Technical Field
The present invention relates to a protector for a wire harness for inserting and holding a large number of electric wires wired in an automobile or the like, and a wiring structure of the wire harness using the same.
Background
Conventionally, in an electric system of an automobile or the like, a large number of electric wires to be wired are inserted and held in a harness protector and fixed to a fixed object on a vehicle body side, thereby protecting the electric wires from an external interfering member or restricting the path of the electric wires.
However, such a harness protector is configured to include a groove-shaped protector body and a lid body covering an upper opening of the protector body, as described in japanese unexamined patent publication No. 6-70415 (patent document 1) and the like. Further, after the large number of electric wires are inserted into the protector body, the cover body is fixed to the protector body via a lock mechanism provided to protrude outward from the side wall of the protector body, whereby the large number of electric wires can be held in the accommodated state.
Disclosure of Invention
Problems to be solved by the invention
However, in recent years, in addition to the demand for the compactness of automobiles, there is a tendency for vehicle-mounted electric components to increase, and electric wires constituting a wire harness increase, and conversely, the wiring space of the wire harness becomes narrow. Therefore, in the protector for a wire harness having the above-described conventional configuration, it is sometimes impossible to avoid an increase in size of the protector body for inserting and holding the wire harness, and the protector for a wire harness cannot be installed in a determined wiring space.
In particular, in the case of a branch portion having branch lines branching from a main line of a wire harness, a portion for inserting and holding the branch portion needs to be additionally provided, and thus it is not possible to avoid an increase in size of the protector.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a protector for a wire harness having a novel structure capable of inserting and holding a wire harness including a branch portion in a compact state while suppressing a height of the wire harness protruding from a fixing object, and a wiring structure of the wire harness using the protector.

The present invention relates to a wiring structure of a wire harness using a wire harness protector, wherein a plurality of wires constituting the wire harness are divided and inserted and held in a plurality of wire insertion portions by using the wire harness protector according to any one of the first to third aspects as the wire harness protector, and on the other hand, in the wire insertion portion farthest from the branching direction, the branch wire is inserted through the branch wire insertion window on the branching direction side and pulled out to the side, and on the other hand, in the wire insertion portions, the branch wire is inserted through the branch wire insertion window on the branching direction side and the branch wire insertion windows on both side surfaces of the wire insertion portion arranged adjacent to the branching direction side and pulled out to the side.

Detailed Description
First, embodiments of the present invention will be described.
A first aspect of the present invention relating to a protector for a wire harness is a protector for a wire harness as follows: the wire harness includes a plurality of wire insertion portions that divide and store a plurality of wires constituting a wire harness, the plurality of wire insertion portions being arranged in parallel, at least one side in a parallel direction of the plurality of wire insertion portions being a branching direction of the wires, a branch wire insertion window that extends in the longitudinal direction and is open on both side surfaces so as to allow a branch wire constituted by a part of the wires to be inserted therethrough is provided in an intermediate portion in the longitudinal direction that is orthogonal to the parallel direction in each of the wire insertion portions except for the wire insertion portion farthest from the branching direction, and the branch wire insertion window is provided in at least a side surface on the branching direction side in the wire insertion portion farthest from the branching direction.
According to this aspect, since the plurality of wire insertion portions that divide the plurality of electric wires into segments and store the plurality of electric wires are arranged in parallel, even when the number of electric wires constituting the wire harness is large, the electric wires can be divided into the plurality of wire insertion portions and stored and held, and therefore, the height of the protector for wire harness can be reduced. In addition, at least one side of the plurality of wire insertion portions in the parallel direction is a branching direction of the wires, each wire insertion portion other than the wire insertion portion farthest from the branching direction has a branching wire insertion window extending in the longitudinal direction and opened on both side surfaces thereof at a middle portion in the longitudinal direction, and the wire insertion portion farthest from the branching direction has a branching wire insertion window at least on a side surface on the branching direction side. With this configuration, the branch electric wire can be inserted into the branch electric wire insertion window on the branch direction side and pulled out to the side in the electric wire insertion portion farthest from the branch direction. In addition, in the other electric wire insertion portions, the branch electric wires can be inserted through the branch electric wire insertion windows on the branch direction side and the branch electric wire insertion windows on both side surfaces of the electric wire insertion portion disposed adjacent to the branch direction side and pulled out to the side. Therefore, it is not necessary to provide an additional portion for inserting and holding the branch portion in the harness protector, and the branch electric wires are inserted and held in the plurality of electric wire insertion portions, whereby the branch electric wires can be stably held, and the harness including the branch portion can be inserted and held in a compact state.
