Technical Field

The present invention relates to a method for converting measured color values of various input devices into measured color values of a dedicated color measuring device under various lighting conditions by using specific color charts of various media and various colorants, converting measured color values obtained by one (scanner or the like) based on various input devices into la b values, converting measured color values obtained by the other (scanner or the like) based on various input devices into la b values obtained by the dedicated color measuring device alone under necessary lighting conditions by using specific color charts of various media and various colorants, or converting measured color values obtained by the dedicated color measuring device alone into la b values obtained by the dedicated color measuring device with reference values of a plurality of dedicated color measuring devices, storing both measured color value tables, and converting the measured color values of various input devices into measured color values of the dedicated color measuring device by using a color conversion engine for performing necessary input, selection of target measured color value tables, and conversion of color values, thus, a color conversion system, a color conversion device, and a color conversion method can be used for generating an RGB image independent of an RGB input device and reproducing colors required by different illumination conditions in RGB and CMYK images.

Background

In the case of performing color unification (color matching) of a sample print and a print output based on the same data, the following factors need to be considered. For example, differences in color measurement methods between input devices and sensors (scanner/camera, lens, light receiving element CCD/CMOS) of the input devices, color measurement errors caused by the color measurement methods and manufacturers of dedicated color measurement devices and between models, the influence of the color temperature of illumination on the color measurement values, the spectrum of illumination, the influence of color developability on colors, the difference in color development due to the printing method, the difference in color development due to paper color (paper white, etc.), the influence of color reproduction, the influence of colorants and color lights on colors, the influence of surface processing on white color and color reproduction of materials such as paper white, and the difference in color matching accuracy caused by creating a chart (a plurality of color patches constituting a color chart and the color gamut thereof) with an ICC profile such as IT-8 are known. Due to the difference in these factors, etc., effective use of complicated color management techniques related to printing, painting, and dyeing is inevitable.

Disclosure of Invention

Technical problem to be solved by the invention

As shown in fig. 1, an ICC profile used for Color reproduction and correction of a scanner or a camera (hereinafter, referred to as "scanner or the like") and a CMM (Color Management Module) as a Color conversion engine, which are currently used in a standard manner, can convert a photographic image (RGB image) of an input Color target into image data of L a b Color space which is not related to a device by using a Color target composed of 264 colors.

In the case where the IT8.7/2 color chart medium (photo print), the print medium (print paper), and the colorant (ink, etc.) are different from each other, even if the scanner-specific ICC profile is created and the color management is performed, when the type of the input paper medium and colorant is different from the chart, the L α a b value of the white space of the medium is output with a large difference due to the input illumination light of the scanner or the like and the spectral characteristics of the light receiving sensor such as CCD, CMOS, etc., and thus an error occurs as a result as shown in fig. 2. As shown in fig. 3, this causes a difference in the spectral distribution of the input illumination light, the color sensitivity of the light receiving sensor, and the like.

An object of the present invention is to provide a color conversion system capable of recognizing the above-described weakness of the ICC profile again, and performing color conversion under a required condition by inputting conditions and actual measurement values actually measured under ambient lighting for viewing a necessary printed matter or the like, based on a color chart generated from L a b values obtained by measuring colors of a specific color chart by a dedicated color measuring device such as a spectrophotometer or a color luminance meter.

Detailed Description

Embodiments of a color conversion system, a color conversion device, and a color conversion method according to the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the drawings.

(definition)

First, definitions of some terms used in the following description of the embodiments are described.

(Medium)

The medium is a support to which a colorant is attached, colored or light-emitting, and includes coated paper, matte paper, security paper, cloth, metal, film, display, and the like. When different types of paper are printed with the same colorant, color perception and colorimetric values may be different visually when colors represented by the combination of C, M, Y, K and composite dot% caused by ink are printed at the same density. Further, icc (international Color consortium) creates a print property file in which 1 set of paper (medium) and colorants is set. In addition, even for the same medium, a printing system (for example, an offset/gravure/flexo/inkjet/toner system) and a colorant, a dot shape, and the like associated therewith have characteristics of changing color reproduction.

(coloring agent)

The term "colorant" is used broadly to refer to a component for coloring various objects, i.e., a natural or artificial "pigment" and a "colorant". Printing inks, paints, painting pigments and the like produced by these coloring materials are narrowly referred to as "colorants". Further, as the coloring agent, there are a "dye" which penetrates between fibers and colors the fibers, and an "insoluble" pigment which is a colorant in a narrow sense. The printing ink includes gravure printing ink, offset printing ink, and flexographic printing ink, and further, the offset printing ink includes oil-based ink, UV ink, and waterless ink. In addition, there are aqueous inks, toners, and the like, and there are light-resistant inks, heat-resistant inks, and the like according to the application. The spectral reflectance characteristics and the color gamut are also different.

(CMYK Process ink)

A printing ink is provided, wherein 4 colors obtained by adding K (black) to three colors of Y (yellow), M (magenta) and C (blue) which are primary colors of subtractive color mixing are generally combined into one set, and all colors are intended to be reproduced by performing superposition printing on each color.

(color gamut)

The range of colors represented by a specific color space (CIEXYZ, L × a × b, or the like) is a range of colors that a pattern of a printed matter or the like formed by a specific colorant or medium, a color that an object emits white illumination, the number of all colors that a color monitor emits, and the like.

(surface working)

The surface finishing is various processes performed on the surface of the medium, such as gloss, matte/foil pressing, glazing, PP plastic lamination, and ink coating.

(Lighting Environment)

The lighting environment refers to a situation in which color reproduction looks different due to a difference in lighting in an environment in which a printed matter or the like is seen. In general, this characteristic is expressed by a spectrum, a color temperature, and a color rendering property.

(Spectrum of Lighting)

The spectrum of illumination means the spectral distribution of light, and is a wavelength of electromagnetic waves that is visible to the human eye. The lower limit of the wavelength of the electromagnetic wave corresponding to visible light is about 360-400nm, and the upper limit is about 760-830 nm. The human eye cannot see whether the wavelength is shorter or longer than visible light. Light rays having a shorter wavelength than visible light are referred to as ultraviolet rays, and light rays having a longer wavelength than visible light are referred to as infrared rays.

(color rendering Property)

The color rendering property is a difference between "light color" which is "color of light source" and "appearance of color of object irradiated by light source". The "color rendering property" varies depending on the ratio of components of each wavelength of light emitted from the light source. The light color affects the impression of the space, and the color rendering affects the appearance of the color of the object. Furthermore, the color developability is represented by an average color-development evaluation number (Ra). The average color-rendering evaluation number indicates how much a natural color can be seen when illuminated with illumination, and for example, Ra100 means that the same color as when illuminated with natural light is reproduced. If the components of each wavelength are Ra95 and Ra98 on average, the color rendering property becomes high, and the color can be used as standard illumination. Since the light components are deficient in each wavelength, the general fluorescent lamp is lowered to Ra60-75, which causes a poor appearance such as color turbidity. The color rendering properties are affected by, for example, the absence of specific wavelengths in the spectrum of halogen lamps, fluorescent lamps, and LEDs, and by the presence or absence of ultraviolet rays.

(color temperature)

When the light source emits light, the light color includes bluish light and yellowish light. These lights are referred to as the light colors of the light source. The color temperature is a temperature when the carbon is heated and a color of light emitted from the carbon, and objectively indicates a color of light of the light source. The light colors of the light source are roughly divided into white light and colored light, but when the concept of color temperature can be applied, the color temperature cannot be defined for colored light, and white light is used alone. The color temperature of sunlight varies depending on the latitude of the earth, but is 5500K in a day, and 6000 to 6500K in color temperature of a flash lamp and a monitor, which are standardized for 5000K in the field of printing. Further, the incandescent lamp is about 3000K.

(color measurement conditions of spectrophotometer)

Depending on the case where the fluorescent whitening agent is used in the paper and the case where the fluorescent whitening agent is not used, variations occur in the correlation between the measured value and the observed "appearance" of the paper. This is caused by the fact that the UV amount of light used in the light source of the colorimeter is different from the UV amount of light used in the observation illumination in the case where the fluorescent whitening material is included in the paper, and the UV becomes other wavelength. Therefore, in addition to the M factors (M0 to M3), the ISO is provided with a function of controlling the measurement values by using each filter in accordance with the lighting conditions (ISO-13655-2009). M0 has no filter, M1 is Part-1: d50, M2 is a UV cut filter, and M3 is a polarized light filter.

(ambient light)

The ambient light is a spectrum of illumination in which an environment of a subject, a printed matter, or a print (print) is seen. Generally, natural light in the outdoor and indoor environment and bright light of electric lamps and the like are used.

(memory color)

A color that remains in human memory as an almost common color perception is referred to as a memory color. Colors that correlate with, associate with, or recall actual colors. In general, the features of the color are emphasized and memorized more often than the actual colors. In addition, the memory colors are different depending on the country and the living culture in many cases, and therefore, the memory colors are similar across the country and the country.

(CMM)

The CMM (Color Management Module) is a Color conversion engine based on ICC inserted into an OS such as colorsync2.0/2.5 and ICM 2.0. Further, ICM2.0 is an abbreviation of a system-level color conversion program using CMM mounted on Windows OS, and colorsync2.0/2.5 is an abbreviation of a system-level color conversion program using CMM mounted on Mac OS. By using these CMMs, color conversion of images between different color spaces based on CIEXYZ, CIELAB, CMYK, and the like for collating colors between different media and devices is performed, which is a feature.

(calibration)

Since the RGB input device is a scanner, a digital camera, or a digital video camera (hereinafter, collectively referred to as a camera), and the spectral sensitivity characteristics, the color gamut, and the gamma of the sensor are different, the influence of the difference in the spectral characteristics of the color measurement chart as the color measurement medium is also different. Further, uneven illumination of illumination light, uneven sensitivity, and differences in contrast occur. The calibration is a contrast correction, a gamma correction, and an unevenness correction performed in advance in the RGB input device at the time of creation of the input attribute file or at the time of image input in order to correct these influences.

When creating a conversion (or change) table of colorimetric values, first, a dedicated colorimeter (such as a spectrophotometer) performs colorimetry on a dedicated majority specific color chart or a dedicated majority specific color chart composed of 1617 color patches such as IT8.7/4 used for IT-8.7/2 color chart for an input device, and used for creating an ICC profile for a printing or output device. Then, data in which L × a × b values obtained by adding IDs to the color patches (the small pieces of the individual color samples constituting the color chart and performing color measurement are stored is stored as a color measurement value table by a dedicated color measurement machine.

(color measurement value Table)

The color measurement value table described here is a color measurement value (referred to as an input chromaticity table) obtained by converting each color cell of a plurality of specific color charts, which are dedicated for color conversion in the present system, into an L a b value by using each color cell input by a scanner or the like to the same color chart as a reference value (referred to as a target chromaticity table) obtained by color measurement by a spectrophotometer.

(dependent on the machine)

The color space inherently possessed by the device, specifically, the color space and the color reproduction characteristics of an image input by a light receiving sensor provided in the device are different, and the color reproduction inherent to the device is referred to as device-dependent color. For example, the same applies to RGB cameras and scanners, and to 4K and 8K cameras having a wide color gamut defined by bt.2020. In the present invention, these device-dependent input devices are referred to as inherent RGB input devices and the like.

(color measuring machine)

The color measuring device can use, in addition to a spectrophotometer (or a spectral density meter) and a CIEXYZ input device of a spectroscopic color measuring device, an RGB input device based on an input device, and a 4K, 8K video input device based on bt.2020 which has a wider color gamut than Adobe-RGB and a narrower color gamut than a visible light region.

(Special color measuring machine)

The term "dedicated colorimeter" as used herein refers to a general case where a colorimetric value is calculated from a spectral reflectance as in a spectrophotometer, or a colorimetric value is calculated from a tristimulus value as in a CIEXYZ camera or a colorimeter. Examples of the color measurement method of these color measuring devices include a method using a spectral filter and a CIEXYZ filter.

(CIP3,CIP4)

CIP3 is a standard for combining data of three steps with the initials P created before, during, and after printing, in order to use density information of images in the prepress step of printing, page assignment, binding specifications, and the like in initial adjustment of a printing press or a processing machine. A number of prepress, printing and processing machine manufacturers are participating worldwide. The standard Format for data exchange specified by CIP3 is PPF (Print Production Format). CIP3 uses the image area data before printing for critical ink control in the printing press, contributing to a significant reduction in printing time. In 2000 the name was changed to CIP4 with process added.

(L a b color space)

The color space L a b is a color space defined by The CIE (International Commission on Illumination), and The same CIEXYZ color space (a color that is expressed in three dimensions of XYZ axes, which is obtained by numerical processing and improvement such that no negative value is generated in a color matching function obtained by experiments) is expressed in such a manner that The intensity of 3 lights of RGB is changed to mixedly express colors that are observed when white light representing 5000K and 6500K is irradiated in each color of a visible light region that can be recognized by human eyes.

(IT8.7/2 Chart)

The IT8.7/2 chart is a color chart based on a format specified by the IT8.7/2-1993 standard of ANSI (American National Standards Institute), and is a color chart having about 250 color patches having different lightness, chroma, and hue in order to obtain color gamut information of the RGB input device. Here, the Color Patch refers to a small piece (Color Patch) of each individual Color sample constituting the Color chart.

Fig. 4 is a block diagram illustrating an outline of the color conversion system according to the present invention. As shown in fig. 4, the color conversion system (color conversion system: hereinafter referred to as CCS) according to the present invention includes: a color measurement value table creation unit that inputs first color measurement values output from various input devices; a measured color value storage unit and a color conversion unit (color conversion engine, hereinafter abbreviated as CCE) for converting the first measured color value into a second measured color value; and a color chart storage unit for storing a color chart of the measured color value of the second specific color chart. The color chart storage unit includes: an input color chart having color information of each measurement light source (color temperature, illumination spectrum) used when color measurement is performed by various input devices; and a target chromaticity table having color information for each light source used when color measurement is performed by a dedicated color measuring machine as a reference. Further, the system includes a table value correspondence adjusting unit that stores the input chromaticity table and the target chromaticity table and associates the color value of the input chromaticity table with the color value of the target chromaticity table, and the system is made into a database. The color conversion system converts the first colorimetric value into the second colorimetric value by referring to the colorimetric value table.

The color values include values of all colors obtained from a measuring instrument. Representative examples thereof include RGB, CMYK density, CIEXYZ, and a density difference Δ E, CIEDE2000, Δ E, CIEDE, and the like among values representing a difference obtained by comparing two colors.

Color patches are rectangular planar objects having a size that can be measured by a color measuring machine and that are uniformly distributed in various colors. The XYZ camera is a camera that obtains an image based on the same value as the L a b colorimetric value of the spectrophotometer by photographing with a CIEXYZ filter (composed of 3 filters having spectral characteristics close to those of the eye).

In the Color Conversion System (CCS) shown in fig. 4, a dedicated colorimeter such as a reference spectrophotometer is used to measure a spectral spectrum under various ambient light such as fluorescent light, LED illumination, and sunlight (see fig. 3), and a plurality of specific color charts in which a plurality of color patches of IT8.7/4 or more are arranged are colorimeted by the dedicated colorimeter using the spectral data. The system-specific file in which all the colorimetric values are described is set as a target chroma table. Further, a table created by measuring colors of specific color charts in which a plurality of colors equal to or greater than IT8.7/4 are arranged with various illumination lights using a CIEXYZ camera having color characteristics similar to those seen by eyes can be used as the target color gamut. Further, it is possible to use, as a color measuring device for various printed matters, an input device capable of wide color gamut input such as a spectrophotometer, CIEXYZ camera, RGB scanner or RGB camera, and further an input device of 4K8K based on bt.2020, and to convert a device-dependent color measurement value obtained from the input device into a value equal to a color measurement value of a dedicated color measuring device such as a reference spectrophotometer. Therefore, the color conversion system has a highly accurate color conversion engine.

The color evaluation unit inputs a reference image such as a sample from an input device of the present system and an image to be compared, performs color measurement on 2 input images stored in the "color measurement value/image input unit" by an accurate color measurement value, expresses a difference in color by a color difference (Δ E), a difference in CMYK%, and the like, expresses a result of color evaluation based on these parameters by numerical values and various color judgment methods, or outputs a "color evaluation report". Further, "color correction information" for bringing the comparison image close to the reference image such as the sample is output.

