When the heat dissipation of the outer machine electric control box is poor and the temperature rise of components is too high, parameters such as the running current of the whole machine do not reach the action point of frequency limiting and even frequency reduction of the compressor, the air conditioner is in an overload running state, and the service lives of the air conditioner and the components are greatly shortened.

In the second frequency-reducing mode, if the temperature T of the outer unit electronic control box is reduced to be less than or equal to the third preset temperature T3, the air conditioner enters the first frequency-reducing mode.

In this embodiment, the operating power of the air conditioner is rapidly reduced by setting the second frequency reduction mode, the temperature of the outer machine electric control box is reduced by a faster frequency reduction speed when the temperature of the outer machine electric control box continues to rise, and the temperature of the outer machine electric control box is effectively limited to continue to rise, so that the normal operation of the electric control box is effectively protected, and the service life of the air conditioner is prolonged.
