Technical Field

The present invention relates to a lighting device for illuminating a vehicle interior of a motor vehicle and to an operating device for such a lighting device.

The invention also relates to a motor vehicle having such a lighting device.

Finally, the invention relates to a method for illuminating a vehicle interior of a motor vehicle.

Background

The interior lighting of a motor vehicle, whose lighting properties can be adjusted depending on various environmental parameters, is generally known as "adaptive interior lighting".

On this basis, DE 102015011891 a1 relates to a method for adjusting the interior lighting in a vehicle. Interior illumination is produced by variable individual control of a lighting unit having a plurality of light sources. The luminous distance of the interior space illumination covers substantially the entire width of the vehicle. This enables the interior illumination and reading light to be realized by means of these light sources.

DE 102013009063 a1 describes a method for controlling the light emission of interior space lighting for vehicles. The method presents a certain section of the vehicle interior space on a display unit. The light emission of the interior illumination can be varied by the user by means of the operating unit.

DE 102015118092 a1 relates to a vehicle having a control unit which displays information about the locking state of the vehicle door and a safety belt installed in the vehicle on a display screen.

DE 102004061417 a1 relates to a vehicle operating system. The operating system includes a display screen for presenting a menu structure for controlling various vehicle functions. The menu structure can also be used to control the interior lighting of a car.

Disclosure of Invention

The object of the invention is to show a new way for the development of a lighting device for illuminating a vehicle interior of a motor vehicle.

The solution of the invention to achieve the above object is the subject of the independent claims. Preferred embodiments are seen in the dependent claims. The basic idea of the invention is to provide a lighting device for illuminating a vehicle interior of a motor vehicle with an operating device for the individual control of the light sources of the lighting device and with a display unit which displays a partial image of the vehicle interior illuminated by the controllable light sources. The display unit preferably comprises a touch sensitive display. This facilitates the operation of the light sources of the lighting device by the user of the lighting device, typically the driver or the passenger of the vehicle. In this way, even when the lighting device includes a plurality of light sources that are independently controlled, comfortable operation of the lighting device can be performed.

The lighting device according to the invention for illuminating a vehicle interior of a motor vehicle comprises a plurality of light sources and a control device for the independent control of at least two of the light sources, preferably a plurality of the light sources, particularly preferably all the light sources. The lighting device further comprises an operating device connected with the control device, and the operating device comprises a plurality of operating elements used for being independently controlled by a user. Furthermore, the operating device comprises a display unit which displays an image of at least one part of the vehicle interior which can be illuminated or illuminated by the controllable light source. By "localized image" herein is meant an image display of at least one region of the interior space of the vehicle that may be illuminated by the controllable light source. Such a local image can be a real-time image or a still image of the area generated by means of a camera. Such a photograph may be modified by image processing prior to display or displayed in an unaltered (i.e., photographic) form.

According to a preferred embodiment, in the partial image a rear seat area of the vehicle interior is displayed, preferably both a left and a right area of the rear seat area are displayed, which rear seat area can be illuminated by means of at least one of the light sources. In this way, the lighting of the rear seat region can be controlled by means of the operating device. The illumination of the left and right zones of the rear seat area can preferably be controlled independently.

Advantageously, the light source is coordinated with a partial image of the vehicle interior, which is displayed in the display unit, in such a way that the illumination of the rear seat region, which is displayed in the partial image, can be changed by actuating at least one operating element.

According to a preferred embodiment, the partial image displayed by the display unit or the touch-sensitive display is a real-time image of the vehicle interior captured by means of a camera installed in the vehicle interior of the motor vehicle. In the case of a change in the illumination of the interior of the vehicle by correspondingly controlling the light sources via the control device and the operating elements of the operating device connected thereto, the changed illumination is displayed directly in the real-time image. In the case of an operating device which is arranged, for example, in a center console (not shown) of the motor vehicle and by means of which the rear seat region of the vehicle interior is detected by means of a camera, the driver acquires current information about the illumination state of the rear seat region by means of the operating device in the center console.

In an alternative embodiment, the partial image is a predefined image, in particular a graphic, which is stored in an image memory provided in the control device or in the operating device. This image may also be made by a camera. The above-described embodiment is not a real-time image, but preferably refers to a graphic, so that no camera or other image acquisition means need be provided in this embodiment.