In addition, when a small number of specific color charts composed of a small number of color charts of IT8.7/4 or less are input or color-measured in the color conversion engine (color conversion section: CCE) of fig. 4, an image obtained by "a single medium and coloring agent and illumination light" or "a plurality of different media and coloring agent and illumination light" input using "a single input device or a plurality of different and separate input devices" is used. Then, after converting the image obtained by inputting a small number of specific color charts into L × a × b values, a dedicated colorimeter serving as a reference is used to add spectral data of the ambient light corresponding to various lighting environments to perform colorimetry on a large number of specific color charts including the colors of the small number of specific color charts, thereby calculating colors matching spectral reflectances with respect to the respective spectra (wavelengths of light) of the ambient light. Next, the corresponding colors of the plurality of specific color charts, which include colors that are not present in the small number of specific color charts and are color-measured under the same color-measuring conditions as the small number of specific color charts, are converted into L × a × b values of the input chromaticity table and assigned.

When the number of the corresponding patches of the graph is matched, the CCE color space conversion module sets one of two color space values having different la × a × b values as a conversion target reference colorimetric value, and converts the other value into the conversion target reference colorimetric value, thereby enabling conversion to a necessary colorimetric value (for example, a different colorimetric value under a different lighting condition) with high accuracy.

Further, in order to perform color conversion in the same manner with a high-precision color measurement table value based on CCS even when a small number of specific color charts are used, a dedicated colorimeter is used, and first, a large number of specific color charts are input, and reference values of a large number of specific colors are stored in the CCS in advance. As described above, the color of the majority specific color chart that is not included in the minority specific color charts can be accurately predicted as compared with the case where only the minority specific color chart is input. Then, similarly, the measured color values of the color patches of the few specific color charts and the measured color values of the corresponding color patches of the many specific color charts are compared by the CCE, and converted into the values of the many specific color charts obtained by color measurement by the dedicated color measuring machine, and further, the intended media, the colorant, and the measured color values inherent in the inherent lighting environment can be accurately converted.

The majority of specific color charts are charts having specific colors necessary for color conversion, but it is desirable that a small number of specific color charts have a color gamut substantially equivalent to all color patches of these majority of specific color charts. Fig. 5 is a diagram showing the difference between the color space of a few specific color charts and the number of calorimetric value data of a many specific color charts. Fig. 5(a) shows a few specific color charts in the color space, and fig. 5(b) shows a plurality of specific color charts in the same color space.

As understood from fig. 5, the number of colors of the majority specific color charts included in the color space is greater than the number of colors of the minority specific color charts included in the same color space. Further, the majority of the specific color charts include all colors of the minority of the specific color charts even in the same color space. That is, the colors of a few specific color charts present within the color space are also present in a majority of the specific color charts.

Furthermore, by creating a specific color chart for each medium and coloring agent and by preliminarily storing a color measurement value table composed of data obtained by color measurement using various color measuring devices and reference illumination light of the color measuring devices and color measurement values of corresponding color patches obtained by color measurement in different various illumination environments in the CCS, it is possible to reproduce a necessary color measurement value in a necessary color measurement environment by using the CCE and by calling up a color measurement value table of necessary data at any time.

The colorimetric values obtained here can be made into a database of a large-scale colorimetric value table by using not only a reference colorimetric machine using the ISO-13655-2009 standard as a colorimetric condition but also a colorimetric machine capable of using a colorimetric condition based on other illumination light as a reference. A target color gamut table having a high-precision color measurement value independent of a color measuring machine suitable for a lighting environment can be obtained.

Further, even if a device-dependent general-purpose scanner of the RGB color gamut is used as a color measuring machine, L × a × b can be measured with the same accuracy as the color measurement values of a high-accuracy dedicated color measuring machine by the CCE. That is, by creating a plurality of specific color charts of 1617 colors or more including all the colors of IT8.7/4 for each medium (paper) and colorant to be color-measured, and creating an input color measurement value chromaticity table as a reference specific color chart, accurate color measurement values can be obtained even from color measurement values of printed products based on different media and colorants. Further, by inputting the calibration-adjusted RGB scanner, camera, or the like (hereinafter, referred to as a scanner or the like), and performing the recalibration color conversion by using the ICC profile and the CMM (color management module) to perform the value obtained by the la b conversion, more accurate la b, color difference, and the like (Δ E, CIEDE2000, and the like) are obtained. However, in addition to a wide range of colors and densities and noise reduction, a CCD scanner or the like having a sufficiently wide color tone reproduction width that is smooth for each color is desired. Besides the calibrated RGB camera, the calibration may be implemented by a 4K 8K-standard CCD, C-mos, contact, sensor-based scanner, or camera input device. In addition, color evaluation was performed in the printing field using a color difference (Δ E) indicating a difference in color and CIEDE2000 indicating a color difference in sensitivity as seen by human eyes.

The outline and functions of the present system (a device for performing colorimetry/color conversion/color evaluation/color correction) including a Color Conversion Engine (CCE) that inputs these printed products or the like by an RGB scanner or the like and performs color conversion for correcting the L × a × b conversion value are as follows.

(1) The RGB image input device has inherent color reproduction characteristics for each device (equipment), and changes the color reproduction of an input image according to the type of a medium or a colorant to be input. This is because there is a difference between the spectral sensitivity of a sensor used in a scanner or the like and the spectral wavelength distribution of illumination. This is the same for digital cameras and smartphone cameras, and also for 4K, 8K cameras and 4K, 8K cameras of bt.2020 standard proposed by itu (international Telecommunication union) -R in the wide color gamut.

Further, the spectral sensitivity of a scanner or the like is different from the spectral sensitivity of eyes and actual illumination, and thus causes a difference between visual color recognition and a colorimetric value based on an input image of the scanner or the like. In order to correct these color differences, it is necessary to create an input color gamut table for each input device, medium to be color-measured, and colorant. Therefore, CCS has a matrix colorimetry function of collectively inputting all individual color patches (the number of color patches is not particularly limited) of a plurality of specific color charts and performing colorimetry in a short time of about 10 seconds.

(2) As shown in fig. 6, the color patches and color information of the color chart such as the image of the specific color chart (IT8.7/4(1617 colors)) inputted by the scanner or the like are converted into L a b values using the input attribute files of the CMM, the scanner and the like also mounted on the system CCSRGB) Therefore, for the colorimetric values of the specific color chart obtained here, an input value color chart in which ID numbers are given to the colorimetric values and the color patches is created by an input color chart creation unit (see fig. 4) of the CCS.

(3) Next, as shown in fig. 7, spectral data of the illumination light is added to the colorimetric values obtained by the dedicated colorimetric devices (spectrophotometer, CIEXYZ input device) serving as the reference, and the ID numbers are assigned to the L × a × b values obtained by colorimetric measurement of the same specific color chart, and a target chromaticity table creation unit (see fig. 4) of the CCS creates a target chromaticity table. At this time, by providing spectral data of the illumination light used for color evaluation and performing color measurement, a color measurement value unique to the ambient light is obtained, and the target chromaticity table created here can be used as a table for correcting the spectral characteristics of the illumination light.

(4) As shown in fig. 8, by placing the two chromaticity tables, i.e., the input chromaticity table and the target chromaticity table, in the CCS, the value L a b (L1 a 1b 1) of the image of the print sample obtained by RGB input by a scanner or the like which performs color conversion in accordance with the medium, the colorant, and the ambient light of the color measurement target is obtainedRGB) And transformed into a color measurement value (L2 a2 b2) based on a dedicated color measurement machineCIEXYZ). This makes it possible to obtain a colorimetric value of a dedicated colorimetric device such as a spectrophotometer serving as a reference when performing color measurement on an input image such as a scanner.

When comparing the print products to be compared even when the media and the colorants are the same and the ambient light is different from each other, the measured color values (L a b) including the influences of the media, the colorants and the ambient light can be compared by individually selecting 2 target color tables suitable for the respective print products. In other words, the measurement value can be reproduced under 2 kinds of illumination light. It is therefore possible to express how the color looks changed by numerical values in color evaluation close to the visual sense when the same printed matter is seen.

Fig. 9 is a flowchart for comparing colorimetric values in "different illuminations/media/colorants" representing color comparisons with each other in different illumination environments. In the case of using a scanner as an input colorimeter, since the illumination of the scanner is the same, both of the input colorimeter, which is obtained by L × a × b × conversion as it is, and the colorimeter such as a printed sample are included, and both represent the same value, but the difference in color reproduction of the colorimeter in each environment can be easily digitized by using spectral data of fluorescent lamps and LED illuminations different in target colorimeter and using a value obtained by performing colorimetry by a spectrophotometer or the like.

Next, the relationship between the ambient light and the color management will be described. In the case of performing the color evaluation of the printed matter described above, since the appearance of the color changes if the lighting environment changes, a fluorescent lamp excellent in color reproduction, such as a color temperature of the lighting of 5000K and a color rendering of Ra98 or more, is used as a standard light source in the printing field. However, in the case where the user or the design company finally determines the quality of the color, the illumination light for evaluating the printed matter is generally a fluorescent lamp, or the color is recently checked under LED illumination, and the difference in the color is seen due to the difference in the illumination environment, and therefore, there are many cases where the user has trouble of reprinting.

In a common fluorescent lamp, the daylight color is about 6500K, the daylight white color is about 5000K, the white color is about 4200K, and the warm white color is about 3500K. Further, the white point of a white portion which is a basic color of the medium also changes. That is, the color of the same printed matter appears to change greatly due to the difference in the color temperature of the fluorescent tubes. For example, the blue color such as sky and trees looks vivid in daylight, while the color of people and red fruits looks dull and not vivid. On the other hand, the colors of the human and red fruits look vivid, in contrast to the colors of the white and warm white fluorescent tubes.

In addition, a consumer who actually holds the printed matter in his/her hand often sees the color in the same lighting environment as a printing order person. For example, if a poster is pasted to the field or to a wall of a station of a subway, the lighting environment is diversified, which is the present situation. To ameliorate this problem, constant color evaluation by ISO-based D50 standard light sources is error-free, but the standard light source environment differs from the lighting environment typically seen by consumers. Further, considering the increase of communication sales and online shopping, it is important to arrange color confirmation in various lighting environments, evaluate differences in colors viewed in various lighting environments, and manage colors suitable for the lighting environments, including color reproduction in displays of monitors, smartphones, and tablet terminals.

Further, when a highly accurate color measurement value is obtained, it is more preferable to perform color measurement on "a plurality of specific color charts (1617 colors or more and 5000 color degrees)" having a large number of colors by a dedicated color measurement machine. Further, simultaneously with color measurement of the color chart, corresponding colors of the respective patches are arranged at the same positions, or IDs are registered for the respective patches, and a value of L × a × b obtained by color measurement performed by a dedicated color measuring machine and a value of L × a × b conversion of the respective patches input by different input devices (RGB input devices and the like) are related to each other.

Next, an error in the case of using an ICC profile, which will be solved in the present embodiment, will be described. Fig. 10 is a model diagram showing the determination of colors that are not present in a color measurement chart from two color space values. The gradation of color obtained by measuring the color of the same color patch is shown in fig. 1 to 4, the curve obtained by linear conversion is a solid line, and if the color is not measured in the color patch, the point of number 5 is predicted from the color reproduction curve estimated by linear interpolation. However, if the RGB values obtained from a scanner or the like are color-converted into L × a × b values from the ICC profile, a large error occurs if the color chart of the color patch is represented by the value at the position indicated by reference numeral 6.

On the other hand, in the color conversion by CCS, the coordinates of the measured values of the scanner or the like are converted into L × a × b values, which are target chromaticity tables created from the measured values of dedicated colorimetric devices such as direct spectrophotometers, so that accurate converted values can be easily obtained. By further increasing the number of colors of the patches of the intermediate color in both the CMM and CCS, the color conversion error can be reduced. However, as described above, when there are actually measured values based on a large number of specific color charts of 1617 colors or more, it is clear that one of CCS based on the xyz small color volume color coordinate conversion method is highly accurate.

If the conversion of 2 color spaces for color correction is performed using only a small number of specific color charts, the reference point of color conversion is reduced by a small number of patches, and thus the specific color that becomes the reference point should be increased in advance to 1600 colors or more. In this case, the middle point of the specific color can be predicted by linear transformation. In addition, although a chart in which the intermediate point is previously obtained by linear transformation as in the case of the specific color charts of 1600 degrees of color may be used as the specific color chart, since a color measurement result different from the expected result may be obtained as described above, it is possible to perform color transformation by CCS by combining the average values of the two. In this case, based on the input chromaticity table in which the number of color patches (dots) of the specific chromaticity diagram is increased in advance, color patches close to the measured color values (values obtained by L × a × b × conversion) of the scanner or the like are searched, and then similarly converted into color patch IDs of the target chromaticity table, and conversion of the measured color values using xyz small color volume is performed, whereby the range of color differences for detecting color patches with similar color differences can be narrowed, and therefore, there is an advantage in that the detection speed of the similar colors can be increased.

Next, a "majority specific color chart" used in the present invention will be described. The specific color chart is one of the most important elements for performing color conversion in the present embodiment with high accuracy. Most specific color charts are important elements that are indispensable for color conversion with color blocks of 1617 or more colors, 5000 color degrees, or color information resulting from gradation. In addition, the number of colors of the plurality of specific color charts is not limited thereto.

Specifically, for example, new patches are added in addition to the 1617-color patches of the IT8.7/4 chart. Furthermore, a gradation chart of continuous gradation may also be added. By shortening the interval of the color measurement distance when the color measurement is performed on the gradation portion of the gradation chart, the number of colors corresponding to the color patches can be increased freely as a result. In addition, images of persons, skin colors representing the color of the skin of the person, and images of colors or the like stored as various memories representing natural landscapes such as grass and trees, sky blue, foods, hobbies, and the like, or memory colors of color cards, photographs, and the like corresponding to the above, which are common impressions to the human, may be added and used to create an input color chart and an output color chart necessary for color conversion by the CCE of the CCS. The details and the method of using the various diagrams will be described below.

When CCE is used, the color correction accuracy can be improved and the color gamut capable of color measurement can be enlarged in the case where the specific color chart has a large number of colors, and this is an important factor. This is because, when color measurement is performed on a color that is not present in the graph, the greater the number of color measurement points, the smaller the color difference between the corresponding color graphs in the color space, and therefore the closer the distance between the reference points with the L × a × b value and the ID of the color measurement point in the color space, the higher the accuracy in the prediction of the color value.

However, in order to increase the number of color charts created by the composite% of CMYK inks, the size of each color patch needs to be reduced to about half of the size of a typical 6mm square or more, but there is a limit to the size of a color patch that can be measured by a color measuring machine. Therefore, in order to increase the number of color measurements per unit area of the chart, gradation charts of R, G, B, C, M, Y, K, spot color inks are used. In general, although only blocks of about 800 colors are actually arranged in the a4 division and only blocks of about 1600 colors are arranged in the A3 division, gradation can be measured at a finer color measurement pitch by using an additional block and a gradation chart. In addition, in the specific color chart, even a combination of a3 and a practical upper block can obtain a 5000-color degree. Accordingly, there is obtained an effect that the correction value error is reduced because the distance between the colorimetric point in the color space and the color of the specific color chart becomes short.

In the conventional color patch color measurement method, a large 1617 color of IT8.7/4 is used in practice, and an intermediate value is generated by interpolation for an intermediate color not included in the color measurement chart. In order to obtain high interpolation accuracy, the interval between the reference color measurement points needs to be half or less, and thus 1 ten thousand or more reference color measurement points are required.

In order to measure the colorimetric value of the position to be calorimetrically of the gradation chart with high accuracy, it is effective to use an automatic colorimetric robot to perform coordinate input of the colorimetric position and perform continuous colorimetry, but as shown in fig. 11, a ruled line (+ mark) which becomes a target mark is described and placed outside the chart, and a value which is always constant both automatically and manually can be obtained. Further, since accurate color measurement by a dedicated color measuring machine is required to create a target color gamut by CCS, a single or a plurality of flat-screen color patches (for example) of a specific color are added in the middle of gradation, and used as a check point for checking whether or not there is an error in color measurement of the gradation chart before and after the screen tone color patch.

When color measurement is performed on a graph having a large gradation surface on which different colors are printed in an overlapping manner in the upper and lower directions and in the left and right directions as shown in fig. 12, it is necessary to indicate coordinates in both directions xy, and thus color measurement cannot be performed manually. Thus, an example of execution by the automatic color measuring robot is described. First, a gradation chart for color measurement is mounted and fixed on a color measurement value table of an automatic color measurement robot. By selecting the upper left origin of the chart and the angle on the side opposite to the origin, the position, size, and tilt correction angle of the chart on the measurement table are input. In the figure, "x" through the input origin is 0: y is 0 "and the coordinate" x is 0: y 100 "and x 100: when y is 0 ", an image of a chart input by a scanner or the like can be displayed on a monitor of an automatic color measuring machine, and a target mark position of the same part coordinate is also input on the display image, so that the coordinate positions of both can be matched. Thus, the coordinates of the measurement position can be specified manually or numerically.

