The plant essential oil is an important secondary metabolite existing in different tissues of plants, is easy to dissolve in an organic solvent, and has a good dissolving effect on various waxiness. The current research shows that the plant essential oil has biological activity to various pests and pathogenic bacteria and has synergistic effect to various pesticides. However, the plant essential oils currently used for controlling pests are mainly terpenoids, aromatic compounds, aliphatic compounds and nitrogen-containing and sulfur-containing compounds, and the plant essential oils cannot have good synergistic effect on the scale insects, so that the scale insects cannot be better controlled.

Performance testing

Experimental methods

Experiment 1: the pesticide synergistic agent of the invention has the dissolving effect on the waxy secretions of the cycado beige

The test adopts a dropping method to test the dissolving effect on the wax secretion of the female adult scale. Collecting cycas revoluta lobules with a test object, rejecting unqualified test insects by using an insect needle, and placing the lobules in a culture dish with qualitative filter paper. Diluting the essential oil of the test plant with alcohol to gradient concentration (v: v: essential oil: 95% alcohol: 1:0, 1:1, 1:10, 1:100, 1:1000), sucking 0.1 μ L of the liquid medicine drop on the anterior chest and back plate of the insect body by using an adjustable pipette, continuously observing the dissolving effect of the essential oil on the scale shell, and taking a picture. Soaking the leaf solution with the tested insects for 5s by using tweezers, taking out, obliquely airing, placing in a culture dish filled with moisturizing filter paper, covering and marking, and placing in an incubator with the temperature (26 +/-2) DEG C, the relative humidity of 70%, the illumination intensity of 2000lx and the light-dark ratio of 14 h: 10 h. After 48h, the death condition of the tested insects is investigated, and the death is judged by using the phenomena that the insect bodies shrink, become hard, and the tissue fluid does not overflow after the insect needles are pricked by picking the shield pieces with the insect needles. Meanwhile, the essential oil with equal concentration and the Tween 80 pure mother liquor are used as a control, and each treatment is repeated three times.

Experimental data processing and statistical method

Calculating mortality and corrected mortality of each treatment, performing data analysis statistics with "Excle 2010", finding regression line, LC50And 95% confidence limits.

The mortality rate (%) - (number of test insects-number of live insects after drug)/number of test insects × 100.

Corrected mortality (%) — treatment mortality-control mortality)/(100-control mortality) × 100.

Results and analysis

Analysis of results for experiment 1:

as can be seen from fig. 1 and fig. 2, the citronella oil, the cinnamon oil, the star anise oil, the croton oil and the sweet wormwood oil in the pesticide synergistic agent have different degrees of dissolution on wax secretion of the female adult of the pernicia magna, when the alcohol concentration of the essential oil is 1:1, the cinnamon oil has the strongest solubility, the sweet wormwood oil has the worst effect, and the dissolution performance sequence is as follows: cinnamon oil, croton essential oil, artemisia oil, star anise oil and citronella oil. When the alcohol concentration of the essential oil is 1:10, the cinnamon oil has the strongest solubility, the sweet wormwood oil has the worst effect, and the sequence of the solubility performance is as follows: cinnamon oil, croton essential oil, star anise oil, citronella oil and artemisia oil.

Analysis of the results for experiment 2:

The activity of cinnamon oil on female adults of the cycadopsis ferruginea is shown in table 1, and the oral mortality rate of the cycadis is 73.62% when the concentration of the cinnamon oil is 200mg/mL, which indicates that the cinnamon oil has good lethal activity on the cycadis ferruginea. From table 1, the toxicity equation of cinnamon oil to female adult cycado is calculated as Y-3.358 +0.9463x, the correlation coefficient is 0.9741, and the lethal medium concentration LC50It was 54.33. + -. 14 mg/mL. The cinnamon oil can dissolve the wax secretion of the surface of the scale gecko and has good lethal activity. The star anise oil, the citronella oil, the sweet wormwood oil and the croton essential oil have good dissolving effect on wax secretion on the surface layer of the insect body, but have no obvious lethal activity on the cycado.

Although the synergistic insecticidal effect brought by the citronella oil, the cinnamon oil and the star anise oil as the pesticide synergist is illustrated by taking the citronella oil, the cinnamon oil and the star anise oil as examples, the data of the test croton oil and the sweet wormwood oil are not given here, the croton oil and the sweet wormwood oil are rich in anethole, D-limonene, cinnamaldehyde and methyl salicylate as the croton oil and the sweet wormwood oil are analyzed by a gas chromatography-mass spectrometer, and therefore the croton oil and the sweet wormwood oil are known to have the synergistic effect.

The synergistic effect results of the citronella oil, the cinnamon oil, the star anise oil and the cyhalothrin are shown in table 3, and if the CTC of the compound agent is 80-120 according to a combined toxicity calculation method, the synergistic effect is shown as an additive effect; if the CTC is more than 120, the effect is synergistic; CTC < 80, the antagonism is indicated. The cinnamon oil, the star anise oil and the citronella oil have synergistic effect on the cyhalothrin, wherein the synergistic effect of the cinnamon oil and the star anise oil is obvious, the co-toxicity coefficient is 273.50 and 285.59, the co-toxicity coefficient is obviously higher than that of the citronella oil on the cyhalothrin, and the co-toxicity coefficient is 140.32.

Finally, it should be noted that the above embodiments are only used for illustrating the technical solutions of the present invention, and not for limiting the protection scope of the present invention, although the present invention is described in detail with reference to the preferred embodiments, it should be understood by those skilled in the art that modifications or equivalent substitutions can be made on the technical solutions of the present invention without departing from the spirit and scope of the technical solutions of the present invention.
