an atmosphere lamp disposed inside a vehicle;

dark green indicates smooth traffic with no congestion.

6. The ambience light system as claimed in claim 4, wherein a user is able to set a color corresponding to a traffic accident, road work, traffic control through the input unit.

7. The ambience lamp system according to claim 4, wherein a user can select whether to activate the ambience lamp system via the input unit or can activate the ambience lamp system via a separate switching device.

8. Ambience light system according to claim 4, characterized in that the user is able to set a section of the ambience light through the input unit for displaying road traffic information for the entire journey, which section is preferably located directly in front of the driver.

9. The ambience light system of claim 4, wherein the input unit is a center control screen of a vehicle.

10. A method of controlling an ambience lamp using an ambience lamp system according to any one of claims 1 to 9, the method comprising receiving a signal whether to activate the ambience lamp system, the method further comprising, if it is determined to activate the ambience lamp system:

receiving the corresponding relation between the color of the atmosphere lamp and the road traffic information;

a section for receiving the atmosphere lamp and displaying the road traffic information of the whole journey;

receiving road traffic information from a satellite navigation system; and

and controlling the section of the atmosphere lamp to represent the road traffic information of the whole journey with corresponding color according to the road traffic information from the departure place to the destination of the vehicle.

Technical Field

The present invention relates to the field of automotive electronics, and more particularly to an ambience lamp system associated with traffic information and a method of controlling an ambience lamp using the same.

Background

With the continuous development of the automobile industry, the development of the automobile navigation system is very rapid. Car navigation can be achieved by means of a car navigation system which receives and processes GPS signals from the satellites and displays a corresponding electronic map and the current position of the vehicle on a display device of the vehicle, for example a central control screen, implementing a navigation function.

The smartphone can also implement positioning and navigation functions. The mobile phone user can download and install navigation map software, such as a high-grade map, a Baidu map and the like, or use other professional map navigation software for navigation. The navigation software on the mobile phone can also be connected to a display device of the vehicle so as to facilitate the driver to observe the navigation information when driving.

The vehicle navigation system or the mobile phone navigation software can acquire and display the path of the whole journey and the real-time position of the vehicle, and simultaneously display the road congestion degree or other traffic information (such as traffic accidents, road maintenance, road restriction and the like) of the whole path through different color blocks, or display the road information within the range of 5-10 kilometers near the vehicle through a small screen map.

In navigation, there are currently two widely used methods of showing route traffic information, i.e. a full view of the light pillar or the entire route. The light column is a vertical bar, and the color from red to green indicates that the traffic is busy and smooth. The full view of the entire route is similar to a light pillar, but rather than an abstract vertical light pillar, the entire route information is displayed on a small map, which may be up to 5 km or 10 km in scale. The vehicle driver can be helped to know the traffic information of the upcoming route through the light pillar mode or the full view mode.

In the vehicle driving process, no matter a vehicle-mounted navigation system or a mobile phone is used for navigation, a driver is usually required to frequently shift the sight from a road in front to a navigation display interface, the attention of the driver is dispersed, and therefore potential safety hazards can exist.

The present invention is directed to solving this and/or other technical problems of the prior art.

Disclosure of Invention

The present invention is directed to an improved ambiance light system that associates traffic information with an ambiance light that is capable of displaying traffic conditions from a current location of a vehicle to a destination location in different colors so that a driver can learn traffic information for an upcoming route in real time without having to view or reduce the number of times that the navigation display interface is viewed.

According to the invention, there is provided an ambience light system associated with traffic information, comprising:

an atmosphere lamp disposed inside a vehicle;

a control device configured to control a color of an ambience lamp,

According to the invention, there is also provided a method of controlling an ambience lamp using an ambience lamp system according to the invention, characterized in that the method comprises receiving a signal whether to activate the ambience lamp system, the method further comprising, if it is determined that the ambience lamp system is activated:

receiving the corresponding relation between the color of the atmosphere lamp and the road traffic information;

a section for receiving the atmosphere lamp and displaying the road traffic information of the whole journey;

receiving road traffic information from a satellite navigation system; and

and controlling the section of the atmosphere lamp to represent the road traffic information of the whole journey with corresponding color according to the road traffic information from the departure place to the destination of the vehicle.