In the specific color charts of both the first and second small specific color charts, the specific color charts are arranged so as to unify, as the same color, a memory color such as nature, a commodity, a logo mark, and the like related to a business of unifying colors, and the measured color value L a b by a dedicated color measuring machine serving as a reference thereof is registered as a registration table/color in the measured color value table of the CCS. In addition, it is important to further arrange a pattern (hereinafter, simply referred to as a pattern) of a printed matter such as a photograph, a symbol, or a logo to be subjected to color confirmation, because this is advantageous for color evaluation by visual observation. Fig. 13 is an example of a 5000 color chart configuration diagram.

The method includes creating a "second majority specific color chart" including gradation and patterns except for color patches, creating a "first minority specific color chart" including colors of a part of the second majority specific color chart and "second color measurement values" obtained by color measurement by a "second dedicated color measurement machine", associating the "second majority specific color chart" with color measurement value tables of corresponding colors of the "first minority specific color chart", and changing and converting "first color measurement values" obtained by color measurement by a "first (alternative) color measurement machine" (including a general-purpose (RGB) input machine) into corresponding "second color measurement values", thereby obtaining high-precision "second color measurement values" from the "first minority specific color chart" and the "first (alternative) color measurement machine". Further, by matching the number of color patches of the first color measurement value with the number of color patches of the second color measurement value, it is possible to correspond to the IDs of all the color patches constituting the color chart, and to perform color conversion in two color spaces. Of course, the majority of the specific color charts, the minority of the specific color charts, may also be composed of only color blocks.

The colorimetric value conversion of the present invention can be performed by using the 2 types of specific color charts described above. Fig. 14(a) is an image diagram showing a deformation of a color space by an input device, and fig. 14(b) is an image diagram showing an XYZ (abbreviation for CIEXYZ) color space showing an absolute value. The assigned numbers indicate the addresses of the color patches. That is, in each of fig. 14(a) and 14(b), color block 1 assigned the same reference number corresponds to 1.

The first few specific color charts are composed of the least necessary colors in the second many specific color charts. In addition, standard or customer-independent patterns and signs such as features, people, scenery, still life and the like can be added to the first and second specific color charts.

The second plurality of specific color charts are basically composed of an IT8.7/4(1617 color) color chart and additional color patches which are not included in the IT8.7/4 color chart. Further, since standard patterns (such as photographs) of people, scenery, and still are added, a gradation chart is added to increase the number of colors measured on the chart, a chart for spot colors corresponding to colors inside and outside the color gamut of CMYK inks is added, and memory colors of marks, commodities, nature, and the like existing in the memory of a viewer are added, the color gamut in which color measurement is performed with high accuracy can be increased. Specific portions of a pattern (such as an illustration or a photograph of a printed matter) are measured. In addition, images obtained by coloring and evaluating the density of images obtained in medical images and the like are measured.

Next, a method of obtaining a colorimetric value of a color not included in the specific color chart will be described. Fig. 15 is a graph of a × b for a lightness L, showing a color measurement point of 1617 colors. As shown in fig. 15, if the color of an image (color patch, color in a pattern, or the like) on the monitor screen input by the RGB input device is measured by clicking an input device such as a mouse, a touch panel, or a keyboard connected to the PC, two colors closest to the L a b value at the position where the color measurement is performed are detected from an input chromaticity table as the measurement values of a specific color chart. However, since a plurality of color measurement values of color patches of other specific color charts exist around the L × a × b value of the color measurement point, it takes extra measurement time and is not efficient if all the points are checked every time. Therefore, for example, the color difference is first detected to the extent of Δ E3 so that it is easy to find the point of the closest color difference at once. If not, Δ E is gradually increased to, for example, 5 degrees, iteratively until 2 points are detected. The equation for calculating the color difference can be expressed by the following equation.

[ formula 1]

AE*ab=〔(ΔL*)3+(Δa*)2+(Δb*)21/2

Once the color of the specific patch of 2 points having the smallest color difference is detected from the input chromaticity table, two corresponding colors (L a b values) are found from the corresponding target chromaticity table, and a small color solid drawn from the two color coordinates can be created for the color space of the input chromaticity table and the color space of the target chromaticity table. Fig. 15 is a graph showing only a value a and a value b, but actually, if a difference between L values (concentrations) is read, L a b is formed as a three-dimensional object. Further, where the colorimetric values are located in the color volume generated by the scanner or the like, the colorimetric values are converted into xyz coordinates of the color volume as shown in fig. 16, and are changed to xyz coordinates based on the target chromaticity table. By further converting the coordinates thus obtained to L α b, accurate measured color values obtained by color measurement with a spectrophotometer can be easily obtained. In addition, the color can be measured with higher precision according to the color of the 3-point specific color block with the minimum color difference from the input color table.

The reason why "CCS" can be converted into a more accurate colorimetric value is that instead of converting colors that are not present in the reference color chart as in the conventional calculation method (using many specific color charts such as 5000 color charts, and the like), the CCS are converted into xyz coordinates that are actually present in a narrow-range color space (except for the color space) in the vicinity of the colorimetric value obtained from an input image such as a scanner, and are subjected to coordinate conversion in the same narrow-range color space of the reference colorimetric device at the same ratio as the xyz coordinates. Since coordinate conversion can be performed directly on a fine color change, it is possible to precisely cope with a case caused by a nonlinear color gradation change. In other words, it is characterized in that more accurate color conversion is performed since the correlation with 2 color space values is maintained and color conversion is performed.

Further, since the first colorimetric values of the 4K, 8K camera or scanner based on the ordinary RGB or bt.2020 standard can be converted into the second colorimetric values and used by using a dedicated colorimetric device such as a spectrophotometer based on a plurality of specific color charts, a high-precision colorimetric value can be obtained at low cost and easily.

When the first few specific color charts (of customers) were color measured by the RGB or bt.2020 standard 4K, 8K input device, (print company) converted to L × a × b values using the input attribute file of the input device, etc. The second plurality of specific color charts are subjected to color measurement (L × a × b) by a dedicated color measuring machine such as a spectrophotometer or CIEXYZ input machine (in the printing company), and color measurement values of color patches that are insufficient in the color measurement values of the first plurality of specific color charts (of the customer) are converted based on the values of the plurality of specific color charts, and created. Similarly, when the first few specific color charts (of the printing company) are subjected to color measurement by other (different) RGB or bt.2020-based 4K, 8K input devices, the colorimetric values of color patches that are insufficient in the colorimetric values of the first few specific color charts (of the printing company) are converted from the values of the plurality of specific color charts, and created.

When a pattern is added to the first few specific color charts, Image Matching (Image Matching) processing is performed in which the same pattern portions of the first few specific color charts and the second specific color charts are combined at the pixel level, color measurement is performed at the same positions of the pattern portions to convert the same into L a b values, and the color measurement values of the first few specific color charts are converted into color coordinates corresponding to the color measurement values of the second many specific color charts, thereby obtaining values at the time of converting the color measurement values of the pattern into the color space of the many specific color charts.

For colors that are not present in the small number of specific color charts and that are present in the large number of specific color charts, the colorimetric values of the large number of specific color charts can be added to the small number of specific color charts that are not present by the deficiency by multiplying the common conversion coefficient by the la b value obtained by previously measuring the color corresponding to the large number of specific color charts. Here, the conversion coefficient is a value obtained by performing primary color measurement on a plurality of specific color charts, and is a value obtained by detecting a 2-point or 3-point color patch in the vicinity of a color that is insufficient in a plurality of specific color charts on which color measurement has been performed by the color measuring machine, from among the color measurement values of the plurality of specific color charts, and setting the positional relationship of the coordinates in the xyz small color space obtained by this as a variable.

Further, in the colorimetric measurement of the pattern, the colorimetric value of the pattern is calculated similarly for the coordinates in the small xyz color space created from the 2 color coordinates, and in the plurality of specific color charts, the coordinates at the same ratio in the small xyz color space created from the 2 same ID colors are similarly converted into the colorimetric values, whereby the colorimetric value of the pattern in the target color space can be obtained.

Further, a plurality of specific color charts created at the same time may be used, and the target color chart receiving the measurement values from a third party (a remote place, overseas such as a third country) may be provided and used in combination with the input color chart created by the company. However, many specific color charts may be different, but conditions other than those created by the same lighting environment, the same medium such as paper, and the colorant such as ink cannot be mixed.

In addition, in many specific color charts, the colorimetric values are measured and recorded in advance by using a colorimetric device that is a reference of color calibration (calibration of reference color values) performed by a color tile (white/black/color tile having a very small color change with age is used as a reference color patch) serving as a color evaluation reference. Further, considering the expiration date that no change in the color of the specific color chart itself printed or digitally printed in paper, plastic, or the like occurs, the specific color chart is generally newly created and modified every 1 year, and in the case of creation every 1 year, a new specific color chart is created even if the color is slightly different. In this case, the color difference data indicating the change in the measured color value of each color patch is acquired by using the color measuring device serving as the reference for color measurement, and the color difference data from the previous chart is added to the new specific color charts. Since the target color data value can be corrected by inputting the color difference data to (the reference data correction function of) the CCS, re-measurement of a large number of new specific color charts by a spectrophotometer or the like can be saved. In addition, these specific color charts include painted and also dyed.

Input devices such as scanners require re-measurement because color reproduction of the device itself changes with time, but the same operation is required in the daily life, and image input and color measurement can be achieved in a short time of less than 1 minute even for 5000 colors, and thus, the input devices do not pose a significant problem because they require much time and effort.

On the other hand, in the color correction of a camera such as a smartphone, a portable card-size-specific color chart is created, and data obtained by re-measuring an input color chart of the card-size-specific color chart on a model-by-model basis in advance is uploaded to a Web server or the like, so that if a serial number (new card-size-specific color chart) is selected at the time when a new card-size-specific color chart is obtained, the input color chart of the new color measurement value can be used.

A method of unifying colors of a printing company and a customer will be described.

Since the number of colors of the first major specific color chart is different from the number of colors of the second minor specific color chart, when color adjustment of the colorimeter is performed, the major specific color chart is first output by a printer of a customer as a preset, and image data input by a scanner or the like of the customer is received by a printing company. The image data of the color chart is measured by the CCS of the printing company, the color chart of the printed matter is used as a reference of the printing company, and color measurement is performed by a color measuring machine different from the color measuring machine on the customer side. Further, the digital image and the color measurement value table of the print are divided into a majority specific color chart and a minority specific color chart, respectively, and two input chromaticity tables and two target chromaticity tables are created. Further, an input color gamut equivalent to the second majority specific color chart is created by performing predictive calculation of colorimetric values of color patches not included in the second minority specific color chart, which is an output of the customer printer, by the CCS at the printing company using the aforementioned method. Next, the actual measured values and the predicted values of the same patch colors of the plurality of specific color charts are compared, and the differences are recorded as correction values. Therefore, only the second few specific color charts output from the customer's printer, the RGB image data input from the customer's scanner or the like, and the print sample output from the same printer are received from the next time, and the input color chart corrected to an accurate predicted value including the fluctuation of the scanner or the like is created, so that the color evaluation of the pattern can be confirmed with an accurate L a b value.

Similarly, a scanner of a printing company inputs RGB images of a large number of 2 specific color charts based on the printer of the customer and the printed matter, divides color patches of each color chart into color patches by matrix color measurement, measures the color patches, and converts the color patches into L × a × b values of all the color patches. The customer's printer and 2 kinds of specific color charts of the printed matter are set as "input color charts of RGB input image", and L × a × b values of all color patches are further divided into the few and most specific color charts, thereby creating 4 kinds of color measurement value tables. By storing these data, a large number of colorimetric value tables can be referred to at any time, and therefore, even if there are only a small number of colorimetric value tables, accurate color conversion can be performed on a large number of colorimetric value tables.

As described above, by using the first majority specific color chart as a preliminary job for creating a majority colorimetric value table from a minority colorimetric value table, not only is attribute documentation (color gamut digitization) accurately performed on color reproduction by a printer or a printing press, but also in the case where a scanner or the like is used as a colorimetric machine, color reproduction characteristics matching input characteristics of the scanner or the like are captured finely, which is essential for accurate color unification.

The reason why the input color chart for measuring colors of a small number of specific color charts is created is that since the color of a sample print output from a printer of a customer is not always stable, the small number of specific color charts are printed together with the output of the color sample print, and only RGB image data input from a scanner or the like of the customer together with a small number of reference color charts that have been printed first is received each time, so that it is possible to accurately read the color change of the scanner or the like and the color reproduction of the current printer.

Further, even if the actual sample print is not subjected to color measurement by the spectrophotometer, the RGB image input by the scanner of the customer can be received, and only by the above operation, the color of the color sample image output by the printer, L × a × b × color measurement, and color reproduction can be compared and confirmed by using numerical values.

A printer company uses a proofing machine (referred to as a high-precision color printer for color correction) that performs color matching for color reproduction in a printer of the company itself, outputs image data of a customer, receives the image data from a scanner or the like of the company itself, measures the color of the image, calculates L a b value, and converts the difference from a color sample printed and output by the customer into a difference based on a color difference Δ E, CMYK%, thereby making it possible to easily check the difference in print reproduction and the amount of color correction.

Thus, even a customer from a remote place can perform color correction based on the color sample data. When images are compared by color measurement, the color measurement error of the two images can be set to be within approximately 0.1 by setting the pixel shift to be within 1 pixel by the "image-Matching processing function" for performing image registration.

The image resolution is, for example, 200dpi as a reference, but there are cases where the color measurement accuracy varies depending on differences in resolution, patterns in the pattern, and places where the gradation varies, and the like, and therefore, it is desirable to unify the resolutions.

The second majority color and the first minority color have different numbers of color blocks, but some of the first corresponding color charts perform coordinate transformation of L a b values of measured color values based on a measured color value table of the majority specific color charts obtained by measuring colors of an input image such as a scanner, so that color correction data such as a ctp (computer to plate) curve or the like is created based on the measured color values of the first minority color charts with high accuracy, and color reproduction such as a sample can be performed during printing.

Next, a method of managing a spot color outside a gamut that is not included in a specific color chart will be described. The present invention is characterized by being capable of matching colors within the color gamut of colorimetric values of a specific color chart with high accuracy. In addition, as an embodiment of the present invention, a dedicated colorimeter can be used to perform colorimetry of a plurality of color charts having different color gamuts and colors independently and add the colorimetries to one input color gamut table and one target color gamut table, thereby performing color management of spot colors. Thus, even when color measurement is performed on a color in a color gamut exceeding the color measurement value of the specific color chart, a highly accurate color measurement value is obtained.

Therefore, even for spot colors exceeding the color gamut of the CMYK process inks, the color space in which color measurement can be performed with high accuracy can be expanded. Further, color measurement can be performed easily in accordance with a spot color by using a color chart or the like in which a color chart printed with a spot color ink having a wide color gamut or a spot color is pasted to a chart lining paper. Fig. 17 shows an enlarged color gamut of a colorimetric image obtained by combining a plurality of specific color charts (IT8.7/4+ gradation charts) with spot color charts showing the shades of the spot color inks of the respective colors. Here, the spot color card (チップ) is a sample color card that can be cut into small pieces of a picture obtained by printing a spot color ink at 100% full (Solid) or a part of dots. Here, the spot color chart represents a chart including a plurality of patches for representing a plurality of gradations of color between 100% of dots of a spot color ink having a high chroma and 100% to 0% of dots of a cured dot color ink.

However, if a spot color chart including an additional spot color is arranged and only spot colors extremely distant from existing CMYK colorimetric values in a color space are input, it is often impossible to detect a color in a color space having a large color difference, and there is a possibility that accuracy of a correction value is deteriorated. Therefore, it is desirable to arrange that the color difference calculated by dividing the color difference between each color patch by the L value is Δ E5 or less. The conventional ICC method can also perform color measurement of an input color target (IT8.7/2) other than the color gamut, such as a spot color chart, but is only a predictive value.

