When the marine horizontal centrifugal pump operates, the rotating speed of a dynamic ring of the mechanical seal is between 9ms and 16ms, and under such high linear speed, if a dynamic ring friction pair and a static ring friction pair are not cooled necessarily, the temperature can be increased rapidly, and the excessive temperature leads to burning loss of the dynamic ring seal pair and the static ring seal pair. Even if the friction pair is not burnt by high temperature, once the friction pair is contacted with cooling water at normal temperature, the friction pair is easy to crack due to large temperature difference between the friction pair and the cooling water, so that the mechanical sealing element fails, and leaked media enter along the pump shaft to easily cause motor burning accidents.
