1. A male and female terminal is characterized in that,

the female terminal portion has an inner peripheral surface along a direction surrounding the axis and has a plurality of recessed portions that are recessed more radially outward than the inner peripheral surface and extend in an axial direction of the axis and are arranged radially centering on the axis at intervals from each other in a circumferential direction of the inner peripheral surface,

the male terminal portion has an outer peripheral surface along a direction surrounding the axis and has a maximum number of convex portions that are insertable and removable in the terminal insertion and removal direction with respect to the concave portions and that protrude radially outward than the outer peripheral surface, and that extend in an axial direction of the axis and are arranged radially centering on the axis at intervals from each other in a circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface,

the paired concave portions and the convex portions respectively have contacts that are pressed against each other in the axial direction at an insertion completion position of the male terminal portion with respect to the female terminal portion so as to be in contact with each other.

2. The hermaphroditic terminal according to claim 1,

the contact of the recess is provided on a terminal insertion direction side in which the male terminal portion in the recess is inserted with respect to the recess itself,

the contact of the convex portion is provided on the terminal insertion direction side in the convex portion.

3. The hermaphroditic terminal according to claim 1,

the inner peripheral surface and the terminal insertion direction side of the concave portion in the female terminal portion are formed as tail-constricted shape portions whose distances from the axis in an orthogonal direction orthogonal to the axis direction gradually become shorter as going toward the terminal insertion direction,

the outer peripheral surface of the male terminal portion and a portion of a front end portion of the convex portion on the terminal insertion direction side, which is inserted into the tail tapered portion of the female terminal portion, are formed as tapered portions whose distance from the axis in a direction orthogonal to the axis direction gradually becomes shorter as going toward the terminal insertion direction,

the contacts of the recess are disposed in the tail pinched portion,

the contact of the convex portion is provided at the tapered shape portion.

4. The hermaphroditic terminal according to any one of claims 1 to 3,

the recessed portion has a wedge groove-shaped portion in which the tail portion is contracted as the radial outer side of 2 recessed wall surfaces or 2 recessed wall surfaces in the circumferential direction, which is delimited in the radial direction, advances to the radial outer side,

the convex portion has a tapered portion that tapers radially outward as the radial outer side of 2 convex wall surfaces or 2 convex wall surfaces in the circumferential direction that is bounded radially outward,

the contact points of the recess are provided on the respective recess wall surfaces in the wedge groove-shaped portion,

the contact of the convex portion is provided on each of the convex wall surfaces in the wedge-shaped portion.

5. The hermaphroditic terminal according to any one of claims 1 to 4,

the male and female terminals have a pressing mechanism that presses at least one of the female terminal portion and the male terminal portion toward the other with the urging force in the axial direction when the male and female terminals are at the insertion completion position, and presses the female terminal portion and the male terminal portion against each other in the axial direction.

6. A mating connector is characterized by comprising:

a female connector provided with a female terminal and a female housing accommodating the female terminal; and

a male connector provided with a male terminal and a male housing accommodating the male terminal,

the female terminal and the male terminal have a common axis along a terminal inserting and extracting direction,

the female terminal has a female terminal portion having a concave shape,

the male terminal has a convex male terminal portion which can be inserted into and removed from the female terminal portion along the terminal insertion and removal direction,

the female terminal portion has an inner peripheral surface along a direction surrounding the axis and has a plurality of recessed portions that are recessed more radially outward than the inner peripheral surface and extend in an axial direction of the axis, and are arranged radially centering on the axis at intervals from each other in a circumferential direction of the inner peripheral surface,

the male terminal portion has an outer peripheral surface along a direction surrounding the axis and has a maximum number of convex portions that are insertable and removable in the terminal insertion and removal direction with respect to the concave portions and that protrude radially outward than the outer peripheral surface, and that extend in an axial direction of the axis and are arranged radially centering on the axis at intervals from each other in a circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface,

the paired concave portions and the convex portions respectively have contacts that are pressed against each other in the axial direction at an insertion completion position of the male terminal portion with respect to the female terminal portion so as to be in contact with each other.

Technical problem to be solved by the invention

However, in the male and female terminals, it is necessary to reduce contact resistance between contacts. In addition, there is room for improvement in this point of the above-described female and male terminals of the energization system.

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a male and female terminal and a mating connector capable of reducing contact resistance.

