The lower roll surface of the straightening roll is polished by the following specific process:

firstly, opening degree H of a roll gap of a straightening roll is opened to the maximum value, a roll surface grinding device is placed across the roll surface (shown in figure 2) of the straightening roll, one operator is positioned at the outlet side of the straightening roll (positioned at the left side of the straightening roll R9 in figure 2) and holds a hand-held handle 8 on the left end part of a supporting rod 1, and the other operator is positioned at the inlet side of the straightening roll (positioned at the right side of the straightening roll R1 in figure 2) and holds a hand-held handle 9 on the right end part of the supporting rod 1; the supporting seat 2 is rotatably placed in a supporting state, the storage battery 4 and a socket of the motor 3 are inserted, the roller surface grinding device is moved by an operator, the grinding wheel 6 is aligned with the defect position of the lower roller surface of the straightening roller, then the operator at the outlet side presses a starting button on the handle 8, the grinding wheel 6 is started to grind the lower roller surface of the straightening roller, after grinding is finished, the starting button is loosened, the power supply of the motor 3 is cut off, the grinding wheel 6 stops, the operating room is informed to inching the straightening roller, and the roller surface grinding device continues grinding the roller surface by operating as above until the grinding of the lower roller surface of the straightening roller is finished.

The upper roll surface grinding of the straightening roll comprises the following specific processes:

firstly, opening degree H of a roll gap of a straightening roll is opened to the maximum value, a roll surface grinding device is placed across the roll surface (shown in figure 3) of the straightening roll, one operator is positioned at the outlet side of the straightening roll (positioned at the left side of the straightening roll R9 in figure 3) and holds a hand-held handle 8 on the left end part of a support rod 1, the other operator is positioned at the inlet side of the straightening roll (positioned at the right side of a straightening roll R1 in figure 3) and holds a hand-held handle 9 on the right end part of the support rod 1, and the roll surface grinding device is rotated to enable a grinding wheel 6 to face upwards (the directions of the straightening rolls R2, R4, R6 and R8 in figure 3); the supporting seat 2 is rotatably placed in a supporting state, the storage battery 4 and a socket of the motor 3 are inserted, the roller surface grinding device is moved by an operator, the grinding wheel 6 is aligned with the defect position of the upper roller surface of the straightening roller, then the start button on the handheld handle 8 is pressed by the operator, the grinding wheel 6 is started to grind the lower roller surface of the straightening roller, after grinding is finished, the start button is loosened, the power supply of the motor 3 is cut off, the grinding wheel 6 stops, the operation room is informed to inching the straightening roller, and the roller surface grinding device continues grinding the roller surface by operating as above until the grinding of the upper roller surface of the straightening roller is finished.

In addition, an operator at any end of the support rod 1 presses the hand-held handle 8/9 to form a lever fulcrum by the support seat 2, so that the grinding force of the grinding wheel 6 is adjusted.