Therefore, in the present system, a method of supplementing the color space of a spot color can be performed by using the target chromaticity table of the colorimetric values of the spot color chart for colors that are not included in the color gamut of the color chart based on CMYK process colors. Such a method is a method that is not available in the ICC (it is necessary to use a scanner that can numerically and sufficiently discriminate color differences in a wide color gamut color space), and color matching accuracy may not be sufficient for colors with a wide color gamut.

The colorimetric values of individual colors such as spot colors having high lightness and chroma outside the gamut that is not included in the second majority specific color chart and the first minority specific color chart are obtained by using a spot color chart (with an extended ID) obtained by extending the gamut of the first and second colorimetric value tables, and the first colorimetric values obtained by performing the colorimetric conversion on the image input device having a narrow gamut such as RGB so as to be the first colorimetric values obtained by performing the measurement on the dedicated colorimetric device having a wide colorimetric gamut. Further, by adding a spot color to the colorimetric values of the first few specific color charts, not only the most specific color charts but also the few specific color charts can cope with colorimetric values of a wider color gamut. However, since it is difficult to perform color measurement of almost all spot colors outside the gamut in practical use, color measurement accuracy outside the gamut is improved by performing color measurement on a color chart representing the entire gamut including a large number of spot color patches by the IEXYZ input device and adding a color measurement value to be supplemented to the first few specific color charts.

If a vivid color located outside the color gamut of the created input chroma table and the target chroma table based on the CMYK process inks is colorimetrically performed using a specific color chart based on the CMYK process inks, the accuracy with which the colorimetric values exceed the values of the color gamut is reduced, so that it is necessary to create a new colorimetric value table that uses a spot color chart based on a spot color ink with a high chroma and additionally integrates the new colorimetric value table into the input and target chroma tables based on the CMYK process inks to improve the colorimetric accuracy in a wide color gamut.

Spot color inks are often brighter than CMYK process inks, and therefore spot color mixing ratio color charts incorporating color charts obtained by interlacing spot color inks and CMY inks are sometimes used. For example, when creating a chart, printing is performed using spot color ink instead of K ink, and similarly, a color measurement table of a specific color chart created by performing color measurement by an RGB input device, a spectrophotometer, or the like, and a color measurement value table created by measuring with a spectrophotometer or the like are created.

The created color measurement value table based on a spectrophotometer or the like, and the color measurement value table created from the spot color chart image input by the input machine are not merged with the color measurement value table of the CMYK process ink of the same print medium and are separately stored. Further, regarding "the colorimetric position is CMYK ink only" or "CMY color interlaced with spot color", the colorimetric position is compared by superimposing TIFF image data of a template including spot color, thereby automatically selecting either one of a "colorimetric value table including spot color" and a "colorimetric value table of CMYK only" to display an optimum colorimetric value. The dot% ink correction amount can be calculated by performing color measurement table conversion based on the values of L α b obtained as described above, and calculating CMYK and spot colors. When the CIP3-PPF file (job management information for transmission to the printing press, including an image obtained by thickening printing plate data for obtaining a pattern area of CMYK images necessary for ink amount calculation) is used as a reference file, since the image file includes a spot color, if image registration processing such as registration with an image input by an input device is performed and then color measurement is performed on the pattern, it is possible to determine whether or not the actual image data includes the spot color by comparison with the PPF, and thus separation of the spot color and the black plate (スミ plate) is easily performed as in the case of the TIFF image.

A method of creating a spot color chart used in CCS will be described. Spot color charts were previously produced by ordering spot color inks from ink manufacturers and printing spot color charts. On the other hand, in the spot color system of the present invention, chart lining paper is produced, a color chart set such as a color guide sold or provided by printing is produced from an ink manufacturer, and color charts necessary for each customer or printing company are cut and produced. Further, a sheet piece (piece) of paper of a color desired by a printing orderer can be added and pasted to a chart mount to produce a spot color chart, and a dedicated spot color chart corresponding to the desire of a customer (printing orderer) can be produced with excellent printing accuracy and low cost without requiring a long production time.

If the spot color chart is subjected to color measurement by a dedicated color measurement machine and a general-purpose image input machine, a color measurement value table is created, and color conversion is performed by CCE, color measurement can be performed on spot color ink with high accuracy. Thus, a dedicated spot color chart requiring extra cost for collecting spot colors for printing companies can be easily created at low cost. Further, as described above, since the printing of the special spot color chart based on the spot color ink is not required, the long time required for the chart creation time is significantly reduced.

By using the CCE, not only a place where a print product is displayed by a print orderer (customer), but also a desired color sample is accurately measured in an illumination environment where a customer, which is a customer of the print orderer, sees the print product. The color card of the color guide, the printed matter of the previous time, the printed matter printed by other companies, the output produced by the ink jet printer, and the like can be accurately measured for a desired color under the illumination environment specified by the printing orderer. Therefore, the order for color correction and the color indication which have been transmitted only by the ambiguous word so far can be performed by using the numerical value. Further, since the color sample can be input by a scanner or the like and transmitted to a printing factory in a remote place, it is possible to accurately print, in a short time, a color (hereinafter referred to as a "requested color") that a customer or a print orderer who is necessary for color management of printing desires to request color reproduction.

Between different RGB input devices depending on the device, accurate color measurement can be performed by using CCE to set the color output from the first (client) color printer as the client request color, and performing color space conversion to the color measurement value of the reference dedicated color measurement device so that the same color measurement value is obtained by the other RGB input devices.

If this function is applied, and a scanner or the like of a customer inputs an image of a color of a sample print or the like representing a color requested by the customer, and an input chromaticity table and a color acquisition table are prepared in advance, the scanner or the like can be used instead of a color measuring machine to digitize colors of important patterns, marks, and the like. Further, by preparing the input chromaticity table and the target chromaticity table in advance, when a sample print indicating a requested color of a customer is transmitted in a printing process of a printing company, it is possible to directly perform color conversion into a value obtained by performing color measurement by a dedicated color measurement device such as a spectrophotometer serving as a color measurement reference of the printing company. Therefore, the color of the important position of the sample print representing the requested color of the customer can be transmitted in the printing process with an accurate numerical value. Similarly, since the printing company associates the color measurement value of the scanner or the like of the company with the reference color measurement device in advance, even if there is no color sample from the customer, the scanner or the like of the printing company can input the color sample image from the customer and the print (proof) in the company and compare and evaluate the important color.

Further, the ink manufacturer provides color chart (color block) information and ink information of the company from the cloud server. The color chart (color block) information includes color space information based on L a b values of color chart (color block) numbers, and the ink information includes information on the composition ratio of each of C, M, Y, and K inks, the composition ratio of a spot color, whether or not the ink has heat resistance and light resistance, and the like. The customer can also make necessary special color chart based on the color table (color block) information and the ink information. The color space information of the value L a b is set as a requested color of the customer, and can be used as a reference for reproduction of a print color by a printing company. In a system for realizing a requested color, a method of realizing color reproduction requested by a customer by using a sample pattern or a color chart of a sample print from the customer without using a color chart is also used.

The flow of actual image data conversion and the method of using the colorimetric value table will be described with reference to fig. 18, which is a flowchart for reproducing a requested color of a customer. When a dedicated colorimeter is replaced with a scanner of a customer, the data (CMYK) of the small number of specific color charts is a printout output by a printer of the customer or a first small number of specific color charts printed by a printing company and both of which are input by a first RGB input device (of the customer). Also, a first few specific color data is color measured by a color transform engine (CCE) to create a first input chroma table.

On the other hand, in the printing company, the second RGB input device of the printing company inputs the printed matter of the plurality of specific color charts obtained by printing the second plurality of specific color chart data by the printer, and the CCE converts the printed matter into a colorimetric value to create an input chromaticity table. Next, the customer's output prints of the first few specific color charts and the second most specific color charts printed by the printing company are color measured by the reference color measuring machine of the printing company, and two target color charts are created.

When comparing the colors of the print sample and the proof sample or the print, the CCE is provided with 2 input chromaticity tables and 2 target chromaticity tables corresponding to the respective images input by the first RGB input device and the second RGB input device, whereby the difference between the color difference (Δ E) and the CMYK% is calculated based on the L × a × b value obtained by the color measurement by the reference color measurement device of the printing company, and the first measurement value is set as the requested color (of the customer), whereby the color difference can be confirmed. If there is a color difference in the second colorimetric values, a color correction image can be easily obtained by performing color conversion by CCE by using an input chroma table corresponding to original image data for matching with the requested hue.

If there is a fear that the color outputted from the printer of the customer changes with time, the customer must print a small number of specific color charts at once when printing a color sample, and the printed matter is transferred to the printing company. And then, an accurate color measurement result is obtained by using the input color chart obtained by correcting the color measurement value. When a print sample is printed by a third person, the same paper or an article classified into the same paper is selected in advance from an input chromaticity table created by inputting a small number of specific color charts printed on various kinds of paper by an input device of a customer and a target chromaticity table created by inputting a large number of specific color charts printed on various kinds of paper by an input device of a third person, and placed in a CCE, thereby performing accurate color measurement and color comparison.

Further, by converting the color reproduction characteristics of the printer of the print orderer into an attribute file, the print attribute file of the print company is placed in the printer of the print orderer, and the print reproduction can be simulated as the color reproduction of the color output from the printer of the customer. This allows the customer, who is mainly a designer or an advertisement agency, to confirm in advance the difference between the requested color and the print reproduction color. However, in order to ensure this, it is necessary to perform color evaluation of a requested color in an accurate lighting environment, and thus CCS is used for color management.

In order for a customer to obtain confirmation of the color of a proof and final approval (corrected) of correction, a proof output or Print Data (PDF) is created before creating print data, and a signature that has been corrected, that is, a corrected signature, needs to be acquired. However, in many cases, although there is a case where the customer receives a desire for color correction and the responsibility correction is completed (approval of responsibility correction), it is very difficult to verbally transmit a minute difference indicating color correction at the printing site.

Therefore, software loaded with color correction instruction transmission means and color correction paper instructions for color correction capable of indicating the direction of movement in the color space obtained by color correction (for example, the degree of red increase in the color of a commodity, etc.) by the direction of correction of color, numerical representation of the amount of correction, color sample cards, patch data (colorimetric values), and the like can be installed in advance in the PC of the customer. The color correction instruction can also be made online via the internet.

If a color that cannot be reproduced is indicated during printing even if a color correction instruction is given, software is developed, and a monitor display function such as a marker display, a blinking (blinking) display, and an alternate single display or a composite display of a reference image and a comparison image is used to display on a monitor screen a portion of the color of a responsibility corrected image and a color corrected image that have been approved by a customer through color correction. In addition, if the software instructs the portion of the responsibility correction image and the color correction image displayed on the monitor to be clicked or the like with a mouse or other input device, the difference in color is displayed as a color difference Δ E, two colors are compared and displayed as color patches, and the degree of color correction of the pattern is set to a numerical value so as to be visually understood on the monitor screen. Alternatively, in the software, the customer or anyone can compare colors of two patterns of the responsibility correction image and the color correction image in an aligned manner, or perform color measurement or compare colors by numerical values, thereby serving as a color correction instruction transmission means for accurately performing color instruction.

If emphasis is placed on color reproduction using spot color ink, a spot color patch is subjected to color measurement by an input device such as a dedicated color measuring device or a scanner, and a spot color name and a spot color ink color code are assigned to the spot color patch when the spot color is registered and stored, thereby enabling color display. The color names and spot color ink color codes may also be used with the color names and spot color ink color codes of various ink manufacturers. In the information registered by the color name and spot ink color code, the L a b value of a spot color and the composition of ink including white ink and black ink information included in the spot color (basic ink code, name, mixing ratio of combination, ratio of medium and solvent in gravure ink, etc.) are included. The registered spot color can be numerically compared as a reference color with a color difference of colors in the pattern of the actual printed matter, or can be freely superimposed on the pattern as a color chart for comparison.

In addition, when color correction is performed, an order instruction of some color correction is given to a part of colors and is accepted by responsibility correction in many cases. How to grasp the perceived color correction amount that does not depend on numerical values in the case of such responsibility correction approval is a big problem in the present situation, and there are many cases where a claim is made when a printed matter is delivered.

As a method for eliminating this, software has been developed which can simulate and display responsibility check approved colors by "color change/guide" for color reproduction when the color of an image is corrected in the direction of each color space, and which causes a printer of a printing subscriber to output and request confirmation. The print orderer is requested to determine the color space direction to be color corrected, and thereby finds the range or limit of the color difference that can be agreed by Δ E, CIEDE2000 for approval of color reproduction for responsibility correction. Further, by transmitting the print image of the color to be the target of the color correction to the color correction clerk of the print data of the printing company at the time of the print data correction, the color correction direction can be transmitted as the print image at the printing site, or by actually performing color measurement, the accurate transmission of the color correction method by numerical values can be performed.

Further, even if color correction is performed, some color correction orders are given to a part of colors, and this is often accepted by responsibility correction. In the present situation, this is a big problem if the color correction amount is grasped in the case of such responsibility correction approval, and there are many cases where a claim is made when a printed matter is delivered. As a method for eliminating this, a color tone change/guidance (see fig. 19) function of color simulation software is developed, a reference color is arranged at the center, and a printer of a printing orderer outputs a color tone change of color reproduction obtained by correcting colors of an image in various color directions and requests confirmation. And requests the print orderer to determine the direction of the color to be corrected. Thus, by finding an expected value for color reproduction and bringing back a print image of a color to be a target of color correction to the company (printing company) at the time of correction, the color correction method can be transmitted as a print image at the printing site, or by actually performing color measurement, accurate transmission of the color correction method by numerical values can be performed.

Fig. 20 shows a configuration in which, when a color measuring machine measures a color of a position to be corrected by a customer in a pattern of a printed matter and confirms a direction of a color space to be corrected, if a desired color of the above-described "color change/guide" is selected on a monitor of a PC, a "digital color chart" of the desired color is displayed in the center of the pattern. Since the "digital color chart" can be freely moved to a position to be compared, if the color impression differs depending on the pattern superimposed on the position to be color-corrected, the color can be further changed by "color change/guide", and the desired color can be determined by freely changing the color until the desired color is found. When a desired color is determined, the amount of color correction at the time of printing is displayed by the color difference based on Δ L, Δ a, and Δ b, the difference between CMYK%, or the lightness/chroma/hue of the munsell system hue-related ring. Meanwhile, the color correction amount can be transmitted by the value of L a b or CMYK% in the printing process. In addition, when it is necessary to reproduce a color of the mark of the customer, the product color, and the like selected in the future, the selected color is registered by the "color change/guide" and can be displayed as a "digital color chart" at any time.

Further, the "simple color correction instruction software" developed separately may have a layer such as a color correction instruction in which a single customer freely writes a pattern, such as superimposing images, and may instruct the user on the monitor screen of the PC by using a function of writing the contents of the color correction instruction or by writing the instruction by handwriting (see fig. 21 ← fig. with correction |). If the simple color correction instruction software is available, the display of the color correction instruction image data and the display of the color correction evaluation result review image can be switched. Further, images before and after correction can be displayed in a wobbling and tilting manner, and color differences in the measured color values can be confirmed from numerical values.

In the "simple color correction instruction software", it is possible to perform color simulation based on the values of the reference images, the difference in dot gain, the display of the ink correction amount for each ink sheet, and the color correction instruction, in the case of performing display based on the difference between Δ E, Δ L, Δ a, Δ b, and CMYK%, or in the case of performing super viewer function as display software with operation and display switching function developed for the printing operator.

In the color instruction job by the CCS, the clerk or the advertisement agency who is the print order customer as described above may transmit or transmit image data obtained by inputting a printed matter to be a print sample by a scanner or the like of the company to the printing company, and the printing company may automatically acquire color adjustment data from the received print sample image data by using the CCS. Therefore, since the color required by the customer can be reproduced on the monitor or the print, the result of the color correction matching the color of the sample can be confirmed and the print can be performed. In this case, the printing company needs to create an input chromaticity table in advance, in which a reference colorimeter (such as a spectrophotometer) of the company performs colorimetry on the same specific color chart as RGB image data of the specific color chart input by a scanner or the like of the printing orderer.

If there is a color that cannot be color-reproduced by the printing company, the display and color evaluation report in the 3D color space that notifies that part of the color cannot be reproduced is displayed and output by the printing company using the aforementioned "simple color correction instruction software", and therefore both the customer and the printing company can check the problem point of color reproduction before printing and further perform color correction. Further, in the printing company, by using the input color chart (created last time) in which the print output from the proof press of the company is associated with each of the image data input from the scanner of the company and the print image data received from the print orderer, it is possible to output the color comparison, the color evaluation, and the color evaluation report for 2 images at once on the monitor screen connected to the CCE and the PC.

