Technical Field

The present invention relates to an air conditioning system having a filter shaft holder (filter shaft) in which a replaceable filter can be held, and to an air treatment device, preferably an ionization device and/or a fragrance device and/or an ozonation device, which is arranged to be installed and fixed in the air conditioning system.

Background

The air treatment device is intended in particular to be subsequently installed in a filter shaft holder present in an air conditioning system.

The air treatment device of the air conditioning system or the air treatment device subsequently integrated into the air conditioning system is adapted to influence the air flowing through the air conditioning system in some way. To this end, the air treatment device may in particular be in the form of a fragrance device, an ionization device or an ozonation device, and is in particular used for disinfecting air conditioning systems.

Disclosure of Invention

Starting from the prior art described above, the invention is based on the object of providing an air conditioning system and an air treatment device integrated into the air conditioning system, by means of which the installation of the air treatment device should be simple and stable over time and requires low financial expenditure. Furthermore, even after the integration of the air treatment device, it must still be possible to guide the filter of the air conditioning system into and out of the filter shaft holder of the air conditioning system in a simple manner.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by an air treatment device arranged in an air conditioning system, which air treatment device can be introduced into a filter shaft holder through a service opening provided in an inlet region of the filter shaft holder and can be mounted and fixed on at least one edge delimiting the service opening of the filter shaft holder.

The geometry of the air treatment device is designed such that the air treatment device can be installed in the air conditioning system through a service opening of a filter shaft holder present in the air conditioning system. In existing air conditioning systems, the replaceable filter, which is usually in the form of a fiber filter, of the air conditioning system must first be removed for this purpose. After removal of the replaceable filter, the air treatment device is introduced into the filter shaft holder of the air conditioning system through the service opening. The spatial fixing of the air treatment device inside the air conditioning system is effected on the edge of the service opening delimiting the filter shaft holder.

According to an alternative embodiment, it is of course conceivable for the air treatment device to be mounted and fixed on two edges which are perpendicular to one another and which delimit the service opening.

It is essential for the implementation of the integration of the air conditioning system according to the invention and the air treatment device according to the invention into the air conditioning system that the air treatment device can be mounted on the inlet region of the filter shaft carrier of the air conditioning system, so that a replaceable filter can be guided through the air treatment device into the filter shaft carrier and out of the filter shaft carrier via the inlet region of the filter shaft carrier.

The air treatment device is advantageously fastened by means of at least one metal clip on the edge delimiting the service opening of the filter shaft holder.

If electrical energy has to be provided for the operation of the air treatment device to be integrated into the air conditioning system, it is advantageous if at least one metal clip is in the form of an electrical contact and a conductive element for supplying the air treatment device with electrical energy.

The installation of the air treatment device according to the invention in an air conditioning system or in an air conditioning system according to the invention can be realized more simply if at least one metal clip is mounted and fixed on the air treatment device before the air treatment device is mounted on the inlet region of the filter shaft carrier of the air conditioning system.

Advantageously, at least one metal clip may be injection-moulded into the base of the air treatment device and the base may be fixed bearing against the inner face of the air conditioning system, which forms the edge delimiting the service opening of the filter shaft holder.

In order to ensure a long-term spatial fixing of the air treatment device relative to the air conditioning system, it is advantageous if the at least one metal clip is formed from spring steel.

The air treatment device according to the invention may be in the form of an ionization device and/or a fragrance device and/or an ozonization device.

If the at least one metal clip is U-shaped and fixes the air-handling base on the inlet region of the filter shaft support by fitting straddling the edge delimiting the service opening of the filter shaft support, a stable spatial fixing of the air-handling device inside the air-conditioning system can be achieved, which can be achieved with very few and simple-to-carry-out method steps.

In order to ensure that the exchangeable filter of the air conditioning system can still be easily guided into and out of the filter shaft holder after the air treatment device has been installed in the area of the service opening of the air duct of the air conditioning system inside the air conditioning system, it is advantageous if the material thickness of the at least one metal clip does not exceed 0.8mm, preferably 0.5mm or less. The mentioned material thicknesses can be easily met, in particular in the case of metal clamps comprising spring steel, in order to ensure a long-term secure spatial fixing of the air treatment device inside the air conditioning system.

The key material properties of the metal clip, such as stability and resilience, vary only slightly over the temperature range that occurs during operation of the air conditioning system, which is typically between-40 degrees celsius and +105 degrees celsius.

In order to ensure the relevant function when using the metal clip as a contact and line element for the power supply, a cavity in the base material, usually plastic, which receives the metal clip can be provided in the base region of the air treatment device.

Drawings

The invention is explained in more detail below using embodiments and with reference to the drawing, in which fig. 1 shows the regions of an embodiment of an air conditioning system according to the invention that are critical to the invention.

Detailed Description

The embodiment shown in fig. 1, which uses an air conditioning system 1 according to the invention, and which takes up the areas critical to the invention, has a wall 2, which wall 2 delimits the interior of the air conditioning system from the outside and, in the schematic representation in fig. 1, shows its inner face facing the interior of the air conditioning system 1.

The air conditioning system 1 shown in fig. 1 comprises a filter shaft holder 3 to which a service opening 4 formed in a wall 2 of the air conditioning system 1 is assigned. Replaceable filters (not shown) which may be, for example, fibrous filters, may be held in the filter pedestal 3.

The air treatment device 5 is integrated into the air conditioning system 1 shown in fig. 1. In the case of the air conditioning system 1 shown in the figures, it is also possible to subsequently install the air treatment device 5 into the air conditioning system 1.

