[ Effect ]

As shown in the present embodiment, in the case of a straddle-type vehicle 10 called an HEV that has a motor generator as a drive source, a relatively large-sized power battery 78 is provided for driving the motor generator. In such a straddle-type vehicle 10, it is desirable to efficiently store a large-sized power battery 78 in the vehicle body cover 48.

Therefore, in the straddle-type vehicle 10 according to the present embodiment, the power battery 78 having a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape is provided in the vehicle body cover 48 disposed above the rear wheel 34, and the ECU80 is disposed below the bottom surface 78a of the power battery 78. Thus, the ECU80 is disposed by utilizing the space between the power battery 78 and the vehicle body cover 48, and therefore, the straddle-type vehicle 10 can be downsized. Further, the power battery 78 can be efficiently disposed in the vehicle body cover 48.

In the straddle-type vehicle 10 according to the present embodiment, the rear end portion of the power battery 78 is disposed forward of the rear end portion of the ECU 80. Thus, the power battery 78 heavier than the ECU80 can be disposed at a position close to the center of gravity of the straddle-type vehicle 10.

In the straddle-type vehicle 10 according to the present embodiment, the power battery 78 is disposed at a position offset forward with respect to the top P1 of the rear lower cover 62 and assumes a forward inclined posture, and the ECU80 is disposed at a position offset rearward with respect to the top P1 and assumes a rearward inclined posture. Accordingly, the power battery 78 and the ECU80 are disposed at an angle along the rear under cover 62 having the curved portion 88 that curves convexly upward, and therefore the center of gravity of the straddle-type vehicle 10 can be lowered.

In the straddle-type vehicle 10 according to the present embodiment, the tail lamp 72 is located at a position overlapping the ECU80 in a plan view and is disposed above the ECU 80. Thus, the tail lamp 72 is disposed above the ECU80, which has a small volume, and therefore the straddle-type vehicle 10 can be downsized.

In the straddle-type vehicle 10 according to the present embodiment, the connector 82 of the tail lamp wire 104 is disposed between the power battery 78 and the rear under cover 62 at a position further forward than the closest portion P2 of the rear under cover 62 closest to the power battery 78. Accordingly, the connector 82 can be disposed with a dead Space (dead Space) between the rear lower cover 62 and the power battery 78.