The print sample subjected to the automatic color correction of the CCS receives the corrected signature of the print orderer, and then performs the color correction of the actual image data. In this case, the color measurement value table in which L × a × b color measurement is performed on the color reproduction printed on the specific color chart output from the printer of the print orderer is converted into a format accepted by the attribute file creation software, and the print attribute file in which the requested color is set as the target color measurement value is created. Using the created new print attribute file, the CTP plate output is performed with the function of color-converting the current C, M, Y, K (each dot%) values into C, M, Y, K (each dot%) necessary for color reproduction of the requested color at the time of RIP output, and the color correction is completed. This enables printing based on the requested color to be started. The series of jobs are incorporated into the RIP by using CCS devices, or information is processed in cooperation with connection. Moreover, the RGB image data can be subjected to color conversion matching the intended lighting environment at the resolution of the RIP. Fig. 24 shows a concept of RIP used in the color conversion system according to the present invention. As shown in fig. 24, the RIP unit may be configured to include the color conversion module of the present system, and the RIP and the CCS may be configured independently. A CMM mounted on a conventional RIP performs color management in accordance with printing conditions, and is used to create appropriate print data. The CCE of the present system is used independently as a color conversion engine that varies in the conventional CMM for RIP. The color conversion engine is characterized in that it is possible to create print data that matches a completely different lighting environment and can perform color reproduction similar to that of print reproduction based on a general color temperature of 5000K, and that it is possible to perform color reproduction matching the lighting environment of a place where a printed matter is viewed, thereby increasing the utility value in printing.

In the printing company, although color reproduction inspection of a printed matter delivered by a customer is important, since color correction is automatically corrected by using a specific color chart, the necessity of customer confirmation is reduced. However, if the print orderer does not perform color measurement on an important pattern such as a photograph and a logo of a printed matter and confirms in advance whether or not the print reproduction is possible, the color reproduction is not possible during printing if the pattern is outside the color gamut when converting from RGB to CMYK, which may cause trouble, and therefore, it is necessary to explain this to a customer before printing and find a solution such as a compromise or selection of a wide color gamut ink or a spot color.

Therefore, when comparing a color sample print and DTP data (PDF, etc.) for printing received from a print orderer with a print output from a proof press of the company, color measurement is performed on the color of any part of a plurality of positions in a pattern in color evaluation software developed for determining whether or not the color of a position to which a customer pays attention is within an allowable range (for example, a predetermined color difference Δ E), the color is automatically measured at a uniform interval and a predetermined color measurement spot size at a maximum of about 1 ten thousand positions over the entire surface of the pattern, the average or maximum color difference is checked, and the color is output in a color quality evaluation certification called a guaranteed color, thereby eliminating color troubles.

In addition, when there is a color that cannot be reproduced in advance in a print sample, it is important to numerically indicate how much color difference the color matches in the 3D stereoscopic color space, confirm whether the print result differs from an expected difference before printing, and accept the customer's approval. When the color correction is performed, it is similarly checked whether or not the corrected color is close to the color desired by the subscriber, and the color is corrected and then outputted to the sample again after performing the DTP (Desk Top Publishing) designing process and the RIP (raster over print) processing again in some cases. When the color is out of the gamut of the printed RGB color space, a numerical evaluation result of the color quality evaluation proof for evaluating the color is transmitted to a customer or the like as described above, and a claim for color can be prevented by notifying the limit of color reproduction. In addition, in the CCS, a calibration table of spectral characteristics matching the lighting environment required by the customer is used to convert the spectral characteristics into colorimetric values of a printed matter or the like under the lighting, or a user is requested to make a judgment using a notebook PC or the like using color conversion simulation software, and the result is easy to understand. The spectral characteristic correction table is a table in which an input chromaticity table and a target chromaticity table are combined to convert a measured color value obtained from the spectral characteristic of the illumination light at the time of color measurement by a color measuring device or at the time of input by an input device into a measured color value obtained from the spectral characteristic of the illumination light of interest.

In a device-specific color space specific to a device such as an RGB input device, a color obtained by the RGB input device or the like has a specific color and is therefore not handled as a reference color. Therefore, colors corresponding to the respective colors, which can be measured by using the spectral characteristics of the illumination light based on M1 which is the new ISO standard (5000K) illumination light, are compared by using a specific color chart for color measurement, and the colors are measured by various dedicated color measuring devices such as a spectrophotometer, and evaluated by a statistical method described later. For these color measurements, a dedicated color measurement machine corresponding to a reference is selected. For example, a specific colorimetric reference machine is used as a reference for a specific colorimetric machine which displays similar L × a × b colorimetric values in a spectrophotometer, based on each colorimetric value obtained by measuring colors of a plurality of specific color charts by a plurality of further specific colorimetric machines of each manufacturer, and a plurality of types of such machines are selected. The statistical methods described herein include the calculation of various statistical values, such as mean, median, or mode.

Then, the model of the reference colorimetric machine is selected based on the L x a x b values obtained by the color measurement of the reference dedicated colorimetric machine, and the value of L a x b obtained from the central value or the most frequent value of the color measurement statistics of these plural colorimetric machines is defined as "general L a b value".

Further, the value converted into a commonly defined color space such as Adobe-RGB or sRGB is defined as a "general RGB value" based on the "general L × a × b value". Further, a value obtained by converting "general L × a × b value" into CMYK values is defined as "general CMYK values".

The specific color chart is input by an RGB input device or the like, and is converted from CCS into a "universal RGB value" independent of the device based on the obtained colorimetric values specific to the device as described above, and used for distribution/storage of color information.

In the case where the CIEXYZ camera is used to input the color measurement of the dedicated specific color chart, the CIEXYZ value can be converted into L × a × b value (taking into account the spectral characteristics of the illumination light) by the following three-dimensional color coordinate conversion formula. Further, the dedicated color chart table is created by a spectrophotometer or the like serving as a reference value, and the L × a × b value is corrected, whereby the dedicated color measuring device can be used for measuring the color of the general-purpose L × a × b.

[ formula 2]

L*=116(Y/Yn)^1/3-16

a*=500{(X/Xn)^1/3-(Y/Yn)^1/3}

b*=200{(Y/Yn)^1/3-(Z/Zn)^1/3}

In the case of the D50 light source, Xn is 98.072; yn is 100; zn 118.225, when using D65 illuminant, Xn 95.045; yn is 100; zn 108.892.

The RGB input device or the like thus far performs color measurement on a specific color chart generated from a medium and a colorant used when various target color gamut tables stored in the databases of CCS and CCS are created, creates an input color gamut table, and performs color conversion using CCEs. Therefore, by outputting the "universal RGB value" which becomes the reference of the color independent of the device, the device-dependent input device can be utilized.

Fig. 22 is a flowchart showing generation of various general-purpose image data by the CCS. Since the image of the specific color chart obtained by the RGB input device or the like on the left side of the drawing contains RGB colorimetric values unique to each RGB input device, the colorimetric value table creating unit creates an input color table by converting the RGB colorimetric value into a unique la b value. Next, the colorimetric values of the respective colors serving as references are obtained by the plurality of dedicated colorimetric machines and the statistical method.

First, a specific color chart created based on a color tile in which a difference from a colorimetric value of a color tile (color chart with a small change with age) serving as a color reference is described, and a colorimetric value table thereof are prepared for the specific color chart. Next, in a reference colorimetric environment, the plurality of specific color charts are subjected to color measurement by a plurality of dedicated color measuring machines conforming to ISO, and the difference in the color measurement values is statistically processed to obtain a "general la b value". As described above, the target chromaticity table obtained by considering the color difference with respect to the measured color value of the color tile which changes very little with time is used as the color standard, and the target chromaticity table is used as the color standard of the "common RGB value" common to RGB described below.

The "common L a b value" based on the measurement values of a plurality of specific color charts prepared individually for each of the colorants and the media by the statistical method described above is further converted into a CIEXYZ color space defining an RGB color space of a specific color temperature, and the RGB values calculated thereafter are referred to as "common RGB values". In the case of using the first few specific color charts, a plurality of measurement persons convert the respective measurement values of the colors measured by the respective different measurement devices into RGB values of the common reference. The RGB image data converted using the common specific color table is referred to as "common RGB image data", and is stored or distributed as image/video information. The colors not present in the first few specific color charts are transformed and complemented (supplemented) based on the measured values of the second many specific color charts.

Further, color conversion is performed on an RGB image using a common RGB value of illumination light called reference, such as 5000K or 6500K, thereby forming an absolute value RGB image DB (database) of a common device-independent color space, and information distribution of RGB images is widespread. Further, since color reproduction can be converted to another illumination light color temperature and spectral characteristics by using CCE, the archived image or video theoretically becomes a reference color in an absolute value color space, and even if only an output (display) attribute file such as an output printer (monitor) is prepared, it becomes original data that can be accurately reproduced even if it is stored for 1000 years, for example.

Fig. 23 (color space diagram comparing differences of various color gamuts) is a diagram showing various color gamuts of bt.2020, which is a new specification, DCI/P3, which is a color space specification of digital cinema, Adobe-RGB, and process ink (CMYK). Input devices such as a general RGB digital camera, an RGB scanner, and a wide color gamut bt.2020 4K, 8K camera often output in accordance with the sRGB color space, Adobe-RGB color space, and bt.2020 color space, but the color of an input RGB image differs depending on the spectral characteristics of each filter, sensor, or light source of each company, and therefore, by using CCS, the use of a "spectral characteristic correction table" for realizing color reproduction in a target illumination environment and the standardization of image colors obtained by the input devices of each company are required, and the reliability of colors can be improved.

That is, by setting a standard for the common RGB value, changing the RGB values of the individual devices which are different from each other to the RGB values of the common standard, and standardizing the image colors obtained by the input devices of the companies, and by setting the common RGB value, it is possible to eliminate the trouble of colors in the common RGB database and the information flow of the common RGB image, and the like, and to achieve convenience for the user. Further, the bt.2020 gamut is defined as general bt.2020, and is set to a color gamut specification larger than the RGB color gamut, and the process is performed in the same manner as general RGB. In this case, since the reference color temperature of bt.2020 is 6500K and the reference color temperature of RGB is 5000K, color temperature conversion by CCS is required. The color temperature transformation is also performed using the target chromaticity table.

The common RGB serving as the reference of RGB functions when the input image of the input device is used as the reference color image, but if there is a common CMYK serving as the reference color during output, the common RGB serving as the reference of RGB can be used as the attribute file or LUT serving as the common reference. The LUT here is a look-up table for color conversion processing, and is a conversion table containing different values corresponding to respective input values.

However, for example, japan is based on JAPANCOLOR in the printing field, but only a part of it has been adopted. Similarly, in the newspaper field, the JMPA colors in the field of magazine advertisements, NSACs corresponding to the offset rotary press are not standardized into a comprehensive device attribute file in which reproduction of these print colors is unified even in japan. Further, in the printing field around the world, there are various standards in each country such as G7 in the united states (a color printing management method in which specifications for web offset printing and specifications for commercial sheet processing printing are unified in 2007), and FOGRA in germany ("ISO 12647-2" is certified as an international specification related to offset printing, and is based on the dot gain emphasis type management of "ISO 12647-2"/150 line).

Therefore, a specific color chart based on color reproduction of CMYK standards for each printing standard is created, and the generic CMYK values are obtained by converting CCE based on the generic la b values obtained by the above-described method. In order to use the common CMYK values, a plurality of kinds of specific color charts are printed using various inks and printing conditions based on various standard printing standards. Color measurement is performed on each color patch of a plurality of kinds of specific color charts under the printing conditions, and a standard color measurement value is obtained by a statistical method for the obtained plurality of kinds of color measurement values. Further, the standard colorimetric values are aligned to the standard intermediate print property file and are converted into a database, and the database is converted into an output intermediate property file based on each country and industry and used. Therefore, the universal CMYK, and the intermediate attribute file for output based on each country or industry are stored in the CCS database and used. The intermediate property file is a print property file that enables common color reproduction.

This makes it possible to process the common CMYK values as a more standard output color management standard. As described above, the conventional intermediate output property file is converted from the common CMYK values and used, so that the intermediate output property file can be used as a bridge to the output intermediate property file based on the world countries and the industry. Further, by performing conversion from the common CMYK to various printing standards, color management of printing under various printing standard environments is facilitated, such as color correction instruction information, correction amount of dot gain, and correction instruction of ink amount to be printed, by performing color evaluation with respect to various printing standards, and an environment of integrated color management is provided in which printing and printing can be performed with the same color anywhere in the world. Further, the print job performed by the printer or the printing press can be managed in the same color for all the regions in the world.

In order to realize a universal CMYK, first, using an RGB input device, an L a b (spectroscopic colorimeter), or an XYZ colorimeter and a CCE, it is possible to convert the L a b conversion value of a printed product obtained by colorimetry measurement performed by each input device or dedicated colorimeter into a universal L a b value. In other words, a universal color measurement environment is prepared, and by using these methods, a specific color chart and IT8.7/4 chart are printed in each country and in each printing standard (L × a × b value, dot gain, and the like of each CMYK full-page area). Further, the common CMYK is assigned as a CMYK common attribute file for each country and industry, and the reference value L a b can be used as a clear print attribute file. Further, by using the common CMYK, even if different printing standards are used, the input device of the company and the dedicated color measuring device are combined with the CCS, and thus it becomes easy to compare the colors of each CMYK interlace by the common value of L × a × b, or to perform color conversion between different CMYK standards, so that colors can be easily unified with each other. In actual operation, input values obtained from a specific input device are converted into L × a × b values, and the generic L × a × b values obtained by the above-described method are converted into CMYK color spaces represented by L × a × b values based on the generic L × a × b values by using target color charts for each of the colorants, light sources, and media, and are used.

As described above, conversion into CMYK of various industry standards such as JAPANCOLOR in the industry is also performed from the common CMYK values, and a printed matter that realizes similar color reproduction in a desired lighting environment can be obtained. As described above, the CMYK values serving as the reference common CMYK values can be converted into colorimetric values for the print property file serving as the reference for each country using the conversion LUT.

As described above, by using the common color charts L a b, the common RGB, and the common CMYK, for example, in any place in the world, the specific color charts are printed on the printers of the printing plant at a remote place, and the printed data is transmitted from the management center to the printing data of each printer of each printing plant by using the CCS, and the specific color charts are used by the printers of each printing plant, so that a print color management network system for providing printed matters with almost no color change even if each printer of any printing plant performs printing can be constructed.

Next, a case where CCS is incorporated in a camera will be described. When a digital camera, a camera built in a smartphone, or a bt.2020-standard 4K, 8K camera having a color area wider than RGB is used as a color measuring device, if an image is acquired with the entire field angle capable of photographing (input) as an image, the illuminance of illumination light is not uniform, and the incident angle changes in the center and the periphery, and therefore, a stable color measurement value cannot be obtained. In particular, when different papers and colorants are compared, there is a case where the difference between the center and the periphery of the subject is large.

Therefore, there is a problem that white spots, contrast, and gradation occur over the entire surface and color unevenness occurs regardless of the position of the illumination light. Therefore, improvement is made by either attaching a long illumination shade so that the irradiation axis of the illumination light is 45 degrees, thereby blocking light spreading around the circumference so that the incident angle of the light becomes constant on the printed matter or the specific color chart surface, or by limiting the range in which unevenness is not generated (within the average difference Δ E0.3) as the colorimetry range.

As another method, since the difference between the periphery and the vicinity of the center of the captured image is corrected, the entire image is divided vertically and horizontally into a matrix (for example, 7 × 7-49 division), an ID is given to the color chart of each divided image, automatic color measurement is performed on a small number of specific color charts for each region, and if there is a difference in color reproduction, an "input color gamut" is created for each region. In other words, color conversion is performed using different "input color gamut" for each divided region, thereby correcting color reproduction unevenness of the entire photographic screen. When determining the number of matrix divisions, first, an "unevenness detection chart" in which a color chart of 5% to 100% (solid) of paper white and a colorant (in the case of printing CMYK inks in a superimposed manner) is combined in a range of about 30 × 42mm is arranged on the entire imaging screen, and this "unevenness detection chart" is imaged, and the size and distribution of unevenness are detected by measuring colors of all color patches to determine a correction value. Further, color correction is performed for each divided region after the incident angle of the illumination light is adjusted, thereby suppressing input unevenness.

