Technical Field

The invention relates to a lighting device for a vehicle of the type described in claim 1. The invention also relates to a vehicle having such a lighting device.

Background

A large number of variants of vehicles having a bottom, at least one side door, at least one door sill and a lighting device are known. The lighting device comprises at least one luminous element which is arranged in the region of the door sill and/or the floor and can illuminate a predetermined floor in the region of at least one side door.

Different devices for protecting lighting devices arranged on the bottom or on the rocker are also known. For example, the lighting device may be movable between an operational position and a rest position. In the rest position, the respective luminous element of the lighting device is protected against dirt and debris.

A vehicle side sill part is known from DE 102006026944 a1, which has at least one lighting unit, which is designed to receive at least one luminous element in order to emit light in a light radiation direction. In the state of the fastening of the side sill part on the vehicle, the light radiation direction of the at least one lighting unit is directed toward the lane plane of the vehicle or is inclined to the lane plane of the vehicle. The vehicle side sill part further comprises a non-movable anti-soiling assembly having at least one wall section arranged beside the lighting unit and oriented substantially parallel to the light radiation direction.

A front area lighting device of this type is known from DE 102015008565 a1 for installation in the side sill area of a vehicle. The front area lighting device includes a housing and a lighting unit disposed in the housing for illuminating a front area of the vehicle. The lighting unit is designed with a luminous element arranged in the lamp holder. The lamp carrier is connected to the housing in a pivoting manner by means of a pivoting mechanism in such a way that the lamp carrier with the luminous element can be pivoted between a storage position, in which the luminous element is protected against the environment, and an operating position, in which illumination can be achieved.

The protection of the luminous elements on the known door sills against dirt and damage is complicated or does not make it possible to achieve a general overall illumination of the intended floor in the region of at least one side door.

Disclosure of Invention

The object of the invention is to provide a lighting device and a vehicle having such a lighting device, which enables a full illumination of the front region of the vehicle and is protected against dirt and damage.

This object is achieved by a lighting device having the features of claim 1 and by a vehicle having the features of claim 8. Advantageous refinements of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.

In order to provide a lighting device for a vehicle and a corresponding vehicle which enable a full illumination of a front region of the vehicle and protection of the lighting device against dirt and damage, a movably mounted air deflector can be moved between a first end position and a second end position, wherein the air deflector covers at least one luminous element in the first end position and opens/exposes the at least one luminous element in the second end position.

At least one luminous element is understood below as a light source which, in the event of poor lighting conditions outside the vehicle, illuminates a predetermined region of the floor in the region of the side door and thus makes it easier for the passenger to get on and off the vehicle. The predetermined region of the ground corresponds here to the front region of the vehicle. The area between the door sill and the floor can also be illuminated by a light cone generated by the at least one luminous element. In this case, objects in the swing radius of the side door can be more easily detected when the side door is opened. Furthermore, the lighting device according to the invention may for example comprise a plurality of luminous elements arranged alongside one another or elongate luminous elements. Furthermore, the lighting device may be used not only for illuminating the front area, but also for communicating the vehicle with the user.

In an advantageous manner, the air deflector of the lighting device according to the invention can reliably protect at least one lighting component against debris, dirt and moisture in the first end position. In the second end position of the open luminous element, the front region of the vehicle can be illuminated. Other lighting functions may also be implemented. In this case, the luminous element or luminous elements can be arranged over the entire length of the vehicle and are reliably protected by the air deflector in the first end position and open in the second end position, so that the area illuminated in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle according to the invention can be larger than in the known rocker and vehicle.