According to the atmosphere lamp system disclosed by the invention, the road traffic information is combined with the atmosphere lamp, so that the atmosphere lamp can display the traffic condition from the current position of the vehicle to the destination position through different colors (such as red, yellow, green and the like), the traffic condition is more beneficial to a driver to pay attention to, the integration of the vehicle is improved, the requirement of driving for mobile phone navigation is reduced, and the design feeling of the atmosphere lamp is also improved.

Detailed Description

Embodiments of the present invention are described below with reference to the drawings. In the following description, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding and enabling description for those skilled in the art. It will be apparent, however, to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without some of these specific details. Furthermore, it should be understood that the invention is not limited to the specific embodiments described. Rather, any combination of the features and elements described below is contemplated as carrying out the invention, whether or not they relate to different embodiments. Thus, the following aspects, features, embodiments and advantages are merely illustrative and are not considered elements or limitations of the claims except where explicitly recited in a claim.

Fig. 1 schematically shows a block diagram of an ambience lamp system 100 according to the invention. The ambience lamp system 100 mainly comprises an ambience lamp 10, a control device 20 and an input unit 30.

The atmosphere lamp 10 is disposed inside the vehicle. The atmosphere lamp is an environment lamp inside the vehicle for creating the atmosphere of the lamplight environment in the vehicle, and can be arranged at the air conditioner air outlet at the front part and the rear part of the carriage, at one side of the door plate facing the inside of the carriage or near the loudspeaker in the vehicle. The ambience lamp 10 comprises a plurality of light emitting units, including but not limited to LEDs, OLEDs, etc., each light emitting unit being capable of displaying a different color and its brightness being capable of varying rhythmically over time like a breathing lamp.

The control device 20 is configured to control the color of the atmosphere lamp 10. For example, the control device 20 can control the atmosphere lamp 10 to display different colors over time, so as to create various environmental atmospheres in the vehicle, make people in the vehicle happy, and improve the driving experience.

According to the present invention, the control device 20 is further configured to receive road traffic information from the satellite navigation system 40, and control the ambience lamp 10 to represent the road traffic information of the entire trip in different colors according to the road traffic information of the vehicle from the departure location to the destination.

Fig. 2 schematically shows an ambience lamp segment displaying road traffic information by different colors. This section is preferably located directly in front of the driver so that the driver knows traffic information for the upcoming route. As shown in fig. 2, the start point a of the segment indicates the departure point of the vehicle, and the end point B indicates the destination of the vehicle. Thus, the section of the atmosphere lamp from a to B represents the entire journey from the vehicle origin to the destination. The control device 20 projects or maps the road traffic information of the entire trip received from the satellite navigation system 40 onto the section, and controls the atmosphere lamp 10 to represent the road traffic information of the entire trip by different colors.

As shown in fig. 2, a color point C (e.g., white) represents the current position of the vehicle, and as the vehicle moves, the color point will continue to move rightward, i.e., toward the end point B representing the destination. The left side of the color point may revert to the original color of the mood light, changing back to the original mood light theme of the vehicle. In addition, the left side of the color point may also be changed to, for example, gray, or the corresponding light emitting unit is turned off.

The input unit 30 is communicatively connected with the control device 20, and the input unit 30 is configured to receive information input by a user and transmit the information to the control device 20. Advantageously, the input unit 30 may be a center screen or other input device of the vehicle.

Advantageously, the user can set different colors for different road conditions by himself. For example, the user can set, through the input unit 30, a correspondence relationship of the atmosphere lamp color and the road traffic information, including, for example:

white represents the current position of the vehicle;

red indicates that traffic is heavily congested and the vehicle is traveling very slowly;

yellow indicates moderate traffic congestion, and the vehicle is running slowly;

green indicates light traffic congestion;

dark green indicates smooth traffic with no congestion.

Advantageously, the user may also customize the correspondence between other traffic events (such as traffic accidents, road works, traffic regulations, etc.) and the atmosphere lamp color (such as pink, blue, purple, etc.) by himself via the input unit 30.