The following description shows a general operation example of a printing company. For example, in a printing office, correction paper 1 printed based on DTP data for printing is taken to a customer and corrected. Based on the customer's opinion, color confirmation is performed using the color correction simulator described above, and numerical display is performed in CMYK% and color difference. The color correction data is transmitted from the printing office to the printing head office. In the printing company, the DTP data is color-corrected based on the colorimetric value data of the image on which the customer has performed color correction, and is transmitted to the printing office. In the printing office, the correction paper 2 is printed by a printer that prints on the correction paper 1 based on the DTP data that is color-corrected and transmitted. And (3) measuring the colors of the correction paper 1 and the correction paper 2 by using a color measuring machine, comparing the measured color values, and determining whether the measured color values are within the color difference indicated by color correction. And the staff member of the printing office brings the correction paper 1 and the correction paper 2 on which printing has been performed to the customer for color correction again. This color correction operation is repeated. When the opinion of the customer is corrected or the responsibility correction approval, the corrected or responsibility correction approval is communicated to the printing head office.

And under the condition of finishing correction, making mail contact with the head office, and receiving a confirmation reply mail. In addition, when the responsibility correction is approved, the printed portion subjected to the color correction and the L × a × b value and the color difference or CMYK value of the printed portion are transmitted to the head office, or correction value data at the time of the color simulation is transmitted to the head office. In the print head office, although the correction is completed or the responsibility correction is approved, color correction simulation of the print data is performed according to circumstances, and RIP processing is performed to convert the print data into raster data forming dots from an image or vector data of the print DTP data, by performing final inspection and color correction of the DTP data. Next, a printing plate is output from a CTP (computer to plate) recorder, and the printing plate for CMYK ink or the like is rolled up to a printing press to perform printing. In this case, in the test printing in the printing step, printed matter and corrected paper are input by a scanner or the like, the input RGB image is converted into RGB colorimetric values, the L a b values of the corresponding color patches input by the scanner or the like are converted by using an attribute file or an LUT based on the L a b values of the color patches obtained by the color measurement by the spectrophotometer, and the difference comparison is performed, and if the color difference Δ E value is within a color difference having no problem, printing is performed. If the color difference exceeds the range of the color adjustment in the printing machine, sending data beyond the unadjustable color difference to a prepress department and a DTP department, and performing color correction. Further, it is also possible to confirm by setting a color difference reference in advance for color correction by a printing company and printing by a customer, and to prevent a problem of color mismatch at the time of printing.

Next, an embodiment in which the Color Conversion System (CCS) of the present invention is used in a wide area network or a LAN will be described. A few specific color charts at the site a are subjected to color measurement by a set scanner or the like, and the data is transmitted to the site B or the color measurement server. And B, measuring colors of a plurality of specific color charts in the site, and storing or sending the color charts to a color measuring server. In the CCS in the site B, if the colorimetry server has colorimetry data of the same Job name, a condition table for inputting a lighting environment, a medium, a colorant, and the like created in the chromaticity table or the target chromaticity table is selected, and the colorimetry value and the RGB image are converted into an L × a × B value. In this case, the system may be connected to another CCS server network, select a target color gamut for output, and download and use the selected target color gamut. Alternatively, the target chromaticity table for output may be selected in another CCS server, the input chromaticity table of the company and the image data may be transmitted to the CCS server, color conversion processing (request) may be performed, and the image data whose processing is completed may be received and used.

Several other methods of color measurement using the internet will be described.

The application example is as follows:

1. and measuring the colors of the chart at the site A, and transmitting the data to the site B or a color measuring server.

And 2. performing color measurement on the majority color chart in the site B, and storing or sending the color measurement chart to a color measurement server.

3. In the colorimetric unit, if colorimetric data of the same Job name is provided in the colorimetric server, a colorimetric value table matching the conditions of the lighting environment, medium, colorant, and the like for output is selected and converted into a color difference and an LaBb value for output.

The method of communication access in each step will be described in which color measurement data of a specific color chart is encrypted at necessary timing together with print data and communicated one-way via a network. The network receives the RGB colorimetric data of a specific color chart, and the RGB colorimetric data is converted into universal RGB or universal CMYK colorimetric values according to the universal L A B value by the method. The colorimetric value data of the specific color chart is communicated with the print data (encrypted if necessary) via a network in one-way communication with the subsequent process of another company or sequentially accessed to each process. In addition, in order to perform automatic conversion processing of colorimetric values by a network, label information for specifying a conversion table for automatically converting RGB colorimetric data into CIEXYZ colorimetric values may be added and transmitted.

[ transmitting side (customer side) ]

And (1A) transmitting a colorimetric value obtained by measuring the color of both the first colorimetric chart and the third colorimetric chart by the color measuring machine of the sender to the printing company.

[ receiving side (printing company side) ]

The color conversion method includes the steps of (1B) converting a color into a specific color value using a usage policy as a specific color of a sender or a receiver for a color measurement value of a color measurement chart transmitted from the sender and a color measurement value obtained by a color measurement machine of the receiver performing color measurement on all of the first to third color measurement charts.

[ transmitting side (customer side) ]

And (2) transmitting the image of the first few specific color charts or the third card type specific color chart obtained by the first RGB input machine or the like (and the first calorimetric values obtained by calorimetric measurement) to the printing company.

[ transmitting side (printing company side) ]

And (3) outputting data of the first few color charts or the third card type specific color chart, and transmitting a first colorimetric value obtained by colorimetric-measuring the outputted chart print by the first colorimetric machine and the chart print to a printing company.

[ receiving side (customer side) ]

CIEXYZ values: CIEXYZ values: RGB values: RGB value

Further, by converting the colorimetric value of the "different colorimetric device" to the other colorimetric value at a remote place, a necessary colorimetric value can be easily obtained from any place.

As another example of use, the CCE may use the full reversibility of color conversion, and may set the output side to color encryption. In other words, the reference RGB is converted into a display color by the LUT for encryption conversion. By adding the password to the encryption transformation, the color encryption can be performed in such a manner that the color transformation cannot be decrypted if the password is unknown.

Since the "color evaluation result viewing image" and the "color indication simulation display image" are dedicated data, they cannot be displayed using ordinary image processing software. Even if the image data is erroneously transmitted to another customer, if the password embedded in the image data does not match the ID or the password attached to the registered customer or the "simple color communication tool" or the "color communication software" owned by the person in charge of the company, the image cannot be seen, and the security is ensured.

In addition, the above-mentioned data with the security lock is transmitted, the password is written in another mail, and the data is transmitted separately, or the data is transmitted by using a secure encrypted protection system and using a structure that does not cause information leakage, thereby further improving the security.

A print color management room is provided in a site a (e.g., tokyo), and print factories are provided in B (e.g., Saitama jade), C (e.g., bear), and D (e.g., paris), and if there are a plurality of printers and digital printers, a manufacturer of fashion products, such as tokyo, expects that a print company can print in the same color in any print factory. Such color unification has not been possible so far, and therefore printing has been required in one place and distributed all over the world. However, since accounting for the total logistics cost of a large number of printed matters and the like is taken into consideration, the printed matters are distributed by shipping in countries with low salary. Since it is also used urgently, it is also distributed together by the air mail. However, since a large number of clients performing printing are limited, and local printing is adopted by a network due to the development of a communication network, time and distribution cost can be reduced, and the number of clients performing printing by a network becomes very large. However, at present, there is a big problem that the printing colors cannot be unified.

In this system, for example, in a printing company having a print color management room at a site a and having a plurality of printers at a printing factory of B, C, D, a paper to be printed by a customer and a printed matter obtained by printing with a plurality of color charts by the printers of each factory are sent to the print color management room at a site a in advance. In the print color management room, the best printer and digital printer are set as a reference printer and a reference digital printer, a plurality of specific color charts are printed by the printers, and color measurement is performed by a dedicated color measuring machine of the print color management room, thereby creating a reference target chromaticity table based on L a b value. Then, the dedicated colorimeter of the print color management room performs colorimetry of the transmitted printed products of the plurality of specific color charts of each printing factory, and creates a target chromaticity table indicating colorimetry L × a × b values for each printing press.

In each printing factory, by further providing the CCE with the reference target chromaticity table and the input chromaticity table created by the CCE and the color measurement scanner or the like provided in the printing factory, it is possible to accurately measure the color of the printed matter by the color measurement scanner or the like provided in the printing factory. In actual operation, each factory inputs printed prints from a scanner or the like, compares the sample prints with the printed prints using the measured color value table of the CCE transmitted from the print color management room, and performs ink control of the printing press. Since the confirmed color difference Δ E, CMYK% difference can be displayed on the monitor, the printing operator can easily perform color management. Further, if an on-line interface of a docking printer is used, printing under automatic ink control can be performed after color measurement and analysis.

Fig. 25 is a flowchart for analyzing a difference between colors of a customer color sample and a print image output by a printing company for correction, using a specific color chart in the color evaluation step. Then, based on the difference information of the value L a b and CMYK obtained in these steps, 1, color correction information is output, or CCS correction information parameters are created, and 2, the information is sent to automatic color correction software to directly perform color correction. Further, when partial color correction is necessary, color correction value information can be transmitted to commercially available 3.DTP software for color correction to perform color correction. In this case, if an RGB image, which is an original image obtained from a customer, is used, color conversion of the entire color space can be easily performed as white balance, black balance, gray balance, and color balance.

Further, by converting the difference in color by the property file, it is possible to unify all colors and color samples individually for RGB or CMYK images. In the case of performing such color correction, the customer is requested to add not only a print image of a color sample but also a "CMYK specific color chart" printed and output under the same conditions, and color measurement is performed by a dedicated color measuring machine such as a spectrophotometer, thereby enabling color correction that accurately captures a change in color of the printer. Thereby, the color correction performed by the skilled person up to now can be mechanized, and subjective errors can also be eliminated with respect to the correction of the preference for color.

As the color evaluation method, specific items of color difference of paper white, gray balance, memory color/mark color, color difference of request color, color difference of all color measurement points, total evaluation of all color measurement points, color measurement evaluation under matrix division of paper surface, and non-reproducible color can be evaluated by color difference. Further, the difference in gradation reproduction and the balance in color reproduction of the whole CMYK inks are confirmed by comparing the gray balance and the dot gain, and can be output as information for evaluation and correction of an image.

Here, an actual system configuration and a job procedure for how to print and reproduce colors of a color sample output by a printer of a customer or the like using only a specific color chart with a printer of a printing company will be described.

Fig. 25 is a color unifying flow chart in which a specific color chart is output by the same printer and a majority specific color chart and a minority specific color chart (or card chart) are used instead of a color sample output by a printer or the like of a customer.

The customer uses the "(small number) specific color chart data" and outputs the "(small number) specific color chart input data 1" output by the printer and the "(small number) specific color chart input data 1" read by the scanner or the like of the subscriber, the "RGB scanner input color chart" and the "image data for printing (individual RGB image)" to the printing company.

The printing company creates a "specific color chart color measurement value table (a)" in which the color reproduction of the scanner or the like of the subscriber is represented by the value L a b by a "color measurement value table creation program" using "input data 1 of the specific color chart" and "input color table of the scanner or the like" received from the subscriber.

Next, the printing company measures the color of the "specific color chart" printed and output by the subscriber using a spectrophotometer, and creates a "color measurement value table by a spectrophotometer or the like" in which the color reproduction of the print sample of the subscriber is represented by the value L a b by the "color measurement value table creation program by a spectrophotometer or the like".

Further, the printing company outputs "specific color chart data" by a printer of the printing company, and reads and creates "input data 2 of a specific color chart" by a scanner or the like of the printing company. Further, image superimposition processing of two data, i.e., "input data 2 of a specific color chart" and "(a small number of) input data 1 of a specific color chart" created by a printing company is performed, and RGB values at the same position of all patches of the specific color chart are compared. Next, the RGB values are converted into la b values, and a color chart of the target print medium is subjected to color measurement by a spectrophotometer to create a color measurement value table indicating color reproduction for printing. Using these two color measurement value tables of data 1 and 2, color measurement is performed on different partial colors by L a b, and color correction is automatically or manually performed by a color quality management program derived from various color correction functions such as tone curve (gradation) correction and dot color correction (a function of correcting only a specific narrow range of colors) of an RGB image by the RGB-converted value.

In the following description, a specific color chart output from a proof press of a printing (recipient) company indicates a printable color space, and a specific color chart output from a printer of a customer who is a printing orderer indicates a replacement of a pattern of a color sample (requested color) of the customer. The present invention is directed to a color management method for uniformly automating colors for correcting a difference between a printable color space and a color sample, or for notifying a customer in advance when color reproduction is impossible, and seeking a point of agreement with a color correction range of the customer.

The following machines are required by printing companies to measure colors on a small number or a large number of specific color charts.

1. Spectrophotometer and XY automatic color measuring robot (or self-propelled color measuring system)

2. Color scanner or camera

3. Matrix partition color measuring and color measuring value table creation software (special software)

4. Color correcting software (special software) of color measuring machine

5. Color evaluation and color correction software (Special software)

6. Color communication software (Special software)

7. Print property file creation software

General purpose PC for OS such as Windows

9. Others (DTP software, color correction software, RIP, proofing machine, CTP, printing machine, etc.)

10. Majority specific color chart and minority specific color chart

The equipment system required by the subscriber is configured as a color scanner, a camera, a general-purpose PC such as Windows, a few specific color charts, and the like.

When a print company (order receiver) orders printing by a customer (print order receiver), the following items are received.

1. Print of a few specific color charts:

a printer owned by a customer outputs a printed matter obtained by printing second few specific color chart data (CMYK) shared by the customer and the printing company

DTP data:

converting a printing layout including characters and images into data of a file such as PDF

3. Color sample print for printing (request color): printed matter representing customer request color of the customer's DTP data output by the customer's printer

The print company receives RGB image data obtained by inputting the small number of color charts by a scanner or the like held by the print order person, and converts the RGB image data into L a b image data by using an input attribute file of the scanner or the like. Next, a third color measurement value table (fig. 26) of the print orderer scanner is created by performing color measurement on each color patch of the specific color chart by using a "matrix color measurement function" in which color measurement is performed on all the color patches of the chart collectively. This table becomes the input chromaticity table for the CCEs.

This job can digitize the color reproduction characteristics of the requested color in the scanner or the like of the print subscriber, when the color chart output by the printer of the print subscriber is the requested reference color. Accordingly, since the color characteristics of the output of the printer and the input image characteristics of the scanner, which are owned by the printing orderer, differ from device to device, a large number of specific color charts are measured in advance by dedicated color measuring devices (such as a spectrophotometer, a densitometer, a spectral radiance meter, and a CIEXYZ input device), the measured color values are compared, and an RGB printer, an RGB scanner, or the like recommended by a customer is selected and used based on the color measurement result of the specific color chart obtained by the preliminary test, whereby the accuracy of the measured color values is stabilized.

Similarly, in the printing company, the same data as the few specific color charts output by the printer of the print orderer is output by the proof press of the printing company. Further, RGB image data input from a scanner or the like of a printing company and RGB image data (of a few specific color charts input from the scanner or the like) are converted into L × a × b image data using an input attribute file of the same scanner or the like and a "color conversion program (ICM2.0 or the like)". Next, using a "matrix color measurement function" for collectively measuring colors of all the color patches of the chart, color measurement is performed on each color patch of the specific color chart, and a fourth color measurement value table (fig. 26) showing a color reproduction area of the print of the printing company is created. This table becomes the input chromaticity table for the CCEs. This enables the color reproduction characteristics of a scanner or the like of the printing company to be digitized when the color chart output from the proofing machine of the printing company is set as the reference color.

The printing company uses a dedicated colorimeter (spectrophotometer, spectroradiometer, CIEXYZ input machine, etc.) to perform colorimetry on printed products of a few specific color charts output from a printer of a printing orderer received from the printing orderer and printed products of a few/many specific color charts output from a proofing press of the printing company, and creates a first colorimetric value table of L a b correct for the specific color charts as output products of the two (fig. 26). This table is set as each target chromaticity table. This makes it possible to obtain reference values of L a b of each color chart of the color chart output from the printer of the print orderer and the color chart output from the proofing press of the printing company, and similarly perform color measurement of the print image.

Since accurate color measurement can be performed even with an image such as a scanner as described above, a color measurement value table in the IT8.7-4 chart format that can be read by the normal attribute file creation software is input to the normal attribute file creation software, and an ICC attribute file for printing is created, whereby an attribute file representing a requested color can be created. Since the color of the color space of the attribute file (a) representing the requested color created as described above is reproduced in the color space of the print attribute file (B) of the printing company, for example, in the RIP, by performing a proof output using two attribute files of (a) and (B), color reproduction in the color space of the print can be performed.

