1. An apparatus (150) for monitoring the health status of a patient (100), wherein the apparatus (150) has the following features:

-an input interface (160) for inputting a first pressure signal (145) and a second pressure signal (155); and

-a processing unit (165) for processing the first pressure signal (145) and the second pressure signal (155) to determine a processed value (170) for monitoring the health state of the patient (100) based on the processed value (170).

2. The device (150) according to claim 1, wherein the processing unit (165) is configured to process the first pressure signal (145) as a blood pressure value in a heart ventricle (120) of the patient (100) and to process the second pressure signal (155) as a blood pressure value in an aorta (130) of the patient, wherein a blood pressure difference and/or a pulse wave velocity of a blood pulse wave or an elasticity of at least one blood vessel is determined as the processed value (170) for monitoring the health state of the patient (100).

The apparatus (150) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the input interface (160) is further configured to input a cardiac support blood flow value of an activated cardiac support system (105), the cardiac support blood flow value representing blood flow induced by the cardiac support system (105), wherein the processing unit (165) is further configured to use the cardiac support blood flow value as the processing value (170) to determine a performance value of the heart (125), the performance value corresponding to a pump power of the heart (125) of the patient (100) minus the cardiac support blood flow value.

4. The device (150) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the input interface (160) and the processing unit (165) are configured to be arranged and operated ex vivo to determine the processed value (170).

The device (150) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the input interface (160) and/or the processing unit (165) is designed as a unit that can be set up or set up outside a building in which the patient (100) is located, in particular wherein the input interface (160) and/or the processing unit (165) is designed as a cloud server unit or computer unit that can be contacted via an internet connection.

The device (150) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the processing unit (165) is configured to output a control signal (175) to a heart support system (105) and/or a data transmission signal (180) to a central processing unit (185) and/or a cloud server as a processing value (170) based on the processing value (170), in particular wherein the data transmission signal (180) comprises at least one piece of information obtained from the first pressure signal (145) and/or the second pressure signal (155) by means of a data compression method.

9. A method (400) for monitoring the health status of a patient (100), wherein the method (400) comprises the steps of:

-inputting (410) a first pressure signal (145) and a second pressure signal (155); and

-processing (420) the first pressure signal (145) and the second pressure signal (155) to determine a processed value (170) for monitoring the health state of the patient (100) based on the processed value (170).

10. A computer program configured to perform and/or control the steps of the method (400) according to any of the preceding claims in a corresponding unit (160, 165).

11. A machine readable storage medium on which a computer program according to claim 10 is stored.
