5. Method according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the gripping means (44) have a lower plate (48) resting against the inner surface of the bottom wall (16) of the liner (12).
6. An apparatus for applying a liner (12) inside a container (14), wherein each of the liners (12) comprises a bottom wall (16), a side wall (18), an upper opening (20) opposite the bottom wall (16), and a fold (22) extending along an edge of the upper opening (20), wherein the apparatus comprises:
-a stock (24) containing at least one vertical stack (26) in which the liners (12) are inverted and inside one another,
-a de-stacking device (30) having a holding element (36) configured to remove a liner (12) at the top of the stack from the stack (26) in a vertical direction and to invert the liner (12) in order to orient the liner in a vertical direction with the upper opening (20) facing upwards,
-a manipulator (42) carrying a gripping tool (44) configured for gripping the liner (12) held by the holding element (36), wherein the manipulator (42) is configured for inserting the gripping tool (44) and the liner (12) held thereby into a container (14), positioning the liner (12) inside the container (14), releasing the liner (12) into the container (14) and removing the gripping tool (44) from the container (14).
7. Apparatus according to claim 5, wherein said holding element (36) is movable along a path having substantially an inverted U-shape.
8. Apparatus as claimed in claim 5, wherein the retaining element (36) comprises gripping means for gripping a bottom wall (16) of the liner (12) at the top of the stack (26).
9. Apparatus according to any one of claims 5-7, wherein the gripping means (44) comprises a central rod (46), a lower plate (48) and an upper gripper (50) comprising an expandable membrane (52) configured for gripping internally the edge of the upper opening (20) of the liner (12).
10. Apparatus as claimed in claim 8, wherein the gripping tool (44) comprises a presser (56) configured to press the fold (22) of the liner (12) against the open upper edge of the container (14).
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a method for applying a liner inside a container.
The invention has been developed with particular reference to its application in the industry for the preparation and dosing of paints and related products. In the following description, reference will be made to this particular field of application without loss of generality.
Background
Paint is usually prepared or simply dosed inside a cylindrical container with an open upper edge, ready paint is dosed in said cylindrical container, or a plurality of paints, dyes and dilution products are dosed in said cylindrical container and subsequently mixed therein.
Paint containers are typically made of plastic or sheet metal. After filling, the container is closed by a lid closing the open upper edge of the container.
Document DE4126964-a1 describes a container for paints and the like, inside which a recyclable liner resistant to the product contained in the container is applied and which, after use, can be removed from the container, thus cleaning it. After use by the end user, the container may be returned empty to the manufacturer or distributor and may be reused an unlimited number of times, thereby reducing environmental impact.
The use of an inner liner inside the paint container allows:
-reducing the amount of material disposed of as waste after use;
-reducing the production of plastic or metal containers; and is
Reducing the production costs of the container while providing environmental benefits.
However, in the case of the prior art, there is no method or apparatus that can be used on an industrial scale to quickly and efficiently apply a removable liner inside a paint container.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a method and an apparatus for automatically applying a liner inside a container intended to be filled, for example, with paint.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a method and a device having the features that form the subject matter of claims 1 and 6.
The claims form an integral part of the disclosure provided herein in relation to the invention.