Further, since the branch wire insertion windows provided in the respective wire insertion portions extend in the longitudinal direction, the positions at which the wires are branched can be made different in the longitudinal direction for the respective wire insertion portions. This can prevent the branch wires from overlapping in the wire insertion portion located on the far side in the branching direction and increasing the height of the wire harness, and thus can advantageously reduce the height of the protector for a wire harness including the branch portion.
In a second aspect of the present invention relating to a protector for a wire harness according to the first aspect, each of the wire insertion portions has the branch wire insertion windows on both the side surfaces, and both the side surfaces in the direction in which the plurality of wire insertion portions are arranged can be set to the direction in which the wires branch.
According to this aspect, each of the electric wire insertion portions has the branch electric wire insertion windows on both side surfaces, so that both sides in the parallel direction of the plurality of electric wire insertion portions are in the branch direction. This reduces the directivity of the harness protector, and improves the versatility.
In a third aspect of the present invention relating to a protector for a wire harness according to the first or second aspect, the protector for a wire harness further includes: a base member fixed to a fixed object; and a plurality of insertion portion constituting members configured to include: an elongated upper wall portion disposed on the base member so as to face each other with a gap therebetween; and a pair of support leg portions projecting from both side edge portions of both side portions in a longitudinal direction of the upper wall portion toward the base member, wherein the pair of support leg portions of each of the insertion portion constituting members are detachably fixed to a plurality of fixing portions provided on the base member, respectively, thereby constituting each of the electric wire insertion portions, and the branch electric wire insertion window is defined by the base member, the upper wall portion, and the support leg portions on both sides in the longitudinal direction on the side surface of each of the electric wire insertion portions.
According to this aspect, each electric wire insertion portion can be configured by detachably attaching the insertion portion configuration member to a base member to be fixed to a vehicle side. Therefore, by arranging a plurality of wires on the base member and sequentially configuring the wire insertion portions from the side away from the branching direction, it is possible to improve workability and to realize easy and stable wiring at the branching portion.
Further, since the insertion portion constituting member is constituted by the upper wall portion and the pair of support leg portions protruding toward the base member at both side portions thereof, it is possible to suppress upward protrusion of the electric wire inserted and arranged in each electric wire insertion portion. Therefore, the height of the harness protector can be more reliably reduced.
A first aspect of the present invention relating to a wiring structure of a wire harness is a wiring structure of a wire harness using a protector for a wire harness according to any one of the first to third aspects, wherein a plurality of wires constituting the wire harness are divided and inserted and held in a plurality of the wire insertion portions, and in the wire insertion portion farthest from the branching direction, the branch wire is inserted through the branch wire insertion window on the branching direction side and pulled out to the side, and in the other wire insertion portions, the branch wire is inserted through the branch wire insertion window on the branching direction side and the branch wire insertion windows on both side surfaces of the wire insertion portion disposed adjacent to the branching direction side and pulled out to the side.
According to the wiring structure of the wire harness of the present aspect, since the plurality of wire insertion portions that divide and store the plurality of electric wires are arranged in parallel using the protector for a wire harness described in the first to third aspects, even when the electric wires constituting the wire harness are increased in size, the electric wires can be divided into the plurality of wire insertion portions and stored and held, and therefore, the protector for a wire harness can be reduced in height. With this configuration, the branch electric wire can be inserted into the branch electric wire insertion window on the branch direction side and pulled out to the side in the electric wire insertion portion farthest in the branch direction.
In a second aspect of the present invention relating to a wiring structure of a wire harness according to the first aspect, the drawn positions of the branch wires in the plurality of wire insertion portions are different from each other in the longitudinal direction.
According to this aspect, the drawn positions of the branch wires in the plurality of wire insertion portions are different from each other in the longitudinal direction. Thus, the electric wires branched from the electric wire insertion portions are advantageously prevented from overlapping, and therefore, the branched electric wires can be further reduced in height.
In a third aspect of the present invention relating to a wiring structure of a wire harness according to the first or second aspect, a sectional area of the wire harness to be subdivided inserted into each of the electric wire insertion portions is gradually increased in the branching direction.
According to this aspect, the cross-sectional area of the wire harness inserted through the wire insertion portion gradually increases in the branching direction. That is, the electric wire inserted into the electric wire insertion portion is thinnest in the electric wire insertion portion closest to the branching direction and gradually becomes thicker toward the farthest electric wire insertion portion. Thus, the branched wires do not cross wires thicker than the wires themselves, and the cross-sectional area of the wire harness inserted through each wire insertion portion can be equalized, thereby advantageously achieving a reduction in height.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In all the drawings, the same components are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description thereof is omitted as appropriate.