According to a preferred embodiment, the operating element is designed as a user-actuatable key, which is preferably arranged in a grid-like manner to form a keyboard. This solution is extremely low cost, since the desired functionality, i.e. the control of the light sources by the user, can be achieved even without providing a relatively costly touch sensitive display.

Advantageously, the light sources may form and/or comprise an array of LEDs.

Preferably, the at least one light source is designed such that its brightness and/or color of light and/or angle of illumination can be changed by means of the operating device.

The invention also relates to an operating device for controlling a lighting device for a rear seat region of a vehicle interior of a motor vehicle. The lighting device is particularly the aforementioned lighting device. The operating device comprises a plurality of operating elements and a display unit, which together implement a touch-sensitive display. Displaying, in the display, at least one image of the rear seat area in at least one display area. According to the invention, the at least one image is divided into a plurality of sections. By actuating one or more of these sections, it is possible for the user to select in which region of the rear seat region the illumination is required, or in which region the illumination is required to be changed by subsequently controlling the illumination device accordingly, in the case that the illumination has been activated. According to the invention, at least one operating element is provided, which is used to select a certain preset lighting program. This enables the selected lighting program to be presented on the display, i.e. to be simulated. So that the user determines whether the selected lighting program corresponds to the desired lighting scenario before activating it.

According to a preferred embodiment, in the display, an image of a left area of the rear seat area is displayed in a left display area. Displaying an image of a right area of the rear seat area in a right display area. This allows the control of the left and right rear seat areas in a separate, i.e. independent manner.

According to a preferred embodiment, at least one operating element is provided in the touch-sensitive display, which is used to adjust at least one illumination parameter by manipulation. This parameter may preferably refer to the brightness and/or the color of the light generated by the light source.

In a further preferred embodiment, at least one operating element is present in the display as a manipulable sliding adjuster. By means of the sliding actuator, at least one lighting parameter, in particular the brightness and/or the color of the light generated by the light source, can be adjusted.

Thus, according to an advantageous solution, the at least one operating element can be configured as an activation element for activating a selected lighting program in the lighting device. The term "activation" means that the selected lighting program is implemented in the vehicle interior space by means of the lighting device.

The invention also relates to a motor vehicle having a vehicle interior in which the lighting device and/or the operating device is/are arranged. The aforementioned advantages of the lighting device and the operating device are therefore also applicable to the motor vehicle according to the invention.

The invention also relates to a method for illuminating a vehicle interior of a motor vehicle, in particular of the aforementioned motor vehicle. According to the method, at least two light sources, preferably a plurality of light sources, particularly preferably all light sources, of the lighting device for illuminating the vehicle interior are controlled independently by means of a plurality of operating devices. According to the method, at least one partial image of the vehicle interior, which can be illuminated or illuminated by the controllable light source, is displayed by means of a display unit arranged in the vehicle interior.

Further important features and advantages of the invention are described in the dependent claims, the figures and the description of the figures in connection with the figures.

It is understood that the features mentioned above and those yet to be explained below can be combined in the manner given in the present application, but also in other combinations or applied separately within the scope of the invention.

Detailed Description

Fig. 1 shows an example of a motor vehicle 1 according to the invention in schematic form. An illumination device 6 for illuminating the vehicle interior 5 is provided in the vehicle interior 5 of the motor vehicle 1. The lighting device 6 comprises a plurality of light sources 2a-2g for illuminating the vehicle interior 5 and a control device 7 connected to the light sources 2a-2 g. The light sources 2a-2g are used in particular for illuminating a rear seat area 12 of the vehicle interior 5 with two rear seats 13 and two console 14. By means of the control device 7 the light sources 2a-2g can be controlled independently of each other. As exemplarily shown in fig. 1 for the light sources 2a-2g, they may be constituted by LEDs arranged in an LED array in the vehicle interior 5. Other types of suitable light emitting means may also be used in the variant. It is also possible to provide light sources 2a-2g arranged in a manner different from the shape of the array.

The lighting device 6 further comprises an operating device 8 which is in communication connection with the control device 7. The light sources 2a-2g can be operated by the user by controlling them by means of the control device 7 by means of the operating device 8. By means of the segments 22a, 22b, the light sources 2a-2g can be selected and activated. Thereby selecting the area to be illuminated in the rear seat area of the vehicle in a targeted manner. Furthermore, a camera 10 is arranged in the vehicle interior 5. In the example shown in the figures, the camera 10 is configured so as to produce real-time images of the left and right zones 12a, 12b of the rear seating area 12.