This eliminates the need for a small number of printed products of the specific color chart at the next document entry. In other words, only a color sample print product obtained by converting only the DTP data including text and image for printing into a file such as PDF and a requested color indicating the DTP data output by the printer of the customer described above may be delivered. However, it is necessary to always perform constant color reproduction by a printer, a scanner, or the like of the print orderer, and a small number of printed products of a specific color chart and input images of the chart by the scanner or the like can be received at a time even in a difficult situation or until the stability.

If an attribute file of a target printing condition is selected when creating image data for printing, the digital printer can perform color reproduction that matches a printed matter to some extent. However, in the case of a digital printer, the color sample cannot be changed from the color of the print even if the color does not match on the digital printer. Therefore, in the present system, since the color of the pattern of the RGB image as the original plate data can be directly measured, the color can be automatically corrected based on the color evaluation and the designated color and the corrected paper, and the color correction information can be transmitted to the external color correction program using numerical values, the system can be returned to the prepress department of the pre-process of the digital printing and the color correction can be performed manually by the color correction software.

In the case of a digital printer, no color bar or control bar is used in color management, but sufficiently stable color reproduction is possible after calibration of the digital printer. Therefore, color management of a digital printer such as pod (print On demand) must be performed by software that creates print data. Therefore, if an attribute file created using a color chart of a target medium created by digital printing and an attribute file of various printing conditions are created, accurate color measurement can be performed (by conversion of measurement data). Further, if the color decomposition is performed by the attribute file of the other printing condition after the transformation is performed by the attribute file matching the digital printing condition, accurate color transformation data can be created. On the other hand, when the matching of the color adjustment is insufficient, since the color reproduction cannot be controlled as in a normal printing press, the correction of either making the color heavy or making the color light is impossible. In other words, all color correction up to now must be returned to the image correction software on the front side to correct the color of the pattern.

The color management function of the CCS performs automatic correction based on color evaluation, a specified color, and corrected paper after converting the color of the pattern of the RGB image, which is raw data, into a measurement value of a dedicated color measuring machine by direct color measurement. Further, the color correction information may be provided in the prepress process by the following method, or the color correction result may be confirmed by a manual operation using color correction software and the color correction may be performed carefully. The color evaluation method has the following functions of color comparison and color evaluation. Color difference of paper white, gray scale reproduction, comparison of gray balance, memory color, point (partial) color measurement of important colors of a mark color, a commodity, and the like, color difference Δ E of each color measurement point, total evaluation of all color measurement points, matrix color evaluation, and the like.

In particular, when comparing the colors of printed matters of a conventional printing press and printed matters of a digital printing press, there is a problem that the colors of catalogs including colors of a logo and the like are different from each other, and therefore color inspection and color matching alone are essential for important positions of a printing surface. Further, since an accurate color adjustment method can be derived by feeding back color difference data of the printing surface for color adjustment of the entire printing system, it is possible to convert color management of a pattern, which has been conventionally determined by visual observation and includes a digital printer, into numerical inspection based on sensory inspection.

The "matrix colorimetry" first performs image registration (image matching) processing for comparing the sizes and positions of a reference image and a comparison image, and for example, in the case of a printer, in the range of each ink area (a width of a minimum unit of an ink amount can be controlled independently of a paper width of the printer, and the entire pattern having the width is divided into smaller areas), the entire surface of a printed pattern is divided into vertical and horizontal matrices to perform colorimetry, and an average Δ E in each matrix is calculated, and as a result, the images can be displayed in each frame of the matrix in a color-divided manner. In addition, the average L × a × b value in each of the divided matrices is obtained, and after CMYK conversion is performed from the print property file, the difference value of CMYK% is obtained by dividing the CMYK value by the pattern area ratio, and the difference value can be displayed as the ink correction count. The Δ E is calculated as follows.

[ formula 3]

ΔE*ab=〔(ΔL*)2+(Δa*)2+(Δb*)21/2

The average Δ E is calculated as follows.

[ formula 4]

Average Δ E ═

{(ΔE*ab)1+(ΔE*ab)2+(ΔE*ab)3+···(ΔE*ab)n}÷n

Furthermore, by performing color measurement on the entire pattern using the matrix color measurement function, if there is color unevenness of the entire printed matter or a specific printed part where the color difference is large, it is set on the monitor screen that the color changes to be seen reddish in the matrix frame located in the range, and it is possible to instantly determine whether or not there is a problem in the important color part.

After the analysis in matrix units as described above, dot colorimetry of important print pattern positions is performed, and appropriate portions and portions where there is an abnormality are separated to perform color evaluation and analysis. As a means for performing color correction, it is possible to determine in a short time whether color correction is necessary in any of the processes such as color matching by correcting the ink amount, color matching by correcting the CTP curve, and the like.

The CCE of the present embodiment is incorporated in a part of the structure of a digital camera or a smartphone, and can perform the following color management. First, a small-sized spectrophotometer is incorporated in a camera, and photographing is performed for measuring the spectral characteristics of illumination light of a photographing environment of a specific color chart serving as a reference under various conditions. The RAW data image obtained by photographing is transmitted to CCS and CCE of color processing, and by performing common RGB value setting, a target chromaticity table is obtained in which colors as viewed by human eyes under the same illumination conditions as when photographing is performed by a camera under various illumination conditions. Then, the image is taken under the same environment, and a photographed image with a common RGB value is obtained.

Next, if the RGB image of the photographed specific color chart is transmitted to the CCE, L × a × b conversion is performed on the target color measurement value table based on the color measurement values of the color chart registered in advance, and an input color chart conversion is created in an automatic manner.

At the same time, the target chromaticity table and the input chromaticity table created from the combination of these illumination light, color measuring medium, and colorant are saved as a pair in the database.

In the case where an input chromaticity table close to color reproduction of an RGB image of a specific color chart obtained by photographing is located in a database, creation of the input chromaticity table is not required, and if the input chromaticity table is a camera in which CCE is incorporated or connected, the input chromaticity table and a target chromaticity table are automatically selected from the database at once. That is, the same IDs of the respective patches are all individually compared, and the average value of the color difference is calculated. For example, the minimum color difference within Δ E0.3 is selected as the average color difference. Next, if the subject is imaged, the CCE performs color conversion in accordance with RGB data color-reproduced by the illumination light using the selected chromaticity table, converts the L × a × b image or the target color space, and outputs the image.

Fig. 27 is a diagram showing the concept of the above description, but the user cannot easily perform color management as in a camera built in a smartphone and cannot perform color management with high accuracy. Therefore, basically, a plurality of target chromaticity tables and input chromaticity tables are stored as a pair in a database of CCE, and a user can analyze illumination light in a smartphone by using a simple reference chromaticity table.

In the CCE, various color charts representing color reproduction of a reference color chart including latitude areas, seasons, and weather by the GPS are made into a database, so that a target input color chart and a target color chart are automatically found from a database such as a cloud connected to a network on the smartphone side, and an actual target color chart and input color chart are color-converted, whereby an RGB image of an optimal color matching the imaging conditions can be stored. In this case, a white plate or a pocket-sized color chart may be simultaneously photographed so that the change in color reproduction can be corrected by recording the photographing conditions of the camera.

In this way, if CCE is applied to a camera or a smartphone, it is possible to check what the color of clothes or the like seen in a shop looks like under outdoor sunlight, for example, and to use it even when purchasing a product via the internet, thereby reducing the trouble of color.

By mounting the color measurement technique of the pattern of the present system in the smartphone, more people can use the technique, and anyone can easily see the color display of the smartphone in an accurate color.

For example, by displaying the difference in color as a numerical value, for example, by photographing a self-contained garment, a bag, or the like and storing data, and referring to the color matching of the clothes to be purchased in the future while viewing the color of the garment, the bag, or the like, it is possible to accurately display on the display of the smartphone how the color of the garment or the product to be purchased changes due to the difference in illumination such as sunlight, an LED, or a fluorescent lamp. Thus, although the colors have been recognized as blurred or compared with each other by experience and sense, accurate color display can be performed on the display. In addition, the trouble and failure of color are eliminated when the commodity is purchased in a store and in network communication and sale, thereby improving the consumer life.

When a color requested by a customer is transmitted to a printing site of a printing company using a built-in camera such as a smartphone or a digital camera, who can reliably and easily transmit the color if a card-type small color chart is used. The color measurement value obtained by measuring the color of the small-sized color chart with a built-in camera such as a smartphone or a digital camera is compared with the corresponding color of the second few specific color charts or the first many specific color charts, and can be used for color unification or confirmation of change in the color measurement value with time.

In addition, the card-type small color chart has a white point (paper white) serving as a reference of the medium, gray scale, values of R, G, B, C, M, Y, or gray scale thereof, and it is necessary to be a color chart having the same colorimetric values as patches serving as specific colors, which are located in a plurality of specific color charts.

Currently, there are 4 types of liquid crystal displays used in smartphones, namely, the "IPS system", the "VA system", the "organic EL" and the "quantum dot system", and since color development varies, color reproduction is completely different, and it is difficult to reproduce accurate colors. Therefore, although limited to a limited color reproduction space, since color reproduction of a display (monitor) for each manufacturer, which generates a small number of colors of a color chart individually, is recorded in advance when RGB conversion is performed from an L × a × b image, color reproduction can be made constant by creating a monitor attribute file by performing color measurement with a color measuring machine or a camera for a monitor. These monitor attribute files can be easily used by being installed together with a Color Conversion Engine (CCE) dedicated to the smartphone.

In order to be able to perform the above-described operations, when a smartphone is used instead of a color measuring machine, a color conversion engine called cmm (color Matching module) such as colorsync2.0(2.0 or more) and ICM2.0 or more, or a look-up table (LUT) recorded in CIELAB color space called ICC profile is used in an operating system of the smartphone to perform color Matching between various devices by performing color conversion from RGB to L a b, from L a b to CMYK, or vice versa, based on color reproduction characteristics of various input devices and output devices or small displays.

Therefore, by incorporating the CCS in a smartphone together with a dedicated application in place of the CMM, it is possible to use a camera and a display mounted on the smartphone as an accurate colorimeter and a color display device, and to confirm a difference in color between smartphones having different functions necessary for color evaluation or in remote places or to share a perceived color.

The method for creating a camera input attribute file and correcting a colorimetric value of a smartphone using a specific color chart is basically the "method for converting a colorimetric value using a camera or a smartphone" in fig. 27 described above, but when color correction is performed on a camera of a smartphone purchased by an individual person, a reference color chart that can predict difficult work and height is not easily processed. Therefore, a few color charts are formed using a reference color of "C, M, Y, R, G, B + black + white" and the gradations of the C, M, Y, R, G, B and the gray gradations thereof, a rough input reference color chart representing the basic color reproduction range of the camera is attached, and software for simply creating a color measurement value table by photographing only with the camera of the smartphone is employed. On the other hand, the color measurement value table of the high-definition color chart installed together with the software and the color conversion engine dedicated to the smartphone are used to perform coordinate conversion on new color coordinates obtained by thinning the color measurement value table of the rough specific color chart based on the reference color chart having the majority of color patches by using the color coordinates of the color measurement data of the high-definition color chart as a reference, thereby converting the color measurement value table of the rough (minority) specific color chart into the color measurement value table of the specific color chart created based on the majority of specific color charts.

By using the colorimetric value table having the specific color chart with a large number of colorimetric values and the colorimetric value table based on a high-precision spectrophotometer or the like as described above, accurate color coordinate conversion (colorimetric value) can be obtained by CCE. Further, by accessing a database on a network prepared in advance, the spectral characteristic correction table of the illumination light to be used can be freely and automatically selected, and thus the spectral characteristic correction table can be applied to a wide range of illumination environments.

Since the color reproduction of the image of the monitor screen connected to the PC is performed on the smart screen/tablet PC screen, a specific color chart of data, an image obtained by photographing the chart or a specific color chart of a small card type, a specific color chart of single or plural data obtained by photographing the chart, and an image obtained by photographing the chart are displayed on each monitor screen, color measurement data is obtained from images obtained by photographing with other CIEXYZ camera input devices, an input device of bt.2020, and an RGB digital camera by the above-described methods, the data is converted into L a b value, and the color is converted into the color of the image serving as a reference by the CCE, and color correction is performed.

In the present color conversion system, since an input image reproduced in substantially whatever color can be converted into another color reproduction, an application to a color-impaired person or the like will be described as an application thereof. While healthy people can perceive all 3 types of colors, that is, red (long wavelength light), green (medium wavelength light), and blue (short wavelength light), the color-deficient people are classified into 1 abnormal three-color type color sense of red, green, and blue, an abnormal two-color type color sense of only 2 component colors, and a one-color type color sense of only 1 component color. Therefore, a specific color chart is prepared for the color perceived by the color-weakening person, and the color-weakening person, for example, "1" cannot see "," 2 "slightly see", "3" barely see ", and" 4 "clearly see" is used, and the color-weakening person marks the above-mentioned number for the color number of the specific color. Based on this, a color weakness chart is created for each individual person, and a chart in which colors can be seen is created as much as possible. That is, the opposite color correction densities, 1.invisible, 2.slightly visible, 3.barely visible, 4.clearly visible, are multiplied to create the weak colors. The print product to be printed is subjected to color correction based on the color-breaker attribute file (colors indicating the entire range of colors that can be recognized by the color-breaker). This makes it possible to create a book or a printed matter that allows a color-impaired person to recognize characters or images that are assigned to colors that are difficult to distinguish without any problem.

(application example)

Further application examples of the present system are explained below. The application examples described below are suitable for implementation by the present system, as in the above-described embodiments and operation examples.

(1) Color adjusting BOX Using the present System

The color adjustment BOX is provided for each output device such as 1 printer or printer, and has information such as a colorimetric value table necessary for color management unique to the output device, thereby performing color adjustment and color management. When color adjustment of a plurality of output devices is performed by the color adjustment BOX, a reference output device is set, and a target color management table of a specific color chart output by the reference output device is created. The target color management table is set as the reference color management table, and is used for color adjustment for outputting the same color as that of the reference output device. Further, by performing the color conversion process using the color management colorimetric value table and the reference color management table of the specific output device, the output device provided with the color adjustment BOX of the other output device can output the same color.

The color adjustment BOX is applied to a case where color management is performed by a development department, an advertisement agency, a printing company, a coating company, a dyeing company, or the like of a general enterprise requiring color management, by using a device for easily unifying colors of patterns of printed matters or the like printed by other output machines, with reference to colors of patterns of printed matters or the like of one output.

1. Preliminary basic examination

(1) The color measurement values of a plurality of specific color chart units obtained by measuring the color of the reference chart by the dedicated color measuring machine are set as a color measurement value table and stored in a storage device of the color adjusting BOX.

(2) Measured color values of color chart units obtained by inputting a plurality of identical specific color charts by an RGB input device of a scanner or a camera are stored in a storage device of a color adjustment BOX as a measured color value table.

(3) The above 2 colorimetric value tables are compared with each other for each corresponding color to create a colorimetric value table for color correction, and the colorimetric value table is stored in the storage device of the color adjustment BOX.

Thus, it is possible to perform color conversion and color management for reproducing a print color of a specific output product (printer ) using L α b value obtained by measuring a color of an image input from an RGB input device of a scanner or camera by using a dedicated color measuring machine.

Next, a reference output device for color management is set from among the plurality of output devices. That is, the color output from the set output device is converted so that the colors output from the other output devices are the same. When any printer, printing sample, or the like is provided, a dedicated color adjustment BOX is provided for each device to control color reproduction between the devices, and individual color management and data management for color matching of each device are performed, and the person in charge manages color quality by himself/herself. In actual use, at least the color adjustment boxes are connected to each other via a communication device (such as a router) to a LAN or a wide area network and share a reference color management table, thereby performing color conversion and color management.

2. Basic operation

Based on a color measurement value table for color correction of a dedicated color meter stored in the color adjustment BOX, a printed product (pattern) of the printer is input from an RGB input device of a scanner or a camera, and the obtained L × a × b value is color-corrected to L × a × b value obtained from the reference color management table.

That is, CMYK values that can be color-reproduced by the output machine used are converted on a pixel-by-pixel basis, creating CMYK image data.

3. Utilizing step of color adjusting Box

The color adjustment Box is utilized as follows. First, an example of matching the color of the color proofing press with the color of the printed matter will be described. The procedure of using the color adjustment Box is shown in fig. 28.

First, specific color chart data (CMYK data) is printed under standard printing conditions (paper, ink, printer), and the specific color chart output from the proof press is input to the color adjustment Box by an RGB scanner or the like for calibration adjustment in the same manner.