In an advantageous embodiment of the lighting device according to the invention, the drive device can drive the air deflector from the first end position into the second end position before the at least one luminous element is activated and from the second end position into the first end position after the at least one luminous element has been deactivated. In this way, the at least one luminous element can be protected by the air deflector for as long as possible, even in the parked state of the vehicle. The illuminating element can only be opened by the air deflector when the at least one illuminating element is in use or immediately before the at least one illuminating element is activated. Furthermore, the at least one luminous element can be directly protected again after deactivation by the air flow deflector in order to prevent debris, dirt and moisture.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the lighting device according to the invention, the air deflector can widen the outer geometry of the rocker or of the lower edge of the door in the first end position. This means that the air deflector projects beyond the immovable outer geometry of the rocker or of the lower door edge in the first end position during the driving operation and widens the effective outer geometry of the rocker or of the lower door edge. Preferably, the air deflector lies flush against the rocker outer geometry and forms a visual extension of the rocker outer geometry. The rocker outer geometry can be formed, for example, by a rocker trim, which is preferably designed as a plastic component, or by a body panel. Alternatively, the rocker outer geometry may be covered by an outer panel or a plastic bulkhead mounted on the outer panel. The actual rocker is then only visible when the door is open. In this embodiment, the air deflector cannot bear directly against the door sill in the first end position, but rather against the outer door panel or a plastic partition mounted thereon, and is transferred into the second end position before the door is opened. The air deflector can thus shield the side door or the vehicle side during driving operation in order to prevent stones or dirt from splashing from below upwards, whereby paint damage can be prevented or at least minimized in an advantageous manner. In addition, the protective film of debris in the area of the dangerous vehicle side can be advantageously dispensed with. Since the air deflector can be moved into a second end position, in which it is not visible, the immovable rocker outer geometry can be configured without losing the design freedom of the vehicle, since the size and geometry of the air deflector in the first end position reliably hides the danger zone from being hit by debris. The fixed rocker outer geometry or the door outer geometry can be formed here without taking into account the ideal protection against rocks, since this function is taken over by the air flow deflector. The vehicle appearance according to the invention can thus be configured to be more attractive. Furthermore, the air deflector can divert the air flow around the vehicle in the first end position, thereby improving the flow characteristics of the vehicle according to the invention at high speeds. Thus, embodiments of the lighting device according to the invention may exert a positive influence on the driving characteristics and efficiency of the vehicle. In the second end position, the air deflector can open the entry and exit regions of at least one side door, thereby enlarging the entry and exit regions, so that the comfort during entry and exit can be improved in an advantageous manner.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the lighting device according to the invention, the air deflector can be coupled to a door sill and/or a floor of the vehicle. For example, at least one guide rod pair/connecting rod pair which is mounted rotatably on the door sill and/or the floor and is connected to the air deflector forms a coupling between the door sill and/or the floor and the air deflector. The at least one luminous element can be fastened, for example, to the rocker trim or directly to the rocker and/or to the body panel of the floor. The pair of guide rods is likewise fastened pivotably or rotatably to the rocker trim or to the rocker and/or the floor panel, so that the air deflector connected to the pair of guide rods can be rotated. The air deflector is advantageously simply moved by a link pair, wherein the number of link pairs and the arrangement of the link pairs on the rocker trim or on the rocker and/or the floor body panel can be adapted to the available installation space.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the lighting device according to the invention, the drive means can drive at least one guide bar/link of the at least one guide bar pair. Furthermore, the drive device can be coupled to a coupling rod, which drives the plurality of guide rods. The air deflector can be moved from the first end position into the second end position and from the second end position into the first end position automatically in an advantageous manner as a function of predetermined parameters by the drive device, as a result of which a reliable illumination of the front region of the vehicle according to the invention and the implementation of at least one lighting function and a reliable protection of the luminous element can be achieved.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the lighting device according to the invention, the air deflector can be arranged in the second end position below the vehicle and open at least one entry region or exit region of the vehicle. The air deflector can be accommodated under the vehicle in an advantageous manner in a space-saving manner. Furthermore, it is possible to enlarge the upper and lower vehicle sections of the vehicle and prevent or at least hinder soiling of the pants legs or skirts due to contact with the air deflector.

