1. An insulation unit (1) for an electrical machine having a hairpin with a plurality of connection pins (6) for electrical connection to an interconnection (7) and a plurality of soldered hairpin ends (5), characterized in that a matrix (2, 2', 2 ") is provided which has an insulating material and extends at least over a part of the circumference of the hairpin; the base body (2, 2') comprises a receiving region on the bottom side, which faces the hairpin winding and has openings (3) for receiving the hairpin ends (5), wherein separating walls (12) are arranged between the openings (3) at least in the circumferential direction, and the openings (3) and/or the separating walls (12) have fastening means for a non-positive and/or positive connection to the hairpin ends (5).

2. Insulating unit (1) according to claim 1, characterised in that said basic body (2, 2', 2 ") has notches (8, 8") for passing through the connection pins (6) of the hairpin winding.

3. Insulation unit (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the matrix (2, 2', 2 ") comprises the interconnections (7) for the connection pins (6) of the hairpin.

4. Insulating unit (1) as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said fastening is a deformable region of said opening (3).

5. Insulating unit (1) according to claim 4, characterised in that the deformable region is constituted by a narrowing (10) which in turn extends at least over a part of the depth of the opening (3) and reduces the clear width of the opening (3) to a dimension (11) which is smaller than the hairpin end (5).

6. Insulating unit (1) according to claim 4, characterized in that the deformable area is constituted by the elastic material of the matrix (2') and the opening (3) is constituted by a smaller perforation than the hairpin end (5).

7. Insulation unit (1) according to claim 4, characterized in that the deformable area is constituted by the opening (3) and/or the partition wall (12), wherein the deformable area is formed by a rough-rolled thermoplastic which is shrinkable due to heat supply.

8. Insulating unit (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the fastening is constituted by an adhesive provided in the opening (3) and/or on the partition wall (12).

9. Insulation unit (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the basic body (2, 2', 2 ") has a closed surface at the top side facing away from the hairpin winding to prevent the hairpin end (5) from penetrating.

10. Insulating unit (1) as claimed in claim 9, characterized in that said base body (2, 2', 2 ") is formed in multiple pieces and said closed surface is constituted by a plate harder than said containment region.

11. Insulation unit (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the opening (3) and/or the partition wall (12) have a softer coating than the material of the receiving area in order not to damage the insulation lacquer of the hairpin winding during assembly.

12. An electric machine with hairpin windings, characterized in that an insulation unit (1) according to one of claims 1 to 11 is provided.

13. The machine according to claim 12, characterized in that the insulation unit (1) is stitched with the hairpin.

14. Method for manufacturing an electrical machine according to one of claims 12 or 13, having an insulation unit (1) according to one of claims 1 to 11, comprising: providing the hairpin winding; positioning the insulating unit (1) on the hairpin winding with the opening (3) of the bottom side of the insulating unit (1) positioned towards the hairpin end (5); and fastening the insulating unit (1) on the hairpin by at least one of the following steps:

-pressing the hairpin end (5) into the opening (3) of the insulation unit (1) to establish a clamping connection;

-heating the insulating unit (1) to effect heat shrinking or curing of the fastener;

-stitching the insulating unit (1) with the winding heads of the hairpin winding.
