Disclosure of Invention

Problems to be solved by the invention

However, the conventional meat substitutes can only provide a constant texture, and therefore palatability is sometimes insufficient. In addition, pets (e.g., dogs) prefer to eat soft pellets, but if only soft pellets are fed, the frontal bones are sometimes weakened. Therefore, even if the plurality of particles are the same as the main raw material, different tastes are desired among the particles.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide a pet food having a meat-like appearance and containing particles having different texture even if the main material is the same.

Means for solving the problems

The present invention includes the following aspects.

(1) A pet food comprising a soybean protein particle containing a soybean protein, wherein the soybean protein particle comprises a 1 st soybean protein particle and a 2 nd soybean protein particle, a main material of the 1 st soybean protein particle is the same as a main material of the 2 nd soybean protein particle, a hardness of the 1 st soybean protein particle is in a range of 1 to 15N, and a hardness of the 2 nd soybean protein particle is in a range of 30 to 100N.

(2) The pet food according to (1), wherein the soybean protein particles contain a liquid material, and the content of the liquid material is 25 parts by mass or more per 100 parts by mass of the soybean protein particles.

(3) The pet food according to (1) or (2), wherein the content of the 1 st soybean protein particle is 1 to 40% by mass based on the total amount of the pet food, and the content of the 2 nd soybean protein particle is 1 to 40% by mass based on the total amount of the pet food.

(4) The pet food according to any one of (1) to (3), wherein the size of the soybean protein particles is 3 to 30 mm.

(5) The pet food according to any one of (1) to (4), wherein the mass ratio of the 1 st soybean protein particle to the 2 nd soybean protein particle is 1/3 to 3/1.

ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS OF INVENTION

According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a pet food having a meat-like appearance and containing particles having different tastes even if the main raw material is the same.

Detailed Description

In the present specification, "pet" refers to an animal raised by a human. In a more narrow sense, pets are animals that the owner enjoys. Further, "pet food" refers to a feed for pets. The pet food of the present invention may be sold as "animal feed" or "bait for animals".

In this specification, "palatability" is an index of whether or not a pet likes to eat, and is caused by taste, flavor, smell, and the like.

In this specification, "coating" of a powder (powder) means: powder (powder) is imparted to the particle surface to adhere to the particle surface.

In this specification, "coating" of a liquid means: the liquid is applied to the particle surface and attached to the particle surface, and the case where a part or all of the applied liquid penetrates into the particle is also included. For example, "coating" of a fat means: the oil or fat is applied to the surface of the particles to adhere to the particles, and the case where a part or all of the applied oil or fat penetrates (infiltrates) into the particles is also included.

[ method for measuring moisture content ]

In the present specification, the value of the moisture content is a value obtained by a normal pressure heat drying method.

In the atmospheric pressure heat drying method, a sample to be measured is pulverized by a pulverizer so as to pass through a 1mm sieve, and the pulverized sample is used as an analysis sample, 2 to 5g of the analysis sample is accurately weighed and placed on an aluminum weighing dish, the analysis sample is dried at 135 ℃ for 2 hours, after cooling in a dryer, the weight of the analysis sample is accurately weighed, and the moisture content is determined based on the weight difference between the analysis sample before and after drying.

More specifically, the sample to be measured was pulverized by a pulverizer so as to pass through a 1mm sieve, and the pulverized sample was used as an analysis sample. The mass of the aluminum weighing pot (W1 g) was determined in advance as a constant weight value. An analytical sample was placed in the aluminum weighing pot and weighed to a mass (W2 g). The analytical samples were then dried at 135 ℃ for 2 hours using a forced circulation warm air dryer. After cooling the analytical sample in a dry atmosphere (silica gel dryer), the mass was weighed (W3 g). The water content of the analysis sample was determined from each mass obtained using the following formula.

The water content (unit: mass%) of the analysis sample was (W2-W3)/(W2-W1) × 100

The moisture content is a value measured immediately after the opening of the final product within 30 days from the production day, or a value measured under the same conditions as those of the final product.

