disposed along the handle unit, the grass-collecting box can be designed to be relatively large along the longitudinal direction of the handle unit.

In the above embodiment, the main body may further include a grass collecting duct for guiding grass cut by the cutter to the grass collecting box. In this case, at least a part of the grass collecting duct may be provided in the handle unit. According to this configuration, grass cut by the cutter can be reliably accommodated in the grass-collecting box attached to the handle unit.

In the above embodiment, the main body may further include a cleaning port provided at an intermediate position of the grass collecting duct, and a movable cover for opening and closing the cleaning port. In this case, when the grass-collecting box is attached to the main body, the grass-collecting box is preferably engaged with the movable cover, and the movable cover is preferably fixed to a position where the cleaning opening is closed. Further, it is preferable that when the grass collecting box is detached from the main body, the engagement between the grass collecting box and the movable cover is released, and the movable cover can open the cleaning opening. With this configuration, the user can fix or release the movable cover by attaching or detaching the grass collecting box to or from the main body.