It is to be understood that, when setting the colors of the mood light corresponding to the road traffic information and the traffic incident, the colors are not limited to the above-described colors, but any colors that are preferred by the user may be used.

Furthermore, the customization of traffic events and the colors corresponding thereto is not mandatory, but is optional. In other words, the user may set certain traffic events (e.g., traffic accidents, road works, traffic control, etc.) as desired. If the user does not select a color for a traffic event (e.g., a road assignment), the traffic event will not be displayed on the ambience lamp.

The user may select whether to display traffic information for the travel path through the ambience lamp 10, i.e. whether to activate the ambience lamp system 100. Advantageously, the user can select whether to activate/trigger the ambience lamp system 100 via the input unit 30, or can activate or deactivate the ambience lamp system 100 via a separate switching device.

The user may choose to display traffic information for the travel path using a certain section of the ambience light. Advantageously, the user can set the mood light through the input unit 30 for displaying a section of road traffic information for the entire journey, such as the section shown in fig. 2 (from a to B). The section is preferably located directly in front of the driver.

The control device 20 is configured to project/map the entire trip from the departure place to the destination of the vehicle to the ambience lamp section set by the user, and control the section of the ambience lamp to represent the road traffic information of the entire trip in a corresponding color. More specifically, as shown in fig. 2, the control device 20 controls the atmosphere lamp color between the color point C (representing the current position of the vehicle) and the end point B (representing the destination of the vehicle) according to the received road traffic information, and the left side of the color point C is restored to the original atmosphere lamp theme or the corresponding light emitting unit is turned off or changed to another color, such as gray.

In an embodiment, the control device 20 may be, for example, an ambience lamp electronic control unit.

According to the present invention, when road traffic information from a navigation service provider (e.g., four-dimensional map, high-grade map, etc.) is transmitted to the in-vehicle navigation system, the same signal is transmitted to the control device 20, and the control device 20 controls the color of the ambience lamp 10 according to the road traffic information, thereby achieving synchronization of the traffic information and the ambience lamp.

According to the atmosphere lamp system 100 provided by the invention, the road traffic information and the atmosphere lamp are combined, so that the atmosphere lamp can display the traffic condition from the current position of the vehicle to the destination position through different colors (such as red, yellow, green and the like), the traffic condition is more beneficial for a driver to pay attention to, meanwhile, the integration of the vehicle is improved, the requirement of driving for mobile phone navigation is reduced, and the design feeling of the atmosphere lamp is also improved.

Fig. 3 schematically shows a flow chart of a method of controlling an ambience lamp 10 using an ambience lamp system 100 according to the invention.

The method first proceeds to step S01 where the control device 20 receives a signal whether to activate the ambience lamp system 100. If it is determined that the ambience lamp system 100 is activated, the method proceeds to step S02, otherwise the method ends.

In step S02, the control device 20 receives the correspondence between the color of the mood light and the road traffic information. Then, in step S03, the control device 20 receives the section in which the atmosphere lamp is used to display the road traffic information for the entire trip. Then, in step S04, the control device 20 receives the road traffic information from the satellite navigation system. It should be understood that steps S02-S04 may be performed in other orders, or simultaneously.

The method then proceeds to step S05, where the control device 20 controls the section of the ambience lamp to represent the road traffic information for the entire trip in the corresponding color according to the road traffic information from the vehicle' S origin to destination. Wherein, when the color point representing the current position of the vehicle passes (i.e., after the vehicle has traveled), the atmosphere lamp will return to the original color, or go out, or change to another color. The atmosphere lamp displays the traffic condition from the current position of the vehicle to the destination position in real time until the destination is reached.

The atmosphere lamp system and the control method of the present invention have been described above with the aid of specific embodiments. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes and modifications can be made in the atmosphere lamp system and control method of the present invention without departing from the design principles of the present invention. For example, implementations of the invention may not include some of the specific features described, and the invention is not limited to the specific embodiments described, but rather contemplates any combination of the described features and elements. Other embodiments will be apparent to those skilled in the art from consideration of the specification and practice of the disclosed ambience lamp system and control method. It is intended that the specification and examples be considered as exemplary only, with a true scope being indicated by the following claims and their equivalents.
