The three-way catalyst is installed outside the automobile exhaust system and can convert harmful gas, such as CO, HC, NOx, etc. exhausted from automobile exhaust into harmless carbon dioxide, water and nitrogen via oxidation and reduction. When high-temperature automobile exhaust passes through the purification device, the purifying agent in the three-way catalyst enhances the activity of three gases of CO, HC and NOx to promote the three gases to carry out certain oxidation-reduction chemical reaction, wherein CO is oxidized into colorless and nontoxic carbon dioxide gas at high temperature; HC compounds are oxidized at high temperature to water (H20) and carbon dioxide; NOx is reduced to nitrogen and oxygen. Three kinds of harmful gases are changed into harmless gases, so that the automobile exhaust can be purified. The catalyst can simultaneously convert three main harmful substances in the exhaust gas into harmless substances, so the catalyst is called as a ternary catalyst.

The three-way catalytic reactor resembles a muffler. The outer surface of the cylinder is made of double-layer stainless steel sheets into a cylinder shape. The double-layer thin plate interlayer is filled with heat insulating materials, namely asbestos fiber felt. The anti-dropping net 23 is selected to have a suitable mesh number so that it does not affect the penetration of the catalyst and asbestos, and also prevents the casing of the three-way catalyst 8 from dropping into the collection bag 21.

The air blower 3 includes an air pump 31 and an air supply duct 32. The air pump 31 is arranged outside the disassembling cavity, one end of the blast pipe 32 is connected with the air pump 31, and the other end of the blast pipe extends into the disassembling cavity. Preferably, the blast pipe 32 is disposed opposite to the first discharging hole so as to accurately blow the catalyst and asbestos in the three-way catalyst 8 into the collection bag 21, preventing them from flying in the disassembly chamber.

The hydraulic shear 4 is used for shearing off the shell of the three-way catalyst 8, at least the cutter head part of the hydraulic shear 4 is arranged in the disassembly cavity, the hydraulic transmission part of the hydraulic shear 4 can be arranged outside the disassembly cavity and penetrates through the box body 11 to be connected with the cutter head part, the penetrating part of the hydraulic shear on the box body 11 is also preferably subjected to dustproof treatment, for example, an elastic barrier material is adopted to fill the gap between the hydraulic shear 4 and the box body 11, and asbestos and catalyst are prevented from floating out of the gap.

The feeding device 5 comprises a hopper 51, a feeding pipe 52 and a baffle 53. The operator takes one three-way catalyst 8 again, repeats the above operation, and completes the disassembling process.
