Background

The riser heat preservation is used in the precision casting industry, and the common method is that a riser heat preservation agent is added at the riser position after casting in the casting process, and under the heat action of molten metal, an oxidant in the riser heat preservation agent provides oxygen to oxidize and heat a reducing agent, so that the solidification time of the molten metal in the riser is prolonged. Under the action of different heat insulating agents, the riser part is contracted into a dish-shaped flat bottom or a hemispherical bottom, namely the reducing mouth of the riser is approximately U-shaped. Obviously prolonging the top crusting time of the riser, enabling the molten steel in the riser to be under the action of atmospheric pressure for a long time, improving the feeding efficiency of the riser, being beneficial to floating up of gas and impurities in a casting, achieving the purpose of purifying the molten steel and further obtaining a qualified steel piece.

At present, a riser heat-insulating agent used in the actual production process generally comprises a heating agent, an oxidant, a combustion improver, a refractory filler, a heat-insulating material and the like. The exothermic agent is inflammable, high in calorific value and powdery, aluminum, magnesium, aluminum-magnesium alloy, ferrosilicon, silicon calcium and the like are generally selected as exothermic agent materials, and the exothermic agent materials are added at a riser during production, so that the exothermic agent is rapidly combusted, a large amount of smoke is generated, the operation environment of a site is influenced, and the requirement of green production is not met. In addition, the exothermic agent made of the above materials causes the price of the riser insulation agent to increase, and enterprises need to invest high cost when using the high-quality riser insulation agent. Based on the above, the invention designs a novel riser heat insulating agent to solve the above problems.

Disclosure of Invention

The invention aims to provide an environment-friendly riser heat-insulating agent and a preparation method thereof, the riser heat-insulating agent has a good heat-insulating effect, does not generate smoke in the using process, improves the operating environment, realizes green and pollution-free production, and has the advantages of simple preparation method, easiness in operation, environment-friendly and cheap raw materials and reduction in production cost.

Detailed Description

The present application will be described in detail with reference to examples, but the present application is not limited to these examples.

1. Preparation and performance evaluation of environment-friendly riser heat-insulating agent

The environment-friendly riser heat-insulating agent disclosed by the invention is explored through experiments, can form a heat-insulating layer at the riser position, prolongs the solidification time of liquid metal in the riser, and has good melting point, volume density and heat conductivity; the physical parameters of the ingredients involved in the various examples and comparative examples of the present invention are shown in table 1 below.

According to one aspect of the invention, the preparation method of the environment-friendly riser heat-insulating agent comprises the following specific steps:

(1) adding diatomite, expanded perlite and mullite powder into a mixer, and uniformly stirring to obtain a mixture;

(2) and roasting the mixture at 180-250 ℃ for 3-5 h, and cooling to room temperature to obtain the environment-friendly riser heat-insulating agent.

The preparation methods of the heat insulating agents of the above examples 1 to 5 and comparative examples 1 to 5 are the same as above.

According to another aspect of the present invention, test pieces of the same material, such as carbon steel, martensitic stainless steel, austenitic stainless steel, and carbon tool steel, are selected, the same process parameters are adopted before casting, the heat retaining agents of examples 1 to 5 and comparative examples 1 to 5 are respectively added to the riser position after casting, and the heat retaining agent of each example or comparative example tests 2 cast trees, and the results are shown in table 3:

As can be seen from Table 3, the insulating agents of examples 3 and 5 have no smoke dust when used, are easy to use, and some produced products have shrinkage cavity defects and do not meet the use requirements. The heat insulating agents of the embodiments 1, 2 and 4 have no smoke dust when in use, are easy to use, produce products without shrinkage cavity defects, have the lowest cost of the heat insulating agent of the embodiment 4, and comprehensively consider to determine the heat insulating agent of the embodiment 4 as the best matching scheme. Compared with the embodiment 4, the heat insulating agent of the comparative example 1 and the comparative example 3 has higher cost, the heat insulating agent of the comparative example 2 generates smoke when in use, the high-purity aluminum silicate refractory fiber in the heat insulating agent of the comparative example 4 is floccule, and the addition amount is not easy to control when in use, so the heat insulating agent is not easy to use, and the heat insulating agent of the comparative example 5 generates smoke when in use, so the product quality is not good enough.

The feeder in the production process using the insulating agent of example 4 is shown in fig. 1, and no smoke is generated; the riser was cleaned as shown in figure 3 and was defect free.

The feeder in the production process using the insulating agent of comparative example 5 was as shown in FIG. 2, and smoke was generated; the riser state after cleaning is shown in fig. 4, and has shrinkage cavity defects.

2. Example 4 evaluation of Effect of environmental-friendly riser insulation agent on batch trial

The environment-friendly riser heat-insulating agent comprises 40 parts of diatomite, 10 parts of expanded perlite and 50 parts of mullite powder. The heat insulating agent is tested by batch production, smoke dust and peculiar smell are avoided in the using process, and the produced product has no shrinkage cavity defect and meets the requirement of batch use.

The production of more than 800 products in 1 year covers various materials such as high-temperature alloy, austenitic stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, carbon steel, low alloy steel and the like, and the products produced by the novel scheme have no obvious difference compared with the quality before use, thereby meeting the requirement of batch use.
