Detailed Description

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

Fig. 1 is a side view showing an example of an internal configuration of a document inspection apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention. The document inspection apparatus shown in fig. 1 includes a printing apparatus 1 and an image reading apparatus 2 connected to each other.

The printing apparatus 1 conveys a printing sheet, prints various images on the printing sheet by an electrophotographic method, and discharges the printed printing sheet.

The printing apparatus 1 includes: a photosensitive drum 11, an exposure device 12, a developing device 13, a paper feed cassette 14, a paper feed roller 15, a conveyance roller 16, a transfer roller 17, a fixer 18, and a conveyance roller 19.

The exposure device 12 scans the photosensitive drum 11 and irradiates the photosensitive drum with laser light to form an electrostatic latent image. The laser light is scanned in a direction (main scanning direction) perpendicular to the rotation direction (sub-scanning direction) of the photosensitive drum 11. The exposure device 12 has a laser scanning unit including: a laser diode as a light source of the laser light, and an optical element (a lens, a mirror, a polygon mirror, etc.) that guides the laser light to the photosensitive drum 11.

Further, a charger, a cleaning device, a static eliminator, and the like are disposed around the photosensitive drum 11. The cleaning device removes residual toner on the photosensitive drum 11 after transfer, and the charge remover removes charge from the photosensitive drum 11 after transfer.

The developing device 13 includes a toner cartridge (toner cartridge) filled with toner (toner) and a developing device for adhering the toner conveyed from a toner tank (toner hopper) in the toner cartridge to the photosensitive drum 11, and forms a toner image (toner image) by adhering the toner to the electrostatic latent image of the photosensitive drum 11.

The paper feed cassette 14 contains printing paper, and the printing paper is pushed up by an unshown lifting plate (lift plate), for example, so as to be brought into contact with the paper feed roller 15. The paper feed roller 15 feeds printing paper sheet by sheet onto the conveyance path.

The transfer roller 17 causes a sheet (sheet) of the printing paper conveyed by the paper feed roller 15 and the conveyance roller 16 to contact the photosensitive drum 11, and transfers the toner image to the printing paper. The printing paper on which the toner image is transferred is conveyed to the fixing device 18, and the toner image is fixed on the printing paper. The printing paper on which the toner image is fixed by the fixing device 18 is discharged onto the discharge tray 20 through the discharge port 20a by the conveying roller 19.

The discharge tray 20 is a discharge tray common to both a discharge portion of the print sheet discharged from the printing apparatus 1 and a discharge portion of the document discharged from the image reading apparatus 2. In the present embodiment, the image reading apparatus 2 is disposed on the top surface of the housing of the printing apparatus 1, and the discharge tray 20 is formed on the top surface of the housing of the printing apparatus 1.

The image reading apparatus 2 optically reads document images one by one from a plurality of documents. The image reading apparatus 2 includes a document tray 21, a conveying roller 22, an image reading unit 23, and a conveying roller 24.

The conveying rollers 22 convey the documents placed on the document tray 21 one by one. The image reading unit 23 irradiates light onto the document conveyed by the conveying roller 22, and detects reflected light reflected by the document by an optical sensor, thereby generating image data of a document image.

The conveyance roller 24 is disposed at a position downstream of the image reading unit 23, and discharges the document after image reading to the discharge tray 20 through the discharge port 20 b. The discharge port 20b of the original document is disposed at a position higher than the discharge port 20a of the printing paper.

Fig. 2 is a block diagram showing a configuration of the document inspection apparatus shown in fig. 1.

As shown in fig. 2, the document inspection apparatus further includes a communication device 31, an operation panel 32, and a controller 33.

The communication device 31 is a device that performs data communication with an external device. The communication device 31 is a peripheral interface, a network interface, or the like. The operation panel 32 is disposed on the surface of the housing of the document inspection apparatus, and includes a display device 32a for displaying various information to the user and an input device 32b for detecting a user operation. For example, the display device 32a includes a liquid crystal display or the like, and the input device 32b includes a touch panel, a hard key (hard key), or the like.

The controller 33 includes a processor such as a computer or an asic (application Specific Integrated circuit), and performs software processing and/or hardware processing by the processor to control the printing apparatus 1, the image reading apparatus 2, and the like to perform document inspection.

Specifically, the controller 33 performs the following processing: the image reading apparatus 2 acquires image data of a document image, performs inspection of the document image, and controls the printing apparatus 1 to insert printing paper as an interleaving paper on or under a sheet of paper on which an error (error) is detected in the inspection of the document image.

For example, in the inspection, the controller 33 performs the following processing: a predetermined area of a document image is subjected to character recognition processing, and it is determined whether or not a character is obtainable from the predetermined area. For example, the signature field or the seal field in the document is set to the above-described predetermined region, and when a character is not obtained, it is determined that there is no signature or seal in the signature field or the seal field in the document, and it is determined that an error exists in the document image.

Fig. 3 is a diagram (1/2) illustrating a document and a print sheet discharged from the document inspection apparatus shown in fig. 1 and 2. Fig. 4 is a diagram (2/2) illustrating a document and a print sheet discharged from the document inspection apparatus shown in fig. 1 and 2.