[ method for measuring hardness ]

In the present specification, the hardness (fracture hardness) of the granules constituting the pet food granules is a value obtained by the following measurement method.

The breaking stress when the steel sheet was compressed at a constant compression rate was measured under the following conditions using a compression tester (EZ-TEST, model: EZ-500NSX, manufactured by Shimadzu corporation).

Plunger: diameter 15mm, thickness 5 mm's cylindric plunger, platform: plate, compression speed: 60 mm/min, lowest point of plunger: 3.5mm (compression distance), measurement temperature: at 25 ℃.

Specifically, 1 particle to be measured was placed on a plate, and stress was measured while vertically pressing a plunger from directly above the particle at a constant speed. The peak value (maximum value) of the stress was read as the value of the breaking stress.

The numerical unit of the breaking hardness can be converted into newtons (N) by multiplying (multiplying) the numerical value of the breaking stress (unit: kgw) measured by the compression tester by 9.8.

< Pet food >

The pet food of the present embodiment contains soybean protein particles containing soybean protein. In the pet food of the present embodiment, the aforementioned soybean protein particles include the 1 st soybean protein particle and the 2 nd soybean protein particle. The main material of the 1 st soybean protein granule is the same as the main material of the 2 nd soybean protein granule, the hardness of the 1 st soybean protein granule is within a range of 1 to 15N, and the hardness of the 2 nd soybean protein granule is within a range of 30 to 100N.

The hardness of the 1 st soybean protein particle is more preferably in the range of 4 to 10N, and the hardness of the 2 nd soybean protein particle is more preferably in the range of 50 to 100N.

In the present embodiment, the "main raw material" means a raw material that accounts for 50 mass% or more of the total raw materials constituting the pellet. In the present embodiment, the composition of the 1 st soybean protein particle and the 2 nd soybean protein particle is preferably the same composition.

Since the hardness of the 1 st soybean protein particle and the hardness of the 2 nd soybean protein particle are in the above-mentioned ranges, a pet food containing particles having different texture even if the main raw material is the same can be provided. Therefore, the pet food of the present embodiment exhibits a meat-like appearance and can improve the palatability of pets.

In the pet food of the present embodiment, the main material of the 1 st soybean protein particle is the same as the main material of the 2 nd soybean protein particle, and therefore the appearance is the same. Therefore, the pet can be inhibited from selecting only the soft particles in the pet food and eating, and the feeder can more easily feed the pet in consideration of the nutritional balance of the pet.

The moisture content of the 1 st soybean protein particle is preferably 15 to 30% by mass, more preferably 20 to 30% by mass. The moisture content of the 2 nd soybean protein particles is preferably 5 to 20% by mass, more preferably 10 to 20% by mass.

In the pet food of the present embodiment, the content of the 1 st soybean protein particle is preferably 1 to 40% by mass relative to the total amount of the pet food, and the content of the 2 nd soybean protein particle is preferably 1 to 40% by mass relative to the total amount of the pet food. The content of the 1 st soybean protein particle and the 2 nd soybean protein particle is more preferably 5 to 15% by mass, respectively. When the content of the 1 st soybean protein particle and the content of the 2 nd soybean protein particle are within the above-described preferable ranges, the palatability is further improved, and it becomes easy to obtain a pet food containing particles having different texture even if the main raw material is the same.

The size of the soybean protein particles of the present embodiment is preferably 3 to 30mm in both the shortest diameter and the longest diameter, more preferably 6 to 16.5mm, and still more preferably 7 to 12 mm. The soybean protein particles have a particle size which is easy to eat by pets in daily life, and the palatability is improved more easily. In addition, because it is of a size that gives a chewing feeling, it is easy to strengthen the frontal bone.

In the pet food of the present embodiment, the mass ratio of the 1 st soybean protein particle to the 2 nd soybean protein particle is preferably 1/3 to 3/1, more preferably 1/2 to 2/1, and still more preferably 1/1.5 to 1.5/1. With this configuration, the palatability is further improved, and a pet food containing particles having different texture even if the main material is the same can be easily obtained.

