Technical Field

The present invention relates to a luggage rack for fixedly receiving a motorcycle luggage piece for a motorcycle, a bicycle or a moped.

Background

In the prior art, a luggage rack for accommodating luggage items of a motorcycle is screwed to the motorcycle or the moped and is firmly fixed to the vehicle.

However, it is disadvantageous that if the luggage rack is not required, it must be removed using additional tools, which do not correspond to tools on board the motorcycle or moped. This situation makes the removal of the roof rack time-consuming on the one hand and on the other hand the driver has to carry additional tools with him in order to be able to remove the roof rack.

Disclosure of Invention

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a luggage rack which ensures a simple and rapid (disassembly) assembly without the use of additional tools in addition to the vehicle-mounted tools.

This object is achieved by a combination of the features of claim 1.

The invention therefore proposes a luggage rack for the fixed accommodation of a motorcycle luggage item for a motorcycle or a moped, having an adapter plate on which the motorcycle luggage item can be fixed and having at least one positioning element for the position determination and pre-fixing of the luggage rack on the motorcycle or the moped. Furthermore, the luggage rack comprises a moving device having an engaging element and a lever cooperating with the engaging element. The lever can be adjusted between an open position and a closed position, and the coupling element is displaced between a position disengaged from the motorcycle or the moped and a position fixed to the motorcycle or the moped.

The positioning element facilitates the assembly of the luggage rack, since the user only has to attach the positioning element to an abutment provided for this purpose on the motorcycle. During the further assembly, the luggage rack is guided precisely into the final assembly position by the positioning element. Furthermore, it is advantageous if the luggage rack can be fastened to the motorcycle or moped by means of a displacement device. The transfer of the lever from the open position to the closed position moves the engagement element to a fixed position in which it engages on the counterpart, so that the engagement element together with the positioning element firmly fixes the luggage rack on the motorcycle or the moped. If the lever is again placed back into the open position, the luggage rack is again disengaged from the motorcycle or moped. In this way, the roof rack can be assembled and disassembled quickly and without additional tools.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the adapter plate has at least one snap-in element, which is arranged spaced apart from the positioning element in a longitudinal direction, which in normal use of the luggage rack corresponds to the direction of travel or the main direction of travel. Furthermore, the at least one snap-in element is designed for releasable latching with a corresponding receptacle provided on the motorcycle or the moped for the purpose of pre-fixing. This results in a considerable simplification of the assembly, since by means of the pre-fixing the luggage rack is already in its assembly end position and can be released from the assembly end position only by a high force application. The luggage carrier is thus not released from its final assembly position during the transfer of the control lever and can be simply fixed to the motorcycle or moped.

Preferably, the luggage framework is configured such that the positioning element protrudes from the adapter plate as a positioning hook having a hook-shaped part at its free end. The hook-shaped part is designed to engage behind a first fastening point on the motorcycle designed to receive the hook-shaped part and thus ensure a position determination and a pre-fastening. In this case, it is advantageous if the hook-shaped part, on the basis of a special shaping, offers the best possible way of guiding the luggage rack into the assembly end position and at the same time securing it securely at the first securing point, since the hook-shaped form resists or virtually eliminates a slip-off from the contact point of the motorcycle or moped.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the positioning element and the at least one snap-in element are formed integrally on the adapter plate. The number of structural components of the access panel and thus also the assembly effort are thereby minimized. Furthermore, this contributes to the strength of the structural components in the event of loads and minimizes the clearance of the access panel in the assembled state.

Furthermore, embodiments are advantageous in which the adapter plate has an adapter recess for at least partially integrally receiving the mobile device. The adapter recess enables the mobile device to be integrated into the adapter plate and makes optimal use of the installation space and the space for the fastening device on the motorcycle or moped.

In a further advantageous variant, it is provided according to the invention that the actuating lever acts directly or indirectly on the engagement element via the coupling element in order to displace the engagement element.

In one embodiment, the luggage framework according to the invention is such that the coupling element comprises at least two coupling webs spaced apart from one another in a transverse direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, which coupling webs engage behind a second fastening point on the motorcycle or moped for fastening the luggage rack in the closed position of the actuating lever. The two engagement tabs represent a reliable, space-saving and simple method for fastening the luggage rack at the second fastening point. The engagement web is adapted to the geometry of the second fastening point and in the final assembly position rests directly on the second fastening point.

It is further advantageous if the luggage rack comprises a fixing plate arranged on the adapter plate for fixedly receiving a piece of luggage of the motorcycle, said fixing plate being fixed on the adapter plate via a fixing member. By means of the fixing plate, the fixation of the luggage piece of the motorcycle is further improved. The fastening plate can be adapted exactly to the requirements of the fastening of the luggage item of the motorcycle without having to take into account the components, such as the moving means, used for fastening the luggage rack to the motorcycle or moped.