The air treatment device 5 may be in the form of a fragrance device, an ionization device or an ozonation device and is used, for example, for disinfecting the air conditioning system 1. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the air treatment device is in the form of an ionization device 5. In general, the ionization device 5 is intended to increase the filtration and separation capacity of an exchangeable filter (not shown in the figures), usually in the form of a fiber filter. The operation of the ionization device 5 in the air conditioning system 1 provides electrostatic charge to the fibers of the filter. This results in polarization being formed on the fibers of the filter. Some particles, such as dust, bacteria, viruses, pollen, etc. present in the air flowing through the air conditioning system 1 are also charged. Due to the attraction of the opposite charges, the charged particles are better deposited in the filter of the air conditioning system 1 in the form of a fibrous filter. A second effect brought about by the increased filtering and separating capacity of the filter in the form of a fiber filter of the air conditioning system 1 is that free electrons, charged particles and water molecules form larger particle agglomerates, which, due to the enlargement of their geometry, can be better deposited in the filter in the form of a fiber filter of the air conditioning system 1.

As can be seen in fig. 1, the ionization device 5 can be introduced into the filter shaft holder 3 through a service opening 4 provided in the inlet region of the filter shaft holder 3 and through the wall 2 of the air conditioning system 1.

In the exemplary embodiment of the air conditioning system 1 shown, the spatial fixing and mounting of the ionization device 5 inside the air conditioning system 1 is achieved by means of two metal clamps 6.

In the shown exemplary embodiment of the air conditioning system 1, its ionization device 5 has a base 7, to which base 7 an ionization unit 8 of the ionization device 5 is attached.

As shown in fig. 1, the base 7 is supported against the inner face of the wall 2 of the air conditioning system 1. The fixing of the base 7 and thus the air treatment device 5 in the form of an ionization device on the air conditioning system 1 is carried out by means of the two metal clips 6 described above, which in the exemplary embodiment shown of the air conditioning system 1 according to the invention are U-shaped. Two metal clips 6 are fixed at one end to a base 7 of the ionization device 5. The base 7 of the ionization device 5 is fixed to the wall 2 of the air-conditioning system by means of a U-shaped metal clip 6, the U-shaped metal clip 6 fitting astride an edge 9 delimiting the service opening 4 of the filter 2 and thus fastening the base 7 to the wall 2 of the air-conditioning system 1. The prestress of the metal clip 6 is selected such that a stable fixing of the air treatment device or ionization device 5 on the wall 2 of the air conditioning system 1 is ensured over a long period of time.

Alternatively, it is of course possible that the air treatment device or the ionization device 5 is mounted and fixed on two edges that are perpendicular to each other and delimit the service opening 4.

In the shown exemplary embodiment of the air conditioning system 1 according to the invention, two metal clips 6 have been fastened to the base 7 of the ionization device 5 before the ionization device 5 is mounted on the inlet region of the filter shaft mount 2 of the air conditioning system. For this purpose, the metal clip 6 can be injection-molded into the base 7, which is usually produced from plastic. The wall 2 of the air-conditioning system 1 is then clamped between the two legs of the U-shaped metal clamp 6, one leg of which is in each case injection-moulded into the base 7 of the ionization device 5, so that a spatial fixing of the ionization device is achieved.

If the air treatment device is in the form of an ionization device 5 and therefore has to be connected to a power supply, as is the case in the illustrated exemplary embodiment of the air conditioning system 1 according to the invention, the metal clip 6 can be in the form of an electrical contact and a conducting element, by means of which the ionization unit 8 of the ionization device 5 can be supplied with power.

The metal clip 6 is formed from a suitable spring steel, the material thickness of which is relatively small. In any case, the material thickness of the metal clip 6 is so small that a replaceable filter (not shown in fig. 1) of the air conditioning system 1 can be introduced into the filter shaft holder 3 and removed from the filter shaft holder 3 through the inlet region of the filter shaft holder 3 via the ionization device 5. This can be easily achieved in the case of an air conditioning system 1 according to the invention, since the metal clip 6 can be realized with a relatively small material thickness, which may be, for example, 0.5mm or less, but the prestress of the metal clip 6 is sufficient to ensure a durable fixing of the ionization device 5 on the wall 2 of the air conditioning system 1 for a long time.

The air treatment device 5, which in particular can then also be integrated into the air conditioning system 1, is designed with regard to its geometry such that it can be introduced into the air conditioning system 1 through the existing service opening 4 and installed at its point of use. For this purpose, the replaceable filter (not shown in fig. 1) of the air conditioning system 1 must first be removed from the filter shaft mount 3. The air treatment device 5 is then introduced into the filter shaft holder 3 of the air conditioning system 1 through the service opening 4. The air treatment device 5 is then pushed to one side inside the air conditioning system 1 so that the wall 2 of the air conditioning system is held between the legs of the two U-shaped metal clips 6. As soon as the bottom of the metal clip 6 bears against the edge 9 of the service opening 4, the air treatment device 5 is spatially fixed on the wall 2 and thus inside the air conditioning system 1 for a long time. The replaceable filter can easily be introduced into the filter shaft holder 3 through the service opening 4, the size of which is minimized after the air treatment device 5 has been installed.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the air conditioning system 1 or the region thereof shown in fig. 1 comprises air guiding elements 10, 11, 12, wherein the two air guiding elements 10 and 11 are attached on the air conditioning system side and the air guiding element 12 is attached on the air treatment device side.

The air treatment device 5 is arranged upstream of a filter (not shown in fig. 1) in the flow direction of the air flowing through the air conditioning system 1.
