1. A fitting assembly for attaching an elongate member to a surface within a shower or bath area, the fitting assembly comprising:

a clamp comprising a collar arranged to receive and abut the elongate member, the collar having an axially extending slit, the clamp further comprising a finger extending outwardly from the collar adjacent one side of the slit;

a cap comprising an aperture arranged to receive the elongate member, the cap being arranged to retain the clip therein such that the collar is axially aligned with the aperture; and

a bracket arranged to be secured to the surface and to receive and retain the cap with the clamp received therein, the bracket including a receiving portion arranged to push the fingers to compress the collar portion at the gap to clamp the elongate member within the collar.

The fitting assembly of claim 1, wherein the clip includes a pair of opposing fingers extending outwardly from the collar adjacent either side of the gap, the receiving portions of the bracket being arranged to urge the opposing fingers toward one another to compress the collar portion at the gap and clamp the elongate member within the collar when the cap with the clip received therein is engaged with the bracket.

3. A fitment assembly according to claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the cap comprises one or more protrusions or recesses on an inner surface of the cap arranged to engage with one or more corresponding recesses or protrusions of the clip with a snap fit to retain the clip within the cap.

A fitting assembly according to any preceding claim, wherein the bracket comprises one or more locking tabs arranged to engage with one or more corresponding notches provided on the cover, thereby locking the cover and bracket together when the cover containing the clip is engaged with the bracket.

5. A fitting assembly for attaching an elongate member to a surface within a shower or bath area, the fitting assembly comprising:

a clip comprising a collar arranged to receive and abut the elongate member, the collar having an axially extending slit, the clip further comprising a pair of opposing fingers extending outwardly from the collar adjacent either side of the slit; and

a bracket arranged to be secured to the surface and to receive and retain the clamp, the bracket comprising a receiving portion arranged to urge the opposing fingers towards each other, thereby compressing the collar portion at the gap and clamping the elongate member within the collar.

6. The fitting assembly according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the receiving portion comprises one or more ribs.

7. The fitting assembly according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the bracket is arranged to be fixed to the surface by means of one or more screws.

8. The fitting assembly according to any preceding claim, wherein the one or more fingers of the clip comprise one or more outwardly facing grooves arranged to interlock with the receiving portion of the bracket.

9. A kit of parts arranged to be assembled to form a fitting assembly according to any of claims 1 to 8.

10. The kit of parts of claim 9, comprising means for securing the bracket of the fitting assembly to a surface and an elongate member.

11. A shower or bath area including an elongate member supported by one or more fitting assemblies according to any of claims 1 to 8.

12. The shower or bath area of claim 11 including a shower stall, shower stall and/or bath tub.

13. The fitting assembly of any one of claims 1 to 8, the kit of parts of claim 9 or 10, or the shower or bath area of claim 11 or claim 12, wherein the elongate member is a pipe or a crossbar.

14. A method of attaching an elongate member to a shower area or a surface within a shower area, the method comprising the steps of:

providing a fitting assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 4 or any one of claims 6 to 8 or claim 13 when dependent on any one of claims 1 to 4;

securing the support to the shower area or the surface in the shower area;

inserting the clamp into the cover;

inserting the elongated member through the aperture of the cap and the collar of the clamp; and

sliding the cap with the clip received thereon onto the bracket, thereby causing the receiving portion to push the fingers to tighten the collar around the elongated member.

15. A method of attaching an elongate member to a shower area or a surface within a shower area, the method comprising:

providing a fitting assembly according to claim 5 or any one of claims 6 to 8 or claim 13 when dependent on claim 5;

securing the bracket to the surface in the shower or bath area;

inserting the elongate member through the collar of the clamp; and

sliding the clip onto the bracket, thereby tightening the collar around the elongate member to attach the elongate member to the surface.