The components contained in the pet food of the present embodiment will be described in detail below.

< soy protein particles >

The soybean protein particles are particles comprising a raw material containing at least soybean protein. Examples of the raw material containing the soybean protein include soybean, soybean protein isolate, fermented soybean meal, defatted soybean, and concentrated soybean protein. In the present embodiment, defatted soybeans are preferably used as the material containing the soybean protein. The raw material containing the soybean protein is preferably contained in the soybean protein granules in an amount of 50% by mass or more, more preferably 75% by mass or more, and still more preferably 100% by mass.

Examples of the raw material other than the raw material containing soybean protein in the soybean protein particles include cereals such as wheat flour, wheat gluten, corn, and corn gluten meal; animal protein materials such as chicken powder, meat powder and fish powder; and oils and fats such as beef tallow, palm oil, and soybean oil.

< liquid raw Material >

In this embodiment, the soy protein particles may comprise a liquid feedstock.

Specific examples of the liquid raw material (including semisolid raw materials) include water, oils and fats (animal oils and fats such as Chicken fat (Chicken oil), Lard (Lard), Tallow (Tallow), milk fat, and fish oil; and plant oils and fats such as olive oil, cocoa oil, palm kernel oil, coconut oil, and ailanthus altissima oil), liquid palatability improvers, liquid sugars, humectants, preservatives, emulsifiers, flavors, and colorants.

The liquid raw material of the present embodiment preferably contains sugar alcohol, glycerin, saccharide, and the like.

When sugar alcohol, sugar, or other saccharide is used as the liquid material, the soybean protein particles are sweetened, and therefore the palatability of the pet can be improved and the palatability of the pet can be improved. On the other hand, sugar alcohols and glycerin have a moisturizing effect, and thus the moisture content of the pet food is easily maintained within a desired range by being used as a liquid raw material.

The liquid material preferably contains a mixture of at least water and a humectant, and more preferably contains a mixture of at least 10-30% of water and 70-90% of a humectant.

In the present embodiment, the soybean protein particles contain a liquid material, and the content of the liquid material is preferably 25 parts by mass or more, more preferably 30 parts by mass or more, and still more preferably 35 parts by mass or more, per 100 parts by mass of the soybean protein particles. When the content of the liquid raw material is within the above-described preferable range, the palatability is further improved, and it becomes easy to obtain a pet food containing particles having different tastes even if the main raw material is the same.

< additive >

In the present embodiment, the soybean protein particles may contain additives such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, flavoring materials, fibers, colorants, powdery palatability improvers, and the like. From the viewpoint of improving palatability, a powdery palatability-improving agent is preferable as the additive.

More specifically, examples of the powdery palatability-improving agent include animal material extracts, plant material extracts, yeast extracts, and dried yeast products.

< other particles >

The pet food of the present embodiment may contain particles other than the soybean protein particles (hereinafter sometimes referred to as "food particles").

As the food particles, food particles which have been known as comprehensive nutritional pet foods have been used.

When the pet food of the present embodiment contains food particles, the mass ratio of the soy protein particles to the food particles is preferably 1/99 to 99/1, more preferably 2/98 to 70/30, and still more preferably 3/97 to 60/40.

When the mass ratio of the soybean protein particles to the food particles is within the above-described preferred range, the palatability of the pet food can be further improved easily.

The food particles can be obtained, for example, by heating and molding a raw material mixture in which a powder raw material and a liquid raw material are mixed. The matrix may be expanded particles or non-expanded particles, but expanded particles are preferred from the viewpoint of mouthfeel. The "expanded particles" are particles obtained by molding a raw material mixture into a granular form and subjecting the raw material mixture to an expansion step of foaming the inside of the raw material mixture. The "expansion step" refers to a step of generating a gas inside the raw material mixture by a method such as heating, pressurization, fermentation, chemical reaction, or depressurization. In the expansion step, the volume of the raw material mixture is increased by the generated gas, thereby forming a porous state. The bulk density decreases due to the increase in volume of the feed mixture. The "expanded particles" can be obtained by forming the raw material mixture into particles before, after, or simultaneously with the expansion step. "non-expanded particles" are particles that have not been produced by an expansion process.