In a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the fastening components each comprise an elastic decoupling element for damping forces or vibrations transmitted from the adapter plate to the fastening plate, which decoupling element in the assembled state bears directly against the fastening plate. This results in the shock or other forces or vibrations acting on the luggage part of the motorcycle from the outside during driving with the motorcycle or moped being reduced by means of the elastic decoupling element. This facilitates the holding of the luggage rack on the motorcycle or moped or the holding of the motorcycle luggage piece on the luggage rack and furthermore reduces the occurrence of damage to structural components. It is also particularly advantageous to reduce the tendency of the motorcycle to roll at high speeds by decoupled accommodation.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a sliding plate is provided between the adapter plate and the coupling element, along which the coupling element slides when the lever changes position between the open position and the closed position. By means of the sliding plate, the displacement device is prevented from sliding directly along the adapter plate and thus from possible damage to the structural components. Furthermore, the sliding plate provides optimal friction characteristics, thereby facilitating sliding of the mobile device.

In a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that, when the actuating lever is out of the closed position, the actuating lever projects beyond the adapter plate in a vertical direction orthogonal to the longitudinal and transverse directions and prevents the motorcycle luggage part from being mounted on the adapter plate.

Preferably, the luggage piece is configured such that when the lever is out of the closed position, the lever protrudes in a vertical direction beyond the fixed plate and prevents the fitting of the luggage piece of the motorcycle on the fixed plate.

It is advantageous here to prevent the driver of the motorcycle or moped from driving away and the motorcycle luggage item from not being fixed to the luggage rack as intended. This precludes the loss of motorcycle luggage pieces based on incorrect assembly of the luggage rack.

Detailed Description

Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of a luggage rack 1 for the fixed accommodation of a luggage piece for a motorcycle or a moped. The luggage rack 1 comprises an adapter plate 2 on which the motorcycle luggage piece can be fixed. A positioning element 3 is formed on the adapter plate 2 for the positional determination and pre-fixing of the luggage rack 1 at a first fixing point 13 of the motorcycle or moped. Furthermore, the adapter plate 2 has two snap-in elements 7, which are arranged at a distance from the positioning element 3 in the longitudinal direction, which corresponds to the direction of travel when the luggage rack 1 is in normal use, and which are designed for pre-fixing at the second fixing locations 14. The two snap-in elements 7 are releasably latched to the corresponding receptacles 8 provided at the second fastening points 14. Furthermore, the positioning element 3 and the two snap-in elements 7 are formed in one piece on the adapter plate 2.

Fig. 1 or 2 furthermore shows that the adapter plate 2 has an adapter recess 9 for receiving the mobile device 4 in a partially integrated manner. The displacement device 4 has an engagement element 5 and a lever 6 which cooperates with the engagement element 5. The operating lever 6 is adjustable between an open position and a closed position and is located in the closed position. The engaging element 5 is located in a fixed position on the motorcycle or the moped. The illustrated luggage rack 1 comprises a fixing plate 15 mounted to the adapter plate 2 for fixedly receiving a piece of luggage of a motorcycle.

Fig. 2 shows a perspective view of the luggage rack 1 from fig. 1, with the fixing plate detached. The adapter plate 2 is provided with four fixing members 16 for fixing the fixing plate. The fastening members 16 each comprise an elastic decoupling element for damping forces or vibrations transmitted from the adapter plate 2 to the fastening plate 15. In the assembled state, the elastic decoupling element bears directly against the fastening plate.

Fig. 3 shows a perspective bottom view of the luggage rack 1. The positioning element 3 projects as a positioning hook from the adapter plate 2 and has a hook-shaped part at its free end. The positioning element 3 engages behind a first fastening point 13 on the motorcycle or the moped and thus ensures the position determination and the pre-fastening. The actuating lever 6 of the displacement device 4 for displacing the engaging element 5 is indirectly connected to the engaging element 5 via a coupling element 10. For this purpose, shafts arranged in a transverse direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction are respectively arranged between the actuating rod 6 and the coupling element 10 and between the coupling element 10 and the engaging element 5. The third shaft supports the control lever 6 on the displacement device 4 or on the adapter plate 2. The coupling element 5 comprises two coupling webs 18 spaced apart from one another in the transverse direction, which engage behind the second fastening point 14 on the motorcycle or moped for fastening the luggage rack 1, since the actuating lever 6 is in the closed position. Furthermore, a sliding plate 17 is provided between the adapter plate 2 and the coupling element 5. The engaging element 5 slides along the sliding plate 17 when the operating lever 6 changes position between the open position and the closed position. For the movable mounting of the engaging element 5 on the displacement device 4, four recesses (20) are provided on the engaging element 5, which recesses extend in the longitudinal direction (direction of travel). Via these interspaces (20), the joining element 5 is movably fixed by means of a fixing member. The longitudinal extension of the recess (20) enables the engaging element (5) to be slid back and forth in the longitudinal direction by means of the actuation of the actuating lever (6).

The invention is not limited in its embodiment to the preferred embodiments described above. Rather, variants are conceivable which make use of the illustrated solution even in embodiments which are designed in principle differently.
