(1) selecting 20 tobacco leaves in tobacco packets of the same production area, the same variety, the same grade and the same batch, and respectively measuring the length and the width of each tobacco leaf, wherein the difference of the leaf length of each tobacco leaf is less than or equal to 3cm, and the difference of the leaf width of each tobacco leaf is less than or equal to 2 cm;

(2) 5 pieces of tobacco leaves in the selected 20 pieces of tobacco leaves are not cut, namely, the whole tobacco leaves are cut; the rest 15 tobacco leaves to be cut are stacked together in order, and are cut at the position of 0.5-2.5cm from the leaf margin to the inner part of the leaf, so that the tobacco leaves are divided into two parts, namely a leaf margin part and a leaf middle part; collecting leaf margin, leaf and whole leaf, separating main vein, cutting into tobacco shreds respectively, and mixing; finally, dividing the 3 parts of cut tobacco into 2 parts respectively, wherein one part is used for measuring the content of conventional chemical components, and the other part is used for evaluating sensory quality;

(3) taking the conventional chemical component indexes and the total sensory quality scores as evaluation factors, carrying out statistical analysis, and comparing quality differences;

(4) according to the industrial evaluation index, after the section with poor quality is separated, the quality performance of the rest part is better, and the application prospect is better.

The analysis result shows that the conventional chemical components and the sensory quality performance are sorted from high to low into leaves, whole leaves and leaf edges, so that the leaf edge part of the tobacco leaves can be separated, the miscellaneous gas of the tobacco leaves is reduced, and the quality of the tobacco leaves is improved.

Compared with the prior art, the invention has the beneficial effects that:

the invention cuts the tobacco leaves according to the quality difference between the leaf margins and the leaves of the tobacco leaves, and after the leaf margins are separated at proper sites, the quality of the sections in the tobacco leaves is obviously improved and more coordinated, miscellaneous qi (mainly scorched qi) is obviously lightened, the taste is obviously improved, and the texture is obviously improved. By the aid of the cutting method, miscellaneous gas of the tobacco leaves can be effectively reduced, the quality of the tobacco leaves is improved, and the use value of the tobacco leaves is improved. The method is simple and easy to implement, low in cost and good in application prospect.
