As a precious wild fungus, the boletus edulis is an important export mushroom in China, but because the boletus edulis is a mycorrhizal fungus which is symbiotic with higher plants and is difficult to grow on an artificial culture medium, the boletus edulis of commercial trade at present is all from wild resources collected in forests, and cannot meet the increasing demand.