In an advantageous embodiment of the vehicle according to the invention, the air deflector covers a lateral region of the vehicle in the first end position in order to prevent a rock impact. In addition to the at least one luminous element and the vehicle side, the wheel housing region can be advantageously protected against chipping and dirt.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the vehicle according to the invention, the at least one lighting function can activate the at least one luminous element when the at least one respective side door is opened or unlocked or for outputting at least one optical message. For example, a light blanket may be deployed to a vehicle user via at least one glowing member and adjusting the airflow deflector position when unlocked. When the vehicle door is opened, the surroundings of the vehicle door can be reliably illuminated by the activated luminous element. Furthermore, the lighting device may inform the user of the vehicle state or indicate a dangerous situation before the user gets on the vehicle, which may be caused by an approaching danger or an automatically operated entry system caused by other traffic participants approaching, for example a cyclist approaching from behind. Furthermore, the lighting function may invoke and execute different predetermined lighting scenes for greeting or farewell users. The illuminating means can thus be controlled by at least one lighting function, for example to emit a light signal in a beat and/or a different color signal, and/or to project pictographic and/or text messages on the ground. Comfort and safety advantages can thereby be achieved in an advantageous manner. The swing region of the side door can thus be projected in a warning color onto the floor and displayed to the user and/or other traffic participants, for example. The luminous element can be designed, for example, as a laser, LED, incandescent bulb, etc.

The advantages and preferred embodiments described for the lighting device according to the invention also apply to the vehicle according to the invention having such a lighting device.

The features and feature combinations presented in the description above and the features and feature combinations presented in the following description of the figures and/or shown in the figures individually can be used not only in the respectively given combination but also in other combinations or individually without departing from the scope of the invention. Thus, embodiments that are not shown or described in detail in the drawings, but which can emerge and be produced from the described embodiments by means of separate combinations of features, can also be regarded as being encompassed and disclosed by the present invention.

Detailed Description

The vehicle, which is not shown in detail, comprises a floor, at least one side door and at least one rocker 12 and at least one lighting device 10 with at least one luminous element 20. The luminous element 20 is arranged in the region of the door sill 12 and/or of the floor and, in the activated state, illuminates a predetermined floor in the region of at least one side door.

According to the invention, the movably mounted air deflector 14 is movable between a first end position and a second end position, wherein the air deflector 14 covers the at least one luminous element 20 in the first end position and opens the at least one luminous element 20 in the second end position.

A vehicle according to the invention, which is not shown in detail, has two vehicle sides, each with a rocker 12 and a lighting device 10 according to the invention. The vehicle side can have one or more vehicle doors.

As is further apparent from fig. 2 to 4, at least one luminous element 20 is arranged in the illustrated exemplary embodiment in the lower region of the rocker 12. In the illustrated embodiment, the lower region of the rocker 12 corresponds to a plastic trim. In an alternative embodiment, which is not shown, the at least one luminous element 20 can be arranged, for example, directly on the rocker 12 and/or on the body panel of the floor.

As further seen in fig. 4, the airflow deflector 14 is coupled to the rocker 12. In the illustrated embodiment of the lighting device 10 according to the invention, the coupling between the rocker 12 and the air deflector 14 is formed by at least one guide rod pair 32 which is rotatably supported on the rocker 12 and is connected to the air deflector 14.

As is further apparent from fig. 1, the first fastening arrangement 37 has two plate folds between which the first end regions of the links 32.1, 32.2 of the link pair 32 are pivotably mounted. In the illustrated embodiment of the first fastening module 37, each of the panel bends has two holes, through which the first fastening module 37 can be screwed to the rocker 12. In an alternative, not shown embodiment of the first fixing assembly 37, the first fixing assembly 37 can also be designed in another suitable type and manner, for example as a flat plate. Further, more or less than four apertures are contemplated. Furthermore, other suitable fixing elements than bolts and holes may be implemented. The second fastening arrangement 38 likewise has two plate folds between which the second end regions of the guide rods 32.1, 32.2 of the guide rod pair 32 are fastened. The plate bending of the second fastening assembly 38 is mounted pivotably on the air deflector 14.