Specific examples of the powdery raw material of the food pellet include cereals (e.g., corn, wheat flour, wheat bran, rice, bread flour, barley, oat, rye, etc.), ground beans (e.g., sweet potato, etc.), beans (e.g., whole-grain soybean), starches (e.g., wheat starch, corn starch, rice starch, potato starch, tapioca starch, sweet potato starch, sago starch, processed starch, etc.), plant proteins (e.g., corn protein powder, wheat protein, bean protein, rice protein, potato protein, etc.), meats (e.g., livestock meat, animal meat, chicken, turkey, quail, poultry, etc.), meals (e.g., chicken meal, pig meal, cattle meal, mixed meals thereof), seafood (e.g., tuna, bonito, mackerel, etc.), soft bodies, crabs, etc., crustaceans, octopus, squid, etc., seafood, etc., soft bodies, shrimp, crab, etc., shellfish, squid, etc., fish, etc., cereals, wheat, shellfish such as conch; fish extracts; dried bonito, powder (fish meal), etc.), vegetables, nuts, fungi, eggs, sugars, milk, additives (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, seasoning materials, powdery palatability improvers, fibers, colorants, phosphates, pH adjusters, seasonings, antioxidants, trehalose, etc.), and the like.

The powder is obtained by compressing meat or seafood and pulverizing into fine powder.

More specifically, examples of the powdery palatability-improving agent include animal material extracts, plant material extracts, yeast extracts, and dried yeast products.

The liquid material of the food particles is the same as the above-mentioned < liquid material >.

The shape of the food particles is not particularly limited as long as it is suitable for pet consumption.

For example, any shape such as a sphere, an ellipsoid (go-piece), a doughnut, a pellet, a cylinder, a polygonal column, a plate, a clover, a heart, a star, or a cross can be used.

In addition, the food particles may be in the form of small particles that can be filled by a pet through a bite, or in the form of large particles that can be bitten by a pet several times.

For example, regarding the size of the food particles, the shortest diameter and the longest diameter are both preferably 3 to 30mm, more preferably 6 to 16.5mm, and still more preferably 7 to 12 mm.

Method for producing pet food

The pet food of the present embodiment can be produced by a known method described later, for example.

[ granulation Process ]

The granulation step is a step of granulating the raw material mixture to obtain soybean protein particles.

Examples of the granulating step include a method in which raw materials are mixed to prepare a raw material mixture, and the raw material mixture is molded (granulated) into granules.

As the granulation step, specifically, a method of producing soybean protein granules (expanded granules) using an extruder is exemplified.

For the granulation method using an extruder, for example, the method described in "clinical Nutrition of Small animals 5 th edition" (Michael S. hand, Craig D. thatcher, Rebecca L. Remillard, Philip Roudebausg, Bruce J. Novotny editors, Mark Morris Associates, 2014; p.209 to p.215) can be used.

An example of a method for producing soybean protein particles using an extruder will be described. First, a raw material of soybean protein particles is pulverized as necessary and then mixed. The mixing may be performed while pulverizing using a grinder or the like. Further, water is added as necessary (volatilized in the production process and not finally included in the raw material composition) to obtain a raw material mixture.

The obtained raw material mixture was put into an extruder, heated and pressurized, and then extruded from an outlet. The outlet is provided with a plate having a hole of a predetermined shape formed therein, and a cutter for cutting the raw material mixture extruded from the plate into a predetermined length (thickness). The raw material mixture is extruded from the holes of the plate, cut with a cutter to form a predetermined shape, and released from a pressurized state to normal pressure to expand the water vapor in the raw material mixture, whereby the raw material mixture expands to obtain porous soybean protein particles.