Next, the input image data of 2 specific color charts is subjected to color measurement by a color measurement device, and each color measurement value table is created. Next, if the color measurement value table of the print sample is set as the input color table and placed in the color adjustment Box, and the color measurement value table of the print product is set as the target color table and placed in the color adjustment Box, the color space L × a × b of each of the 2 color tables is generated in the CCE inside of the color adjustment Box, and the color conversion from the colors of the input color table to the target color table can be performed.

Then, if CMYK image data for printing out to the color adjustment Box is input, the CMYK image data is converted into an L × a × b image inside the color adjustment Box, and is converted from the color (L × a × b value) of each pixel of the print sample into the color (L × a × b value) of the printed matter. Further, the color (L a b value) of each pixel of the print sample is converted into a CMYK% value for reproducing the same color during printing, and if the color conversion of all the pixels is completed, the L a b value for reproducing the color of the print by the print sample is converted into CMYK data for reproducing the color by the print sample.

Although color correction can be performed only for "color adjustment Box" if only an image is used, color correction can be performed also for high-resolution contour portions such as graphics and mark marks by using a RIP on which CCEs are mounted.

4. Color pre-check function of color adjustment Box

Further, as another function of the color adjustment Box, there is a function of color preview that can check in advance whether or not the color reproduced by the printer a (or the color sample) can be reproduced by the printer B (or the printer). This function automatically performs 10,000-point color measurement on the entire image by using matrix color measurement that can be used not only for a specific color chart but also for a pattern, or can add color measurement points manually. Thus, "Δ E" or "CIEDE 2000" is used to indicate "average color difference" and color difference of individual color, and for example, colors having a large color difference of Δ E4.0 or more are displayed in a list, or the value of color difference of each color is displayed. Further, a color correction table is created and corrected to an accurate value L × a × b by the color correction unit of the "image L × a × b".

If a color that is difficult to match is detected in advance by the color preview function of the color adjustment Box, this color correction method selects from various color correction parameters, thereby performing color correction such that a similar impression is visually observed not only for a print sample but also for a printed matter.

If the selection for correction is classified into, for example, "the color is dark (bright) although the value of L ·ishigh", "the color looks bright although the value of L ·islow (dark)", or "the color with the same value of L · (brightness) looks bright", the color correction can be performed by setting the magnitude of the correction amount.

In addition, in the case where the color sample is a printed matter and is a color gamut of CMYK process inks, if color pre-inspection is used for CMYK images, a difference in gradation reproduction of 0% to 100% is displayed for each CMYK or a difference in halftone dot% value is displayed by a curve representation based on a coordinate graph as color reproduction for a printed image of a proof image. Further, a correction curve is created, and gradation correction is performed on the CMYK image, thereby automatically performing an operation of printing an image closer to a target.

The main function of the color adjustment BOX is as follows.

(1) The RGB input machine can be used for carrying out accurate color adjustment and color conversion.

(2) And performing color judgment, wherein the color judgment is used for judging whether the color subjected to color measurement enters a preset color difference range.

(3) A color space judgment is performed to judge whether or not the color subjected to color measurement can be reproduced by printing.

(4) When the color subjected to color measurement is mixed with the target ink, a monitor simulation of what color is to be obtained and the L a B value and CMYK% display are performed.

Further, the basic structure of the system of the color adjustment BOX is as follows.

Computers, monitors, CCE color transformation software (including color pre-writing functions), specific color charts (data and prints), input machines, and various colorimetry tables, various attribute files.

(2) Shading correction function for entire surface of scanner/camera image

The device is used for solving the problem that even though each unit sensitivity of a light receiving sensor of an input device such as a scanner has a very small difference, white and black of the whole input surface of an input image are uneven, and accurate color measurement cannot be carried out. Therefore, there is a function of correcting such unevenness by performing shading correction for eliminating such unevenness not only for white and black but also for gray scale and color stereo of CMYKRGB, so as to obtain a colorimetric value in which not only the density but also the color of the entire image are constant.

When a scanner inputs an image, a scanner adjusted for calibration scans a sheet of paper of the same color (white, gray, black, C, M, Y, R, G, B, and other colors) on the entire surface, and color filtering processing of the reciprocal of the density is performed on the entire surface for each color and scanning unevenness of the color in order to average the input image, thereby removing unevenness.

In the case of inputting an image by a single-lens camera, in the case of a single camera capable of inputting the entire surface of a pattern by one-shot image taking, the entire surface of the pattern is taken of paper of the same color (white, gray, black, C, M, Y, R, G, B, etc.) by a light source having excellent color rendering property at an incident angle of 45 degrees, and the density and color unevenness of the entire surface are removed. The shading correction of the peripheral portion was performed in 1 pixel units with the average L × a × b value of the center portion of each color set as a reference value.

(3) Hybrid image comparison

The CMYK digital image data as an original image for printing uses a dot% value. However, since an image obtained by converting a simulated image of a printed matter or the like into data by a scanner input is an RGB image, these color comparisons cannot be easily performed. A case where image comparison of these digital image data with an analog image based on input from a scanner or the like can be performed is referred to as "mixed image comparison". In order to perform "hybrid image comparison", RIP processing is performed on DTP data for printing, and color image data which is an 8-bit image of from 50dpi to 300dpi is compared with an image of the same resolution obtained by printing a print sample inputted by a specific printer or printer by a scanner or camera. In this case, since the scanned image printed by the proof print, the printed matter, and the white density and dot gain of the medium have an influence of the medium, and the 8-bit image obtained by the RIP process has no influence of the medium, the images can be compared so as to match the color reproduction in the color space by applying the attribute file of the medium.

(4) CMYK Density conversion

In an offset printing machine, a printing surface called an ink area is divided into several tens of lines to perform color control over the entire printing surface. The pattern color measurement is performed for each of the ink areas, and the density value of each of the ink areas of each of the CMYK inks is calculated from the measured color value L × a × b, thereby performing the printing ink adjustment. That is, in the present system, the print pattern is divided by the width of the ink patch from the center of the printing surface of the printer, and the measured color value L × a × b of each pixel of the print pattern is converted into dot% of CMYK by the ICC profile. Then, the average dot density% value is calculated by summing up the dot density% values for each ink region, and printing is performed. By this operation, the full density of each ink can be predicted.

However, even if there is a color with a density of 100% or more in the calculation, a value of 100% or more cannot be obtained in the color conversion based on the ICC profile, and therefore, there is a problem that the density value in the case of printing with a density higher than the reference density is relatively low by conversion. Therefore, in the present system, the difference between the value of L a b of each pixel obtained by printing at the set density of each CMYK ink (for example, C1.5, M1.4, Y1.3, and K1.9) and the value of L a b of each pixel obtained by converting the CMYK data of a digital image into an attribute file is calculated, and if the difference is L a b larger than the reference value, a conversion process is provided in which the CMYK values are corrected to be 100% or more. This can improve the accuracy of conversion of the CMYK% values into density values at each CMYK full-page area. In the case of predicting the density of the full-size portion (100% portion) from the measured color value of the pattern, it is possible to further eliminate errors in performing calculation processing using a table in which dot% is converted into density values by converting only the pattern portions of the printed matter excluding the paper blank portion not carrying ink into CMYK% for each pixel and summing the CMYK%.

(5) Determination of acceptability or non-acceptability of color evaluation of reference color and comparison color

In printing, color management has been performed using a chart such as a color bar for the purpose of obtaining stable color reproduction in a printer. In the present system, since the pattern surface color measurement can be performed with high accuracy even with a general-purpose input device, the color evaluation and color management of the pattern which are originally necessary can be easily realized, and the color evaluation based on a numerical value close to that of the visual observation can be widely expanded.

Further, the evaluation of the color by visual observation is digitized and visualized, thereby realizing the judgment of whether the color of the printed matter is acceptable or not. The acceptance/rejection determination is performed by setting acceptance/rejection numerical levels by printing orderers, printing operators, and printing operators. Meanwhile, a method of determining a color temperature of a light source based on a colorant of various papers or the like is prepared, and a method of selecting who does not cause an error in a determination standard even when performing a color determination operation is selected. Further, the determination may be performed by a combination of the determination methods.

Therefore, first, an image obtained by inputting a digital image of the same pattern or color patch printed (printed) on a medium or a print (including a dyed material, a painted material, and a monitor image) as a color sample and the same image for color determination are input, and the two images are superimposed on each other at a pixel level. Next, the difference between the colors of the portions compared from the two images is used to obtain the L a b value and the color difference. Based on this value, an evaluation light source is set in advance in an allowable range of color difference set by the customer's contract, and color evaluation is performed. When the results of the acceptance/rejection determinations under these conditions are within the reference values, the "excellent", "o", or numerical rating "a/AA/AAA" is displayed based on "acceptance" or the average color difference at all the comparison positions. If the difference is not the reference value, the "Δ x" or "B, C, D" or the like is displayed based on the "failure" or the average color difference of all the comparison positions, thereby making a judgment that anyone can easily understand. In addition, when there is a color that cannot be reproduced during printing, the color difference may be displayed in numerical values and warning colors so that a person can make a re-judgment.

(6) Device for simultaneously performing color evaluation and character/contaminated inspection

In quality control of printing, a color stripe chart is added to perform color control so that the ink density of a color stripe attached to one end of the periphery of a printed matter is constant. Further, it is necessary to simultaneously perform "inspection of character missing, contamination, and the like" (color chart in which various color patches (color patches) composed of full-size ink and the like of each CMYK ink are arranged in a line, and this color chart is used for color management of a printing press.

In order to perform these two inspections, a printer is equipped with a camera or the like, and an inline (inline) system for performing quality control during printing is executed using an image obtained by photographing an image or a color bar. In many cases, color management of a pattern is performed by visual observation, and even if automation of a printing machine is advanced, final confirmation of color management is performed by human eyes, and a color determination criterion differs depending on a person, which is problematic. The image matching (matching) technology and the color measurement/color evaluation/color judgment technology in the system become basic. Further, since the input image is acquired to perform color evaluation, image inspection based on a difference in color can be performed by the same technique of color measurement, color evaluation, and color determination. That is, by performing the "density inspection of character missing, contamination, or the like" simultaneously with the "color evaluation" by the color management technique of the present system, two different inspections can be performed first based on the color management technique. Further, it is possible to realize a high-precision quality inspection with little burden on the printing operator.

The "operation flowchart for performing color evaluation and text/contamination inspection in a lump" shown in fig. 29 is a diagram showing a flow for automatically performing inspection and color management.

(1) The prints entered by the scanner are processed by a dedicated inspection system for performing printing inspection (B1 and B2). The images of the input folder input to the inspection system are automatically transferred directly to the input folder of the color management system. As described above, the same image is used in combination, so that the following operation can be performed.

(2) Comparative inspection with reference images of PDF and TIFF called by inspection system

(3) The two processes of color comparison with the CIP3-PPF image called by the color management system are jointly advanced simultaneously and efficiently. Further, the comparison and inspection result with the reference image is displayed.

(4) The viewer is displayed with the CMYK ink concentrations for each ink zone of the printer.

(5) The monitor is provided at a control device (color sample stage) of the printing press, and the monitor is transmitted to the control device of 2 printing presses, and comparison and confirmation of the printed matter and control of the printing press are performed at one place.

(7) Remote medical diagnosis device

The remote medical diagnosis apparatus is a communication/imaging Box apparatus with a sensor that images a face and skin color from a remote place with a camera and further diagnoses a doctor based on information such as a pulse and an electrocardiogram. The remote medical diagnosis apparatus is installed in a remote place between a medical institution and a non-medical village, or the medical institution is connected to a medical diagnosis apparatus installed in a movable body of a motor vehicle, a train, or the like by a wired or wireless communication means, and a doctor diagnoses from the remote place. The basic devices of the remote medical diagnosis apparatus include an illumination device for performing accurate color determination based on the basic technology of the present system, a 4k.8k color gamut digital video camera or RGB digital video camera, a microphone, a speaker (which may be an earphone), a medical device, a communication device, and a device for storing and communicating these data, and perform remote medical diagnosis based on accurate color information of the face and body of a patient.

(8) Vehicle coating, management of coating unevenness by a robot for home electric appliances, and coating.

In the painting operation performed by the painting robot, the painting robot creates a shadowless state of image input and illumination of the painted surface directly or by a painting unevenness and painting color inspection device separately provided based on the basic technique of color measurement, color evaluation and color determination of the present system, and performs color determination of painting and color unevenness in an averaged illumination environment. In addition, the correction data is sent to the painting robot in the case of poor color. And if the color difference is within a preset allowable value, performing qualification judgment. Further, it is possible to create and evaluate lighting conditions at angles at which color unevenness, flaws, and the like are easily found. Further, it is also possible to perform color temperature conversion of the actual operating environment such as outdoor morning/daytime/evening by using the illumination device to create illumination close to the natural environment.

Further, the robot can be used in fields requiring accurate color recognition in addition to painting.

For example, a 4K camera having a single plane lens, for example, and a two-dimensional 4K camera, for example, can input (capture) a target image or image, and convert the target image or image into an absolute value L a b by the color conversion technique of the present system, thereby making it possible to perform accurate color determination. Since the L a b value is a reference value of the world, the color evaluation is applied to a desired field as an accurate "eye" of the robot.

(9) High-precision partial pattern surface color measuring device using range of central field angle of camera

In order to measure colors over the entire field angle with an accurate value using a camera, it is necessary to perform not only "appropriate illumination (for the purpose of illumination light)" and "shading correction of white, black, and gray scales", but also correction with a high degree of effort to correct color shifts in a color space composed of various colors of R, G, B, C, M, and Y in addition to white, black, and gray scales over the entire screen in pixel units.

Therefore, if only an image of a highly accurate and stable range in the central portion of the angle of view of the camera is used, in a range where there is almost no density or color unevenness, conversion into an L × a × b image of a color measurement object and conversion into a color space composed of L × a × b values obtained by performing color measurement by a reference color measurement device are performed by using a specific color chart and CCS, shading correction can be easily performed, and color comparison between the reference image and the comparison image can be easily performed.

In the case of performing color correction of a camera, first, a database of color measurement value tables based on various input devices such as a Web server is set in advance, and a color measurement value table obtained by converting a plurality of specific color charts photographed by the same camera from RGB into la b and a color measurement value table obtained by performing la b color measurement on the same plurality of specific color charts by a reference color measurement device are downloaded. Next, a few specific color charts including the same color as the above-described many specific color charts are photographed, and a matching process of allocating the color space of the many specific color charts to the few specific color charts is performed, thereby creating many specific color charts that conform to the color reproduction characteristics of the camera used. By placing these charts in the CCS, accurate colorimetry can be performed.

In order to actually measure a color of a pattern, first, a color sample or a print to be a reference is placed on a flat table, and while observing illumination of a camera table fixed to a tripod or the like and a visual image of a hand-held camera or a smartphone, the camera table is moved so that a pattern portion to be measured is displayed on a frame indicating "a range in which color can be measured" in the center of the camera. Next, the smaller frame indicating the "color measurement point" displayed at the center of the above-described frame is accurately moved to perform imaging. The image of the desired color measurement is taken anywhere as described above. In addition, the size of the color measurement point can be freely set by specifying the number of pixels of the XY axis of the camera image.

Next, the printed matter or the like to be compared is set on a board placed on the same desk, for example, and the printed matter or the like is likewise moved on the board so that the "colorimetric point" of the pattern enters a frame indicating the "colorimetry-enabled range" displayed in the center of the camera to perform photography. In order to control the data volume of the captured image, a range in which the image shape can be recognized may be set by one frame, and an image of an unnecessary peripheral portion may be automatically cut out.

In addition, when an image of a printed matter or the like to be compared is photographed, the image is automatically corrected by using image registration (image matching) processing software by shifting or tilting the reference image in the left, right, up, down, or left direction of the photographing range, or by the image deformation due to the floating of the original document, and the result of comparison between each colorimetric value and the color difference or the like is displayed.

The above-described color measurement system can realize miniaturization and low-cost comparison of highly accurate colors of patterns using the pattern surface color measurement technique, and can provide a general concept of "color ruler".

The cameras for measuring the color of the central portion of the lens are not only 4K and 8K cameras, but also general-purpose digital cameras, video cameras, and cameras attached to smart phones. In addition, a tripod, a tetrapod, or an LED lamp may be attached to the body of the camera to perform photography.

As described above, it should be understood that the present system can be used not only for color uniformity of printed matter, but also for various very useful purposes.