As can be further seen from fig. 1, in the illustrated exemplary embodiment of the lighting device 10 according to the invention, seven luminous elements 20 are arranged on the rocker 12, wherein a gap 22 is arranged between each two luminous elements 20, through which gap at least one front link 32.1 of a link pair 32 arranged in the region of the gap 22 can be pivoted. The lighting element 20 may correspond to a laser diode, a Light Emitting Diode (LED), an incandescent bulb or another suitable lighting element. In an alternative embodiment of the rocker 10 according to the invention, more or less than seven luminous elements 20 can be arranged on the base body 12. For example, a continuous luminous element 20 is also conceivable.

As can be further seen from fig. 1 and 4, the drive 34 drives at least one guide bar 32.1 of at least one guide bar pair 32. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the front link 32.1 of the link pair 32 is driven via the coupling link 36. Alternatively, the rear link 32.2 of the link pair 32 can also be driven. In the illustrated embodiment of the rocker 10 according to the invention, the drive device 34 is arranged centrally on the rocker 12. In an alternative, not shown embodiment of the lighting device 10 according to the invention, the driving means 34 may also be arranged on the left or right side of the middle part. Due to the simple, central drive 34 and due to the elimination of the slide rail, the drive of the coupling device 30 and the air deflector 14 is simply maintained.

As can be further seen from fig. 2, the rocker 12 has in the exemplary embodiment shown a projection 12.2 above the luminous element 20. In the first end position shown, the air deflector 14 rests flush against the projection 12.2 and forms a visual extension of the outer geometry of the rocker 12, so that the luminous element 20 is surrounded above by the projection 12.2 and below by the air deflector 14 and is thus protected. As can be further seen from fig. 2, the air flow deflector 14 in the first end position shown protrudes beyond the immovable outer geometry of the rocker 12 and widens the effective outer geometry of the rocker 12. The air deflector 14 can thus divert the air flow flowing around the vehicle during driving operation, thereby positively influencing the driving behavior and the air resistance. In addition, the air deflector 14 covers the side regions, not shown in detail, and the wheel housing region of the vehicle according to the invention in the first end position in order to prevent debris from striking.

As can be further seen from fig. 3, the air deflector 14 is arranged in the second end position below the vehicle and opens at least one respective boarding area of the vehicle. Here, the drive device 34 transfers the air deflector 14 from the first end position into the second end position before the activation of the at least one luminous element 20 and from the second end position into the first end position after the deactivation of the at least one luminous element 20.

In the illustrated exemplary embodiment of the lighting device 10 according to the present invention, at least one lighting function activates the at least one luminous element 20 when at least one respective side door is opened or unlocked or for outputting at least one optical message. All of the luminescent elements 20 of the lighting device 10 can be activated. Alternatively, only the luminous means 20 in the region of the unlocked or opened vehicle door can be activated. Furthermore, the at least one lighting device also activates the drive device 34, which transfers the air deflector 14 into the second end position before the activation of the luminous element 20 and transfers it back into the first end position after the deactivation of the luminous element 20. In the illustrated embodiment, the first lighting function produces a light blanket in the area of the side door by means of the at least one luminous element 20 for the purpose of greeting and farewell users when the at least one respective side door is opened or unlocked. The second lighting function projects the swing area of the side door on the floor in a warning color. Of course, the lighting function can also be provided for any application. The illuminating means 20 can thus be controlled by at least one lighting function, for example to emit a light signal in a beat and/or a different color signal, and/or to project pictographic and/or text information on the ground in order to output information about the vehicle state or warning information. Comfort and safety advantages can thereby be achieved in an advantageous manner.