In addition, in the present embodiment, for example, as shown in fig. 3, the controller 33 performs the following processing: (a) stopping conveyance of the sheet 101-i (or the next sheet) in a state where the rear end portion of the sheet 101-i (or the rear end portion of the next sheet from which the error sheet is detected) is pinched (or detected) by the conveying roller 24 of the image reading apparatus 2, (b) causing the printing apparatus 1 to discharge the printing sheet 102 as the interleaving sheet, (c) causing the image reading apparatus 2 to re-convey the sheet 101-i (or the next sheet) and discharge the sheet 101-i (or the next sheet) after discharging the printing sheet 102 as the interleaving sheet.

Note that the printing paper 102 as the mount may be conveyed to a predetermined position (a position before the transfer position, a position before the discharge port 20a, or the like) on the conveyance path in advance at the start of the inspection.

Further, in the present embodiment, for example, as shown in fig. 4, the original 101-i and the printing paper 102 are discharged as follows: in the width direction of the discharge tray 20 (the direction perpendicular to the discharge direction of the original 101-i and the printing paper 102), the edge of the original 101-i (the edge substantially parallel to the discharge direction) and the edge of the printing paper 102 (the edge substantially parallel to the discharge direction) are at positions different from each other. That is, the discharge ports 20a and 20b are formed so that the original 101-i and the printing paper 102 are discharged as described above, respectively.

In the present embodiment, the size of the original 101-i and the size of the print paper 102 are the same, and the original 101-i and the print paper 102 are discharged as follows: the center of the original 101-i and the center of the printing paper 102 are at different positions from each other. The printing paper 102 as the mount may have a larger size than the original 101-i.

Further, the controller 33 may be configured to perform the following processing: when an error is detected in the inspection of the document image, the printing apparatus 1 is caused to print a description of the error (error occurrence position, error content, and the like) on the printing paper 102 as the mount.

Next, the operation of the document inspection apparatus will be described. Fig. 5 is a flowchart for explaining the operation of the document inspection apparatus shown in fig. 1 and 2.

The user places a plurality of sheets of paper 101-1 to 101-N (N > 1) of the original on the original tray 21, and performs a predetermined user operation on the input device 32b of the operation panel 32 to cause the original inspection device to inspect the placed original.

When the user operation is detected by the input device 32b, the controller 33 performs document inspection as follows.

The controller 33 performs the following processing: the image reading apparatus 2 is caused to sequentially carry out conveyance of the original sheet 101-i and image reading of the original image of the original sheet 101-i one by one to acquire image data of the original image (step S1), and it is determined whether or not an error has been detected in the original image (step S2). When the error is not detected, the controller 33 does not stop the conveyance of the sheet 101-i, but discharges the sheet 101-i from the image reading apparatus 2 to the discharge tray 20 (step S3).

On the other hand, when an error is detected for this sheet 101-i, the controller 33 performs the following processing: for example, as shown in fig. 3, the image reading apparatus 2 is caused to temporarily stop the conveyance of the sheet 101-i in a state where the rear end portion of the sheet 101-i is nipped by the conveying rollers 24 (step S5). In this state, the controller 33 causes the printing apparatus 1 to discharge the printing paper 102 as an interleaving paper (step S6). In the present embodiment, the original sheets 101-1 to 101-N are continuously conveyed from the original tray 21 unless the conveyance is stopped. That is, the conveyance of the sheet 101-i is started before the preceding sheet 101- (i-1) is discharged at a predetermined interval.

Thus, even if the leading end portion of the sheet 101-i comes into contact with the upper surface of the preceding sheet 101- (i-1), the trailing end portion of the sheet 101-i does not come into contact with the upper surface of the preceding sheet 101- (i-1), and therefore, the interleaving paper is inserted between the preceding sheet 101- (i-1) on the discharge tray 20 and the sheet 101-i.

After the printing paper 102 as the interleaving paper is discharged, the controller 33 causes the image reading apparatus 2 to transport the paper 101-i again and discharge the paper to the discharge tray 20 (step S7). Here, the sheet 101-i in which the error is detected is discharged above the mount.

Further, the controller 33 may be configured to perform the following processing: the image reading apparatus 2 continues to discharge the detected error paper 101-i without stopping the conveyance, but stops the conveyance of the next paper 101- (i +1), and after the printing paper 102 as the mount is discharged, the image reading apparatus 2 again conveys the paper 101- (i +1) and discharges the paper to the discharge tray 20. In this case, the mount is discharged above the sheet 101-i in which the error is detected.

Also, when there is the next sheet 101- (i +1) (yes in step S4), image reading and the like of the next sheet 101- (i +1) are similarly performed, and when there is no next sheet, the controller 33 ends document inspection.

As described above, according to the above-described embodiment, the original is discharged from the image reading apparatus 2 to the discharge tray 20, and the printing paper is discharged from the printing apparatus 1. The controller 33 performs the following processing: the original image read for each sheet by the image reading apparatus 2 is inspected, and when an error is detected in the inspection of the original image, the printing apparatus 1 is controlled to insert printing paper as an interleaving paper on or under the sheet on which the error is detected.

Thus, the user can easily specify a sheet having an error among a plurality of documents using the mount sheet.

It should be noted that various changes and modifications can be made to the above-described embodiments without departing from the spirit and scope of the subject matter and without diminishing the intended advantages thereof, and since such changes and modifications are obvious to those skilled in the art, they should also be encompassed within the scope of the present claims.

For example, in the above embodiment, the controller 33 may be configured to perform the following processing: a list of errors occurring in a plurality of sheets 101-1 to 101-N of a document is displayed on a display device 32a, the error list is printed by a printing device 1, or the error list is transmitted to a predetermined host computer device by a communication device 31.