[ drying Process ]

The drying step is a step of drying the soybean protein particles obtained in the granulating step. Examples of the method for drying the soybean protein particles include known methods such as a natural drying method, a method for drying by blowing warm air, a method for drying under reduced pressure, and a method for drying by freeze-drying. Among these drying methods, a method of blowing warm air to dry the pet food is preferable in terms of improving the flavor of the pet food.

The temperature of the soybean protein particles at the time of drying and the temperature of the warm air blown to the soybean protein particles are not particularly limited. For example, the temperature of the warm air is preferably 150 ℃ or lower. The lower limit of the temperature of the warm air is not particularly limited, but is usually a temperature exceeding room temperature, and is preferably 30 ℃ or higher. When the drying is performed at such a temperature range, the time of the heat treatment is preferably 1 minute to 120 minutes.

When the temperature range is not less than the lower limit of the temperature range and the time range, the soybean protein particles can be dried in a relatively short time. When the temperature is lower than the upper limit of the above temperature range, the soybean protein particles are prevented from being excessively heated.

[ procedure for coating liquid Material ]

The liquid material coating step may be performed by charging the soybean protein particles into a container, and then charging and mixing the liquid material into the container.

[ powder coating Process ]

The powder coating step is a step of coating the obtained soybean protein particles or the soybean protein particles coated with a liquid material with a powdery palatability-improving agent by the above-mentioned drying step.

As a method for coating the aforementioned granules with a powdery palatability-improving agent, the following methods can be cited: a method of stirring the soybean protein particles and the powdery palatability improver with a stirrer in a tank or the like; a method of vibrating the container, and the like.

The temperature of the soybean protein particles when the powdery palatability improver is coated on the soybean protein particles is preferably 15 to 60 ℃, more preferably 20 to 50 ℃, and still more preferably 30 to 40 ℃. In this case, the powdery palatability improver is preferably 5 to 40 ℃, more preferably 10 to 35 ℃, and further preferably 15 to 30 ℃. In this case, the powdery palatability-improving agent is preferably 10 to 25 ℃. When the temperature of the soybean protein particles is in the above range, the coating amount of the powdery palatability improver (powder coating amount) attached to the soybean protein particles tends to increase.

[ procedure for mixing food particles ]

In the food particle mixing step, the obtained soybean protein particles are mixed with food particles obtained by a known method and stored in a packaging container or the like.

Examples

The present invention will be described in further detail with reference to examples below, but the present invention is not limited to these examples.

(production of Pet food)

As a raw material of the soybean protein particles, defatted soybeans were used. A raw material of soybean protein granules is put into an extruder, and while kneading, a heating treatment is performed at 100 to 140 ℃ for 1 to 5 minutes to convert a starch component into alpha-form, and the alpha-form is extruded and granulated at an outlet of the extruder and expanded. The obtained granules were dried at 90 ℃ for 60 minutes using a dryer to obtain soybean protein granules.

Liquid raw materials having liquid raw material compositions shown in table 1 and soybean protein granules of respective examples were prepared at mass ratios of table 2 so that the total weight of the granules was 100g, and mixed and stirred to obtain pet foods of respective examples.

(evaluation of hardness and moisture content of Pet food)

For each example of pet food, the physical properties and moisture content of each example of pet food were measured 5 days after the production. The hardness and moisture content of the granules were measured by the methods described above.

In comparative example 6, a commercial pet food containing soybean protein particles was used.

[ Table 1]

Formulation of
Moisture-retaining agent 77%
Water (W) 23%
Total of 100%

[ Table 2]

As shown in table 1, in the pet foods of examples 1 to 2 containing the 1 st and 2 nd soybean protein particles having the same main material, it was confirmed that: the hardness of the No. 1 soybean protein particle is in the range of 1-15N, and the hardness of the No. 2 soybean protein particle is in the range of 30-100N.

Industrial applicability

According to the present invention, there is provided a pet food having a meat-like appearance and containing particles having different tastes even if the main raw material is the same.
