The method comprises the following steps: adding ropinirole hydrochloride containing impurity A monopropyl ropinirole into water, adding organic solvent, stirring at room temperature to dissolve, adding alkali, stirring, standing for layering, removing water layer, optionally drying the organic layer with anhydrous magnesium sulfate, filtering, adding acyl chloride or acid anhydride into the organic layer, stirring, concentrating the organic layer to dryness, adding organic solvent into the obtained oily matter, adding concentrated hydrochloric acid, and stirring to obtain ropinirole hydrochloride. The method can effectively remove the impurity A in the ropinirole hydrochloride, and can obtain the ropinirole hydrochloride with better yield and purity, thereby controlling the impurity A to ensure that the purity of the product reaches the medicinal standard.)
