at least one support projection (22) projecting radially from the pumping unit housing (16), and

a mounting device (14) for mounting the pumping unit (12) to a corresponding motor vehicle mounting structure (15), the mounting device (14) comprising

A ring-shaped pump support body (28) radially surrounding and supporting the pumping unit (12) and attachable to the motor vehicle mounting structure (15),

wherein an axial side of the pump support body (28) is provided with castellations (38) comprising a plurality of axially extending merlons (40) and defining a plurality of projection-receiving portions (42) between the merlons (40), and

wherein the at least one support tab (22) of the pumping unit housing (16) engages with the at least one tab receptacle (42).

2. The motor vehicle pump device (10) according to claim 1, wherein the pump support body (28) is a vibration-damping body made of a relatively soft and elastic material.

3. Motor vehicle pump device (10) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the number of projection receivers (42) is greater than the number of support projections (22).

4. Motor vehicle pump device (10) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the pumping unit (12) is provided with at least two supporting protrusions (22) arranged at a uniform angular distance along the circumference of the pumping unit (12), and

wherein the angular distance between circumferentially adjacent support tabs (22) is equal to the angular distance between adjacent tab receptacles (42) or equal to an integer multiple of the angular distance between adjacent tab receptacles.

5. Motor vehicle pump device (10) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein each castellation (40) of the castellations (38) comprises a substantially transverse pump support base (44) and a rotational locking tongue (46) axially projecting from the pump support base (44).

6. Motor vehicle pump device (10) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the pump support body (28) is provided with a frame mounting portion (33) defining a flange portion (32) extending in a longitudinal pumping unit plane and attachable to the motor vehicle mounting structure (15).

7. The motor vehicle pump arrangement (10) according to claim 6, wherein the frame mounting portion (33) is provided with at least one protrusion recess (48) that circumferentially defines a protrusion receiving portion (42).

8. Motor vehicle pump device (10) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein said at least one support projection (22) is defined by a screw socket of the pumping unit housing (16).

9. Motor vehicle pump device (10) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the mounting device (14) comprises a clip-on holder (30) attached to the pump support body (28) and axially holding the pumping unit (12).

Motor vehicle pump device (10) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the clip-on retainer (30) extends axially through an annular opening (31) of the pump support body (28), and wherein a radially inner side of the annular opening (31) is provided with a retainer recess (36) into which the clip-on retainer (30) engages.