Means for solving the problems

In order to achieve the above object, a male-female terminal according to the present invention includes a female terminal and a male terminal, the female terminal and the male terminal being provided with a common axis along a terminal insertion/extraction direction, the female terminal having a female terminal portion of a concave shape, the male terminal having a male terminal portion of a convex shape, the male terminal portion being insertable/extractable in the female terminal portion along the terminal insertion/extraction direction, the female terminal portion having an inner peripheral surface along a direction surrounding the axis and having a plurality of concave portions, the concave portions being recessed radially outward of the inner peripheral surface and extending in the axis direction of the axis and being arranged radially centering on the axis at intervals in a circumferential direction of the inner peripheral surface, the male terminal portion having an outer peripheral surface along the direction surrounding the axis and having a maximum number of convex portions equal to the number of concave portions in a case of the convex portions, the convex portions are capable of being inserted into and pulled out of the concave portions in the terminal insertion and pulling direction, protrude radially outward from the outer peripheral surface, extend in the axial direction of the axis, and are arranged radially around the axis at intervals in the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface, and the pair of concave portions and the pair of convex portions each have a contact point that is pressed against each other in the axial direction at an insertion completion position of the male terminal portion with respect to the female terminal portion so as to come into contact with each other.

Here, it is preferable that the contact of the concave portion is provided on the male terminal insertion direction side with respect to itself in the concave portion, and the contact of the convex portion is provided on the terminal insertion direction side in the convex portion.

Further, it is preferable that the inner peripheral surface in the female terminal portion and the terminal insertion direction side of the concave portion are formed as tail tapered portions whose distance from the axis line in an orthogonal direction orthogonal to the axis line direction gradually becomes shorter as going toward the terminal insertion direction, the outer peripheral surface in the male terminal portion and a front end portion on the terminal insertion direction side of the convex portion and a portion inserted into the tail tapered portion of the female terminal portion are formed as tapered portions whose distance from the axis line in an orthogonal direction orthogonal to the axis line direction gradually becomes shorter as going toward the terminal insertion direction, the contact of the concave portion is provided at the tail tapered portion, and the contact of the convex portion is provided at the tapered portion.

Further, it is preferable that the concave portion has a wedge groove shaped portion in which a radial outer side of 2 or 2 of the concave wall surfaces in a circumferential direction bounded by a radial direction is narrowed as it goes to a radial outer side, the convex portion has a wedge-shaped portion in which a radial outer side of 2 or 2 of the convex wall surfaces in a circumferential direction bounded by a radial direction is narrowed as it goes to a radial outer side, the contact of the concave portion is provided on each of the concave wall surfaces in the wedge groove shaped portion, and the contact of the convex portion is provided on each of the convex wall surfaces in the wedge-shaped portion.

In addition, it is preferable that the male and female terminals include a pressing mechanism that presses at least one of the female terminal portion and the male terminal portion toward the other with the urging force in the axial direction when the male and female terminals are at the insertion completion position, and that presses the female terminal portion and the male terminal portion against each other in the axial direction.

In order to achieve the above object, a fitting connector according to the present invention includes: a female connector provided with a female terminal and a female housing accommodating the female terminal; and a male connector provided with a male terminal and a male housing accommodating the male terminal, the female terminal and the male terminal respectively having a common axis in a terminal inserting and extracting direction, the female terminal having a female terminal portion of a concave shape, the male terminal having a male terminal portion of a convex shape, the male terminal portion being insertable and extractable in the female terminal portion in the terminal inserting and extracting direction, the female terminal portion having an inner peripheral surface in a direction surrounding the axis and having a plurality of concave portions which are recessed more radially outward than the inner peripheral surface and extend in an axis direction of the axis and are arranged radially centering on the axis at intervals from each other in a circumferential direction of the inner peripheral surface, the male terminal portion having an outer peripheral surface in the direction surrounding the axis and having a maximum number of convex portions which is the same as the concave portions, the convex portions are capable of being inserted into and pulled out of the concave portions in the terminal insertion and pulling direction, protrude radially outward from the outer peripheral surface, extend in the axial direction of the axis, and are arranged radially around the axis at intervals in the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface, and the pair of concave portions and the pair of convex portions each have a contact point that is pressed against each other in the axial direction at an insertion completion position of the male terminal portion with respect to the female terminal portion so as to come into contact with each other.

Effects of the invention

The male and female terminals and the mating connector according to the present invention are provided with contacts at the concave portion and the convex portion, and when the male terminal portion is inserted into an insertion completion position with respect to the female terminal portion, the female terminal portion and the male terminal portion are pressed against each other in the axial direction at the insertion completion position, and the contacts are brought into contact with each other. Therefore, the male and female terminals and the mating connector are less susceptible to external input such as vibration than when the male and female terminals are energized via so-called spring contacts, and the contact pressure between the contacts of the concave portion and the contacts of the convex portion is less likely to change. Therefore, the male and female terminals and the fitting connector can maintain the contact pressure at a desired level, and thus can reduce the contact resistance between the contact points of the concave portions and the contact points of the convex portions.