Irrespective of the type of light-emitting means used, the light sources 2a-2g are designed in such a way that the brightness and/or the color of the emitted light can be varied by means of the operating device 8. Furthermore, the light sources 2a-2g may also be constructed such that the illumination angle of the light sources 2a-2g is changed. This is exemplarily shown in fig. 1 for a light source denoted with reference sign 2 g. The adjustability of the light source 2g is illustrated in fig. 1 by means of a double arrow denoted by reference sign 18.

Fig. 2 is an independent schematic view of the operating device 8. As shown, the operating device 8 is constructed as a touch-sensitive display 9, which comprises a plurality of operating elements 4. The operating element 4 can be integrated in the touch-sensitive display or be embodied as a separate key. In the display 9, the left display area 9a corresponds to the left area 12a of the rear seat area 12. The right display area 9b corresponds to the right area 12b of the rear seat area 12. In the left display area 9a, an image 21a of the left area 12a of the rear seat area 12 is displayed. Accordingly, an image 21b of the right area 12b of the rear seat area 12 is displayed in the right display area 12 b. The presented images 21a, 21b may be real-time images taken by the camera 10.

As shown in fig. 2, a plurality of operating elements 4a are arranged on the left edge of the left display region 9a, which are used to adjust different lighting parameters, such as brightness or light color, for the left region 12a of the rear seat region 12. Different preset lighting programs may also be selected with the light color or brightness corresponding to the respective program. Accordingly, a plurality of operating elements 4b are arranged on the right edge of the right display field 9b, which are used to set different lighting parameters, such as brightness or light color, for the left field 12a of the rear seat region 12. Lighting programs "work", "atmosphere", "vertical lighting", "reading", etc. can also be provided, for example, for the left or right region 12, 12 b. In this case, different preset lighting programs can also be selected with the light color or brightness corresponding to the respective program. This is achieved by arranging the operating elements 4a, 4b on the left or right edge in a manner that is clear at a glance and thus simplifies operation.

The images 21a, 21b of the rear seat area 12 presented in the left or right display areas 9a, 9b are each divided into a plurality of sections 22a, 22 b. By touching a certain section 22a in the left display region 9a, it can be specified by the user in which region of the left region 12a illumination is required, or in which region the illumination is changed by subsequently actuating the corresponding operating element 4a by means of the light sources 2a-2g in the case of an already activated illumination. Multiple sections 22a may also be selected by the user. Accordingly, by touching a certain section 22b in the right display region 9b, it can be specified by the user in which region of the right region 12b the illumination is changed by subsequently actuating the corresponding operating element 4 b. Multiple sections 22b may also be selected by the user. Depending on the selected section 22a or 22b and the selected operating element 4a or 4b, the control/regulating device 7 controls the light sources 2a-2g such that the lighting effect desired by the user and selected by means of the operating element 4a, 4b is achieved in the left or right zone.

The lighting program selected by the user is first presented as a simulated image 21a or 21b in the respective display area 9a, 9 b. The user can thus check whether the simulation program corresponds to the desired lighting situation without actually changing the lighting of the rear seat area 12. This allows the user to "try out" multiple lighting programs before actually activating them.

One of the operating elements 4a, 4b present in the display 9 is designed as an activation element 25a or 25 b. The lighting program selected by the user is activated by actuating the activation element 25a or 25 b. That is, the illumination means 6 are controlled by the control means 7 such that the light sources 2a-2g realize a corresponding illumination program. Subsequently, the left or right rear seat area 12a, 12b is activated by the light sources 2a-2g according to the selected lighting program.

To enhance operability, one of the operating elements 4a, 4b may be embodied as a sliding adjuster 24a or 24b which is present in the left or right display area 9a, 9b and which can be manipulated by the user. By actuating the sliding actuator 24a, 24b, the lighting parameters, in particular the brightness and the color of the light generated by the light source 2a-2g, can be adjusted.

If no camera 10 is provided in the vehicle interior 5, a predefined image, in particular in the form of a graphic, can be presented in the display 9, which can be stored in an image memory provided in the control device 7 or the operating device 8. The predefined image can of course also be made by means of a suitable camera.

In a simplified variant, the non-touch-sensitive display 9, shown roughly in fig. 3, can also be used instead of the touch-sensitive display 9. In this case, keys 17 which can be actuated by a user of the operating device 8, which may be arranged, for example, on the side of the display 9, are used as operating elements 4.
